Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Pastor and his Family for Sale on Ebay!

I do not know if this is for real, a joke, a publicity stunt, or a mixture of all three, but a “pastor” listed himself and his family for sale on the auction site ebay here.

“You are looking at/bidding on a very contemporary out of the box Pastor.  As you can tell by the pictures He preaches and teaches in a very unorthodox manner.  He does it without compromising the true written word of God.  He and his family has chosen to go this route of putting themselves on the market in hopes to find a church that is untraditional and is ready to reach their community.  He and his family will consider relocating in the contentinental United States.  For any questions or more information feel free to email Pastor Chad at pastorchad72@gmail.com or visit his my space at ttp://www.myspace.com/pastorchadsmith”

The bidding ended yesterday and the listing did not get the reserve.

  2. Interesting approach. Clergy, like teachers, are grossly underpaid for the hours of intense labor they provide. Good luck.

  3. Hundreds of people (thousands?) across the country were exposed to this pastor’s advirtising, this blog post being exhibit #1. You can get virtually anything else from e-bay, why not search for a church pastor there?

  4. So much for being called to lead a particular church. Instead, now you can go to the highest bidder.

  5. I’m thinking this guy just wanted a church to give him a job offer and to show he really is an out of the box thinker. If it had worked it probably would have changed the way pastor get to chruches forever.

  6. Erin, you know that pastor’s mail out resumes just like everybody else, right? That’s how churches find pastors… and vice versa.

  7. Yes, I realize that pastors mail out resumes just like everyone else. But this isn’t exactly mailing out a resume. Instead of the church interviewing the man and finding out what he is really like and both parties praying and seeking God’s will for who should pastor their church he goes to the highest bidder. Doesn’t seem right to me.

  8. “Dosen’t seem right to me.”
This wouldn’t seem right to anyone who thinks inside the box……
