Juanita Bynum’s two hundred thousand dollar threshing floor
Prophetess Juanita Bynum has had money difficulties of late, in addition to her much publicised marital difficulties. Coincedentally at the very same time she was finding it hard to scrape together the money to pay her property taxes on her lavish property, she decided to launch an emergency appeal on Christian television to raise US$200,000 dollars, which she claimed was needed for a dire emergency need in her ‘ministry’. She begged her fans to sow an ‘emergency seed’ for this vital thing – the thing so urgent she made an impassioned appeal on TV here. You can watch the clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1TajuqiBwQ
Now this US$200,000 ‘emergency’ was not for Christian literature or Bibles or even travel expenses. No, it was for a prayer room ‘threshing floor’ on Ms. Bynum-Weeks luxurious twelve acre lakefront property (which is not her first or her only property) - it needs to be this large, apparently, and by a lake so she can feel ’safe’. She does not have enough faith in God’s protection for a more modest home yet she is a word-faith preacher? Says it all really. Anyway, I am sure the single moms in the projects who literally rob the food from their children’s mouth in the name of ‘faith’ and of quasi Christianity, and who are sending her most of their welfare checks are truly delighted to hear their financial ’seeds’ are going to such a worthy cause.
Now this threshing floor prayer room, Juanita Bynum claims, is vital. She wants to build a place to come to on behalf of the world. It is all for you really, her devoted followers, (honest) - as this is where she can go to ‘touch God for you and the nations’. So if you want her prayer, folks, you need to buy her a special room to do it in. But it is hardly as if her luxurious sprawling property currently lacks either space or quiet places to pray in already! Many people would give their right arm (or more) to be able to go and sit by a lake in their own backyard and have time alone with God there! But no, this is not enough for the insatiable Ms. Bynum. And her special room cannot just be a normal extension on this already large and lavish property – no, it has to be ’special’ one, and cost more than the price of many single family homes to build!
This special sacred room aka ‘threshing floor’ will have a gold plated section, and is where Bynum will liberally scatter ‘anointed’ prayer shawls on the floor for her to ‘intercede on’, and it will be somewhere where she can put ‘the ark of the covenant’ in. Here, she claims, she will ’go to God’ and roll about in a strange fashion on these ‘anointed’ prayer shawls and intercede for you. If you give her enough funds now, she will even put your name on a gold plated wall in that ’sacred’ prayer room, and you will be thus before her always (and therefore by default, before God, to earn special favour with him or so she implies), and she can go and lay hands on this gold plated wall and call your name out to God when there for you!
Quite why you would want these sort of prayers from such a blatantly false servant, even if you believed her claim that she build such a room and would pray for you individually there, is another question as you can be certain that God closes his ears to such a hypocrit and con-artist. How divorced this all is from Jesus ministry – the polar opposite of it in fact!
If you want prayer from another person, go find a humble servant, one who loves and knows God, to pray for you for free. These are the prayers and people God that answers. Do not think you can buy favour from God via a so-called ’anointed’ ministry! Does not God’s own word says he resists the proud but that he exalts the humble? He will not and never will exalt the proud or superiour or high-minded as Bynum blatantly is. So why send her a financial ’seed’ when God sets his face against people such as she? Superstition – that is all it can be as it is not the true Word of God - and/or desparation which I understand – but you must know this: relying on her or her prayers does not please God and draws you away from him and not to him – financially supporting Juanita Bynum is thus SIN. It really is antichrist in the true sense of word. Don’t believe me? Read your Bible.
No Christian needs any room, least of all a two hundred thousand dollar threshing floor like this to pray in, and to ask Christians to give financially to it (even if we accept on face value that this is the true reason Juanita Bynum asks for this money), is EVIL and antichrist. And what good do these prayer shawls do she rolls about on, apart from promote spiritual elitism and idolatory and make her seem ’special’ and ’sacred’ and ‘anointed’ to her poor deluded superstitious followers who know no better? What next will it be from her – rosary type prayer beads? (Remember this is the same woman who merchandised an ‘emergency prayer kit’ for US$500 dollars so I would put nothing past her – nothing is sacred, oh apart from the over-priced ’sacred’ items she hawks on her website and on television!). And as for the claim that she has or will have the ‘ark of the covenant’ there in that room?! Does she even know what that really is and what she is really suggesting? I am flabbergasted that she could even dare to say such a thing! If people hear the same claims from Joseph Smith or other cult leaders they run away and call them for what they are – false prophets – but from Bynum, apparently, it is acceptable because – because what? Because she is a black icon? Because she is a good fundraiser and money spinner? Is this all Christian TV cares about these days? Does a little thing called truth not matter any more – to anyone? ‘Dear children, keep yourself from idols’ says the apostle John, to which Bynum and certain Christian TV stations raise a cocky eyebrow and ignores it completely all for the sake of the mighty dollar. My God! What have things come to?
Juanita Bynum frequently contradicts other parts of the Bible in both her teaching and behaviour, but notably in these circumstance she ignores the parts about not showing partiality to the rich, ignores the advice about giving in secret and about not boasting about gifts given, ignores about not coveting material things, as well as God forbidding ministers -anyone – selling prayers or prophecy or ministry or the Holy Spirit for money. Bynum is also confused about covenants – or more likely does not care. It all sounds ‘good’ and ‘holy’ to the Biblically ignorant so must be worth a few more bucks.
Be sure of this – God certainly will have no part of such a hypocritical and self righteous and elitist clown rolling around on idolotrous items for money, or putting on a noisy show for the cameras. God knows Bynum’s heart and her deeds. And he waits for her to repent of her foul teachings and her leading the many astray, for until then His ears are death to even her own prayers for herself.
Watch the video clip of her and tell me this is not ridiculous. The woman is not just an idolotrous, apostate, heretical, greedy, selfish, self centred liar, and a false teacher and prophet but she is also a clown! Yet a significant part of the church not only tolerate her but believe her and even idolise her. What has the church come to, where clowns like this parade themselves at the pulpit and rather than being booed off stage and rebuked are asked to come back to give even more – for a suitable ‘love offering’ of course. (Bynum has been known to lock the church doors where an offering is not enough for her ‘needs’.) The Lord rebuke this greedy selfish false gospel whore! And the Lord rebuke the churches and individuals that support her!
Ms Bynum gets worse and worse as each day passes. She seemingly has no shame as she herself admitted in another video clip, ‘In my heart, I do not have any shame’. Ms Bynum is deluded and those that follow her are deluded. The heart is decieitful above all things, but Juanitia Bynum you should be ashamed! Very ashamed.
Juanita Bynum, repent, what on earth are you doing? Is a lavish lifestyle really worth selling your soul for – and the souls of many you drag down with you? Can you really bear having all these people on your conscience? Are you that corrupted? I mean really? You should be ashamed and despise of yourself in dustcloth and ashes and repent! Please I beg you, repent and come to your senses and come back to your heavenly Father! He waits for you.

Sister Miriam,
not very long after i was filled with the Spirit i purchased a cd of junita bynum because her voice was so powerful and compelling and i thought and believed God had given her such an awesome gift, during one of her songs i “heard” laughter that definetely chaffed my spirit for it sounded to my ears as something unholy, like the laughter of demons, obviously i do not listen or have this cd anymore. The concern i have is last week at the church i attend [this is a very small nondenominational holy spirit filled place of worship} a visiting pastor brought his three young daughters {biological and spiritual} they mimed and danced to one of her songs, i didn’t stay to listen. i am one of the new “babies” there and i have been praying for boldness and discernment. when i do ask what these things mean often the reply is”eat the meat” and spit out the fat or learn to eat the fish but spit out the bones. Is this scriptural? Did Jesus teach us this? I have repented of listening to unsound teaching, God knows then i was so hungry that i was listening and eating anything and everything that was fed to me . since then i have grown up a little and have become more picky in what i am being fed and in what i feed myself. I love our pastor and brothers and sisters in this church, The Word of God became life for my flesh and food for my bones in this place and through these believers.
Scripture tells us do not let NO MAN deceive us so if there is deception even in a little thing does it not spoil the whole?
Am i being too critical? all i want to know is the Truth, Jesus and to walk in His Spirit and his Truth, everything else causes confusion. I know we are being prepared for the great deception that is to come, the man who will stand at the gates and proclaim he is god, where in truth he will be an abomination and in him all that is evil will pour forth, he will speak life but from the depths of his belly rivers of death will flow. The Holy Spirit has already shown some of the believers in our church that believed they could never be deceived by allowing a man to come there who knew how to pray like an angel and who knew many things and who used scriptures to manipulate people for his purpose. i was the “baby” no one would listen to when i told him and the pastor this man has no truth in him and he was of his father the devil, this man looked at me and his eyes which were grey became Black as the abyss, our pastor spoke of betrayal and said when this happens it is like being stabbed in the heart and he made stabbing motions toward his own heart, he didnot know that before this occured i “dreamt” of a strongman stabbing the heart of a tall well dressed man and throwing the women through a glass wall shattering everything, our pastors wife was shattered, he deceived even her and she is gifted in discernment. I warned my daughter before this man even was brought to this church of the same strongman who came out of nowhere and with much power would go after her heart and hurt her she chose not to heed the warning and we have all paid a price for her rebellion. This was a hard lesson, i pray that in all this and in all things His Glory and His Mighty Power will overcome the wickedness of those who abuse and for gain
defile what is Pure and Holy.
Shalom
may all be well with your soul.
Rebecca -
>Am i being too critical?
No. You are wise and you are obeying God’s command to continuosly test everything in word and the spirit behind it, and hold on to the good and boot the false out. If only the rest of the church likewise obeyed. Keep on doing it, for it sounds like God has given you a gift of spiritual discernment to encourage and bless and protect others with too. I encourage you also to continue to express your concerns to your church leadership re any ministries.
>Scripture tells us do not let NO MAN deceive us so if there is deception even in a little thing does it not spoil the whole?
Yes and no. A little leaven goes through the whole batch quickly and something seemingly ’small’ and ‘insignificant’ can ruin quickly many if not dealt with. All false teaching or any error, however small, should therefore be confronted and corrected asap in the right way. However, that said, nobody, and no church, is perfect in all their theology, and one should be careful therefore not to throw out the baby with the bathwater so to speak, otherwise the only teacher you could ever listen to was Jesus – there is NO perfect church and never has been! Being wrong on one point does not make a teacher wrong on many and they might have many valid correct things to say. Teaching should always be weighed and sifted. However if there are numerous errors, or one or two big ones, or other concerns such as lifestyle/sin/greed issues then the Bible teaches to avoid these false teachers like the plague. For instance, I would obviously have nothing to do people with Juanita Bynum or Crefflo Dollar as they are wrong on multiple counts, greedy and totally unrepentant – they are even brazen in their attitudes. It is my belief (as stated) that those who support them are sinning – whether in ignorance or otherwise.
Thankyou Sister,
Sometimes we need encouragement to fight the good fight that is before us.
In Christ,
Continue to Stand and be Strong and of Good Courage,
Shalom
I don’t know why, but this post reminds me of something I experienced last winter. It was early in the morning and as I was out walking my dog and I could feel the ground trembling beneath my feet. It literally scared me to tears. I asked the Lord what it was, and what kept coming to mind was, “the whole earth groans.”
The concept of the threshing floor is interesting, given the nature of it and what happens on it, namely severe beating and thrashing. I think what saddens me is that JB is projecting this image that she is worthy to take on a substitutionary role for another human being, all for a heavy price, not to her, but to the sheep.
Hi Miriam
You said something very interesting above, “and one should be careful therefore not to throw out the baby with the bathwater so to speak”. This struck me because every time I had a spiritual conversation with the pastor next door and told him I don’t agree with certain things “he was trying to force me to read Kenneth Hagin books” he would say those exact words to me, “be careful not to throw out the baby with the bathwater”. And every time he said this I didn’t have a response but deep down I know what God is telling me.
As you said, no church is perfect and will ever be but when the teachings are grossly erroneous and they refuse to even acknowledge they might be wrong and test it against the word of God is where I put my foot down. I was told I need to sift through the bad and take in the good. I’m sorry but if a book or church for instance is 10% in gross error then I consider that a huge problem. For in the past I have read some well known people’s books and landed up in so much bondage because of that 10%.
I am not well versed in the Word of God but I do believe I have the gift of discernment and even though I can’t sometimes back up my arguments with scripture I can easily discern through the Holy Spirit what is correct and what is not (90% of the time). However I need the backup of scripture desperately to help me convey what the Holy Spirit tells me. It’s not very convincing sometimes when you just say, ‘That’s not correct’ and can’t back it up properly.
Anyhow, my point is, this 10% gross error or whatever can be so detrimental to most Christians and I think this is why it’s so important to test everything. Even though a Godly person can get it wrong, it’s the weight of the error that makes the difference.
For example, I came across a site the other night where a pretty decent minister said the he believe that in order to be saved you have to be baptised. This in a sense is not a gross error I believe, but just an error – for it won’t destroy someone’s spiritual life. But if someone were to say that they believed that in order to be saved you have to speak in tongues – I would say this is far more erroneous because this kind of doctrine can destroy someone spiritually. And where there is one gross error there are many more. Also I think a lot of little errors add up to a gross one.
So there is error and then there is gross error, and where there is gross error I say, “throw that baby out with the bath water as fast as you can”.
Deborah: people use the excuse that no church or person is perfect in order for us to accept false teachers. That is why I tried to convey that we should not tolerate any error at all and rid it out vigorously when spotted and stay away from certain people entirely even if they do speak some truth along with their errors.
However that said, I have known some new Christians in particular become so judgmental and critical or set about MINOR issues or relatively ‘grey’ areas, they would have absolutely no church to go to if everyone had to think exactly as they did – so I wrote that nobody is perfect trying to address this balance and warning to be wise on this. There are some things (not all) we can agree to disagree on, and we can thus weigh and sift sermons for ourselves and judge what is right and hold fast to the good. One cannot necessarily say because a teacher is wrong on one point he is wrong on them all – that’s what I mean about the baby and the bathwater. No teacher is ever perfect.
In reality also, nobody will think the exact same as we do on all and every aspect of every part of our theology. Even we, as we grow older and hopefully wiser, will alter our thinking on certain issue and disagree with even our younger selves. If a church all think the same on every single point then they are brainwashed and they are in a cult!
So stand for truth, rebuke error but be wise and realise that nobody is 100% perfect and there will be points we will naturally disagree on.
Hi Miriam
Ah ok, I understand. The first line of your above post explains exactly what I was trying to say, “people use the excuse that no church or person is perfect in order for us to accept false teachers”.
My problem is this, I haven’t found a good church to go to as nearly every church I’ve been to falls into the above statement. I sometimes feel like I am in the wrong for not attending church because I am too critical. But my criticism is not based on petty issues. It’s based on the fact that the churches are false and move in the spirit of money and word of faith etc. Nothing else seems to matter at these churches unless you pay tithes, give offerings and then some more. Every sermon seems to have a money undertone and it drives me nuts. One evening at one of the biggest churches here a well known minister compared the congregation who don’t pay tithes “to demons that cower away in caves from God….”. I stood up and walked out and never went back.
Also it’s rare that I find a church where they preach a good sermon and I come home feeling empty. On many occasions when I attended church, the Holy Spirit would come over me and I would start to weep even before I sat down. And low and behold someone would approach me and ask me if I was “ok, do I want to talk about my problems”. When I told them I was fine, it’s the Holy Spirit they would look at me like I was nuts.
I just feel that most churches are luke warm and only preach want the congregation wants to hear.
2 weeks ago I went to a church (and it was small, 10 people or so) and the pastor kept shouting out that we should pray louder – he wants to hear our sincerity. All of a sudden I could not pray, it was like I had a mental block, and nothing came to mind except “what is this guy doing?”.
I don’t know, sometimes it feels like my spirit is torn in two over this issue. If I prefer to not go to church and just stay at home, is that so wrong?
Dear Deborah,
Scripture says a lot about how to pray Mt.6, 5-13
how to worship John, 4,23
and gives significant hints about assemblies 1 cor 14,26
Col 3,16 Eph 5,19
As we are children of God and brothers to oneanother we ought to behave like brothers.Do you know, how families behave, when they come together ? Certainly not like pastors, ushers and shomasters etc.
What is the issue to be taught ? Mt. 28,20 …”and teach them to obey EVERYTHING I have commanded you ”
Test the churches , test their leaders , do they fit to the
benchmark Jesus has given ?.
Churches are saecular institutions . Their structures are
well organized, legal corporations …
This wants to be the “Body of Christ” ?
Are churches wordly, is their financial situation wordly ?
What says James 4,4 , Mt.6, 22,23 ?
Who promised to supply all your needs ? What is the minimum number of persons to have the Lord amongst ? Two or three.
Do you know one or two brothers who the Lord has given to you?
The Lord is my shepherd. I have no rentling. The spirit is leading me. I am very fine without any christian clubbing.
Since I am the temple of the Holy Spirit, I dont go to any temple or House of God. Jesus is in me and I am in Him. His presence is inward and independent from fellowship.
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers. 3 But the Egyptians are mortals and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out his hand, those who help will stumble, those who are helped will fall; all will perish together.
Be blessed, yours
Deborah
Yes and no.
If there is genuinely no non apostate place around you and you cannot in all conscience go (without being overly niggly and picky about minor doctrine as we talked about) then you do not sin by staying away – you in fact honour the Lord by staying away from evil men/apostates. I always advise giving your full reasons before going and try and correct them first, as you never know some may repent.
However scripture instructs us to NOT give up fellowshiping together. The church recognised that when they defellowshipped unrepentant sinful people to teach them a leasson, it was ‘handing them over to Satan for a season’ as fellowship were so important for Christian growth, health and protection etc. No man is an island and the apostles say the reason many were sick among them was because they did not recognise their need and interdependance within the body and were a law unto themselves etc. We are all dependant on the body and we do need each other to function properly and move in the giftings etc properly. I have heard proud Christians say they do not need to be part of the church – they consider themselves independent or superior – but they are really wrong and unscriptural.
However, when genuinely forced out of fellowship for whatever reason, persecution, sickness or others apostasy, God will uphold us and bless us if we genuinely cannot continue to fellowship. If we stay out of fellowship for non genuine reasons we will suffer as we sin. There are more and more people through no fault of their own who want fellowship but just cannot go to the places around them in all good conscience. I wrote an article on this, ‘the new out of churchers’…
I advise praying and asking the Lord specifically what you ought to do, as it may be there is a place you have overlooked or do not know about yet. Ask Him to send people to you, or send you to them, so you can have fellowship of some sort, as even if it is just one or two this will help you strengthen each other. Remember WE are the church – buildings are not – and I am sure there are a remnant around you who feel as if you do. Rather than isolate yourself, it may be that you need to have a little unofficial church that starts to meet in your home. If you ask around and talk to people you may well be surprised about the number who have just not felt able to go against the flow but feel exactly as you do.
You do not need to ‘go to church’ but you do need fellowship.
Yes you are absolutely right, we do need to fellowship. I need fellowship and isolating myself is not the way to go – all be it the ‘easy’ way out.
As you said, it has to be for the right reason…and I feel God telling me my reasons are not good enough, i.e, not finding the right church to go to is no excuse because there are people out there who I can still fellowship with – people who feel the way I do. I just need to continue my search but let God point out the way to me.
In fact I think I know of someone who I believe feels the same way I do although I’ve only met her once (briefly). I heard her speaking to some people at church the other day and thought to myself, ‘gosh, this lady really has Jesus in her life”. I even told my husband that this lady thinks like me. I could sense she was ‘looking’ for a decent place to fellowship but had not found it yet.
I am going to try get her contact details and phone her.
Thanks Miriam!
Hi Arabella
I agree with you, going to church is not a pre-requisite but fellowship with the right people a very good thing – as it will help us grow and strengthen each other etc.
I was under the impression (only because this is what every ‘Christian’ out there has drummed through my head) that we have to go to a church. But the verse kept coming to mind, Matthew 18:20 ‘…For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them”. It doesn’t say, ‘where more than say 20 gather in a designated building there I will be”.
I think in this day and age finding a good place to fellowship can be a challenging task, but nothing should stop us from fellowship in general.
We also have to be careful that satan does not use this to his advantage; try to keep us from like minded God filled Christians. I think this might also be my problem, he has brought a fear into my Christian life; there is no good Christian church out there so just stay away for all of them including Christians.
Unfortunately I don’t know of anyone at the moment who I/we can fellowship with. I just have my husband
He is my only friend and confidant and we pray together and fellowship together.
Hi Deborah-”There will come a time when no man will teach you.” The Holy Spirit of Truth is most able and willing to guide us into all truth, or the truth of the Father. The 2 or 3 who I fellowship with is my husband mostly, and a friend or two from time to time. He is, however, reducing those people in my life as time goes on, strengthening the bond alone with Him. In that process, He is doing something in me that only He can do, and that was stagnant whenever I was attending a man-made institution. Be encouraged at the place the Lord is taking you.
You Know I think it is so funny to see how people these days are talking about and putting down Juanita Bynum. To go back to Rebecca on the first comment. Yes I do have tapes where see is laughing while preaching and singing, and it is not from demons or any of that. When she is laughing it is the HOLY SPIRIT coming over her body and giving her joy that all she can do is laugh. I have experienced the same thing. God using me while I sing I get “happy so to speak” and I just laugh. You are not testing the spirit but going by what other people may think and say. WHICH IS NOT RIGHT!!!
Have you tested the spirit Marrissa? If not you are going by what other people think and say. Which is not right!!
I want study about endtimes and know more about it and to up date myself as christian of end times. My caall is to be a pastor and need to be training very well so that i can an impack in generation to the glory of God almighty. I will very – very glad if this can be sent to e-mail box. I am glad to find these this from you. Thanks

The times the Lord has called me to prophesy over the Body of Christ it is always for correction, direction, edification, exhortation and comfort and it is NEVER selfish, self-centered or directed at me.
I make myself available to the Lord to be a blessing to others, just cuz he asked it of me.
I could never think to ask anyone for money for ministry is not a profit making business, or should NOT BE!
I feel these poor souls have been seduced. I remember a time where Juanita was right on with the Lord, in step with the Holy Spirit and lined her life up with the Word. That was quite a while ago.
Like those who find fame along with ministry these poor souls have become so vainglorious that they have been deceived through these false doctrines.
I don’t see them taking their own advice and sowing millions of dollars into others that could never promote them or pay them back.
It is a sad, shallow life and if she doesn’t repent and turn back to the true Word of God then we should make sure she doesn’t deceive other poor young believers into buying the junk that is not Biblical.
Also, they have forgotten that the SPIRIT OF THE PROPHETS ARE SUBJECT TO THE PROPHETS. Which means, they are not lone rangers in the prophetic either. Other prophets who see the false need to stand up and proclaim it just like Jeremiah and Elijah did.
BLESSINGS!
Hi:
My name is Lanette. I’m new to commenting on the blogs which I often read. I hope my testimony can help and be read by Deborah at this point if she is still searching for fellowship.
Recently, I have been praying about some of the same issues that have been vexing me concerning the lukewarmness in our churches in America. I have also been very concerned about certain celebrity brothers and sisters in the LORD who have lost their fire due to their indulgence in the vain cares of this world. (My heart goes out and I have to keep praying for them. As the LORD mentions giving Jezebel space to repent in Revelation, He gives us all space of time to repent – though we don’t know how much time for each of us. So, we pray that our fallen brethren’s eyes be open. We might have to cry and get on our faces for some of them.)
I had been seeking the LORD for a Holy Spirit-filled and Holy Spirit – LED church home (having a husband and three young very impressionable children). I strongly felt in my spirit the LORD pointing a church to me a few months ago. My family and I attend Sunday School there and some Sunday evening services (my children and myself). After Sunday School, my husband and I take our family almost 35 miles away to attend church where my brother-in-law pastors. I finally have a peace being there after seeking the LORD and discussing constantly with my husband. We help my brother-in-law (who is the husband of my husband’s sister) in outreach. This church, which is very small, is not only a place of fellowship in the WORD of God, repenting at the alter, seeking the LORD’s face for guidance/deliverance/healing/closer holy walk, it is also a place of very sincere benevolence to members and people in the community. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have a compassion for the rough, gang-infested community that surrounds their church and they have outreaches – very giving in many ways, including financially for members.
Having said that, I really believe that these two churches, both having beautiful outreach ministries, are where the LORD has us – one being a place under which we have a leader and the other for watch-care/additional times to be taught the Word with the church being closer to our home/additional outreach/additional fellowship. I believe the LORD has taken what He has placed in my husband’s and my heart to do – street evangelism, effective giving and teaching – and He placed us where, in addition to feed us His Word, He can also use us where He chose us to be used.
What is your calling? If it is the streets, go forward into the streets, being led by the HOLY SPIRIT, and spread the gospel. If it is prisons, do the same. If it is elderly, be led by the Holy Spirit, and go to nursing homes and spread the gospel. (Activity directors at several of them will welcome you.) But wherever you feel the LORD moving you to go be used by Him, pray about letting Him lead you to a place of worship and fellowship with the other saints – while you are in the path of your calling – whether on the streets, in prison ministry with other saints, in nursing homes with other saints, at youth centers, or wherever He’ll have you.
If you are hungry for God’s Word and edifying fellowship, you very well may find yourself unfulfilled and discouraged at the end of the day if you’ve only been to a lukewarm church. But I agree with Miriam about teachers being 100% correct all the time. Sometimes, human error can manifest itself even in leadership. Have you read in St. Luke where John the Baptist sent someone to Jesus questioning whether He really was the Messiah? And Jesus responded saying that people where being healed and “blessed are those who are not offended in Me”. Then, He addressed some people with a message explaining that there had been no greater prophet than John the Baptist – inspite of John’s error of questioning Him.
Read in Acts of the Apostles where Paul and Barnabas did not see eye to eye concerning their brother Mark going to a place of ministry with them. They had a dispute about the situation so serious that they had to depart from each other as partners in ministry. Each man had his own point to make. So, which one was rightfully scriptural?
Each of us will stand alone before the LORD to give account of our own deeds. Each of us will stand individually to trust Jesus to represent us as Savior before our Perfect Father in Heaven. So, let the Word of God be your guide when examining a fellowship as well as those around you. While the Word teaches, corrects, warns, encourages, and foretells the last days (that we’re in) to us, it also gives an example, which is what we need sometimes to perceive clearly.
Be Encouraged
Hello how ru doin,i know it is very rare for anybody message to be answered but im trusting and believeing that mine will be one of the very few that you read.my name is lakeisha i am a 20year old female who has been hand pick by jesus but i just need a little push by someone one of your great anointing.i would love for you to come to Ga,and run a revival for the youth of my church.mrs Bynums im trying my best to keep them encourage because i know in being a youth leader that is my job.please don’t ignore my request if it is gods will could you and would you get back in touch with me with a price for your service.Thank you and god bless you
Lakeisha Warren:
Seek God and not someone with a supposedly ‘great’ anointing. Why not ask Him for all you need.
And to offer to PAY somebody shows what kind of false Christians you’ve been around.
I’ll tell you what the PRICE IS for a true move of God. Time and prayer. Obedience and forsaking of self. But dollars are a bit easier to give than this, right, especially if Bynum et al proclaim your financial seed will grow? What is the church coming to?
I came across this article about Juanita Bynum from a forward email about how she was selling emergency prayer kits on HSN for $500. I don’t know if anyone else has heard about this. However I have the article and would like to share it with everyone. I’m unsure if this incident has been mentioned on this website.
The Story:
Prophetess Juanita Bynum, a popular TBN regular, was a featured
seller on the Home Shopping Network Saturday. Dressed in a
stunning long
white gown, Ms. Bynum was captivating to watch as she peddled
her $500
emergency prayer kit, complete with a Hebrew prayer shawl, a
small vial
of anointing oil, and gospel teaching tapes. Amazingly, in the
first
hour the profiteer sold more than 3,500 kits, with the charmed
ease of a
seasoned and shrewd used car saleswoman.
But as she began the second hour, repeatedly using the spiel
“This powerful intercessory package has become mandated by God
to become
a primary weapon in your personal prayer arsenal! Your emergency
kit
contains everything you need to discover true power in prayer!
‘Buy one,
or even two, now today!’ thus saith the Lord,” suddenly a stack
of
nearby prayer kits caught fire. Within seconds, the entire set
was
! consume d by flames. Luckily, everyone survived the accident,
although
the prayer kits were all destroyed.
The cause of the fire is still unknown; fire chief Sam Storner
had this to say just yesterday: “We’ve ruled out arson, faulty
wiring,
cigarettes, spontaneous combustion, gas, grease, etc. as
triggers of
this blaze, and right now we’re stumped.”
Marcus Jillian, a private investigator for Allexium Insurance,
which handles HSN, thinks he has the answer: “The oil in the
prayer kits
fueled the strange fire, but I’m still searching for the cause
of the
spark.”
Renowned charismatic prophet Clem Kiment thinks God’s anger was
the spark: “Our Lord has had enough of today’s superapostles
merchandising the Holy Spirit. The only emergency prayer kit a
believer
actually needs is the Holy Ghost Himself, and He’s simply not
for sale!”
he wrote today on his website “The Sound of Free Freedom.” &nbs p;
The prophetess, however, remained undeterred by the accident.
“I’m coming back next week with 10,000 more prayer kits, plus my
new
$5,000 Juanita Bynum fountain pens. All truly prosperous King’s
kids
should own and be using one or more these classy pens to write
with;
Bics are for those ignorants still living under the curse of
poverty.”
HSN had no comment about the blaze other than “The strange fire
has brought Ms. Bynum so much extra publicity that next week
she’ll
surely become our most profitic vendor.”

I wanted to share, How did the church get so far? Why did we allow this to happen? I’ve read on another website http://www.exministries.com . ( theres a web blog) and juanita bynum has also been exposed on there as well for the lies and etc.I’ve been cautious every since then and have been trying to keep up with what’s happening in the church today. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that the fire was had begun because of God’s wrath. No one has any right to sell the holy spirit or God for money.I also just imagine the deception. Bynum has also decieved herself as well. I pray that our Hevenly Father will deliever her and those lost in the false teaching. May God’s truth be revealed and all glory given unto him.
Hi Brittney
That is a wind up email.
What is a wind up email?
the comments on Juanita saddens me if it is true. Even if it is not it still saddens me that such gimmic can be associated with a gifted child of God. One also have to becareful. touch not my prophet and do them no harm comes to my spirit. If ever she is guilty of false doctrine or self-replacement theology so to speak, it is only God that will give her a perfect reward. Be wise in the Lord an appeal is not a compulsory and demanding. Continue to pray for Juanita that God will change her for the edification of the world.
I personally know someone that sent Juanita Bynum $1,000 for a blessing & a small piece of blessed prayer shawl which she has worn on a certain Christian program that was fund raising. I nearly shouted at this person (already struggling financially), for being so gullible. This acquaintance thought I was crazy for not idolizing this great Prophetess of the Lord. For the sake of keeping the peace I decided to just keep my mouth shut and pray that God would revealed to people that follow this woman that they do not need to send her money for Him to bless them. Later when I ran into this TBN junkie and fan of Bynum who had nothing but problems, & freek misfortunes for days. I was so tempted to ask what about the $1,000 blessing that was supposed to come in 20 days? This person got a curse instead of a blessing!
