Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

An introduction to this Christian Prophetic blog

This blog is intended as a way to make more widely available to the church and to the nations prophetic messages. As I have never blogged before, please bear with me as I attempt to find my way through the maze of technical stuff and blunder my way around til I get up and running with this. My aim is not to have a super-slick looking blog with bells and whistles sounding off at each mouse click, but if it is at least functional and gets the message out then that is all that really matters so let’s hope I get the hang of this quickly!

Of course it is the content of the actual message and not the slickness of its presentation that matters anyway, something that seems to have been forgotten in much of the 21st Century church. This grieves me greatly and is just one of the reasons for starting this blog.

The Church has been flooded by deception: with decieved but well-meaning Christians who have not heard ‘The Berean Call’ to test and weigh everything, with ’soft’ or ‘weak’ leaders who are not meticulous in weeding out false doctrine before it takes a hold on their congregation’s hearts and minds, (perhaps they fear man more than God), and then those that do not want to hear the truth and listen to only man-appointed ‘apostles’ and ‘prophets’ who preach and prophesy ear-tickling messages light years away from the New Testament (’tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies’). Just like a rich widow is romanced by a handsome young smooth-talking conman and deep down knows even while it occurs that she is being conned, she still listens to the seductive talk, loving and revelling in the flattery and thus she decieves herself and has really only herself to blame when the conman’s true colours are finally revealed. The charlatans a-plenty who do not fear man, God or Beast are out to fleece the vulnerable and undiscerning for every last dime and do so on most of the Christian television networks hour after hour. Then there are the more sinister ones who intentionally prey like vultures - the witches and satanic devotees who disguise themselves as angels of light and infiltrate churches with their satanic-inspired agenda which appears more like ‘the purpose driven church’ when in its ’sanctified form’. Satan knows scripture, (and very well), albeit he twists it for his own ungodly purposes. He is a good counterfeiter, looks, walks and talks almost like a real Christian.

And the true prophets who can speak into this - their voice is not heard much these days. When they are heard it is like a lone voice in the wilderness of false teaching, apostasy and flakiness.

I realise that a lot of Christians might get angry or stirred up when they read this as it goes against the grain of what they have been taught to accept, and is also against the tide of current opinion but PLEASE stop and ask God if there is truth to it before you ignore it or discard me as nutcase. God knows that in my youth, I wish I had been more discerning. Instead I jumped in headfirst, almost without question. Ask God for his wisdom which he will give to all without finding fault.

Other people may reject me as despite warning of the flakiness in the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, I still prize the spiritual gifts and believe in the prophetic ministry. There are some interesting websites out there that have a wealth of sound biblical information on them and have revealed the sharks and charlatans to be just that but unfortunately these sites are for the most part obviously anti-gifts of the spirit and anti-supernatural and so immediately lose the Pentecostal audience that needs to hear about the false teachings in their midst.

I am NOT anti-gifts of the spirit, what I urge though is discernment in their use. The Pentecostal and Charismatic and Third Wave movements to their shame have not historically valued discernment or been able to accept constructive criticism. Discernment is valued very highly in the New Testament, it is even a spiritual gift so much is it needed by the Church, and it is certainly NOT grieving or quenching the Holy Spirit to test or weigh any prophetic words before accepting them to be of God. If it were not so, the Corinthian Church would not have been urged to test and weigh CAREFULLY each prophecy (1 Cor 14.29), and we would not be commanded to test the spirits, whether they are of God ….as many false prophets have gone into the world. (I John 4:1-6)

And where are the true prophets today? They are (mostly) not welcomed as the truth is hard to take and is for the foremost not wanted by the 21st Century Church. God’s true ones perhaps do not look attractive enough, wear smart enough clothes or speak (or write) eloquently enough or speak the right buzz words or have the right contacts. They do not have the Gucci suits, cosmetic surgery or limosines and so in prosperity churches or on the God Channel etc would be rejected before they even reached the door. They refuse to use buzz words, manipulative voice intonation, mesmerism or other hypnotic techiniques and do not need to yell at the top of their voice or have people fall over ’slain in the spirit’ when they speak. They do not need to hype the audience up into a frenzy before they give a message. They speak normally. They speak humbly. And because of this (and more) they are not wanted.

Preach fire! Preach anointing! Preach revival!

How dare you say that we must repent! I’m spiritual. I’m right before God. I go to lots of meetings and get blessed re-e-aalll good. The anointing is so strong there that I…….

I don’t feel the same buzz at YOUR meetings.

What do you mean you are NOT going to talk about revival? Today I wanna hear about revival. What do you mean when you say the other prophets who say the nations will be ablaze with revival this year are not right? What do you mean that the prophets who are talking about the recent floods being floods to wash away sin and bring in righteousness are false? What do you mean a message of repentance must be preached first? Floods of blessing and anointing oil and revial that’s what I want and some spiritual warfare. Yeah! Yee hah!

What do you mean when you say that my version of spiritual warfare is not effective and is often a diversion tactic from the enemy to stop us preaching the gospel? How dare you!!!!!!! I spent loads of money on going to Cindi Jacobs’ conferences. How dare you! She is a woman of God! How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course it is Biblical, of course it is effective….it must be! All the top people are into it……..they are godly men and women. They aren’t decieved. They aren’t decievers! Don’t give me that. See how their faces shine! I can see the spirit on them - Satan disguised as angels of light, you say? Now you are being ridiculous! Get out! Get out of my church and don’t come back! I do not NEED to test and weigh everything. I know on this I am right! I must be! Besides which, my pastor would tell me if I were wrong.

How dare you say that we in the church must repent!

How dare you say that we are goats and not sheep! How dare you say that we must have servant hearts and love others. I want my ministry to be about body counts for people slain in the spirit, I do not want to wash my brother’s feet. That homeless guy? Ugh? You must be joking! Let someone else less spiritual than me do that. I’m off to another church meeting where I am going to soak up the Spirit. What do you mean God wants me to feed the poor instead of going to that meeting, don’t give me that! I have thrown my money onto the waters. That’s right I gave all those dollars to that TV evangelist, that’s my giving taken care of. God will bless me real good for that.

Preach fire! Preach anointing! Preach revival!

and so on.

I do not jest.

True prophets can get compromised, pressured to conform, are quieted through various manipulative forms or doctrines (eg told they are wrong, told the five-fold ministry is no longer applicable to the church, told the spiritual gifts have ceased, or they are not given the chance to speak in church, are forced into ungodly submission to a man who will abuse his spiritual authority, or a ‘good one’ is they are encouraged to intercede rather than speak which is another cop-out, or they are steered towards another ministry/calling in its place (an ‘anti-ministry’) which can look very tempting.). They can fall prey to the temptations of pride and false authority, worldly gain and a ‘power ministry’ that is outside of God’s Will - the same temptations as Jesus faced in the wilderness. Some fall, some stay in the wilderness til the lessons are learned, some never get to the wilderness in the first place as they are too weak to be led there by the spirit (God knows they would fall), and others, when they return from the wilderness conquering these temptations suffer, they are ostracized, criticised, slandered, misunderstood, rejected and in my experience battle the giants of defeat and discouragement, questioning their gifting and calling and frequently get very, very hurt and can go back to the wilderness time and again til their skin gets tougher and when obedience to God is all that matters come abuse or flattery.

And as a consequence of this hurt, true prophets have often hidden and retired and withdrawn into themselves after having rock upon rock of abuse hurled at them from the church, or are still crying and feeling sorry for themselves down the deep well they have been thrown into. Some have hidden from Jezebel into the caves and have not come out for fear of reprisals. And some fear Man more than God and God will deal with them in a storm leading to deep repentance the belly of a whale.

May the true prophets come out from hiding and speak up in these days and in these times! They are needed as much now as ever.

It is my belief that the major known prophetic organisations and networks out there (that all seem to lead and network to one source and to one self-appointed head, C Peter Wagner) ARE antichrist and intentionally aim to reach the true prophets and mold them to the false with deception, flattery and pressure to conform to the current tide. Thus the TRUE voice is stilled in these end times and the end times beast rises up in her place that will in its time persecute the true believers. People who love God and have a true prophetic gifting/ministry/calling can be in innocently in this network, quiet unaware of the true agenda, albeit as they spend more and more time in the network they become weakened and compromised - it is time for them to come out and have no more part of it. Have nothing to do with such men. Some true prophets who have refused to align themselves to this network will not get invited to minister many places or get a higher profile by doing so so their voice is not heard much and most Christians will not have heard of them. I urge them to stay strong, and stay true to God and their convictions and to keep speaking despite the stone throwing.

Let the true prophets speak and open the church’s eyes to her true state. Let the Christians who have their eyes opened speak up, and warn their churches and leaders once, twice with someone else present if not previously heeded and then possibly three times and if nothing changes then leave their churches and find somewhere that does adhere to the truth. Have nothing to do with such men.

God wants a prophetic church and a prophetic people. A clean people with clean hands and clean hearts, a pure and spotless bride, not the monster it has in many places become.

  1. You are so right in many of your observations. I’ve been that rejected, castaway prophet. Now, as I follow Christ, I worry less about how I’m treated or recieved, just that I proclaim His truth. Kind of like the Peter and John story of John 21:20-22.
God’s strength be with you as you proclaim His word.

  5. You have wonderful information here. I might add that sometimes God purposely causes the Prophet (with a capital “P” ;) to err. This, so that Jesus may turn all the mistakes around, which he always does for a true prophet. Hang in there all Prophets. I took a BEATING for standing up for God’s Laws which were written upon my heart. (I found out years later.)
God TV…what can I say…it is sad that the Alecs refuse to repent and want doors to open made by man’s doings. Thank you again for ministering to God’s Prophets. My, you must be BLESSED BY GOD for defending us!

  6. True story: One day last week God woke me up at 3:00 am and told me to “go outside; I want to show you something.” I argued that I was TOO TIRED and LEAVE ME ALONE! I want to sleep! Then, He promised that He would allow me to go back to sleep after I went outside. So, I went out and sat on the bench on my front deck and heard an Owl hooting in a tree out in front. Then, God said to me, “since you think you know all things, tell me what the Owl is saying.” Listening, listening, listening…oops! Guess I wasn’t QUITE as smart as I thought I was! I began to pray in Native American and it was revealed that the Owl was singing to me, JESUS LOVES YOU! JESUS LOVES YOU! JESUS LOVES YOU!

  7. Cathy: God does not ’cause’ anyone to err, as God cannot sin, neither can we ever accuse God of tempting us as he does not, he is perfect and this just goes against his character. He may ALLOW any of his people to sin or err however, just as he gives permission to Satan to sift God’s loved ones from time to time in order to perfect them/humble them/bring out about his purposes. But he never causes them to err or sin, he allows it. Huge differance.

We can stay for the sake of the ’sheep’ can we? to help warn and open their eyes before they get further decieved by the falseness that their leaders are teaching them?

  9. i guess that even if prophets of this time were not stoned literally, they are still stoned with ’stones of rejection’ by the people. =(

  11. Jesus said in the Last Days, there would arise false christs and false prophets that would deceive the very elect if it were possible…………. I was beginning to wonder if there were any true Prophets remaining! God gave me the gift of discernment letting me view through the glass darkly. It’s a frightful thing knowing that God is giving people over to a reprobate mind, The Holy Spirit having departed the church leaving the people in a state of apostacy.

While seeking God for a fresh anointing, Jesus spoke to me and told me to first get myself purified and cleansed of unrighteousness. The Gifts and Ministries were given to men (Eph4) to bring them into perfection and now God was giving the anointing to His Saints.

  12. Please provide a code of ethics for prophetic ministers. What standards are required in regards to money matters that keep one unspotted from this world? How does one decide who is a false prophet? Does on false prophecy mean a person is a false prophet?

This site is good, better than the big name sites in prophecy in my opinion. But noboby is perfect in the sense of being just as perfect as Jesus.

  15. Miriam, I wasn’t sure where to leave this comment! I wanted to say that I stumbled across a programme on a Christian Channel(Faith Channel) that was actually worth watching. It was called Cross TV. I so despair of what I see on these channels, and it was good to listen to some balanced teaching. Occasionally I find good stuff (usually on UCB) but less and less often these days!
On another subject, I have been following the comments from Brother Eric, and have been alarmed by the arrogant tone used, the threatening language, and the mean spirited attitude. I AM KEEPING YOU FIRMLY IN MY PRAYERS. With love in our Lord.

  16. Thanks for the prayers and encouragement, Elizabeth.

Is Crosstalk the one with the white middle aged guy on a panel with people calling in on the phone about all sorts of things? If so, the one I was watched was OK. A bit Zionist, (or perhaps they were just that day), but it was ok.

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | March 31, 2008

  17. This does have a middle-aged white guy, standing mostly in a strange open-air study-type place! However, it is called CrossTV and there is a website. The latest teaching is called ‘does the truth matter anymore?’. I wouldn’t have said it was Zionist although I confess I do not hold with Replacement Theology and have quite strong views about Anti-Semitism etc so maybe I wouldn’t pick up on that. I have been listening to sermons by Paul Washer after checking out the Flee Babylon Link. Bit of an eye-opener really. I’m still following the comments on Joyce Meyer with interest. It seems I’m having to question a lot of stuff I have previously accepted as sound.

    Comment by Elizabeth | March 31, 2008

  18. I don’t think this is the same one, as it is a closed studio with normally a panel of two or three I am thinking of.

  19. Wow, I cannot tell you how encouraged I am by your site. I actually stumbled across it googling one of the “big names” in the prophetic.

I come from a cessationist background and have been led by the Spirit to the realization that the gifts are for today. I disagree with some of the “words” coming out of late from some of the more well known “prophets” and unfortunately it’s an area in which my spouse and I disagree. Your site is an oasis in the midst of it all.

I will be spending a lot of time on your site in the coming days/weeks as I get “caught up” with what you have written.

    Thanks!

  20. hi-i read your post on John Haggee..but the part about pre-trib rapture and post-trib…i’ve always believed in pre trib…you said in that post that a pre-trib rapture might potentially cause a believer or believers to take on the anti-christ as christ..how is that possible if the rapture takes place as the man of lawlessness is revealed?just a question…also if its post-trib then you’ll know the day or hour of Christ’s coming and no man knows that…JCL

  21. Miriam said about true prophets: do not need to yell at the top of their voice or have people fall over ’slain in the spirit’ when they speak… They speak normally. They speak humbly. And because of this (and more) they are not wanted

Guess Jesus was false cause His preaching had such power and authority in it that peoples eyes were fastened upon him, they were amazed at His teaching, and the devils were driven into

manifestation. Mark 1:22 “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.”
    Again in Luke:
“Luke 4:17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
Luke 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Luke 4:20 ¶ Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him”
Notice there was such a power in Jesus word that just reading a passage from the Bible caused the people to fasten their eyes upon him before He even said or preached anything controversial.

Guess Philip the evangelist was false too cause his meeting read just like Jesus’:”When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.
Acts 8:7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.
Acts 8:8 So there was great joy in that city.

Notice that joy was a result of the evangelist’s ministry. ie the thing that makes one happy and laugh.

Repentance is a Greek compound word metanoia from the two words “meta” a preposition meaning “again” and “nous” meaning “mind.” A good literal interpretation would be “think again,” “re- think” or “change your mind” Jesus would say ” The Kingdom of heaven is near repent and believe the good news. The kingdom of God was not coming to drive out Roman dominion but satanic dominion. The hearers needed to re think change their mind think again about the nature of the kingdom in order to receive it. Whoever is willing to accept the premise that Satan has control of the kingdoms of the world and can give them to who he wills LK 4 and is willing to accept that today God wants to drive out Satan and set up His own Lordship in her life can receive the invisible kingdom and its dominion over demons disease and death.

Jesus preached the kingdom of God being at hand and drove out devils from those that were willing to change their mind and believe the gospel. Repentance is not about turning from sin as much as turning to God in believing today is the day of receiving God as king in the life with a supernatural conversion of heart that results in deliverance from sin’s hold.

There is something very contradictory about receiving a supernatural conversion and then not believing in supernatural power. Those who reject supernatural healing are probably not supernaturally born again and will be in hell in the end.

  22. “Acts 8:8 So there was great joy in that city”
so everyone in that city fell to the ground and laughed with uncontrollable laughter, some even barked as dogs and clucked as chickens and this went on for hours and hours…this is joy of the lord? what about the rest of the bible?..1 Corth 14:40 Let ALL things be done decently and in order.

  23. The problem with the “well know” and highly publicized prophetic ministries of today is that they have all become infiltrated with Kingdom theology or Manifest Sons of Gods. I was vaguely aware of this but on the other hand did not know fully what that meant. I came across a most beautifully written website which I would like to share by Al Dager. Perhaps most are familiar with this writing but if not, I found it extremely helpful in helping weed out some of the teachings I have been exposed to. http://www.intotruth.org/res/kt1.html

God allowed something to happen in the former church I attended for 10 years which caused me to begin to question what on earth I was doing in that church. My husband and I immediately left and have had difficulties bringing ourselves to find another church (we have since moved) because quite frankly I was afraid of falling prey once again to something that seemed Biblical only to find out later there was an unholy mixture.

That was 8 years ago. I have been in isolation until recently when God once again woke me up. I am finding I now can study to the word again because I’ve been away from these false teachings long enough to be able to once again have discernment. I’m sure if God hadn’t delivered me from that church, I would be like so many unfortunate souls who are buying into it hook, line and sinker. I am burdened to pray for the people who remain in many of these churches and rely on what they see on “Christian” TV.

Thank you for this website, it is helping me once again see things more clearly.
