Todd Bentley – strange manifestations on Fresh Fire website!

This article on the angel Emma http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/04/24/todd-bentleys-and-prophet-bob-jones-angel-emma/  was based on an article Todd wrote. It is still posted here: http://www.etpv.org/2003/angho.html but on the Fresh Fire Website Todd Bentley has NOW CHANGED his “angelic visitation” story on his ministry website to be somewhat less controversial by removing all references to “Emma”:

(1Cor. 5:11-12 -But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler–not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?)”

Another blogger http://filesfromtoni.blogspot.com/2008/05/false-healing-revival-in-lakeland.html ’coincidentally’  sees controversial material vanishing from the Fresh Fire website at the same time. Wolftracks says -

There was a page at Todd Bentley’s Freshfire Ministry entitled THE GLORY CLOUD OF REVELATION & PROPHETIC MANTLES ~ PART TWO: CONCLUSION BY TODD BENTLEY, FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES. This page told in detail Todd’s vision of Sundar Singh as well as details about the Christian Contemplative Tradition called Lectio Divina. This is no longer available. It has disappeared into thin air. Sometimes those who are being tracked have to go to great lengths to cover their tracks.”

“…in a vision, the Glory Cloud of Revelation descending upon the church. It was also during this time of prayer that God took me in a vision to what I believed to be the Himalayan Mountains. I saw an Indian man with a turban on his head and heard the whisper of the Spirit say, “This is Sundar Singh. I am releasing anointing of revelation like this.” I had no communication with this old saint, nor did he say anything to me. The experience lasted only a moment….”

And this is the revelation he learned from the man with a turban:

THE CHRISTIAN CONTEMPLATIVE TRADITION (LECTIO DIVINA)

Sundar Singh spent at least two hours daily in reading the Scriptures, meditation and prayer. He would arise at 5:00 am and finish by 7:00 or 8:00 depending on what his schedule was for the day. He often spent the whole day or night in prayer. His discipline was to read one chapter of the Bible, rapidly at first reading, then to return to reread passages or verses that were more suggestive to him. These he would linger with and meditate on for as long as it was fruitful for him to do so. Next, he would enter into a period of “recollection” for twenty minutes or so. This was a time of silence, in which he would allow the Lord to speak to him in some way. With his own mind and heart quieted, he opened his mind and his heart to hear what the Lord would have to say to him or just simply enjoy companionship with his Lord. Often this period of silence would extend into a deeper state called “contemplation” in which he enjoyed complete rest and refreshment in the love of God.

Often during times of contemplation, he entered into experiences of ecstasy. He regarded these experiences as the same as St. Paul’s entrance into the “third heaven”. During his latter years, they occurred frequently, as often as ten times a month. About these experiences he said, “I never try to go into ecstasy; nor do I advise others to try. It is a gift to be accepted, but it should not be sought; if given, it is a pearl of great price.”

Anyone who contemplates the heavenly calling of the apostle Paul and his being caught up into the third heaven, and again into Paradise, will lift up his voice to God and say: Glory to God who surely gives great gifts to men!

Today Todd’s vision where he met and spoke with Paul and Abraham, and that shows that Abraham wrote Hebrews, was removed from the website as well.

They’re gone. Thanks to Hesed for pointing this out. What is Todd up to? If he repented of these doctrines fantastic, but this smells like cover up.

    Yes, I saw a close up (somewhere, I forget where) which looks as though the tat on his chest is of the same design as the one on his site at the bottom of the Joel’s Army page. However, he can redefine the meaning just as Bickle does here:

  7. uh I am confused as to the Mike Bickle revision. Has he always believed the Manifest Sons, and Dominion theology but is now revising that belief? And if so why? It is hard to keep up . Is it my imagination ,or has something really speeded up here .

  9. I downloaded his entire collections of teachings a week ago anticipating deletions. But the angel thing had already been changed.

    Internet archive does not show recent changes (6 month delay), and seems to have trouble with the newer website design which uses dynamically generated pages. They will also delete pages on request.

    The Firefox browser has a new plug-in called “Flash Git” which should be useful in doing mass downloads.

    But tracking changes is not so easy.

  10. When a deletion like this happens, you have to ask why.

    I’m less concerned with Emma than about eating the fruit of the tree of Life. See the end of the document.

    EATING FROM THE TREE OF LIFE

    I see angels bringing some of you to the tree of life. Remember how God, in Genesis 3:24, sent the cherubim to guard the way to the tree of life because man had sinned. God took Adam and Eve out of the garden. But today the Lord wants to bring some of us into that place where we taste the fruit of the tree of life. I want you to get involved right now and say: Father, please give us that fruit. Lord let those angels bring us right into the place where you have prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies. Give us the divine life that comes from that tree so we can taste and see that the Lord is good.

    Well , if we are in Christ we have already communion with the Father and the Son as John said. And we can have already free acces to the fruit of this tree, for Jesus has opened the Way already, we have eternal life (if we dwell in His love and persevere in His commandments). The fruit of the tree of Life is the fruit of the Spirit (love, peace, joy , self-control ..) sanctification and eternal life.
    Why should the Father show another way when Jesus is the Way , the Truth and the Life ?
    Jesus said : Follow me. None comes to the Father save by me.

    It is interesting that an organisation would have an “Affirmations and Denials” page. Why would they have to do this if there wasn’t some confusion as to what their beliefs were at one time? What would have caused this confusion?

  19. Amen Eric Claire (aka debonnaire). So many Christians try to go somewhere “outside of themselves” to pick up an experience or holiness or whatever, when the Lord is supposedly abiding inside of themselves.
    Very often these people who are searching for experiences believe they are looking to eat from the tree of life, but are actually eating from the tree of “knowledge of good and evil”.

  24. How come this guy spends more time worshipping and interacting with angels than with God? I do believe that angels exists, and that God sends them to appear to people and help people, but the focus has always been on God. Todd takes the focus away from God and places it on the angels. Angels are there to bring glory to God, not the other way around. Why would anyone want to “access their service in intercession and release them in your life” It is not up to you, it is up to God. Only He can send angels, and why on earth would you ask the Father for angels, if you have Jesus? Let His will be done, not ours!

  26. I cried when I saw all the demonic markings and rings ….. No fear of God! Pompus,arrogant,spirit this man operates in… he has blasmphme the Holy Spirit!!! You can look at this man and see the demonic influence all over him, his countnence is very, very, very dark! and people are just flocking to get a touch of satan, no longer enduring sound doctrine, and holding fast to Jesus Christ. Shepards of flocks going to get a touch and bring it back to their own flocks! I am beyond disturbed, I am MAD! just to be honest. I have been praying against the false revival, teaching, spirit, and I pray people discernment will highten, and people set free and delivered from the contact of these meetings… I even pray that repentence is not too late for TB and the crew and family.

    You know just a couple of nights ago before I went to bed I read a few scriptures and the Lord took me to Daniel 5 where Belshazzar Feast, where they had a feast and they drank wine from the gold and silver vessels his father Neuchadnezzar had taken from the temple, and all Belshazzar people drank from them, and they praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood, and stone… Then the fingers of a man’s hand showed up and wrote on the wall
    MENE,MENE,TEKEL,UPHARSIN.. God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; Your kingdom has been divied and given to the Medes and the Persians.
    Well as we read, later that very night Belshazzar was slain…

    Why? God was tired of Belshazzars arrogance before Him, and He was going to pull the plug on his kingdom and bought an end to his rule because Belshazzar OPENLY rebelled against God’s ways. He was filled with pride, and had a wild party, and dared to drink wine from the Holy vessels of God, and the more I read the article explaining Emma-O and seeing upclose TB and then watching some of the video clips where he mocks tounges, and mocks God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and cant help but to think of TB when I re-read Daniel 5. Again…. I pray it is not tooo late for his repentence, I mean that will all my heart, I watched him lay hands on his own children and bless them with this false religion.

    Stay close to Jesus saints, stay in prayer and His Word.

Right then and there she started to get covered by it herself! Within a minute her whole body had oil, diamond dust, gold dust, sapphire dust, and silver dust coming on her, and within two minutes she was a sign and a wonder! She said she would be coming to their church the following Sunday!

I hope she finds the real Jesus and the real gospel in the church but its hard to believe she will hear anything except this “experience” and the other manifesting, laughter, roll, angelic “experiences” which will last as long as a sugar high.

  29. hello: So did the lady receive Christ as savior? Did she come to the understanding of her condition as to why she needed a savior? Where she was headed to if she didn’t put her faith in Christ?

    If not then she gained absolutely nothing, she could have had one hundred pounds of gold dust, diamond dust, oil, sapphire dust, and silver dust. None of those things will get her name in the book of life.

    So all the lady got was confirmation of the supernatural, now she’ll have her own imagination as to where and how this happened. From the sounds of that testimony, the lady is convinced of what…..signs and wonders?

    So that’s the gospel now, gold diamonds and stones?
    Not sure what your point was, as you left your intentions up in the air. Now that may be their gospel but it sure isn’t the bibles gospel. Jesus said but for signs and wonders some wouldn’t believe, there’s no faith in seeing signs and wonders. God said it was impossible to please him without faith. Trust in on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, not trust in gold, silver, diamond dust, or money, or oil!

    Ironic enough they never even mentioned Jesus one time.
    Even if she got confirmation or even a hint this was from God, she’s still undone and in her sins if she was not introduced to the one and only Christ Jesus.

    Plus, if she had been introduced to Christ she now has a false conversion, because now she has her faith, in a give me god, and when the time of real test comes she’ll have her faith in gold, diamond dust, oil, silver, and stones, and will fail, because she now has built her house on sand. This is why it’s very important, and CRYSTAL CLEAR what the bible says about not changing the gospel. A true conversion is full of faith and FREE from your sins and your name written in the book of life, by trust in Jesus Christ and him ALONE!!!

    If it took a sign and wonder for her to believe, then all she really believed in was signs and wonders. This in turn is really the road to hell, paved by gold dust, diamond dust, stones and oil.

  30. Yesterdays news revealed a twister or similar event struck Kansas, I wonder if it had anything to do with Bob Jones and Paul Cain?

    William Branham was sympathetic to the Feemason’s and was probably one himself as he has a big pyramid with a gold eagle on top at his gravesite. Feemasonry for those who do not know is Witchcraft.

    This is very similar to Charles Russell the founder of the Watchtower Society who weaved his web of lies around peoples lives, like the JWs did to my family for 50 years, until we were set free by Christ Jesus.

    Satan is a ‘wily serpent’ with his cunning. The fake is dressed up to be very real indeed.

    These are end times Guys and he is determined to decieve even the elect if he can. I believe this is the great deception that will result in the ‘mark’ of the beast in the hand or forehead. Tattoo’s and brandings were used to show ownersip in days gone by. They are Satanic and condemned by Gods word and yet a ‘Minister’ of God has the most vilest looking ones put over his body, whilst he is supposed to be doing Gods will.

  31. Gold dust, Gold Teeth etc etc is Alchemy and is practiced by witches and other Occultists.

    Where in the Bible does it tell us about Gold dust and Gold Teeth? Moses made the people drink water with powdered gold dust in it, to teach them a lesson, it definately was NOT linked to a blessing.
