Shariah law? Sure, but let it apply in reverse as well so it applies equally to everyone, so that when a Muslim insults Jesus Christ or questions whether the Bible is true or not, that they get the same penalty as if they were insulting Islam or the prophet, right? yes?

No, back to the fantasy and delusion that IS this present world, and it’s hard taskmaster.

We shouldn’t be surprised – Jesus told us this would happen. While we should care about this, and I certainly do, we need to guard our hearts and minds, memorize the scriptures, and prepare for the worst. We could quickly come to face the kind of persecution that believers in other countries have long dealt with.

There are many (note I do not say all ) in particularly the Islam camp that demand religious tolerance and “rights”, yet these include the very same ones, the least willing ones, to give the same tolerance or even much more basic fundamental rights to any others. (eg Islam converts to Christianity are regularly killed as apostates and one is not able to criticise this or other aspects of painful Sharia law without being persecuted and labelled anti Islam – yet these same ones that will kill apostates have a major problem if some Christian so much as says an innocent and non blasphemous remark about Islam, or the Islam community will blow up about something tiny like a picture of a puppy used in a British advert as it is an unclean animal etc.) They yell and demand “rights” but this double standards with such unequal scales is hypocrisy of the highest level. It is compromise only one way – their way, only their way, for many (not all). It seems only tolerance of them, for what they want however unreasonable, while giving less and less tolerance to others. It is not a level playing field and has not been for some years.

This then, for many, is not about genuine equality and fairness. Rather it is about positive discrimination and political lunacy to such an extent it discriminates entirely out and nullifies and silences and oppresses all alternative views, to get a militant minority people group into power that does not tolerate others and is not representative of the whole faith anyway. It is more than censorship – it is religious oppression and persecution of anything that is not politically correct. Which they are supposed to be complaining about, right?
