Robert Ricciardelli reveals Todd Bentley deliberately defied Rodney Howard Browne

Some of what else Robert Ricciardelli revealed is written in the article here. Note that I in no way support Rodney Howard Browne or his ministry, but this reveals a very interesting aspect to Todd and his bad character.

Summary of what is revealed on the video -

Rodney Howard Browne met with Todd Bentley early in the Lakeland meetings. ‘My advice to you is do not talk about angels, do not get off on angel Emma, preach the word of God and let’s see what God does.’ And Todd agreed  with him. But the very next day in defiance, Todd said at the meeting: ’Someone recently told me that I’m not going to talk about angels’ – then he chanted in a demented and pagan way for the angels to come, then he also got the crowd to chant for angels in a demented and pagan way.

  1. I think that the division in the ranks of the NAR over Bentley is meaningless. Who cares what R H Browne thinks or doesn’t think? He’s more guilty, IMHO, than Bentley of spreading this false doctrine and killing off faith in the saints.

    But it does remind me of the Bible lessons about how the Lord allows the Enemy’s ranks to just divide against themselves in confusion.

    Patricia King has acted real “wounded” over all the YouTube and websites like Miriam’s that seem to be, in her words, so “negative” and so in such a “critical spirit” especially about Todd Bentley.

    Tough beans, Patty. You dish out evil in the name of a Holy God, you are going to get the true Saints rising up against your lies.

    But the truth is she is echoing the shock of the whole NAR (again IMHO) at the backlash against Bentley. The equalizing power of the Internet has given the sheep a voice that Rodney Howard Browne, Bob Jones, Rick Joyner and other oldsters in the movement have never heard before.

    Imagine if the Internet were as active during the mid 1990’s when Browne’s Toronto “blessing” was happening.

    But back to Ricardelli (sp?). It may be convenient for NAR members to want to isolate and distance themselves from Bentley, but it is NOT convenient for them to realize the pandemic institutional lies of the NAR itself — the birthing room for Todd Bentley and every other Baal worshipping false prophet on their list. We’ll see. It takes true courage for some like Robert R. to take the stand he has already taken. God Bless him.

    Does he STILL consider himself a man of God, and minsiter of the gospel, who represents God on earth as a leader of HIS sheep.

  3. We do not know the whole story of what was and what was not said by whom – BUT my major concern was more that this was the only counsel that Rodney Howard Browne apparently gave Todd Bentley. So it’s ok to be a false prophet and impart demonic stuff and to lie and repeatedly give false testimony – just don’t mention angel emma or angels as its controversial.

Also, I included this not because I think anyone should ’submit’ to RHB, or that RHB is worth listening to – rather I included it to show of Todd’s attitude, saying one thing one day to RHB, and the next day going completely against it in a really obnoxious stick your finger up type of way – if this apostle speaks the truth about what happened.

  5. The whole debate concerning Bentley and the NAR smacks of the ol saying in business, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity”.

    So many of these guys just seem to be trying to make their break into the biz, the “christian” business/industry. And there’s enough flaky Christians out there to make their dreams become a reality.

    Real people are just pawns to them.

    I think it’s just one demonic presence giving another the middle finger, so it is hard to feel sorry for the NAR who is a bit taken back by Bentley’s so called “rebellion” or lying to R H Browne.

    They all lie all the time, but they are aghast that Bentley spurred Browne’s advice?

    Methinks it is R H Browne’s own pride that is wounded because he could not stamp his seal of approval (and get credit) for Lakeland.

    Typical NAR psychopathy: picking out gnats, swallowing camels.

    Say, where has the Grand Poobah been the last few days? The way the announcement went, it made it appear as though he was coming back Friday and carrying on consistently through the end of August when they have obviously decided to close up shop.

    Anyone know? Maybe I just missed the announcement of something (?)

  9. How did this happen? where did this start?
    i.ve only just found out about this and it smacks of new age and how they talk to spiritual guides. toronto caused a lot of splits here in the uk, churches have become rock concerts playing a beat that sounds like they would use at a molech sacrifice of children . where are the leaders with discernment, a generation has grown up who cannot bother to read and study the word, i left my church after 32 years when the young pastor preached a full message and had an appeal without once naming the name of Jesus and breaking of bread was banished to a side room for the oldies.
    i fear for this generation who are so open to deception and have produced the Bentleys of this world.
    may the LORD open the eyes of his church and send a true Holy Spirit revival, and confound these false preachers.

  11. Sorry Harry Hemsley but Todd Bentley is coming to UK in
    September (NEC Birmingham). I am from Sussex and am
    horrified at the speed of this false revival, now called
    ‘the Sussex outpouring’. You are so right about Toronto
    causing splits and fissures throughout our churches.It was
    a definate turning point when the rot set in and has a lot
    to answer for. I came to Florida mid-May (NOT TO SEE TODD
    BENTLEY, I WOULDN’T TOUCH HIM WITH A BARGE POLE) but am armed with a host of video clips,articles like this one
    and SCRIPTURE GALORE that I have gleaned for my return
    to UK early August.
    So far my church is not ‘reaching for it’ although the
    inevitable handful of experience seekers are trying hard
    to ’stoke the fire’ by being glued to the screen night after
    night. I don’t really know why but my husband and I seem to
    have our judgement trusted so we believe we will be able to
    present the truth to our circle.
    Like yours, the cry from our heart is WHERE ARE THE LEADERS
    WHO ARE RECOGNISED WITH TRUE DISCERNMENT? Why are they
    silent at such a serious time as this. Whats more we are
    beginning to feel reluctant to even approach them on the
    subject, which is ridiculous really.
    CONFUSION causing DIVISION, DELUSION, Alas it is upon us,
    the day is dawning, BUT Jesus sits upon the throne,crowned
    with many crowns, and is in control. As for us,our great
    commision is to pray without ceasing and proclaim the truth
    with boldness and in love.

  12. Rodney is a huge, greasy fraud. If he told me to do to anything I would “defy” him. To even say someone defied him puts him in a position of authority and he should not be in one. Just go to one of his little hooplas and when he comes over to “slay” you in the spirit just make eye contact with him. He will slither away.

  13. I find Todd’s attitude to be the norm with these people. I am not condoning Rodney Howard-Browne or his heretical teachings in any way. But it seems that these “leaders” who claim to believe in honor and truth do not have the intestinal fortitude to be honest and up front with people. They would rather stand there and agree with someone and then use their pulpit as a place to crucify someone and cut them down. They also tend to deal in vagaries rather than get to the point, I suppose it might have something to do with liable as there lies and innuendo wouldn’t stand up in court. Just a thought :-)

  14. With all that is happening, I never thought I would say this- but it appears that Lakeland may very well be a blessing in disguise. I hope it does break up the ICA network once and for all. I think it would have happened long before now if much bolder stances were taken.

    The Assemblies of God needs to disfellowship Stephen Strader and Karl Strader for allowing all this nonsense to begin in the first place. While I am aware that they did make a statement on revival- the statement was quite generic. I thought it should have been more direct and should have specified that any AG churches that follow the revival would face the threat of having their pastors removed and being disfellowshipped.

    The greatest kings in Biblical times were those who tore down the high places so that people could no longer go there to worship false gods. As an Assembly of God churchgoer- That’s what we need- a tearing down of the high places once and for all.

I praise God for my church, we have been having dicipleship training and are having a big prayer night at our church, the prayers are for us, we are going out to fufill the Great Comission as a group, in the streets and neighborhoods or wherever God leads. It’s called the Ephesians 4: 11,12 strategy, it’s to get the ministry into the hands of EVERY believer and not depend fully on the pastor to get everyone saved as some believers think. God has blessed our church with a right out of the word Pastor who THANK GOD, doesn’t go for the bentley garbage, so I am thankful I haven’t had to deal with my pastor being lead astray!!! His favorite saying is, “Keep your eyes on Jesus the Master and not the pastor”!

    Prayers PLEASE, that many will be saved, we are not just going to plant seeds, but plan on staying with them watering them for GOD to grow them up!!!

  17. God’s people certainly need stronger discernment. We also should desire the gifts of the Spirit. Especially the gift of “discerning of spirits” both good and bad. Discernment and discerning of spirits is not the same thing.

    Spiritual discernment is a type of discernment that grows as we mature in the word of God and living the word and working in ministry. It comes with experience.

    The gift of “discerning of spirits” is a gift that tells you by the Spirit whether it is an evil spirit or a good spirit, or an angel from God. This gift also causes you to see the spirits, since the spirits or hear the spirits or all three.

    In this day and age let’s desire all of the gifts of the Spirit especially the gift of “discerning of spirits” and the gift of “prophecy”. I myself desire all of the gifts of the Spirit. I have some, but I desire all of them.
