Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Bob Jones admits he lost his marbles and was crazy

The following was spoken by Bob Jones in May 2005. (See here here for source.) I went into the specific prophecy re the Joseph Company in the article here. However I just wanted to highlight these two paragraphs from the much longer article, as they speak volumes and raise serious questions.

Bob Jones:

“A number of years ago the Lord told me I had lost my marbles in the garden and that my generation has been crazy for six thousand years. He told me to go out in my garden and start digging them up – over the years I’ve dug up 12 – I got my marbles back!

I spoke to Rick Joyner that he was going to have another child and she’d be born on August 8th and she’d be 8 pounds. It was on that day nearly 15 years ago that I was out in my garden and I found my 8th marble. It was amber, which means “close to the throne” – this was a generation that would be close to the throne. So Rick put her on the scales the moment she was born – 8th day, 8th month, 8 pounds, 8 marbles. Children are signs and wonders. She’ll be 15 this August 8th.”

15 years ago from 2005 when he spoke this – that is 1990 - Bob Jones claimed he found his 8th marble when Rick Joyner’s daughter ‘Amber’ was born. He does not say how long it took to find the seven marbles prior to 1990, nor what they were, not how long it took to find the subsequent four marbles to make up the 12 marbles since 1990 to ‘get his marbles back’ – nor even does he say whether the 12 marbles was all there was left to find.

Regardless, prophet Bob Jones in this prophecy, by his own accounts, is saying he was crazy until at least 1990 – and by all accounts some years after 1990, and is confessing he may still be crazy if 12 marbles are not the complete set. This is by his own admission.

Bob Jones, for some unfathomable reason, is all but diefied in the apostolic-prophetic movement. His key prophecies ’seen’ in the 1970s and 1980s by him, are key to what is being unfolded today in the attempted takeover of the church, and more than that, the world - but by Bob Jones’ own admission, these prophecies were recieved when he was crazy and he’d lost his marbles, and his own God said he was crazy. Hmm.

NB. Bob Jones really was in a mental institution (and by the sound of many of his prophecies, seeing little three foot ’angels’ and doppelgangers, and having demons punch him on the lip etc) it sounds like he ought to to still be in there, or at least medicated. He asserts that while in hospital, he was told by Jesus that to regain his sanity, he must either forgive or kill 12 people. That’s Bob Jones’ kind of Jesus, not the Bible’s!

I repeat again, this is the prophet that the apostolic-prophetic movement look up to, to be ‘fathered’ and ‘mentored’ by?!  This is the prophet upon whom the Toronto Blessing, Brownsville and the Lakeland Outpouring third wave is based?!  God help us – it really is crazy!

Scary quote from the Patricia King-ordained ‘prophetess’, Sharnael Wolverton of SwiftFire Ministries (named after one of Bob Jones’ angels, Swift):

“Bob Jones has fathered many many sons and daughters, numerous children, all across the continent, and right across the world.”

  1. Yikes, pretty creepy stuff!!! If you ask me, he has really lost his marbles…and NO I don’t think he found them! Yes most (insane) people that have murdered always say “God told me to do it”. I used to read a lot of true crime books and that is the same line used a lot! God always gets the bad rap! I believe god tells them that…but not our God, our Creator, our Father in heaven, but, the father of LIES!

  2. It sounds to me like he’s watched the movie “Hook” one too many times.

  3. Bob Jones not only “lost his marbles” but he also opened himself up to serious DEMONIC influence. The dopplegangers, the three foot “angels” All are demonic manifestations, if he is telling the truth. If they are true, he messed up at some point when he refused to see he needed a Holy God to deliever him from these things. Instead he CHOSE to look upon these things as something to make him “annointed” or “special.” He clutched them to himself as something from God. He chose to believe a lie over truth. He HAS become not so much mentally ill, but possesed by lying and deceiving spirits. May God truly open up his eyes and may Bob Jones repent.

  4. I read from the book called “From Witchcraft to Christ” that people involved in the supernatural or open to it, to put it mildly, and specifically Satanism, Witchcraft, Psychic work, the Occult tend to end up being institutionalised. If you obsess and tamper with demons and the kingdom of darkness then you are asking for trouble. They will torment your mind and bring you terror eventually the more you open up to them. In the initial time of recruitment, or getting accustomed to the kingdom of darkness, demons lure you to believe they are the good guys. If they don’t end up institutionalised, they will still be terrorised, and display what the medical world term schizophrenia, etc.

I am not an expert, but a keen learner from other people’s experience.

  5. SYMPTOMS,SYMPTOMS. The church in America is a sick church and peple like Jones and bently are just SYMPTOMS. The root cause for the decline of the church began in 1954 when the churches in America sold their birthright fo a bowl of pottage. For the full story go here: http://www.johnnorrisbook.com

  6. Miriam, I would like to read the “manifesto” of the promoters of The Manifest Sons of God doctrine. Do you have a specific article on your site, or a link, please. Thanks

  7. Does anyone have a clue what Bob Jones is talking about? It is simply ridiculous.

    Comment by Ben | July 26, 2008

  8. Edie – on the far right hand side there are categories, and if you go through Latter Rain and Joel’s Army you should find some of the article on this site on it that cover it.

  10. Redeemed Hippie – there is also the elitism here as he has claimed to find the marbles through the apostolic-prophetic movement,

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | July 26, 2008

  11. Peacefulhaven – Bob Jones claims when he converted that he suddenly went from hearing demons/the devil overnight to hearing angels/”God”…. just like that – which ain’t how God works. I do not recall hearing anything from him about repentence or deliverence.

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | July 26, 2008

  12. It is suspicious. There is that prime example of the girl, from the Bible, who lost her psychic/prediction abilities when a spirit was cast out of her by the apostles(Acts 16:17-19). Evil gifting/abilities are not transferrable and do not suddenly turn into light. The author of the book I referred to lost all her evil gifts/abilities, after she was delivered by God, and could not tap(see)into the supernatural, evil or good, anymore.

    Comment by peacefulhaven | July 27, 2008

  13. peacefulhaven - indeed. But many of them now prophesy that spiritual power is neutral and psychics are merely lost prophets prophesying for the wrong king. There is the IHOP testimony about the psychic ‘counselled’ by people from IHOP who apparent went from reading for the evil one to reading for God. And there is an article on this site about the Elijah List lost prophets who basically say the same thing as this, that spiritual gifting is inherent at birth etc….

  14. It amazes me that so called christians like yourself would even entertain or engage with this level of foolishness. When something like this surfaces, you should be aggressively envoking the POWER OF GOD thorugh PRAYER into the situation oppose to carnal speculation. All are guilty and if you are real, you know you missed it by more than unknown 50 miles. Just repent for the latter and move on in JESUS name. Don’t look back!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember this day too, is recorded in the sight of The Lord……….!!!!!!!!!

    Comment by Wayne | July 27, 2008

  15. Wayne, INVOKE? Ah, I get it. Another buzz word used by the other side. And exactly WHAT did we miss? If you suggest all of us here fall on our knees and pray for each and every one of these heretics, you are wrong. As of right now I do not feel led to pray for them. My prayer is that God would lift their whoreing skirts!

And what exactly is it that the rest of us have to repent from?

    Comment by redeemedhippie | July 27, 2008

  16. Wayne – if you stick to your present mind-set theology, you need to throw a lot of the OT prophet’s books away, as well as a fair few NT ones, as well as some of Jesus’ teaching – why not just chuck out your whole Bible if it makes you feel more ‘confortable’ and ‘loving’ and ’spiritual’?

Don’t you know you need prayer and the WORD. The early Christians weren’t perecuted for ‘praying’ Wayne.

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | July 27, 2008

  17. redeemedhippie – I totally get where you are coming from, but as balance, we should pray for our enemies.

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | July 27, 2008

  18. You are right, ETPW. I should pray for our enemies. Please pray that the Lord bring conviction to me as I truly have no desire to pray for anyone who I think may be purposely leading others away.

    Comment by redeemedhippie | July 27, 2008

  19. I understand and it can be a struggle – and there does need to be a balance as sometimes you know their hearts are hardened and they really are sons of perdition – but it does not need to be about feelings does it, but about faithfulness and obedience? I did not always feel “led” or have any desire to feed my babies’ during their night feeds either or to clean their bottoms, I wanted to sleep, but I did it! Ok, a bad and limited example! I wonder how Jesus prayed for Judas? Honestly? Interesting thought.

    Comment by endtimespropheticwords | July 27, 2008

  20. ETPW, YES! It is all about obediance! I knew that. I just don’t know how on earth I could have forgotten it. Just got hardened with all the deceit I see going on, I guess. Thank you! It is NOT about feelings! Another yoke bites the dust! Hallelujah!

    Comment by redeemedhippie | July 27, 2008

  21. redeemed,
Thats a good one…another yoke bites the dust!!! lol But so true….lately I’ve had a yoke or two “bite the dust!” Thank you JESUS!!!!!

  22. You know, I don’t think I could make up weird crap like this. I don’t think it’s possible to make up weird crap like this.

“I thought I had a most morbid imagination… but it appears I have not.”
    – Aliester Crowley, commenting on the antics of Jack Parsons & L Ron Hubbard, c 1947

He asserts that while in hospital, he was told by Jesus that to regain his sanity, he must either forgive or kill 12 people.

As long as Jesus didn’t loan him Benny Hinn’s Holy Ghost Machine Gun, I wouldn’t worry too much.

  23. from here, some people who should know better gush the following (it also sounds idolotrous) – http://www.etpv.org/2006/tgarep.html

“Bob Jones with wisdom from above – the prophetic father – pouring forth into our spirits gems – jewels – treasures mined from the Heart of Jesus. He wrapped us in robes, put rings on our fingers and sandals on our feet in the ‘spirit’ through his words of liberating counsel backed up with the spirit of Might.

Silence filled the room and people sat forward to hear a true elder at the gate of New England – speaking with insight from Above.”

  24. If common people cannot see how sick this Todd guy is, then they really need help. I’m watching this idiot on the television as I type this and I have to smile and shake my head at the gullible people who are falling for this crap. He acts like that Jim Carey (the comedian) but Jim is more sane than this freak.

  25. Let’s qll get naked and stand before the Lord…..hey let’s all do it in church!

Why not…if Bob Jones can have women do it in private why not us all do it in public??

Seriously….how much proof of a deranged man do you need??

    Comment by David | January 1, 2009

  26. I agree that some of these things could be false in their nature; however, the prophets in the bible did some pretty weird things. What would we think if a prophet today went into downtown and laid down naked on his side? I don’t agree with a lot of things said by these prophets, but we have to be care in calling prophets “false prophets” because prophets prophesy in part, the bible says, and some prophesy in presumption, that doesn’t make them a false prophet. All I am saying is be careful not to judge because if one is NOT A FALSE prophet then one could be guilty of blasphemy if it is truly a work of the Holy Spirit. Pray for them but don’t blast them.
