Letter 1
Dearest in Christ,
It is by the grace of God that I received Christ, knowing the truth and the truth have set me free. Having known the truth, I had no choice than to do what is lawful and right in the sight of God for eternal life and in the sight of man for witness of God´s mercy and glory upon my life.
I have the pleasure to share my testimony with you, having seen your contact from the Internet. I am Barrister Philips David , the legal adviser to late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Adams, a British couple that lived in my Country Nigeria for 25 years before they both died in the plane crash Early last year. These couples were good Christians, they so dedicated to God but they had no child till they died. Throughout their stay in my country, they acquired a lot of properties like lands, house properties, etc.
As their legal adviser, before their death, the husband Mr. Anthony Adams instructed me to write his WILL. Because they had no child, they dedicated their wealth to God. According to the WILL, the properties have to be sold and the money be given out to a ministry for the work of God. As their legal adviser, all the documents for the properties were in my care. He gave me the authority to sell the properties and give out the fund to the Ministries for the work of God.
In short, I sold all the properties after their death, as instructed by Mr. Anthony Adams before his death. And as matter of fact, after I sold all their properties, I realized $10,000,000.00 (Ten million US dollars ), . Therefore the total amount to be invested into God’s work as instructed by the owner, is $10,000,000.00 (Ten million US dollars) only. But Instead of giving the main fund out for the work of God as instructed to me by the ownerbefore his death. I converted the fund to myself with the intention of investing the fund abroad for my personal use. I was afraid of putting the fund in the Bank, because I have to give account to the bank on how I got the money. I then packaged the fund in consignments and deposited the consignments with a security company. I did not want the management of the Security Company to know the content of the consignments, therefore I registered the content of the consignments as Gold Bars. Now, the security company believes that what I deposited with them was Gold Bars.
I had encounter with Christ when Pastor Benny Hinn was preaching on television concerning Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5:1-11. After hearing the word of God, I gave my life to Christ and became a born again Christian. As a born again Christian, I started reading my bible and one day, the Lord opened my eyes to Ezekiel 33: 18 and 19 where the word of God says: “When the righteous truth from his righteousness, and committee iniquity, he shall even die thereby. But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby”. From the scripture, I discovered that the only way I could have peace in my life is to do what is lawful and right by giving out the fund as instructed for the work of God by the owner before his death.
I have asked God for forgiveness and I know that God have forgiven me. But I have to do what is lawful and right in the sight of God by giving out the fund to the chosen ministry for the purpose of God’s work as instructed by the owner before his death.
After my fasting and prayers, I asked God to make his choice and direct me to a honest Christian or the chosen ministry that deserves this fund by his Grace. I then came across your address on the Internet as I was browsing through a Christian site, and as a matter of fact, it is not only you or your ministry that I picked on the Christian site initially, but after my fervent prayer over it, then you were nominated to me through divine revelation from God, so these are how I received such a divine revelation from the Lord, how I got your contact information, and I then decided to contact you for the fund to be used wisely for things that will glorify the name of God.
I have notified the Security Company where I deposited the consignments that contained the Gold Bar, that I am moving the consignment abroad and the security company has since been waiting for my authority for the consignment to leave my country and move to abroad.
So if you know that you will use this fund honestly and wisely for things that will glorify God’s name, You should also forward to me your FULL NAME AND COMPLATE ADDRESS,TELEPHONE and FAX NUMBERS,through Personal email address: xxx for easy communication and to send you the documents concerning the consignments.

I am Mrs Joan Nelson from United Kingdom. I was married to Nelson The CEO Veekrol Link Srl, a seasoned contractor in West African Region before he died in the year 2002. We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness. After his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home.When my late husband was alive, he deposited the sum of $5.5 Million USD in a bank My Doctor told me that I would not last for the next three months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate this funds to better the lives of the less privileged. These emails are both apparently from Christian people who quote the Bible and seem to be very well meaning. However they are from scammers and spammers. I recieved an identical email to Joan’s from a Mrs. Stella Sigcau. All three emails plus many others arrived in my email box today along with several others announcing I had won the lottery. Note that just because these people use the name of Jesus Christ and quote the Bible, it does not make this any less of a con.
I must get literally thousands of such scam emails a year, most of them originating out of Africa although of course they claim to be from elsewhere. I seem to get far than average, probably because I work for a Christian company and these snakes are wise enough to recognise that Christians are generally more naive than ‘normal’ people and if the word ‘faith’ and ‘blessing’ is mentioned they know they’ll catch a few suckers by dangling the bait.
The emails have got even worse lately. One wonders why these spammers persist as surely everybody knows by now that these are scammers. However, in a recent magazine article, it indicated that there are plenty of people who get suckered into these schemes still and will not listen to the voice of reason or sense and will get drained of hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process.
I wonder what would happen if ‘Philips David’ or ’Joan Nelson’ appeared on Christian TV stations such as TBN or the God Channel? Or sent out a letter aka a flyer tucked into the pages of Charisma magazine? And promised ‘blessing’ or ‘healing’ along with a financial return and mentioned the words ‘faith’ a few more times? I reckon they’d do very well. After all enough scams go on certain christian tv channels already purporting to be true Christian ministries, and they do extremely well.
I ask what is the differance between the scam email merchants with their get rich quick money-making schemes, and the scammers seen every day and night on many Christian TV stations or on the church/conference circuit? What is the differance? Honestly? I can see some people reading this now open-mouthed as if I have blasphemed. But I have not. The Lord Jesus Christ is wonderful, he is Lord of all and at his name every name will bow, but many people currently use his name for evil purposes and Christians need to wise up to this. Good Christian folk are being conned in the name of the Lord and refuse to believe it could happen or believe that serpents will brazenly use the name of Jesus Christ or the ‘anointing’ for ill purposes.
There are numerous names we could ‘name and shame’. Lets take about Bynum who has been in the news of late.
Juanita Bynum has had folks lining up to give her money ‘to get blessed’. There were $500 “lines” and so forth, the idea being the more you gave to her the more you blessed. God’s blessing is FREE!

Wake up people and wake up church! These people are conning you! Before you give any money to a ministry, check yourself and ask, are you being conned? Could your money go to better purposes? Note I am not against giving to a ministry, but I am saying to Christians be wise for scammers are out there!

I just saw a show recently on MSNBC I think it was where an undercover reporter traced an internet scam to somewhere in Africa. Many of their headcourters are in Africa.
But it’s even worse when it happens on TBN, God TV, or other TV ministries. Really tragically sad.

nowadays it is just mere a business for the christians to get funds and meet their selfish needs, and saying that they r doing His Work.

Hepsy: where God sends you, he will always provide. James Hudson Taylor (a missionary to China) and George Muller (a founder of English orphanges) made it their policy never to ask for money of anyone but for God, and they constantly saw miracles of provision released into the lives. Don’t follow moeny but follow God. Too many ministries follow where the money is rather than go and let the money follow them.

I’m feeling overwhelmed right now. I’m wondering about my last 6 years in the charismatic movement. I watched Christian TV every chance I got. I also supported with my offerings. I’ve given to Creflo, Avanzini, Copeland, Paula White, Mike Murdock, Benny Hinn etc. And for a couple of years God really blessed me financially. The other 4 years have been so-so financially. Anyway, I have thousands of dollars in tapes and books on Word of Faith, Prosperity, etc. Do I need to get rid of all this, or just be more discerning when I listen/read them? Also, do you believe the Seed/Faith teaching is Biblical?
Tina: not everybody and everything in the Charmismatic movement is bad, flaky, heretical etc….but there is a lot of it going on with no discernment and lots of heresy there and elsewhere. I want to affirm there is some good there too and not all your years have been wasted, and many experiences and teachings will be valid - it’s just the wheat and tares are mixed in with very little discernment.
My rule of thumb is if it is on Christian TV (especially TBN and the God channel) and is popular, it is probably flaky and you should not have anything to do with the teacher! If God blessed you financially for giving, then he will not stop if you start giving to more worthy projects or to the poor, will he?
I would not have anything to do with the people you have mentioned, especially Copeland who is really really bad, and I would recommend binning or burning everything connected with Copelands and renounce it as it is as dark as dark can be.
Seed faith teaching is also vile. It is dark and chokes its followers. Word of faith and prosperity is also rubbish. There are grains of truth in in, but it is distorted beyond all recognition of the truth. While I would not personally have their books and tapes in my house, it is up to you what you choose to do with the rest of this material. I can tell you I have been reading Judges and Joshua where it showed they had spiritual defeat because they did not completely and ruthlessly root out the enemy/error in their midst.
Definitely be more discerning to everything you read/hear in the future regardless. I think however you need to try to completely distance yourself from this bad teaching for a while so you can see it with completely with fresh and unbiased eyes somewhere down the line. My suggestion is to get into the word of God alone for a while - no other authors or Christian radio or TV - and let God unlearn you of any garbage built up in you. Then build your own understanding of what is true and what is right based on the word of God alone. It is hard, but ask God for wisdom and discernment. His Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth if you diligently search the scriptures and enquire of the Lord.

That last paragraph was spot-on! Yesterday,I had made the decision to turn the TV preachers off and stop reading others books and just seek God thru His Word for me to become “unbrainwashed”. Yesterday I was really grieving, did I know how to hear God’s voice anymore, since I had been so led astray doctrinely? I was really doubting my whole relationship with God (not my salvation though, I was saved at the age of 5). Therefore for you to confirm what I thought I should be doing now let’s me know I CAN still hear His voice. Praise God!

It does depend on differant seasons, sometimes God calls us to study the word alone, and sometimes to use commentaries and Bible studies and all sorts to help us. My best advise is to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth and trust Him and follow his leading to what books or topics you need to read, and enquire of the Lord as you do so, and remember not all study will feel inspired, sometimes we not feel blessed to be blessed!
First and foremost your own feed must come from personal understanding of the scriptures as your own mind must become disciplined to hear from God for yourself. Even if I recommended a great preacher or commentator then if you depend on his own revelation rather than your own, you miss the blessing of having open eyes to see and learn for yourself and have an independent mind - and God knows you need an independant mind in this day and age.
I understand this, which is why it is a good idea to ask God about reading the gospels through, or the book of the law or some other structured study of the prophets etc. It is hard going to read the Bible from cover to cover. I tried it when I first became a Christian - attempting to read it all over several days - and found it at the time completely uninspiring and got bogged down in Leviticus and Chronicles and then the prophets! Now I have a better knowledge of the scriptures, it would not be unhelpful to do this, at the time it was a total waste of time for me as little went in, it was quanity not quality - I just got angry as I had no understanding, I would have been far better to just meditate on one of the gospels, or just one passage, thinking and reflecting on this.
I have found it remarkable that as I trust God what I need to read, so I am led to exactly what I need to hear. Going by my own plans, I should be reading Romans at the moment. However I felt led to Joshua, Judges and Ruth and this stuff is dynamite, it is exactly what I need to hear and I have seen things I have never thought before or realised in these books. I am not saying Romans is not dynamite - it is just it does not contain exactly what I need to hear right now in the way I can see it as clear as daylight about calling to the church to purity and holiness and confronting the Eli priesthood!

I operate in the office of the prophet. I am very concerned about the abuse of prophets and so called international ministers. Quite frankly I am saddened. These are abuses that I wish at all cost to aviod in the ministry god has given to me. This leads me to ask te following questions
Are you apart of an alternative propehtic counsel and if whats is the name ? How do people go about joining this council to remain acocuntable to it.
christopher Butler: no I am not part of an alternative prophetic council, because quite frankly I have not found one (yet) that is not flaky or heretical or makes prophets properly accountable, and also I know very few genuine prophets in ministry that have not compromised (partly because of their joining in with the gang). You/we are accountable anyway whether you join such a council or not, to God and then the church.

I enjoy your site. I believe your ministry is balanced.
I personally know a prophet you believe to be false. I have had issues myself with many many “prophecies” in the past that never came to pass. One in particular few ever heard of was regarding a dear mutual friend who died from a brain tumor.
He told her she WOULD NOT die, she would live to see her children’s children. In less than a year she was dead. The church even let him speak at her funeral!!!!! These “prophets” are very protected. If you challenge “their prophecies” you are told “touch not Gods anointed.” There are many sincere people I know and love dearly who attend this church, which is why I still attend. I don’t know what it’s going to take for God to wake up his bride. I pray they have oil in their lamps when He returns.

If you are reading this womans book or website, I suggest you stop immediately. This woman is completely false and I will use the words demonic without hesitation.
She has sold over half a million copies of her book, I being one of the idiots that wasted my money. And by the time I got to page 33 I felt like my spirit had been ripped to shreds, I became ill and I felt like my salvation was not intact. I prayed and God told me to destory the book, so I tore it up ad threw it in the bin. It was the best thing I ever did.

Deborah: I had been meaning to write an article on her and some others for some time but time constraints unfortunately mean I have not been able to yet. This woman is totally false. There is a whole brigade of false testimonies like hers out there.
Just this claim on her website says it all: ‘Whoever judges “Heaven is so Real” and other prophetic books should read Matthew 7:1-6, repent and stay ready for the rapture before it’s too late. Christians should never judge other Christian’s work of God.’
Yeah right! I judge you and find you lacking Choo, not to mention unscriptural.
wow, I had the same feeling too of choo thomas. I downloaded her testimony once. and at first I thought, cool. But there was an airyness ..something was a bit off ..within 10minutes into the testimony.
It was until I heard her say that unborn babies of people are in hell..thats when I knew this was rank unscriptural. False teaching for sure. i didnt even stop to listen anymore.

We started these services for the Glory of our Lord Jesus and the main purpose of this work is to stare the word of God through preaching and through upliftment of Christian who is persecuted church here in Pakistan .
Pakistan is Islamic country we are living here in minority .We have 2nd number citizenship . Christians people are living here tough life not have much resources .Now we discovered the major reason of this miserable situation is the high illiteracy rate and poor living conditions in these areas. After knowing this reality we decided a group should be formed, which would perform its role to improve the lives of the people.
Christ Apostolic Fellowship Organization {CAFO} is a cluster of Saints to who are serving the God and sharing the word of God among the people as written in Matthew
28:19 “ Go to all the Nations and make Disciples ………………” CAFO has been working in 2 big regions of Punjab Province, Faisalabad and Multan. These regions consist on 8 cities and 17 villages. The Saints are going to share the word of God in these areas. District Toba Tek Singh is the center of CAFO and its office situated in District Toba Tek Singh.
CAFO has been serving for the glory of God for last tree years. CAFO is serving in the following fields.

We are running a Bible College to train the young boys and girls to fight the good fight of their faith in an Islamic society.
These students in this college are doing one year Diploma in Theology. They are studying Bible KJV and church history. Bible teachers are working voluntarily.
Evening Home Schools:-
we started this work with home evening schools for deserving Christian children .These children are working in different field like in small hotel , cleaning home and hospitals ,. And also with farmers So the education is the first step of the Development of Nation .So that is necessary for Christian people to know their religion Christianity and also know about basic education of this world .Now we started evening home schools in our working areas .Now this time we have 8 Evening home schools .
Formal Education School :-
In this world the formal education is very necessary for the children .Because Education is the first step of the Development of the Nations .Now in Pakistan English Medium good education is very expensives .so poor people cannot afford to get it .In 2003 we start our CAC School with Oxford Syllabus in Toba Tek Singh for poor and orphan children. In this field the volunteer pastors, assistant pastors and college students are struggling to find funds to support Christian students for their educational needs.
CHILDREN MINISTRIES,
In this Ministry our volunteer pastors and assistant pastors are taking Sunday schools for more or less 100 Children in different areas of Punjab. We believe that the children must know Jesus from their childhood.
ORPHAN CHILDREN
We are struggling to find funds to provide some orphan children their basic needs of life like education, food, clothes, medicines and other needs of life. We have an orphanage building and funds to run it in our prayers for these Christian children. We have 42 orphans children to Support ( We are supporting them )
Women Ministry :-
We have 8 women group in our working areas .We are working with poor , old and widow women .Women activities
1-. women prayer groups .
2-Adult Literacy centers.
3-Health care center .
4- sewing Center.
For Future :-
1- To reach millions of lost souls .
2- Much more home churches to share the word of God with families .Pakistan is Islamic country mijority of people are Muslems so Christians are living here in minority .Most of people are not educated and they follow Islamic customs and habits and many things . Now Muslem s motivate them and they accept Islam .
3- An orphanage to get all the orphan together and provide them a family atmosphere .
4- To develop the Elmentary school into High School .
We do work then earn money to run our ministry. We dont have regular fund for our ministry. So this is my request kindly start work with us.

I get many messages similar to yours asking for money here (almost all in response to this thread, interestingly enough) - from mainly India, Pakistan and Africa, which are deleted without being posted as they prove my point about chain Christian sounding begging letters. Although I can see through these letters, many others may not so I will not post them as I will not be party to a con - as many could be easily taken by them to send money to non existent ministries - or worse. I have, however, posted, not deleted, these two comments recieved in the last 24 hours in order to show you and others thinking of emailing me that you are not the only ones sending out such requests on this thread, and to show I am aware of these but I will not send money via this thread, and certainly not to duplicate spam begging letters. Some of them are word for word (albeit with the names and addresses changed) as per your last long email - and it was not from you but someone else. I have had several like this over the last few months - just like the African lottery scams.
You may be genuine - but you do not help yourself if so by the way you present your case. If your mission is not to only ask for money, but to really offer assistance and spread the word of God into your native tongue, please feel free to translate anything into Urdu that you think is relevant. If there is a genuine Urdu translator out there, then I would be delighted to have them volunteer and translate material. I do not pay though. If you want to do it, then do it for your love of God, I am not paid nor do I recieve donations - I do it for God as a gift at my own time and expense. If however, you and others like you are just after a get rich scheme, pay careful thought to your ways - as you can fool some in the church, but you cannot fool God.

I came across your name on the website. I am being guided by the Holy Spirit his revelation in all things that are divine, intercession and attorn to his daily works.
Some 16 months the Holy Spirit fell in my bedroom, unexpected, with a supernatural presence. I had a vision of Jesus standing in front of me, with his heart, like a huge archway, I felt an energising feeling all around me..

He started to reveal to me ,the goodness and graciousness of his heart, supernatural revelation, that only the mercy and love of God could possibly reveal to me. Of myself I certainly did not have any any conditioning of his works or any ramification from the natural sense of my being.
Daily I was lead to be caressed lovingly into his presence as he massaged his optimum ear into my natural presence, to receive the accomplished message of the Holy Christ.
I started then to tract all the Throne room countenance of his messages, prophetically given, intune as a distinct mannerism of the Lord of Heaven.
I have written all his inked works of vision, the transparent words of the Fathers Heart, indicative to the incite or interpretation of all mankind.
The spirit of God started to teach me, his Kingdom realm of instructing, the self centered ideas of ourselves, to be obliverated and flushing out and to be receptive to receive the will of the Our Father. In his prophetic teaching, spiritual module of his ear, made veniale all the tangible mastership of his kingship love.
The love of Christ to handle ourselves before him and emulate, his love of his cost above all earthly ways of this world. I have recorded up untill now all the workings of his heart and would like to set aside all restraining thoughts of self.
With the Authority of our Lord our God as invested in me and all that resides in his will.
