Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Prophet Bob Jones role in Toronto Blessing, Brownsville, Lakeland & what comes next: Civil War in the Church

… Or what comes for the Kansas City prophets if  they get their way after their third wave ‘revival’ promoted by Todd Bentley and others?

Bob Jones of the Kansas City Prophets (more on him here: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/category/bob-jones-kansas-city-prophets/) gave some key prophecies in 1984: in the Butler-Baker vision and the Civil War in the Church prophecy.

Bob Jones’ ‘Butler-Baker’   prophecy was based on Genesis 40, where Joseph stuck in Pharoah’s prison had the pharoah’s butler and baker suddenly thrown into jail with him.  The pharoah’s servants then both had a prophetic dream each, and Joseph’s interpretation of these dreams turned out to be 100% accurate. The butler, as Joseph prophesied, was restored to his job, while the baker was executed. Joseph’s dream interpretation was eventually remembered by the butler, and earned Joseph Pharoah’s attention and then Pharoah’s favour, when he was able to discern the meaning of Pharoah’s famine dreams.

‘Prophet’ Bob Jones in prophetically interpreting Genesis 40, declared there would be a ten year spiritual drought in the church from 1984 to 1994. Then the new wine (served through the ‘butler’ ministry) would begin to be poured out upon the church in 1994. In the meantime, the Church was going to go into humiliation, despair and deprivation, Bob Jones prophesied. (This never happened unless he was prophesying his and his fellow prophet’s own  fall).  As the baker lost his head, so the church was going to be dragged down, he said.  As Joseph experienced deprivation while in jail and hungererd and thirsted, so the church would go through a ten year period of spiritual dryness. But after this time of deadness and discouragement, Bob Jones claimed that God was going to throw a massive party for the church.  Bob Jones said he saw a large mansion from the Civil War era. Inside this manion was a large glittering ballroom filled with Christians dressed in very bright and colourful clothing, laughing and dancing, and having great fun. (This reminds me of how God showed me in a prophetic dream in 1993, of the Toronto Blessing marching into the church as a great show parade - the people wore bright clothes and danced and made a lot of noise but it was a strange religion that was ‘off’ and somehow strange and foreign and not of God. I did not understand the dream at the time but it was fulfilled. The night the Toronto Blessing first broke out in my church in  the summer of 1994, I was seated in the exact same place as I had in my dream - somewhere I NEVER sat but for some reason had that night).

On January 20th 1994, ten years after Jones’ prediction, right on cue, the Toronto Blessing broke out at John Arnott’s the Toronto Airport Vineyard Church, with key people from the Kansas City Prophets influencing and orchestrating ‘the blessing’ and the church from behind the scenes. The church laughed and danced and had great fun, while strange spirits and strange fire, and strange prophets and teachers took centre stage. The Toronto Blessing spread like strange fire wild fire, thanks in large part to the Vineyard Movement under John Wimber.

John Wimber, the ‘father’ of the Vineyard, had taken the wayward and elitist and sexually immoral Kansas City Prophets prophets under his wing some years earlier, and by this single action caused more harm in the body of Christ than any good he’d ever achieved. It was through the Vineyard Movement that this ‘blessing’ broke out,  was promoted and accepted, and the new breed of elitist prophets and apostles elevated. Poison literally seeped into the church that day. The K C prophets had said repeatedly that John Wimber was the end-time Apostle who would lead the church into its glorious future. While some say this a proven false prophecy as John  Wimber died in the 1990s, I disagree. From their perspective, John Wimber did  do exactly as they said - he led the church into the beginning of the counterfeit revival which was Toronto - into their   ‘glorious’ but spiritually rotten future - into Latter Rain heresies under these false prophets and apostles. John Wimber later repented of his involvement but it was then too little, too late. The fruit that has come from Toronto into the worldwide church has been bad and rotten indeed. How the worldwide church could change so rapidly in less than fourteen years is incredible to me.

Somebody was ‘in’ at the Kansas City fellowship in the 1980s writes:

“From my perspective, the combination of the incredibly flakey nature of the phenomenon manifested (at Toronto) coupled with people’s knowledge in these circles of Jones’ 1984 prophecy, coupled with people’s desire for “revival,” added up to one of three possible meanings.

One, God initiated this, knowing it would introduce great confusion and strife into the Body of Christ at a time in history when He told us to beware of exactly these kinds of speculative things.  Two, it was a demonically contrived and manipulated phenomenon.  Or three, it was basically and mostly a humanly-contrived, engineered event.

With any of these explanations, I do not see anything of a winner at work.  And if I am wrong, then I’m glad to err on the side of prudence……. Many people wanted this “Butler/Baker” prophecy by Jones to happen and were willing to do all they could to see to it that it did.”  (Don Clasen)

Far from being a sovereign move of God, the ‘Toronto Blessing’ was an antichrist move, manufactured and orchestrated by men with an antichrist agenda, aided by demonic forces. [Note I am not saying everybody  who was involved in Toronto was evil - they weren't, many were very sincere. I am also not saying that every manifestation there was antichrist or demonic - there was often a mix of good and bad. I am talking about the true powers that be behind the scenes orchestrating the thing and thrust as a whole - human and spiritual.]   Just as Todd Bentley’s ‘Lakeland Outpouring’ has been manufactured and orchestrated by the same people and spirits with the same evil plans and purposes, fourteen years later. Both these ‘revivals’ although allegedly done in Christ’s name lead astray and bring much rotten fruit. Listen to Todd Bentley, and there is no doubt he is Latter Rain influenced through and through. He apparently speaks to Bob Jones, his mentor, on the phone regularly, and even repeats Bob Jones’ false prophecies and bad teaching! And much of the bad fruit from this is yet to manifest. Far worse is yet to come.

Other places around the world purportedly ‘caught the fire’ from Toronto in the mid 1990s, but they were always linked back to the same people and the same ministries eg; The Sunderland Revival under Ken Goss, Holy Trinity Brompton, London (linked with the ecumenical Alpha course which loves all things Catholic and has boomed during this time of apostasy - Alpha promotes the bizarre manifestations and ecumencisim) and also, notably, Brownsville.

Steve Hill brought ‘it’, the Toronto Blessing, back to Brownsville and so began the linked so-called Pensacola Revival (which was no ‘revival’, despite the claims that came out during it of crime being reduced etc). Documented lies out of Brownsville include: ‘We’ve had major, major testimonies of tumors shrinking and disappearing, with documented evidence from the doctors’   when there was NO documented evidence, least of all from doctors, the claim that it was a revival when there was no positive impact on the surrounding community, the claim that crime reduced significantly when it actually rose,  and that 1,000 people responding to Steve Hill’s altar call when only 8 did. (Source: Al Dager)

Now we have Todd Bentley’s Florida revival, which purportedly fulfils not just Bob Jones’ latest batch of visions for the third wave, (coveniently released after the fact) see here: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/todd-bentley-bob-jones-proclaim-the-third-wave-is-here/ and here: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/05/02/todd-bentley-bob-jones-self-serving-and-self-fulfilling-prophecies/  but the visions from Latter Rain prophet Paul Cain. http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/05/11/why-did-todd-bentley-let-paul-cain-lie-to-millions/

Many of us can see the hype at Lakeland, not to mention the deceit, and there is no question this is a man-made and much hyped revival, to elevate the new prophets and apostles still further. Last night I heard the healing revival worship leader, Roy Fields, declare: ‘(this revival is all about) taking dominion - this is what it is all about!’    Elsewhere, Bob Jones has prophesied that the third wave is about setting the dominionist false apostles and prophets more firmly in place, with far greater apostolic authority. So even they  admit what I am saying, albeit in their own twisted way.

It is easy to see the stage setting for self-fulfilment of their revival prophesies, when Bob Jones and Todd Bentley prophesy revival next coming to Albany (where his friends and sympathisers Denny Cline and Steve Schulz of the Elijah List are), to Kansas City (say no more), to Redding, California where Bethel Church, more sympathisers and tolerators of quacks and charlatans are (they still let Lucy Rael minister there for instance), and to Washington (where Todd Bentley’s wife Shonnah Bentley, Jerame Nelson, Kira Mitchell, Stacey Campbell (wife of Wes Campbell), Kim Walker from Bethel Church, CA,  Kristin Olynick, Patricia King of Extreme Prophetic, and Heather Clarke from Revivaltown in Kamloops, BC., all just so happen to be ministering at an Awake Deborah Conference).

Reagrdless, it can be seen that Bob Jones’ prophecies are not just widely known, and widely tolerated, but for some fathomless reason are greatly revered by the new voices and powers that be in the new charismatic church.

“Bob Jones is …. the most accurate prophet in our generation…I love sitting at his feet.”    (Patricia King aka Pat Coking of Extreme Prophetic Ministries)

and ‘My friend….Bob Jones (is) a gifted, mature seer-prophet..’  (Todd Bentley)

and ‘Intercessors are the stewards of the prophetic promises of the church, and we made a commitment as a ministry to pray through Bob Jones’ visions and dreams’.  (Lou Engle - The Call)*

* According to Lou Engle, the initial vision for The Call was based on a prophetic message delivered by Bob Jones who prophesied in 1993 that 100,000 people—mostly youth—would meet in Nashville to pray and usher in a new movement of the Holy Spirit. Of couse his own movement rushed to fulfil Bob Jones prophecy.

It is not at all far-fetched, given their history and proven lack of integrity, to self-fulfil their own visions - doing whatever is needed, lying where necessary. The amount of lies and intentional duplicitous double speak that have come out from Mike Bickle, IHOP’s and the Kansas City Prophet’s leader is incredible. The amount of lies, charlatanism and fakery evident through Todd Bentley’s ministry, even recently, speaks volumes. Why would these men not   fake a revival to suit their own agendas, fulfilling Bob Jones prophecies and setting the stage for the Latter Rain takeover of the world? Why would they not, given all their other efforts over many years?

All this would be bad enough, but that’s not the worst of it.  Because Bob Jones’ civil war era prophecy continued beyond the church dancing and having fun in their colourful clothes in the glittering ballroom to outright bloody war.

Suddenly, things in the ballroom began to change as the Christians who were dancing and laughing began to take sides. As they took sides, their colourful clothing was transformed to either blue or grey uniforms, just like in the American civil war, and the atmosphere changed. This was because Jones said a great Civil War was coming to the Body of Christ. The blues symbolised those who were fighting for unity in the Body of Christ (the good guys according to the new apostles and prophets who declare ecumenicism is good) and the greys (the bad guys according to the new apostles and prophets) who wanted to keep the people of God enslaved by doctrine, who would not unite at the expense of truth, who resisted the new apostles and prophets as they were dominated by their “grey matter”, (their own minds/reason/logic/dogma), and would not go with the flow of the experiental new revelation.  Wes Campbell depicts the Grey Coats from the South as motivated by greed and the Blue Coats from the North as being motivated by God (which is a bit rich given where this comes from! pp The Elijah List). Others have said the blues are the new gnostics inspired by new extra biblical revelation, and third heaven experiences, and the greys being who those who ‘dogmatically’ stick with the old wineskin, the Bible. James Ryle says blue is the colour of the sky and symbolizes revelation and grey symbolizes the grey matter of the brain and man’s reason.

So in a nutshell, blues are all who side with C Peter Wagner and his camp of heretical ecumenical prophets and apostles, against all reason, not to mention scripture - and greys are those who won’t side with the new prophets and apostles for scriptural reasons - who will be persecuted for it. See here for more: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/lou-engle-of-the-call-calls-for-war/

Similar visions of literal civil war have been allegedly given to many of the other new prophets and apostless including James Ryle of Promise Keepers and Rick Joyner. Note too Paul Cain’s militaristic speech in his Joel’s Army prophecies. Indeed only recently in March 2008, Lou Engle, the man who obviously will do everything he can to fulfil Bob Jones’ visions, at Mike Bickle’s Passion for Jesus  conference, while prophesying the coming and rise of the Elijah generation God-men, called for the church to kill people. Same link here: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/lou-engle-of-the-call-calls-for-war/

They mean it. They say it regularly. They are consistent with what they say to this end. For years they have been working towards it, lying and decieving others. Look at the empire C Peter Wagner has built in all areas - finance, media, God knows what else behind the scenes - and thousands of church leaders unbiblically covenanted to him for life in a pyramid scheme. They really want dominion, and they will take it given the chance. But far from being loving they will be savage wolves when they get the power they crave. Blood is already dripping from their mouths. (Here I could interject about if it is so wrong to speak up and criticise, as they frequently insist, and we should ‘touch not my anointed’ then what will they be doing touching God’s anointed, and more than touching them, killing them? It only works one way for them - the way they want it - CONTROL and manipulation and unquestioning obedience - just like seeding in seed faith only works one way, out of your pocket to them. Wake up, church!)

Why doesn’t the church wake up and believe it? This is where Todd Bentley’s wonderful healing revival is wanting to go. This is what it promotes. Still think it is from God?

Make no mistake, this is more than spiritual warfare, it is a literal bloody civil war between the Blues and the Greys that is prophesied. The physical violence is so horrifying that not a single Christian household escapes unharmed.  Wes Canpbell says: “The North fought the South and the South fought the North. And The South wanted to keep the people enslaved. They wanted their money. They wanted their bodies. They wanted their personhood to keep the system going. And the North said, ‘No! Freedom! Freedom!’ And they went into a terrible fight. And it was father against son, brother against brother and a man’s enemies were in his own house. And the angel said this, ‘There won’t be a house that escapes …’

(Jesus said of the end times. ’The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. “When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains…..” Mark 13: 10-14

Yet again this movement prophesy against themself and declare their true nature!

God told me some years ago that C Peter Wagner was antichrist. Confirmation upon confirmation has been added to this prophecy. Chuck Pierce, second in command, is empowered by the dragon. Paul Cain is under the dark umbrella of the latter rain. Latter Rain and the new apostolic is spiritually as dark as can be, albeit hiding as angels of light, as of course false apostles and Satan do. If  they get their way, and God does not stop them, they are part of the beast and the false prophet prophesied in Revelation. When the dragon is unleashed, they can do extraordinary signs and wonders and even call down fire from heaven.  But it is empowered by the dragon.  Signs and wonders do not at all mean they operate by the power of God!  Why doesn’t the church wake up to them and their wicked schemes? Wake up, oh sleeper! For otherwise you exchange the truth for a lie, and are decieved - yes, even you - the elect, if this were possible, by ‘another’ Jesus and another gospel. Imposters dressed as angels of light. (Well they are not all going to look like Damien from the Omen, are they?) I also know there are some intentional plants on what appears to be the grey side who will eventually convert and call others to convert to the blues. I already have realised the identity of one of these false discerners - a leading voice currently against some forms of apostasy. Very clever.

As far as the great army of the blue coats - Joel’s Army - the overcomers, the new breed, the Mechelzideck priesthood, whatever you want to call them, the elitists - Bob Jones claimed he was transported in the Spirit to a great beach. He stood there before the sands of time and watched a succession of men as they put their hands in the sand and pulled out empty boxes from it.

Then the Lord allegedly said to Jones: “‘Put your hand right here, right there.’

Bob Jones asked, ‘Well, Lord, Why? All I’m going to do is get an empty box.’

‘Just do it.’ said God.

And Bob Jones puts his hand in the sand, pulls a massive box out. And God says, ‘Now open the box.’

Bob Jones opens this box and he sees all these draft notices in it. And he pulls out one. It says, ‘Welcome you are inducted into the Army of the Lord.’  — and there’s three hundred thousand of these draft notices in the box.

Jones says, ‘Lord what is this?’

God said, ‘The men down there, were like Martin Luther, and then John Wesley, and then Charles Finney.  They were the leaders that thought the appointed generation was theirs…. And He [the Lord] says, ‘And they all came up empty-handed. But out of the sands of time I have preserved the best of all bloodlines of all the families of the earth for this hour. And this is the generation that will begin the leadership of the Endtime Army.’”

But before the best of all these bloodlines would emerge victorious in a great Endtime Restoration under the new apostles, the body of Christ would be bloody by a massive civil war - the blues against the greys. They need unity to usher in the Latter Rain era.

In 1996, God supposedly told Rick Joyner to begin preparing for this civil war. He says he was first told about it in 1988. Prophet Rick Joyner, member of the ecumenical and gnostic knights of Malta, must fight, and urge others to fight until there is a complete victory.  The greys, who Joyner says are spiritually ruthless and cruel,  have to be either converted or removed from their place of influence in the church - by whatever means, it seems, even bloodshed.  Joyner says that after the Greys are removed there will be an entirely new definition of Christianity. Believers and unbelievers alike will think, ‘This is the end of Christianity as we know it, and it will be.’   But it will be called the Great Apostasy - an antichrist deception.

Why, church, do you tolerate these wicked men and their schemes?

  1. This reminds me of the importance of Deuteronomy 13:1-4 –

“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.”

Let us cling to God & to His truth & study His Word so that we know it thoroughly during these times!

  2. What a great blog. I was unaware of the “civil war” declaration or false prophecy, but am not surprised as it seems that anywhere the so called toronto blessing came division was not far behind. I happened to be teaching on the Corinthian 12 gifts as I became aware of Todd B, and already can see the same spirit of division ready to manifest. I would urge all Pastors to be bold and were required take full authority to put to flight any who seek to disrupt your flock, by sowing discord.
Keep up the good work, I will seek to discern the one you say is hiding their true “colours”.

In light of all the controversy surrounding present events in Florida and elsewhere, and the spirited discussions of it in many forums, I would appreciate it Miriam, and all who would like to see a different perspective than what I see in most forums, if you all would prayerfully read anc ponder, this one @ http://lit4ever.org/revivalforum/index.php?topic=12514.msg20550;topicseen#msg20550

  4. Paul Morris -

Thanks for the link. While the lady’s story was interesting of a Peter Popoff type fake healign evangelist, that given re Todd Bentley is NOT a prophetic word sought from the Lord’s counsel, or coming from the Lord. It is sadly completely of the flesh and lacks discernment and wisdom on many different counts. It is a false prophecy.

  5. Miriam: Is there any evidence that these people have managed to get their hands on real political power? Have they taken over any city councils or school boards? What about the military? What about planning?

Back last fall, before I finally threw up my hands in horror and turned my back on the weirdness that is Christianity, I was sitting in a meeting with these riverdrunk people and they honestly believed that they were going to be given political authority by God. That really rubbed me the wrong way, because I’d taken an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution as the supreme law of the land. The way these people were talking, they were going to subvert the law (and they were quite clear about this, they did not care a whit for the Constitution except insofar as it could be used by them) for the sake of getting power for God. On the one hand, I wanted to dismiss these people as just the riverdrunk version of an old-style Communist cell, dreaming of when THEY would be in charge. On the other hand, I know that certain religious groups have run stealth campaigns to pack school boards and councils with their own people (who inevitably get voted out once their true aims become known), and I have to wonder, are these people planning or implementing the same thing?

    Your thoughts?

  9. For some time, I had been writing books about today’s Christianity and deception in the end of days. I’d had a few visions about this, and got another during worship at a meeting. I saw a doorway on a street, and immediately I was inside the door. It was like a museum, but unbelievably spotlessly clean.

Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a movement. Had that lance held by a mounted knight moved? Then I saw another movement. Had the sword of that knight in shining armor moved? I looked back at the horse and saw its mane and tail slightly moving as if from a breeze. I looked at the row of windows in the back of the room and noticed one was slightly opened, letting in a slight breeze. Then I heard, “These are the first stirrings of the war you have been expecting.”

Indeed, I have been expecting “war” to break out in churches, causing a great falling away. But I “knew” that those leaving the churches were God’s true followers, and those staying in the whore church were the ones actually falling away into apostasy….for what it is worth…DavWms

  10. Thanks for sharing that David. Someone recently (not at all linked to me and I doubt they had even read this site) on another site, had a vision of the dragon coming out of the sea and being unleashed but did not understand it…this was just before Lakeland and was posted before. If the vision were from God, then it talks about the restraints being taken off by God, and the devil unleashed to elevate the antichrist beast and false prophet and give them power to perform false miracles to decieve the elect.
