Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God's word

Todd Bentley in Louisville, Kentucky, shows the world how many resurrections there have really been at Lakeland

Thanks to “MrScooterJones” who posted this video clip here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e5M0WnDIpA&eurl of Todd Bentley speaking at Lousville, KY, at the afternoon service earlier today.

Todd is claiming “32 stories of resurrections from the dead & tens of thousands healed every night…”  One of those 32 resurrections is the one his ministry have been told is false and have not retracted yet (see here) as well as the other tall tales that have been revealed to be lies.

However note carefully his body language at 0.52/0.53 seconds on this video. While he speaks, he makes a sign with his fingers. Was this subconsciously giving away the real truth with his body language? – as he signed a big fat zero while saying the number!

  1. Notice how he is now only claiming to have “stories” of people raised from the dead. So he’s being accurate and the count is truly 32 stories.

  2. Actually,
I saw the night where Todd claims 3 verified resurrections. The NEXT night he withdrew one resurrection and said that they found out it was a hoax. He said that they want to be sure they are accountable. Why don’t you look up this and post this instead of assuming the worst?

  3. Well, Miriam, no comments on these claims by Bentley, eh? Well, I guess people must be overwhelmed by such amazing stories ;-)

BTW, anyone care to do the math on Bentley’s claim that 10,000 physical healings a night (sometimes more) are taking place in Lakeland? Just use a factor of 100 nights multiplied by 10,000. And the answer is….

  4. Notice he says, “there are 32 STORIES.” That seems to be his way of defending them, he doesn’t say there have been 32 people raised, he says there are 32 stories.

    Hmmmm

  5. Miriam, here is a radio interview done in Seattle, WA last week regarding Todd Bentley. I posted the link up on my blog.

One of the men interviewed has close ties to the International Coalition of Apostles (Peter Wagner) and he is in total opposition to what is going on in Lakeland. http://northwestmusings.wordpress.com/2008/07/17/live-from-seattle-radio-interview/

  7. Jesus is Alive :) The question isn’t is about Todd… its is Jesus Alive ? Todd, in this clip is just saying ’stories’ because they all need to have doctor certification… before saying definate.. If you dont think todd is operating in the H.S then rather than slating him, we need to be praying for him! that God will touch him :) God Is Love ! may we learn to love each other in all we do in Jesus name :)

  8. Paul

If you saw an elderly lady – a neighbour – being beat up in front of your living room window by a guy you knew you could ‘take on’ physically, I guess then by your claims here, you would not ’slate’ the abuser, and perish the thought you would not intervene and stop the guy kicking the woman in the teeth, or even protect her by calling the police or other back-up. No, the loving thing by your definition would be to let him keep kicking her til she is dead, and to pray for the mugger while he is killing the woman. And you would not appear in court as a witness, as it is not right to judge.

Cos God is love, right? How sweet and loving of you! Who is your neighbour, Paul?

  9. I totally agree on this miriam. Love is so misunderstood today. People seems to believe that love is just a fuzzy feeling. True love can never be seperate of truth. If you have knowledge of something bad, you would certainly in love, warn people against it. Even though it might hurt their feelings. Its such a shame and such a sorrow to me that there are so few that dare standing up and love people in truth and spirit. How many could have been spared if that was the case.
God bless you Miriam. Your site has blessed me so much.

  10. It always amazes me that people are so ready to stick up for Todd, but not his victims. God loves them too and so should we. It seems if someone can get in front of people and claim to speak for God, he can get away with just about anything, even violence. Those who watch applaud and laugh with approval when he assaults vulnerable people instead of doing what they can to stop the attack.

When are we going to wake up and realise that we have a responsibility to those who hear of the “outpouring” and turn up hoping for a miracle and do not get one. Some even get physically assaulted in front of a crowd of Christians and no one lifts a finger to protect them. That is the most obscene thing about all this. It is sick.

  12. Funny to see that, but please, lets not start looking for subliminal things? Ring too much like Back-masking in music from the ’80s…

  13. Truth is SO important. There is much spiritual damage left in the wake of a false prophet. I know, because I was once in a cult. Even though they preached being born again, they then followed it with false teachings, false prophecies, false claims of “special revelation”,etc. It harmed, and even destroyed peoples lives. Discernment is needed in this late hour, more than ever. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give it to you. Pray for Todd to get out of this deception, and his romantic relationship with another woman not his wife. I dont hate Todd, but I do hate the apostasy that he is teaching.
