Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Bob Jones Shepherd’s Rod Prediction and The Annual “Jesus” Bloodshedding

Steve Schultz, founder of the Elijah List, interviews Bob Jones on Prophetic TV last year. My comments are in brackets and italics.

Brief transcript of this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdl0dnXexRE&feature=related

“Advert – Have you ever gone on vacation and felt like you left God behind, now you can enjoy a fun and relaxing vacation and recharge your spiritual life as well…with Elijah List Cruise. Don’t feel you’re leaving God behind when you go on vacation…”

[Rather than correct this poor thinking, bad theology and ignorant notion of God, the Elijah List capitalise on it and market it. They want people to be dependent on them and their prophets for spiritual kicks - otherwise they will be out of a job!]

Start of interview:-

Steve Schulz: “Bob Jones, a veteran prophet, who I consider to be a friend as well as prophetic seer….and Larry Randolph a prophetic seer and great friend, great guy. Larry is here to sort of interpret Bob in case he starts talking about (….elephants??…) and that kind of thing.”

[End times note: Does this mean Bob Jones needs someone to reign him in case he goes too far or flaky?  But he does way go to far and flaky in this interview and nobody corrects him or reigns in him. Steve Schulz is rather enraptured at Bob Jones' dark sayings]

Larry Randolph: (approx 5.40 minutes) ’The Lord talks to Bob in dark sayings, scripture talks about parables and dark sayings….

[End times note: Bob Jones is 'dark' all right - scripture says the antichrist will speak in dark sentences]

Bob Jones: (7.02 mins) Bob Jones claims with zero substantiation that when God really  gives a word, all hell breaks loose to attack it - the more clear the word, more clear the trial. (7.18 min)… every times I’ve seen a real accurate prophecy like that, a one hundred percenter, I’ll go along with them (the person the word is to) and say you better not give up as the enemy is going to do everything he can to stop it.

[End times note: But ALL prophecy should be a 'one hundred percenter' - or at least aimed at. And if Bob Jones recognises that there is a recognisable difference at the time of his reciept of a vision between a one hundred percenter and a nought percenter, fifty percenter or even a seventy or eighty percenter, then he should not speak the percentage he is aware of in the flesh and endeavor keep it one hundred percent pure and of God, and just speaks out what he knows to be 100% of God. Otherwise he is testifying and admitting that he prophesies in the flesh - a huge no, no. (I am humoring him for the sake of argument here, as Bob Jones does NOT speak for God because of the audacious things he prophesies, even if he is ever accurate - which he rarely is except the self-fulfilled words put into motion for him by the apostolic-prophetic movement like their clammering to get to Lakeland on June 23rd, the date Bob Jones just so happened to prophesy the glory would get stronger - a pure coincidence we are assured by Che Ahn. Yeah, right, just like Toronto was a coincidentental timing to match Bob's prophecies...!]

(8.30 min) Bob Jones says the Elijah List are dangerous to the enemy so are attacked by the evil one!

(9.20 min) The shepherd’s rod.

Bob Jones: Back in the 1970s a priest began to appear to me and give me information of what was going to happen the next year – and he kept asking me, did I know who he was. After three or four years I said ‘no, I know you’re Jesus but I don’t know who…’

[So we are supposed to believe that Bob Jones did not reply to this priest for 3 or 4 years even though this priest in this divine visitation directly kept asking him who he thought He was?  And more worrying than that that that Bob Jones listens to 'spirit beings' without asking their identity or testing them?

And what on earth is ''no, I know you're Jesus but I don't know who...'" supposed to mean?!  How many Jesus's does Bob know? (or not know as the case may be]

…. and he kept speaking Heb 6.5 to me… and Heb 5.6 a priest like unto Melchelzideck – and he began to show that this priest still comes ….

[Yet Jesus is no longer a high priest in this sense. He has already MADE intercession once and for all - past tense, says Hebrews - through his death on the cross. Though that sacrifice and offering is still now open and valid for all who will come and repent and believe, Jesus is no longer working in that priest's role, as he is now resurrected and glorified! The past work acts as a continual intercession before God, not Jesus's continued actions still.]

this priest still comes on the day of atonement …

[note all the prophetic-apostolic's enrapturement with Hebrew dates. Only one day of atonement is relevant for us, the day Jesus blood was spilt nearly two thousand years ago. Each subsequent day of atonement has no more relevance to us or specialness then than any other day - unless we wish to keep it as a festival of remembrance. But is is not a more anointed or special day as Bob is claiming here, or a day that Jesus does anything uniquely special to help us....]

and goes into the holiest of holies ….

[The Holy of Holies under the Old Covenant is obsolete, as after Christ's death on the cross, the veil to this sacred place was ripped in two, thereby indicating that man could now boldly enter this place and approach the throne of God with no other need of a priest or mediator than Christ Jesus's body as that curtain/veil.

In the New Covenant, the Holy of Holies is the place where God dwells. If Bob Jones is suggesting the Holy of Holies is some sort of physical heavenly place, how can Jesus 'go into' the place where God dwells in the heavenlies when He is God anyway?  And bearing in mind His continued status on the throne of heaven, how can He go 'into' something that He already is in and glorified in at that? Is Bob Jones suggesting that Jesus is not constantly in the most holy place in heaven?

The word of God indicates that the Holy of Holies is within us as we believers are now the temple of God by His Spirit. If Bob Jones is suggesting Jesus enters us each year, this is heresy, as Christ is with us always from conversion and has no need to re-enter us in this sense.]

and offers up his blood for our sins ….

[This is an incredible heresy - it denies Christ's all sufficient work and it denies the power of the blood of Jesus and the cross! Bob Jones is claiming that Jesus is in some sense re-crucified each year on the day of atonement in some mysterious Holy of Holies. Apparently Christ's death and ressurrection the first time around was not enough, and Christ was lying when he said 'it is finished'. Finished til just next year, eh? Does this 'Jesus but I don't know who' get resurrected each year too, Bob?

It is incredible that Bob Jones is so well viewed in parts of hoodwinked Christiandom as this most be the worst thing I have heard Bob Jones say out of lots of crazy things. It is not Christianity, it is another Jesus and antichrist.]

and guaranteeing us one more year of life.

[but the one-off shed blood of Jesus does not guarantee Christians one more year of life. It guarantees forgiveness of sins and eternal life but not immortality on earth without tasting death as Christians still die physically]

And Lev 27:32, all the sheep pass under the shepherd’s rod on the day of atonement. 10% are marked holy unto the Lord.

[huh! This is crazy! All Christ's sheep are holy, not just 10% of them. Bob Jones is focussed on Old Testament types and shadows that have long since past away, and wrongly interpreting them at that.]

So their destiny is marked for that year.

[Our destiny is marked by Christ's continually giving himself and shedding his blood on the day of atonement?  Is our destiny not rather marked before even the creation of the world culminating in the one off spilling of blood on the cross?]

We become a living sacrifice and every year we still go under that shepherds rod on the day of atonement and the Lord marks us for service.

[But I thought that Bob Jones was saying Jesus was the yearly sacrifice. Now we are becoming the yearly sacrifice according to Jones?! Do we spill our blood too while we are at it?

Romans 12:1 indicates that our continued submission to God is as a living sacrifice, not by spilling of our blood in this sense but by odedience and dedication or a life laid down in service - and this is a continual thing, not just once a year, that WE do as an act of our wills, not that God does for us, although we are continually helped by the Holy Spirit.  We are marked for service by this dedication and obedience co-ordinated with God's Will - not some silly yearly ritual]

Read Leviticus. Every place you see that He is within us that there is maturity He opens up destiny. And Ezekiel 21:37 he says ‘who really goes there’, he says ‘we the people go under that rod every year’.

[Maturity does not open up destiny - Christ does. And Christ does not just use us when we are mature, and none of us are fully mature anyway this side of eternity. In fact going by this thinking, it is the immature parts that God often opens up to work on and develop character]

We are evaluated or devaluated every year for promotion or demotion.

[Promoted and Demoted to what?!]

It’s not like we can lose our salvation

- it is always day of atonment as per Hebrew calendar.

(12.15) I believe everyone should really seek the Lord on that night, 6 in the evening til 6 the next evening, with pencil and piece of paper… .and He is going to give them intructions for the next year

[So once a year is a special prophetic time to get instructions for the whole of the next year? What twaddle!]

Bob Jones then goes on to say that God took away the ’glory’ in 1977 because people marketed it. He took the white light away til now in 2007….He gave it back apparently because of new hunger and new morals in the leaders with such a hunger that they will never market it again.

[!!!!!! ha ha ha! this is very droll - he is being interviewed by Mr Merchandiser himself, Steve Schulz of the Elijah List

Note too that once again Bob Jones demonstrates that he is false as who has marketed the alleged glory that we know recently that obviously lacks morals and character despite his claims to virtual perfection....??]

(18.58 min) Larry Randolph says the new glory means people will be sealed on the forehead   ‘holiness unto the Lord’.

Bob claims that 27 people praying together powerfully is very significant number and 27 is the spiritual number of New Jerusalem.

[Note this is ridiculous, superstitious and unbiblical! Sure, 27 is good, but 2 and 3 or 22 and 14 and any other number is a good number too.

Is this 27 claim why on Todd's commissioning night by the new apostles they claimed their 27th resurrection?]

Steve Schulz seems really shocked and amazed on this video that 27 Christians praying together are more powerful than all the muslim world praying on Ramadan!   He is ’surprised’ by this revelation? One Christian praying is more powerful that any numbers of Muslims or JW or pagans praying! Just one.  Is Schulzy really that ignorant about prayer and the uniqueness of Christ and the power of the name of Jesus?

Lastly, right at the end of video, the scripture ‘you will know the truth and it will set you free’ is blatantly distorted and applied for the last days ONLY.]

Not to defend Bob’s false meanings but Romans 8:34 sounds like Jesus is interceding even today for us in the sense of covering us before the Father against the accuser.

Please note the contexts of the two different types of ‘intercession’ here between the OT priest as a representative standing in the gap and making a sacrifice for sins which is now completely obsolete, which is the main element of the priestly role what I am primarily focussing on here, and other types of what we call ‘intercession’.

However that all said, some of these of the second type of ‘intercession’ I still also see in being a past tense finished work, although them still having a continued influence today before the Father even when the work is done.

Like a bridge builder – he built the bridge 2000 years ago, yet the bridge still crosses that gap today and works for people who cross it and acts as a bridge – though the bridge builders work is done.

  4. Heb 7:27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself

  5. Heb 10:11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

  6. Heb 5 -

Every high priest is selected from among men and is appointed to represent them in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.

No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was. 5So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,
    “You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.[a]“[b] And he says in another place,
    “You are a priest forever,
    in the order of Melchizedek.”[c]

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

  7. Endtimes: this is the last clip of a sermon on todd bentley heresy. It sums up everything in a very detailed manner. This last clip however, he talks about Todd and money. He speaks of a video he have of todd bentley before the lakeland outpouring began, were todd convinces people to come up on stage and put money into his pockets. I was thinking about this and your visions on todd bentley and the lakeland outpouring and that the motivation for the revival was money.

  10. I would really like to see a blog where people could testify of healings that they have received.
I mean, this is a Christian website. The bits of sunshine are lost in the gloom… Talk is of the counterfeit – well, show us the real!
And especially if people tell how the healing came about
eg own faith, Pastor, drea or vision, word of knowledge or word of wisdom, prophetic word, healing line etc.
And if they have prayed for others as a result of their own healing.
Or if they know of someone who actually does get people healed on a one to one basis (versus meetings with hundreds of people and one person gets healed on their own faith or corporate faith etc).

  11. When I watched this video link with Bob Jones & the Elijah list guy, I could hardly believe my ears. What an incredible statement about the church world that people could buy this–does no one read their Bibles anymore?
The last statement is worse too than I think people are seeing–”They will know the truth and the truth will set you free”–In teaching that this is a PROPHECY about END TIMES–it’s one more piece of their set-up for the Antichrist–yeah, people will THINK they’re seeing the truth… But only a remnant will really be saved… More ridiculous dominion stuff, totally contrary to Scripture…

  12. Reply to INDEX…
The times I’ve gotten healed by God (especially “instantly”) were when I repented of sin, or, when I cried out to Him with all my heart for mercy. Not always has He healed me when I’ve asked, but those 2 things are what He mostly has responded to when He has. Also I’ve followed the instructions from the Bible to have elders pray for me/anointing me with oil.
Incidentely, even before I learned that positive confession, “effortful” faith, etc were WRONG–even when I tried to believe that crazy word faith stuff–it NEVER worked for me. (I believe that was God protecting me from the deception)
Try seeking God’s heart rather than His hand, and you’ll find true healing of your SOUL…

I have come from a Word of Faith background…
I have heard very few testimonies of healing.
I hope more people add their testimonies here.

  16. Question: What is the difference between “word of faith/positive confession” and praying God’s Word and guarding our tongue, etc? “Life and death is in the power of the tongue” Is there a difference? I don’t think we should go around speaking negatively about ourselves, out circumstances and others. What am I missing here?

The most important thing is that we seek to communicate with the Lord face to face and to hear His voice.

My nephew was around 10 years old and was very ill. I had been taught that I could not pray for him unless his parents agreed, as he was a minor. His parents had no interest in the Lord.

He was with me at a meeting when during the worship, the Lord spoke to me and told me to pray for him. I did it, just because I was told and did not try to reason on what I had been taught. My nephew was healed instantly and remains healed today. He is now 25 years old, and in Bible school. This taught me that the Lord loves His people and His heart is to heal; we should seek with all our hearts to love Him and seek Him.

The Word teaches us His heart, so we know His heart is for healing for ALL people. We seek Him in understanding how any particular situation is dealt with.

  18. That’s wonderful about your nephew, donG. But I don’t think we will communicate face to face with the Lord while we are on this earth. However, we can hear His voice. Glad you listened and prayed for your nephew. I had heard that old “spiritual authority” years ago too. We should pray as the Lord leads us.
