Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

All for God, All through God

“He (Jesus) was not ashamed continually to say that He could do nothing of Himself, and that only as the Father showed Him or spake to Him, could He work and speak. He counted this His blessedness and His strength not to be able to do anything of Himself, but in continual dependence to wait on God and His working in Him. He knew and taught us that the man who has said in whole-hearted devotion to God, “All things for God,” may confidently say too, “All things through God.”

All for God,” “All through God.”   Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to make these our watchwords. In all aspirations after a closer walk with God, in all efforts after a purer, truer, higher life, they are the two poles between which the soul ought to move. They are the sure marks of that true scriptural mysticism, which has such attractions for all hungry souls, who long to know and please God perfectly.

All for God!  absolutely, without a moment, a thought, a word, a person, a possession, excepted; wholly for God, this becomes the soul’s one desire. It has seen that God is worthy of this, that He claims it, and that in the very nature of things, nothing less can satisfy the heart God made to be filled with Himself.

All through God:  The clearer the aim becomes to be all for God, and the deeper the soul sinks into its own emptiness and impotence, under the conviction that with man it is impossible, the sooner does faith rise to see that we can not only say, but that we do dare to say, All for God!  because we may also say,  All through God!   God Himself will work it in us.

This is the God who has revealed Himself to us in His Son. It became Him, for whom all things and through whom are all things, to make the Leader of our salvation perfect through sufferings. Let us worship Him! Let us adore Him! Let us offer Him the sacrifice of full allegiance and child-like dependence, as the words ring through heart and life ALL FOR GOD! ALL THROUGH GOD! GOD is ALL.”

  1. These words, I just love. Thank you for bringing it to us. The clearest revelation to me one day just reading Scripture was: we are God’s workmanship, recreated in the image of Jesus, pre-ordained to do good works, that we might walk in them, Ephesians 2:10. What a load that took off my mind. This is God’s work, His endeavour, His plan, His creation. Mine/ours is to BELIEVE and to SURRENDER to the work of God in our life. What’s more, our amazing God is re-creating us to be EXACTLY LIKE JESUS. Doesn’t that boggle your brain. Colossians Chp 2 is wonderful Scripture but to continue specifically in what is our inheritance, verses 9 and 10 are absolutely wondrous. For in Him (Jesus)dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead, and verse 9 says that we are in Him and He is in us and the Godhead dwells fully in us. It really is an extraordinary phenomena that the All Mighty God, Creator of the Universe wants to dwell in us in ALL His Fullness. It comes at a hefty price, I kid you not. Firstly Jesus emptied Himself completely of Himself (which we MUST do with ourselves)and then He died (IF, we follow in His footsteps then we are crucified with Him-Galations 2:20)and just as He rose from the dead, even so shall we live with Him in NEWNESS of life. All of this is God’s marvellous work in us and our part is to surrender, Turn from our sinful ways and ATTITUDE(repent), chase after Him, let Him do His marvellous work in us. Truly, – “let us offer Him the sacrifice of full allegiance and child-like dependence, as the words ring through heart and life, ALL FOR GOD! ALL THROUGH GOD! GOD is ALL!!”

  3. Hello Miriam,
I really like your website, it’s very touching and shows me there are still people performing God’s will. I wanted to ask, i’m quite young (16 years old) and i was wondering what i can do for God. I only recently became stronger in faith, but at my age, it seems as if its not my place to go out and do many things for God – even though i desperately want to. I feel like I just have faith, yet do not act – which defeats the whole purpose of faith (as written in the bible).

  4. Robert – in addition to ‘ministry’ or ‘mission’ there is also everyday life that is 24/7. Let every conversation, every day you have be sprinkled with salt. Shine light wherever you go. Love and serve and respect and you will be doing the will of God. That’s for now, God will show you and lead you to anything else.

  6. Bless you Robert. Engross yourself in the word of God (note NOT what Christian authors say), while asking for wisdom and discernment, because I cannot emphasise how much right thinking is needed in these days of deception.

  8. Gideon was only young and God through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit enabled him to bring down the prophets of Baal. Do not let anybody despise you because of your youth (pp Timothy)

  9. You make a very good point. But in my case, its not so much a matter of people despising me because of my youth; rather, not taking me serious and what i say serious because of my youth. It is quite saddening. But i hold faith!
