Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God's word

Joyce Meyer’s Home – Or One of Them

Take a tour of one  of Joyce Meyer’s 8,500 square feet waterfront homes that is currently up for sale for two million dollars here. Nice to know the ministry money is so well-stewarded, eh?

In an article in  July’s Charisma Magazine here, Joyce Meyer says: “As Christians, we need to encourage one another to live by godly standards and to resist the pull of the world…..”   Joyce has not been ‘resisting’ very hard by the looks of it.  But then she states what her ‘godly’ standards actually are: ”We must set high standards for what we wear, what we watch on TV, what we listen to, how we use our time, whom we associate with, and how we spend our money.”

So by that “high standards…. whom we associate with”,  one assumes we should no hang out with prostitutes, lepers, beggars and tax collectors?

Joyce Meyer certainly has high standards for what she wears and how she lives anyway. She fritters MINISTRY money away on not just luxury homes for her and her family, but on a lavish and gluttinous and self-centred lifestyle with (these include items in the ministry building):

$23,000 marble topped commode
$30,000 malachite conference table
$11,219 French clock
$19,000 pair of Dresden vases
$18,500 six French crystal vases
$8,000 Dresden porcelain depicting the Nativity
two $5,800 curio cabinets,
$5,700 porcelain of the Crucifixion
$5,200 pair of German porcelain vases
$14,000 custom office bookcase
$7,000 Stations of the Cross in Dresden porcelain
$6,300 eagle sculpture on a pedestal
$5,000 another eagle made of silver
$49,000 Meyer’s private office conference table and 18 chairs
$44,000 The woodwork in the offices of Meyer and her husband

Plus  numerous paintings purchased for $1,000 to $4,000 each.

In all, assessor’s records of the ministry’s personal property show that nearly $5.7 million worth of furniture, artwork, glassware, and the latest equipment and machinery fill the 158,000-square-foot building. The ministry also owned a fleet of vehicles with an estimated value of $440,000.

***

This is absolutely disgraceful! It would be bad enough if it were only her money that had paid for all these things, but a lot of this was MINISTRY money so to spend it on such frivalous things is even more sinful.

Compare what Joyce Meyer says and does with what the Bible says -

”Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” (I John 2:15-17)

“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Luke 16:13)

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19)

“Jesus .. though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”  (2 Corinthians 8:9)

“For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” (1 Timothy 6:7-10)

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or  “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6)

  1. For the record, the “commode” isn’t a toilet, it’s a chest of drawers.

What is she doing with a porcelain “Stations of the Cross”?? That’s from the Roman Catholic church doctrine.

  2. Joyce sometimes is okay. I like how she had to forgive her own father for abusing her and did it in hardwon obedience. The excesses, I don’t know what to say…

I just hope she didn’t invest in Thomas Kincaide “artwork”. Now that would be a real travesty…

  3. P.S. But I will say that the Joyce Meyers Amplified Bible that a friend gave me is absolutely unreadable and her notes are drek.

P.P.S. One night when I was freaking out a couple of years ago when my sister had been diagnosed with cancer (SHE WAS HEALED, BTW) — I could not sleep and could not think and was in agony.

A friend had given me a Joyce Meyers cd that I in snobbery thought I was too smart to listen to. Felt the Lord tell me at four AM to put it on.

I was ministered to by Joyce Meyers.. especially when she said that
The Enemy doesn’t care about your emotions or joy, particularly, but He wants to steal your Joy because that is your strength.

I’d never heard that before. Do have to thank Joyce for that.

  4. Thomas Kincaide?

  5. I thought it would be interested if she’s living in a trailer park and live according to the scripture-silence in church then it would lead me to think otherwise about her ministries. I don’t get any good impression from her ministries. How could she submit to her husband and preach to the congregation? It’s totally unscriptural. We must guard the scriptural way of preaching. Next thing, we would see gay person become a teleevangelist and being rich filthy lure so much ignorants into making this teleevangelist to live in a lavish lifestyle. All televangelists make me sick!

What?! Whatever you may think of Joyce (and I am NOT comfortable with her ‘excesses’, but have been blessed by her some of her teaching…to say otherwise would be a lie), she certainly does ’submit’ to her husband from what I can see. Your comments are a bit extreme.
Ps I apologise if YOU are living in a trailer park btw…

  9. Miriam – Thomas Kincaid is called the “painter of light”; he seems to have an artistry that causes a “light” effect in his paintings. Thing is, most of his works are similar (cottages, nature, etc.) and he’s very very prolific.

  10. >> Thomas Kincaid is called the “painter of light”; he seems to have an artistry that causes a “light” effect in his paintings. Thing is, most of his works are similar (cottages, nature, etc.) and he’s very very prolific.

LOL, at least he is not prophetic…

Joyce Meyer is nothing but a Biblical psychologist. Some of her stuff is good and is very helpful. But the big thing here is, the bible was never meant to be intertwined with psychology. why? because it detracts us away from the real truths in the bible. So instead of the truth and nothing but the truth as per genuine (untwisted) scripture you get the Joyce Meyers happy DIY teachings which contain for eg; 5 steps to living a happy life. The first 4 steps are about yourself and just to make it look biblical they’ll throw the last one a with reference to Jesus.

Pffff…there is nothing more irritating than a preacher who preaches psychology.

    Comment by Deborah | August 4, 2008

  11. Psychology is using man’s wisdom to figure out what makes humans tick, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — all without God.

As I have asked those who insist on the Bible/psychology pairing – Where is psychology in the Bible and why doesn’t GOD use it?

Comment by Simplicity In Christ | August 4, 2008

  12. The thing about Joyce Meyers is this: Just like the others in her camp, she does not cling to the cross or teach it. She denys the cross, like all the rest, when they add to the Word of God with their teachings. Pyschology in any form has no merit in christianity. The two are at odds with one another. One says “Love yourself.” The other says, “Deny yourself.” Guess which one is right. Only one is right. Psychology makes one so SELF focused and SELF centered. It too, is a cancer within the body of Christ!

  13. Elizabeth A,
Those in the self-centered prosperity cult such as this false teacher you admit to being blessed by teach that poverty is sin. Your condescending comment to Jeremiah points to your unbiblical blessing from this mammon worshipper. Are those living in trailer parks and homeless shelters beneath you? Are they unworthy of your love? Is this the mind of Christ? Your eye is bad.

  14. Joyce Meyers is Word of Faith- Under Kenneth (aka ‘Dad’) Hagin- same as Kenneth Copeland, Robert Tilton, Benny Hinn, etc. There are a lot of good teachers out there, but Jesus said it only takes a little leaen to leaven the whole loaf.

  15. Why?? Why? Why? Why does anyone care about her porcelein this or her gold that? Why?? How is it affecting you?? Does it really matter??? If so why?? WHy?? Many have experienced tremendous healing and liberation through her teachings….Whether we, YOU like it or not..she IS up there…being used by GOD……I know that if any one of you who “blast” her would have absolutely no problem with her if she sent you a m-i-l-l-i-o-n dollar check…you would change your views real quick…..and if your honest..you won’t deny so…

  16. Marisol – you betray your heart is as bent as hers towards fine things. I would not change my mind whether she sent me one cent or a billion cents – Joyce Meyer is greedy, selfish, lustful and sinful regarding money and is setting a terrible example and leading many, many astay. She also has some false teachings. But do you care as long as you get “blessed”?

IT IS MINISTRY MONEY that people donate to GOD that has been spent on much of this tacky stuff to boost an obscene and obnoxious self centred and mammon driven lifestyle – she robs God, she truly robs God, not to mention his people. Joyce Meyer is a thief and robber. But do you care? Who does, really?

  19. Darren,
(this is my third attempt at a response to you…I somehow lost the first two so I hope they don’t all appear on here!)

You misunderstand my comment. I thought Jeremiahs tone was sarcastic, and his comment mysogenistic.

I don’t understand why you said : ‘your eye is bad’?

You know what? I don’t agree with prosperity preaching. I have many fiends and family who struggle financially. I don’t have a lust for possessions and material gain. Nevertheless I have been blessed by Joyce Meyer, and so have many of those friends and family.

There may well be aspects of her teaching which cause concern.Indeed, after what I learned earlier on this site, I had to reconsider my support. However, I have never personally heard her preach that poverty is a sin. I don’t believe that I have taken in any unbiblical doctrine, and pray that God will reveal it if I have.

I’ve had my say about Joyce and intend to email her with my own personal thoughts directly. Calling it a day now.

    Disappointed though, Darren. Bit harsh.

“Touch not my annointed…….” Who are to we judge – I think that job is already spoken for!

    Comment by Maggie | August 5, 2008

  21. As long as Joyce Meyer stays away from the NAR (and I don’t know if she has or not) I’m not that worried about her. Congress has investigated her finances and i’ve seen someone else with the listings on her house for sale (or is it houses?) The Lord will discipline her. She does have some understanding of the Cross and sin, albeit a bit too ‘NASCAR Christian” if you know what I mean.

Well what I mean is she appeals to a certain American subculture. Not too far off to say it is a sort of “WalMart” cultural Christian.

That said, I really don’t have that much to castigate her for. Now, if she got into being a Cindy Jacobs kind of “Prophetess”? (I.E. Jezebel) Then I would have a a real problem with her, because then she would have to start toeing the Apostolic Prophetic cult lies about how prophecy is always conditional, that she has the Old Testament Office of the Prophet, and she has some “new wine” to be added to the New Wine already poured out for us.

As for Thomas Kincaide or Kincade or however you spell his name. “Light artistry” or “artist of Light” makes him sound a bit more grandiose than he is.

He is an artist for the Walmart Generation. There is nothing “Christian” about him, his “Ministry” or his scandal ridden pyramid schemes to hawk his “art”. And there is nothing “Christian” about his “art” either.

Speaking of this WalMart Christianity and all this American greed, here is a dream I had about the Apostolic Prophetic on June 21st:

The Lord gave me a strange dream today. In it, I was chasing down some sort of evil spirit around the side of a large American suburban house. As I ran by, I barely noticed the house had a squared off part of its “foundation” as an addition to it and fenced off neatly. I ran past it, intent on catching the demon.

As I went ahead to round the corner in pursuit, the demon was just out of sight and out of reach — and the Lord said:

“Stop. You need to know WHY this entity is doing this in order to truly “chase” it.”

He took me back to the ‘addition” of the foundation added to the house. And He pointed me back to where the fenced in part of had been jutted in. The fencing matched the rest of the house and looked very normal to the rest of the landscaping. It was not anything you would notice as being unusual. It was just an extension of the foundation with a common solid wood fence around it. Something that would “hide” a water heater or pool equipment or a work area.

But there was nothing inside of it but an extension of the foundation of the house. It had no function and even though it wasn’t terribly obtrusive, there was no purpose for it to be there.

I could not figure it out but I knew enough about the Lord to ask: “Why would someone add to the foundation already laid?” “Why would someone dare add doctrines of men, like the Kansas City Prophets or Bill Hamon or Rick Joyner or Bob Jones or Chuck Pierce or the Mormons to the Foundation already laid, as Scripture is sealed?”

I asked myself. I kept thinking about it. Thought about demons in hell under the earth and under this house for some reason and then thought about a scripture I don’t normally think about, have barely used before. Something like — They don’t keep to their proper positions in the heavenlies — have gone outside the bounds of where they should go. I remember years ago realizing that Satan’s sin was that he did not stick to his assigned position. did not stick to their own habitation or place of dwelling. Something weird and Satanic like that. I did realize that this extended foundation had a correlation to something done in the Spiritual realm. Something like the principle of “what is bound on earth is bound in heaven” or “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The correlation of what happens in the spiritual realm to actual activity or action on earth. I guess, some sin.

Later that next day, I realized what the “addition” to the American Suburban Dream House was… it was a phony tolerance of anything that got in people’s way of GETTING that American Dream House. It is the tolerance we have of our sin, we all want Joyce Meyer’s “American Dream House”.

I suddenly realized this was the reason for the prophetic lies of the Apostolic Prophetic movement. Just like how Todd Bentley preaches “against poverty” so he and his family and ministry can buy that house in Lakeland. We tolerate these liars in the name of God because we Americans are scared that God is not going to give us that “American Dream House.” So we add to our beliefs, we add to the foundation already laid, a little prosperity doctrine here, a little greed over here. C Peter Wagner and Chuck Pierce and Rick Joyner — we “tolerate” their lies against God because we don’t want to rock the boat, we want to make sure we will get our little slice of the American Family Dream House.

I believe God gave me that dream to show me the roots of WHY people are so enamored with the Apostolic Prophetic Liars. We want a “fat” Christianity.

We want our American Dream House but we are willing to tolerate Moslems, Gays, False Prophets, whatever … as long as we get that big suburban house.

It has become an idol. Fifty years ago, the American Dream Home was a sign and symbol of God’s blessing on this country. It was a blessing given to a nation that was “Christian” for all intents and purposes. We had sacrificed to rid the world of Hitler. We had come through the Great Depression with faith.
The American Dream House was God’s gift to this country, but now it is an idol.

The reason I saw that demon of the Apostolic Prophetic outside the American Dream House, that had an unneeded foundation added to it, is that we no longer stick to our Christian foundation. We add a little abortion here, gay marriage there, tolerance of atheists and Moslems here. We no longer call sin , what it is, sin. No wonder the stock market is tumbling on the Mortgage crisis. This idol of the gift instead of GIver of the gift, is America’s downfall.

American IS mystery Babylon. That is what the dream is about. It is a mystery that the most Christian nation ever created has turned around to make an idol of her own blessings in God. This is the “mystery” of American Babylon and why America will come under major judgment. The “judgment” of making an idol of American Family Values is a major part of the Apostolic Prophetic Cult. Rick Joyner and friends are well-versed in American History and a seeming love for this country. But God is a jealous God and He will not stand for idolatry, even idolatry of the blessings He has given.

It is said that America is not in the Bible. Well, whatever one thinks of A A Allen, he did have a vision while on the Empire State Building in 1954, and he saw terrorist attacks and even anthrax like attacks. He said the Lord gave him about America:

As the vision spread before my eyes, and I viewed the widespread desolation
brought about by the terrific explosions, I could not help thinking,
“While the defenders of our nation have quibbled over what means of defense to use,and neglected the only true means of defense, faith and dependence upon the true and living God, the thing which she greatly feared has come unto her!

How true it has proven that

“Except the Lord keep The city, The watchman watches but in vain.”

Then as the noise of the battle subsided, to my ears cam this quotation from Joel, the second chapter, “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
    END A A Allen’s Vision

There has never been a people like America, before or after. I believe the judgment of Lakeland IS the judgment of the End Time Delusion. We are “mad for our idols” — mad for prosperity, mad for our American Dream Home, unwilling to lay down our lives for freedom as the Founding Fathers did for this country. Indeed, even Abe Lincoln “laid his life down” for this country. Where are Christians like this, in this day and age? What happened to us? We deserve the lies of the prosperity teachers, the Apostolic Prophetics, we deserve the wrath of God for forgetting Him and making an idol of American Family Values.

Lord have mercy on Your own.

  22. Elizabeth,
The bad eye (Matthew 6:23; see also Matthew 20:15, where correct translation from Greek is “Or is your eye bad because I am good?”) is a worldly eye that sees material reward as the highest good. The bad eye measures light by it’s glinting off earthly treasure, and thus fills a person with darkness. In this darkness, one stores treasure here on earth, enslaved to material gain without even knowing it. One cannot serve both God and mammon, for mammon will blind a person (such is the darkness it produces–anxieties, worries, constant unfulfilled lust) to God and His purposes. Loving and serving God for His infinite value, and for His glory alone, puts mammon in it’s rightful place–freely flowing through one’s ungrasping hands to the neighbor in need. This is the work of the child of God in His Kingdom. This is the flow of Christ’s words in Matthew 6:19-24. Read also Deuteronomy 15; there will always be the poor among us, but none should be in need in the household of God, for his wealthy brothers and sisters know the mercy and kindness and love of their Lord, and live their love for Him and all created in His image by graciously giving from the bounty He has provided them.
Now look around the world at our brethren shining the light of Christ into the darkness around them, knowing the full cost of confessing His name. Beaten, imprisoned, impoverished, murdered and leaving behind widows and children without means of support–in seeing these beloved children of God, how then can any here go on dancing around the golden calf with these mammon worshippers? Our Lord in His grace provided many warnings against teachers such as tolerated in this day, who by their deeds deny Him and His words, and in covetousness make shipwreck of their faith, lead others astray, and through their misdeeds the way of truth is blasphemed.
The teachers one sits under speaks much of their own heart.
I pray you will truly reconsider supporting any mammon-worshipping heretics. Joyce Meyers is of the word of faith camp, which is entrenched in gross heresy–but her psychology teaching tickles the ears, and she’s just so personable! She has also shown herself to be a chameleon when her teaching has been questioned. Come away. Read the Bible. Cling to Christ. Be blessed. I am praying also for your family, that they may come to know Him. From what you have written, our situations there are not so different.
Grace and peace to all who love Christ in sincerity.

    Comment by Darren | August 6, 2008

  23. Oh, Maggie–not the “touch not” ploy! Do you read the Bible, or do you only accept blindly what makes you feel good when you hear it? Read 1 John 2:20 about the annointing of all who love Christ. Then flip back and read 2:4 in that same book. Where does Christ Jesus command His followers to keep their treasure? “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth…” DO NOT. Sounds like a command. And John tells us that the one who says he knows Christ yet does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.
You justify greed for you do not know the One from Whom all blessings flow. He owns all–we are mere stewards and servants. However your mammon is procured, you must be given a new heart to handle it rightly–that it not lead to blindness and spiritual death. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Lay up treasures in heaven–glorify God in gracious and sacrificial giving from all that is given you. By this He is truly glorified among unbelievers, by your giving in love, not by your greedily grasping and getting all your sick fleshly mind desires in this dying world. Oh, how the flesh rants and rails and seeks justification for covetousness and greed–not understanding the enslavement it lies under!
Take care that the grapes you gather aren’t from thornbushes.

  24. Darren,
Thankyou for your response/explanation, and also for your prayers. I do not listen to or read Joyce anymore, but still cannot deny that she has blessed (and, more to the point, helped) people that I know. Sorry but I can’t say otherwise. As I am Britsh, I confess I find many of the American ‘televangelists’ OTT and they make me cringe at times because the glitzy image is not what it should be about! Joyce is in no way the worst example.
I know nothing excuses bad doctrine/heresy/greed etc, and I know ‘a little leaven’ applies here.
I just get a little tired of ‘rubbishing’ these people. Just don’t have the stomach for it at the moment.
Now if we’re talking Messrs Copeland or Parsley…….

  25. You can read Joyce Meyer’s financial reports on her website. It tells you how much is received in offerings and how much is spent in each area of her ministry.

In the letters at the end of the report you can read this (copied and pasted) :
“We have examined the assertion of management of Joyce Meyer Ministries, Inc., that during the
year 2007, compensation approved by the Board of Directors and paid to Joyce Meyer consisted
of salaries, including taxable fringe benefits, of $250,000; a housing allowance and contributions
to retirement plans. We also examined the assertion that during 2007, gross profits received by
the Ministry from the sale of Joyce Meyer’s books and honorariums received by the Ministry for
Joyce Meyer’s speaking engagements exceeded her total compensation stated above.”

The accountant also agrees that the ministries assertion that 83% of total expenses were used
for outreach and programs directed at reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is fairly stated.

I’m not sure if you can do this in USA or not but in Canada you can view all the charitable organizations tax returns online at Revenue Canada’s website. This includes indivdual churches.

This post is not to show support for or against Joyce Meyer’s Ministries. I’ve been helped by her TV teaching a few times but I’ve never sent her an offering. I have bought one of her books.

I believe that the mega ministries are coming to an end. They do have some good things but they are far from perfect. I’ve been helped at times by Joyce Meyer’s ministry but by far the most help I’ve ever received is when I sit down with my bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach me.

These minstries take a ton of money to operate and they don’t seem anything like the ministies that you read about in the bible. In the bible when they were sent out they were told not to carry money with them. Offerings were taken to help needy churches. Nobody got rich through preaching the word. Nobody cared about getting rich. They cared about the true riches.

Like so many others I dont know how to feel about Joyce Meyers ministries. But if you believe in God and you know the word and you have listen to Joyce Meyers its hard to believe that what is being said about her, it boils down to this is she a fake? No one has come right out and said that she is but the comments imply that she is. Honestly with her knowledge and how she references to the Bible in her books as well as her broadcast teachings God has truly provided her with a gift. Being a women or not. So many of us were brought up that a woman is not to teach to men. I was brought up in that fashion myself. But where in the bible does it say exactly that? I like so many others im sure have gone through some deep tragic moments in my life and with the help of, God first, Joyce’s teaches and books have help me to see my way through and is still helping myself and im sure many others today. Yes her conferences are show BUt so is Billy Grahams for all these years. No comparison to me really its just the point. You love the Lord and believe in the bible which I believe Joyce Meyers does. If she is a false teacher of God she is a great actress. From the bottom of my heart I hope and pray for her own sake she is not as self absorbed as others have portayed her to be.

  30. Joyce has certainly made an industry out of preaching and granted she has wealth, but is that a bad thing? Where does it say in the bible that one can’t be rich? Are people just jealous that she is successful? She’s not more successful than a businessperson or a CEO. If she were poor, how would she reach her audience? Would she be able to positively influence as many people preaching from a small church?

    Comment by Mariel | October 5, 2008

  31. Even though Joyce Meyer is gifted and she does have some good teaching doesn’t mean that everything she says and does is right.

When you think about the fact that much of her wealth comes from people who are giving to her with the intent that the money is being used to preach the gospel, does it seem right to you if that money gets used extravagantly? Does she really need to take donated money and buy a $30,000 conference table? That seems excessive in the extreme to me.

Most of the people who are giving to her ministry probably make 1/10th the amount that she does, if not less. It can be argued that much of the income is royalties from her books and that’s probably true but those books are a product of her gift of teaching so the income from them belongs to God too. I don’t think it’s right to charge people for ministry regardless if it’s by preaching or by books. Why not sell the books at cost and live a more modest lifestyle like the majority of people she is ministering to?

I think she’s been a terrible steward of all that’s been given to her ministry and that her life is a total contradiction to scriptures like these.

    Matthew 10
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

    John 13
13Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

    John 12
25He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

    I Timothy 6
    3If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

  32. I see what the others have to say about Joyce but I disagree with some of their harsh judgements.

For one, I listen to her quite often and she preaches alot about holiness and salvation!!! She preaches about the Kingdom of God. God’s grace and not our works, our righteousness in Christ, staying connected to the Vine, etc. Her teachingzs have made a difference in my life. I just don’t know how you determine otherwise.

She is a blessing in my life, just like this website. When I was watching other programs no real “meat” was there but Joyce preaches the Word of God and it never returns void. Praise God!

She hardly teaches “prosperity”. She may mention it but I’ve never heard her say “sow a seed for this or that” or “poverty and ill health are ungodly”. I have never heard it. In fact, she often shares about her struggles with breast cancer and even how she had to handle not giving too much money to her kids!!

She does have an expensive taste. I guess you could argue that she lives too lavishly but didn’t Abraham, Job, Solomon? Paul made a choice/decision to give up his portion and it was probably quite neccessary then.

I believe a more important question would be IF she were required to give it up whether or not she could (like the rich young ruler). If God asked you to give up everything, would you be able to?

Whether or not you want to admit, her books sells like wild fire and probably make up a significant majority of her personal income! And before you go overboard about her wooks, they have been some og the more helpful books I’ve ever read.

She has a gift of teaching… I would probably say she has a spiritual gift because of how effectively it’s done through God’s grace. So profound yet so simple! God bless her for being a blessing to the Body of Christ. It’s just like Miriam’s blessing to the body as a Prophetess.

Who says you can’t earn a living from your gift? When teachers teach in schools, or doctors heal are those not gifts. When a business man opens many franchises of a store, isn’t that comparable to evangelists starting several churches? We often think of gifts as being used only within the 4 walls of a church. Are they not meant to effectively reach people everywhere for Christ. What would you have that Joyce be middle class just because you are! Didn’t God give Solomon both the gift of wisdom and wealth. Give me a break, just annoying really!

I’m not wealthy but I see alot of rich and they fund porno, gambling, all manner of evil. What does the Body do? – They try to tell you “God wants you to be poor or middle class, right?”

I’m so tired of judgemental Christians who are BROKE and have a false sense of humility because of this. They are the types that figure that because they give the cup of water they are somehow superior to someone who gives an entire gallon (just because they have fancy houses, cars, etc.)

Some of God’ people will be rich, in fact filthy rich and they probab;y have a much more sincere heart towards God that you and me! That’s why a lot of us don’t move forward because of deep roots of pride and envy. Ask God to reveal that to you. Her ministry does so much worldwide.

As for her extravagance, let God deal with her about that. If it’s from a heart of greed and idolatry, surely God will convict her. Remember when you had your own issues, didn’t God convict you? But from what I see she has a heart for God and the things of God.

    Comment by Jennice | November 15, 2008

  33. Jennice – I hear you and agree with a lot of what you say. I think there is a balance to be reached in our sewing and reaping. Still, I do have a problem with asking for a love gift, and in return you will receive whoever’s new book in return (makes me feel like I’m buying a gift from God.) They should just say, “My new book is… and is for sale for ….” They could add at that time that a love gift to support the ministry would be appreciated. I agree, though, that we should be very careful not to be proud of our poverty and our “sacrifices” to God.

I do studies with Kay Arthur. One time during the programs they ask for support, but it is never with a promise of anything in return. It is a simple request for support for tv time. Wherever we glean, I believe we should also sew as the Lord leads so that ministry can continue on. Just my opinion. Blessings.

  34. ABOUT THE WAY THE TITHES WERE DIVIDED:
I found in the internet a study done by a retired pastor from Brazil who also is a lawyer, about this subject!
He came to the conclusion that the priest received only 0,2%
    Here is his conclusion:
For the person who brought the tithe – 2%
    For the levite – 2%
    For the stranger – 2%
    For the orphan – 2%
    For the widow – 2%
    TOTAL – 10%
THEN: The levite would give the priest 10% of his portion, wich would be 0.2%.

I personally don’t have a problem in offering 10% of my income to the Lord but I am no longer giving the whole amount to one person.
After all it looks like most preachers are more interested in building up their own palaces and their own kingdom than in building up the kingdom of God!
I used to attend a mega church and I was surprised when the media reported that they (the church)had only given over 200.00 that year to charity!
I thinhk the reason why Christians keep giving to those “wolves”is because they don’t have any idea how they live!
I am taking some of that money and sponsoring a poor child!
I believe that when God blesses us, is with the intention that we will also bless others!
The name of the Pastor in Brazil, is:
VENEFREDO BARBOSA VILAR (I have been in touch with him) but the article is in Portuguese which I understand.

  35. When the temple was built the finest materials were being used. This was for the purpose of worship. I believe if a preacher is ministering to people, their office should be pleasant and the environment should be comfortable and beautiful – and moreover – inviting. And for their personal home, the same applies. However, if it’s just for themselves, then there’s nothing wrong with them having fine things, as long as their hope is not in the perishing things of the world. We should not judge people by their outward appearances, but by their actions. What matters most is not what people have, but how they respond when unfavorable situations happen to them.

Still, it’s much better if in our personal lives if we have much, we ought to use our excess to serve others. What benefit do we have if our brother in Africa is dying of starvation and the homeless who have no eyes of hope need a dish of food yet we have things on our shelves that really do not benefit anyone, but are just nice for the eyes. If we have much in the ministry we ought to use it to serve others. Yet at the same time, we ought to treat the temple – the church – of God with respect and build it with the finest materials. It’s not a homey environment to sit and watch entertainment; it’s the holy place of God which should be treated with reverance and respect.

To protect ourselves, it’s best to pray like Proverbs 30:

    7 “Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:

    8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the LORD ?’
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

  36. I am disapointed to read this about Joyce Meyer. Abraham was rich, so was King Solomon among others. It is clear to me from what I read in the Word that Being “whole” means in all facets of life. Gods perfect will is that we be “whole” but If Joyce uses the funds sent in by donars for her ministry for all this then I believe that it is wrong. I feel that Joyce should live within the means of her sales of her ministry goods such as her books, tapes and such. I think a lot of her teaching ability myself. May God grant Joyce the grace and mercy that we all need before our Lord God every day.

    Comment by Eileen | February 8, 2009

  37. Eileen

How can you then explain that some people in Israel at the same time others were being blessed with abundant wealth, were humble servants or widows – they were not all rich, or kings? Did they have less faith?!

Or what of the apostles who were also poor or had to at least continually work for their living – did they have less faith than you do?

The Lord rebuke you for claiming that ‘wholeness’ is linked to extravagent wealth – especially when that wealth is from the profits of ‘ministry’ [teaching false things] and making merchandise of God’s people!

This belief is appalling. You grieve God in propagating it.

How do you also explain Joyce Meyer’s recent cost cutting in the ministry at large – where is her faith?! Why isn’t prosperity teaching working for her now. She evidently suffers like everyone else in the recession.

  39. All the false ones are in trouble including Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the nation’s largest Christian TV network, which has laid off workers and scrambled to fill programming holes as T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer and other ministries cut costs by producing fewer shows.

May they cease to exist in this economic judgment!

    Comment by Walter | February 8, 2009

  40. It is difficult to detect a difference between discerning, judging, and trashing, in the collective postings about Joyce Meyer. May I remark upon clothing and furnishings?

Recently Joyce revealed that when she began her ministry, she was buying her children’s clothing at yard sales. Now she can buy enough quality clothing (think of the logistics, folks!) for her busy life and ministry.

I happen not to need a large or high-quality wardrobe. But the mere difference in wardrobe needs does not brand me or Joyce as better or worse in the eyes or the work of our Lord. It is perfectly fine that Joyce, in the local, regional, national and international public eye, should represent our Lord so beautifully while I, most often seen in the grocery store, can get away with my jeans. It’s fine, folks, for Joyce to dress well and to have enough clothing that she doesn’t have to call in naked for some engagement because the one good outfit is in the dryer or at the cleaners!!!!! (Think of the logistics!)

I don’t know what to conclude about the furnishings of her home and office, but I think along several lines… when I think about our Lord’s work being done in those places and the unlimitable magnificence of the Blessed Trinity who is the source of all, I can consider that no place is too humble or too grand for our Lord Who is at the same time the most humble and the Most High. Listen to Joyce over several years and hear when she is appropriately confident and when she is sharing that she is aware of perceived shortcomings. Joyce is humble even when she is in a fine setting filled with lovely things.

God owns it all anyway. He owns the finished products and the tools and raw materials used to produce them. Before the world was created, God chose each person who participated in the making of these home and office appointments and He cares about their livelihood and their well-being. How many people were supported in employment because of Joyce’s selections in home and office furnishings? Perhaps Joyce made it possible for some person somewhere to have a job and to have the opportunity to have some money with which to take care of him/herself or even a family!

Finally, keep in mind that no one ever is obliged to send or give money to any ministry. God loves a cheerful giver.

The descendants of Japheth, God said, “will inhabit Palestine.” And they did – in 1948.

  42. Joyce Meyer is walking in obediance to God. So therefore she is reaping what she sows. This woman helped me get my life back from the devil. Just by watching her on TV reading her books, listening to her dvd’s and cd’s., and going to her conferences. It’s been 3 years and I’ve learned so much. I quit smoking, I quit drinking, I lost 40 pounds, I finally married the man I had been with for 6 years. I study the Bible everyday in some form or fashion.
I had been fired from a job of 15 years due to excessive absences. I found out I was fired at the Dr. office when they told me my insurance was cancelled. Now I have a dream job makeing 3 times the amount I was before with less hours and I love it. My rate of pay goes up every 3rd quarter. I’ve learned from Joyce how important it is to Tithe. I tithe ten percent of everything I make and the results are amazing. Joyce just shows us the truth in the Bible and gives us examples so that we can apply those same principles to our lives. Joyce Meyer makes the Bible easy to understand. It is very obvious to me that all the comments that are negitive about her are from people who have never heard her teach/preach. I have a question for you? Are you making anything better for anyone by Judging Joyce’s Ministry? You can find at the bottom of her website
EVERY PENNY THAT IS SPENT IN HER MINISTRY. Seek the truth. Then you can get on with bearing much fruit.(Stop judging, so that you won’t be judged, because the way that you judge others will be the way that you will be judged, and you will be evaluated by the standard with which you evaluate others.)
You want to talk about her extreme wealth? Well, Where is YOUR fruit?
Matthew 7:16 “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
This is a message saying…. yes.. This woman of faith is one you can follow. She is fruitful. (I am part of her fruit) because I am on fire for Jesus and I want to change consistantly until My King comes to get me. What about that fruit… and the fruit that I bring by being in love with Jesus openly and being a good example. Joyce’s Ministry has a domino effect. The devil hates her. But the good news is… Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Joyce Meyer Ministries is bearing much fruit. They are helping heal the world. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Jamies 1:27
God knows whats in your heart when the world cannot see. I imagine Joyce loves the girly things the lipstick and manicures, she loves shopping and finding things 75%off. She even likes to buy people she doesnt know things in the mall if she is lead to. God gives us the things He see’s in our hearts that we desire when we are obedient. Joyce will NOT watch tv or movies that have junk in them. I believe she lives in the world but she is not of the world.

She will continue to succeed and she will continue to steach us how to change into the body of Christ we are ment to be. And friends….the ones who would like to keep up with her fruit that she is bearing MUCH of. It’s good to see that someone is doing it right. Go ask her for the shirt off her back… because she will give it to you.
Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

  44. I think that if God blessed myself with tons of money I would believe that I am being rewarded and that prosperity is His will, big prosperity I mean.

The fact is that many people around the world are just as obedient to God as Joyce and they are not rich. They too are rewarded by God for their obedience but their reward is not riches. It comes in the form of peace, joy, or just plain contentment.

Although I like Joyce I think her obedience is played up too much. So many Christians are just as obedient yet not given riches like her. But God is still pleased with them.

And many Christians with good hearts have ministries that will never be big like hers. That too is not because they aren’t as obedient or pleasing as she is, it’s because God’s will is different for us all.

I like Joyce but am tired of hearing how obedient she is. How pleasing to God she is. I don’t like lifting people up so much.

I am so sick of the prosperity gospel; it has ruined our country and churches.

  46. Not about Joyce Meyer per se, but a gneeral comment.

There was such a huge push in the last decade or so to build, build, build for the “Kingdom of God” – which could come from the Lord to prepare for times to come, BUT, if Him, He’d give the wisdom for the timing as well. Almost twice the amount was spent by ministries saying they have a prophetic annointing on buildings, etc. when they could have waited and now, with real estate where it’s at would have been the wise time to move forward.

So, is it safe to say that where a ministry “misses it” and doesn’t acknowledge such, that said ministry perhaps doesn’t hear from God? Or is that just being critical?

  47. CONCERNING JOYCE MEYER; I have watched and listened to this lady for many years. And I must say with discernment that I have seen so many questionable sermons. I was unaware of the Meyer back-forty. There was a time every chance she was on the tube I was there. But honestly today I only watch her when there is nothing better to choose from. LORD please forgive what could be called judgement. But there may very well be two life-styles going on here. And one is definetly not what I am looking for for my spiritual education. I feel the whole picture has flaws, but dare not call even call a black kettle black. Most of her tithes and offerings come from those who only hear the TV. BUT MY PRAYERS ARE FOR LORD JESUS FIRST. May the LORD find us all worthy of a place at the feet of our SAVIOR, LORD JESUS. AMEN.

  51. In regards to Joyce Meyer.

There once was a time that I was concerned about big time preachers with their million dollar teeth and their exquisite clothing, jewelry, expensive vehicals etc. You know that never seemed to bother Jesus – even the rich young ruler approached Jesus and Jesus loved him, but at the core of the matter Jesus challenged his dependency on wealth and possessions. I am sure that Jesus loves all of these people, regardless as to how wealthy, or how extravegant their lives are. The day will come when our money will be gone and all we can do is depend on God to carry us through the most difficult period in the history of the world.

As far as what Joyce does with her money, is of little concern, she stands before God and is accountable for her life and the way she conducts it. We too, stand before God and are accountable for the way we conduct our affairs. I think that exposing Joyces personal possessions is an ungodly thing for us to do and we stand before God, who made Joyce and everybody else in his image. Please don’t be overly scrupulous with pointing out a speck in the eye of another believer, there may well be a log in your own eye.

This article was poorly put together and is of bad taste, let’s lift our game here and stop unnecessarily dragging people through the mud. God knows how to deal with his children and he will do it his own way and in his own time.

  54. Enjoy your rewards now – on earth. The time will come when the question will be asked:

“As my servant, why did you choose a toilet seat over my sick children?”

Money is not the root of all evil but the LOVE of money. Just like a slick politician, salesman or con artist – you always follow the money trail.

There is a difference in establishing and proclaiming yourself a servant of God, only to funnel funds for your earhtly rewards. How could you face Jesus? Would Jesus be impressed with the tax free living of the compund, houses, luxury cars, boats, vacations, planes, jewelry, clothes…….

My bet would be an Jesus that would rebuke this ministry as he did with the money changers at the temple.

To the person that kept stating think of the logistics – I am – the logistics of biblical teaching. Christian ministries are to be Christ like. Would someone please tell me how much money Jesus promised people that went into the ministry? I beleive he taught self denial, sacrifice and the pitfalls of fololowing him. By no means do I think people should be destitute, but lving a life of excess luxury from the teachings of Christ to receiving donations is contrary to the purple bible some hold in their hands.

A good example of a humble servant that puts his money back into the ministry is our very own Larry Rice. If anything, the Myer’s ministry should buy this man a new updated suit! As long as there are fools who feel good about giving to The PTL club and Rev. Ikes, there will always be a medicine show with a new medicine man selling the same old tonic.

Here’s the other pitfall for all of you people folowing the piper, quit saying you cannot judge. You can always judge a behavior when it contradicts the teachings and ACTIONS of Jesus. Do not get confused on using your brain on this type of “judging” versus God’s final judgement; otherwise, we need to keep our minds and mouths shut when it comes to murder, rape and child molestation.

I get a big kick out of “Christians” who will tolerate just about anything to feel good, keep the status quo or who knows why. Churches and their so called Christian members risk little of themselves while creating a haven for child molesters, con artists, and pro-infanticide supporters.

Instead of brokering a deal on a multi million dollar mansion for your family, instead of deciding between a BMW or Benz, besides avoiding taxes and breaking the law, besides deciding between a home depot toilet seat versus what you bought, what about holding yourself and ytour church accountable to God.

When I read the scripture Jesus’ top five priorities:

    1. Get money from Judas
    2. Buy Mansion
    3. Buy golden chariot
    4. Buy all my family mansions and chariots
    5. Give some money to the needy, and use this to get more money to buy

Now notice, carefully, the very next thing which immediately followed our Lord’s reference to the two ways in Matthew 7: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing—but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15). Why does this come in next? Who are the “false prophets” against which a serious soul needs to be on his guard?

They are those who teach that Heaven may be reached without treading the Narrow Way! They are those who loudly insist that eternal life may be obtained on much easier terms. They come in “sheep’s clothing”—they appear (to undiscerning souls) to exalt Christ, to emphasize His precious blood, to magnify God’s grace. BUT they do not insist upon repentance; they fail to tell their hearers that nothing but a broken heart which hates sin, can truly believe in Christ. They do not teach that a saving faith is a living one which purifies the heart (Acts 15:9) and overcomes the world (1 John 5:4).

These “false prophets” are known by their “fruits,” the primary reference being to their “converts”—the fruits of their fleshly labors. Their “converts” are on the Broad Road, which is not the path of open wickedness and vice—but of a religion which pleases the flesh! It is that “way which seems right unto a man—but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12). Those who are on this Broad Road (this way which “seems right” to so many), have a head-knowledge of the Truth—but they walk not in it. The “Narrow Way” is bounded by the commandments and precepts of Scripture; the Broad Road is that path which has broken out beyond the bounds of Scripture. Titus 2:11-12 supplies the test as to which “way” we are in: “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.”

Probably many of you are saying, “I thought Christ was the Way to the Father” (John 14:6). So He is! But how?

First, in that He has removed every legal obstacle, and thereby opened a way to heaven for His people.

Second, in that He has “left us an example that we should follow HIS steps.” The mere opening of a door does not give me entrance into a house—I must tread the path leading to it, and mount the steps. Christ has, by His life of unreserved obedience to God, shown us the Way which leads to Heaven: “When He puts forth His own sheep, HE goes before them—and the sheep follow Him” ( John 10:4).

Third, in that He is willing and ready to bestow grace and strength to walk therein. Christ did not come here and die—in order to make it unnecessary for me to please and obey God. No indeed! “He died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live unto themselves—but unto Him who died for them!” (2 Corinthians 5:15). “He gave Himself for our sins—that He might deliver us from this present evil world” (Galatians 1:4). “He gave Himself for us—that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14). Christ came here to “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21); and if you are not now delivered from the power of sin, from the deceptions of Satan, from the love of the world, and from the pleasing of self—then you are NOT saved. May it please the God of all grace to add His blessing.

  59. @Priya, the Lord is not paying Joyce. People who are asked to donate money pay her.

  60. In reply to Priya (comment 56) – It is not possible to blaspheme against Joyce because she is not God. Not even a little god.

  61. I have been reading these post about Joyce Meyers and thinking if some are a little harsh on her. I don’t see the gift of counseling in the gifts of the spirit, but she does teach practical application of scripture in your personal life. I don’t think she has always been where she is now.

    1 Corinthians 4:4-6

4For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

6And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

    Mark 10:29-31

29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

31But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

So she has a reward promised her. So what? Shall I accuse the Lord of being evil because of his gifts? She really isn’t about the gospel than she is more about the building up of the body.

What I do take issue with is merchandising the things of the Lord. I can judge that, but then again can I? Have any of you bought a book lately? Well, buy the truth and sell it nought. I think I’m in the clear so far, though I have bought some lies too.

    1 Corinthians 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

    Matthew 10:7-9

7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

    ut oh….never mind

    Luke 22:34-36 (King James Version)

34And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

35And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

36Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

I look at it this way, if you are getting paid to do your job for the Lord are you a servant or hierling? We all know what happens with the hierling when things hit the fan.

Men are not where you should be putting your eggs in their baskets anyways. The things of the Lord are freely given to us. Just ask.

    Luke 12:31-33

31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

32Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

So if Jesus is with you, again you will lack nothing. Your purse is never empty, no one can steal what you have or corrupt it.

Joyce works will be made manifest.

  62. Hello. Joyce Meyers fans. I would watch Joyce Meyers on tv, Read alot of her books UNTIL I heard her say that “living in poverty is a sin”. Now everytime I see her on tv I simply turn the channle and pray to God that she is shown that being in poverty is NOT a sin. I would have NEVER believed that she would say such a thing but I heard it myself.
I know that being in poverty IS NOT A SIN, and nowhere in the word of God will you find such a statment. so after hearing her preach that made me question her hole mimistery.

  63. I heard Joyce say that we are all little Gods, based on the scripture :He made us in His image; The prosperity gospel has gone to the utter limmits of heresy.Keeep praying for her

  64. The beginning of wisedom is the fear of God. And in Gods eyes it is very wise to not sin,..therefore it is the fear of God to utterly hate sin…To utterly love God is to utterly hate sin. Complancency is a bondage we face today Work out your salvation with fear and trembeling.

  65. Oh my God Save me from these kind of people who just waste their God given time in gossiping / back biting or just bitching about others or etc………. Of what profit is it for you to know whether Joyce is rich or poor, whether she is owning / saling a $100 house or a billion dollar house. She is preaching the word of God, hear it with open ears, heart & crosscheck if the Bible tells the same if yes bless her & thank God in the name of Jesus or else pray for her that she would be doing/preaching the right thing before millions of people(including non-believers) because they watch her on TV & get impacted. If not pray then tell her what she needs to be doing in a place where she can hear & do something about it.

Talking about her dressing sense/ the way she presents herself, you would not be listening or even caring to listen to what she have to say if she had not dressed properly or looked pleasant. Don’t you people have to marvel at the way she has taken care of herself in her 60’s & stayed fit & healthy. It is a god given gift to stay fit.

If she is not using the offerings given to her properly she needs to answer God, If you people are not interested in offering to her ministries stop giving. You don’t have to tell i don’t tithe because the preacher/pastor/teacher…..is not using the fund properly. Ofcourse you have to plant your seeds in a fertile soil to get good results if you know that the soil is not good, start looking for a good soil, but you don’t have any rights to criticize or speak so maliciously about others of whom you do not know completely. Bible says that even if you have all the gifts of the spirit & are working under the anointing of God but have no LOVE (if you love a person u will automatically respect without your knowledge) inyourself for others then all your gifts amounts to nothing.

All that i want to say is that stop talking so rudely / hurtingly about a God’s anointed. (Read the example of Saul & David, David refused to kill Saul saying that Saul is God’s anointed and he would not dare provoking God’s anger by killing his anointed. Whether Saul was Good or Bad was in between God and himself, finally Saul killed himself by his sword & died. Don’t forget that Bible tells us that hurting somebody’s feelings is equal to killing them)

  66. Why don’t you people thank god wholeheartedly for using Joyce so powerfully to bring back the backslide or for working through the broken hearted after all that is happened in her life..
