A black president unscriptural?
As part of the perks of being the moderator on this blog, I see some of the keywords and searches that people use to find this site. Several times of late I have come across something like this that has been entered into the search engine: ‘A black president unscriptural?’ - or words to that effect. One wonders, what kind of world, and what kind of church, do these people belong to that they would even think along these sort of lines? To still judge a man or woman to such a degree based on the color of his skin alone, that they think the Bible prophesies and warns against such a thing.
If Barack Obama is ‘unscriptural’ - by meaning that, one assumes the searcher meant a bad candidate for president or even a potential candidate for antichrist, - it would be because of his character and/or his politics, and not because of the color of his skin.
It does say, prophecy watchers, that the Antichrist will be a man of ‘dark sentences’, but that’s another kind of darkness entirely than skin color….. but all too common in politics sadly.

Yes, I agree, it is a worry that so many choose to vote for Hillary because she is a woman, or Barack because he is black.
Well… it does say in the Bible that black people are supposed to be enslaved…according to the curse of Ham.
I’m totally kidding and pointing out the mentality of these people Googling that phrase.
Who is really trying to PROVE using the Holy Bible that a black person shouldn’t be president? The minute that jumps in your head, you should repent, and ask to be changed already.

Well I am glad we got on this topic. Well I am an African American born after the civil rights movement etc. Well, I am happy that our country USA has made some important strides when it comes to race. However, I will not vote for Barack, Hillary, or whoever. I have a problem with Barack’s no stance on abortion and gay rights (he believes in both) and his childlike demeanor. Now my Christian brothers and sisters tell me that this is ORDAINED BY GOD. Is voting something I should consider?…I just can not vote for people who disobey the WORD. I voted for Bush because of the “church” but he became a great disappointment!
I cannot imagine that people who call themselves christians i.e. the body of the Lord Jesus Christ who shed his blood on calvary’s cross can still be speaking in terms of God placing a curse on Ham, and as such black people should be enslaved. No where in the Bible can they find such a thing. Give me scripture and verse. “The devil is the accuser of the brethren…” read it in Revelations, Paula. You are making an accusation against God and you should be careful. My second question, why did Jesus Christ die on the cross for you and me? He died to redeem us from all cruses. You too Paula, in case you did not know, have been born under a curse. Noone could keep the Law so God himself had to come down to earth as man and allowed man to crucify him and hung on cross made from a tree he himself made. If you are a born again christian, and it sounds to me like you need to know the saving knowledge and grace of God, then you would seek the truth and the light of God. I am a black person, and I know that I have been redeemed by the Blood of Lamb, and because of that I am no longer under any curse. Read your Bible. You seem to be in covenant with the father of lies i.e. the devil. Seek the truth my love, and try to influence others for good and not for evil. I love you with the love of the Lord. Why don’t you all pray for all presidential candidates including Barack Obama and move yourselves away from darkness. Ask God to put love in your hearts. I tell you none of us will see the face of God without love. Remember, God is LOVE. Again, I say seek Him in Spirit and Truth. These are truly some sad days. I cannot believe I have been going to church with people who think that Blacks are inferior. I guess your heaven is different from my heaven, and your God certainly seems to be different from the God I serve, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. the Lord of Hosts, the King of Kings.
IF the world didn’t end with evilness of Mr. Bush then I think we can survive a man that represents hope.
Ham was not Cursed,it was Canaan his son who was cursed. Genesis says “Cursed be Canaan”. Ham had a number of sons. I think that is forgotten.
To be fair, I see that Lavaria was only making the statement to highlight the ignorance of some people.
