Like many of you, I was saddened by the news that Todd Bentley and his wife, Shonnah, have recently separated. Todd was a point man for a major move of God’s Spirit. We should pray for Todd and Shonnah and believe God for their restoration.

This does not diminish the great victories that were won through the Lakeland Revival (also called the Florida Outpouring) including the multitudes who were saved and healed. It was a genuine move of God’s Spirit.

Personally, my faith has developed dramatically and the miracles have increased in my ministry as a result of participating in several of the revival meetings.

For now, until we have more complete information, we have decided to remove Todd’s interviews from our TV and radio archives.

Please join me in praying for Todd and Shonnah as well as the entire staff of Fresh Fire Ministries.

John Hagee: It’s Obama bin Laden. No doubt in my mind.

John Hagee: Oh, I’m sorry, Ken. Yes, Obama.

Creflo Dollar: Why, because he’s black?

John Hagee: Touchy, eh? No, Creflo, it has nothing to do with his blackness. It’s because he is a Muslim.

Creflo Dollar: Where, in the Bible, does it say the Anti-Christ will be a Muslim?

John Hagee: Are we limiting our answers to what’s in Scripture? Is that in the rules, Ken? Because if it is, well, that’s a problem. Help me out here, brother.

Fake Kenneth Copeland: I’m sorry, Creflo, but I think I’m gonna have to side with John on this. Heck, if we’re sticking to the Bible, this is gonna be a very short conversation.

John Hagee: That’s right. You know that whole “dual covenant” thing? I just made that up! And before you go casting stones, Creflo, the words “bling, bling” don’t appear anywhere in the Bible.

Joyce Meyer: Boys, can we please get back to the subject at hand? I’ve studied this out and I’m pretty darn sure that Michael Phelps is the Anti-Christ.

Paula White: You think so? Oh, he’s a hottie!

John Hagee: Both of you, shut up. I have high-level sources in the Knesset, as well as our own State Department, who tell me Osama is definitely our man.

Benny Hinn: I heard that boy’s worth $40 million. My people are already in touch. Ha!

Fake Kenneth Copeland: Michael Phelps, you mean?

Benny Hinn: That’s right.

Fake Kenneth Copeland: Okay, Joyce…I’ll bite. Why do you think Michael Phelps is the Anti-Christ?

Joyce Meyer: Well, first of all let’s take a look at his birthdate. Michael Phelps was born on June 30. Not counting the zero, that would be represented numerically as 6/3. Now let’s look at his height. Wikipedia says he’s 6′ 4″, but that’s wrong. It’s actually 6′ 3″. All right, so let’s add all that up: 6+3+6+3. Expressed another way, that would be 6+6+6. Ergo, Michael Phelps is the beast.

Benny Hinn: Okay, but what about the $40 million?

Joyce Meyer: Not a problem. My accountants have been looking into that. Actually, he’s worth $39 million. What’s nine minus three, Benny?

Benny Hinn: Six?

Joyce Meyer: Very good. Here’s something else to look at. We all know Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, don’t we? And who is the most powerful angel in the Bible?

Bob Jones: Emma?

Joyce Meyer: No, Grandpa…it’s Michael.

Fake Kenneth Copeland: That’s pretty impressive, Joyce, especially for a little lady.

Joyce Meyer: I’m gonna ignore that last comment, although I must say that’s pretty funny, coming from you, Ken. Here’s the clincher. Look at Revelation 13:1. It says: “Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea.” Did you get that, guys? Coming out of the sea. Hello? Michael Phelps is a swimmer!

Paula White: I have a picture of him swimming in the ocean.

Joyce Meyer: And, of course, then there’s his connection to the Olympics. As you know, the Olympic Games are closely associated with paganism and idolotry.

Fake Kenneth Copeland: Really?

Joyce Meyer: Absolutely. And for the first hundred years or so, anyone participating in the games had to do so without a shred of clothing.

Bob Jones: Were there women? Naked women?

Paula White: Personally, I think Christians are entirely too uptight about the whole nudity thing. The human form is a thing of beauty. It’s God’s design.

John Hagee: I have never heard such a load of crap in all my life. Michael Phelps isn’t even a Muslim.

John Hagee: First of all, Obama is a Muslim. Now, think about that. He’s a Muslim. That is really, really bad. Remember the World Trade Center? Does the phrase “9/11″ mean anything to you guys, or have you already forgotten?

John Hagee: Actually there is, Ken. It’s very interesting. Osama was born on August 4, 1961. If we break that down numerically, it looks like this: 8/4/1961. We ran that through our computers a few million times, came up with nothing. But then the Lord began to speak to my spirit in an audible voice, and said: “You know, the Anti-Christ is evil, but he’s also very smart. Try looking at it a different way.” So here’s what I came up with: 8/4=2. Simple division, right? Then 2 x 19=38. That’s the multiplication part. Then 38 + 61=99. Division, multiplication, and addition. Doh! That’s the way Satan always works. Expressed as a single equation, it is: ((8/4) x 19) + 61 = 99.

Fake Kenneth Copeland: Ninety-nine?

John Hagee: Well, yea, but stay with me, Ken. You’ve got to think like Satan. Satan always perverts. Say that with me: Satan Always Perverts. What is 99 upside down?

Tragic video of Todd Bentley, Shonnah Bentley and Children

Thanks to Scott for directing me to this video of Todd Bentley with his wife and children at Lakeland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le8po2SZJ1k&eurl=  It is very tragic and all too revealing.

“God has done something in my family” – says Todd as he calls his kids up to him on stage at Lakeland. They look really miserable, now we understand why, they knew Daddy is a liar. Todd then says they are there as a prophetic sign that God is going to heal marriages and bring great breakthrough in families…. “Get ready for a breakthrough in your family. Tonight is a night of miracles in your family!” he says.

At around 1.14 minutes we see Shonnah Bentley getting ministering to in the background. “Mummy’s a little drunk right now…. Mummy’s having a little drink.”   says Todd, while he says his daughters can pray for familes being fixed up later – no wonder his children do no look too enthused!

What does this say of the lying signs and wonders exhibited there that night OR Todd’s prophetic signs? What does it say of what Todd and Shonnah has been drinking in? What does it say about Todd’s prophecies and anointing? And what kind of father make his kids and wife go through this obvious charade on stage?

Todd Bentley, the Snake Lady & Undiscerning Apostles

“If the recent “commissioning” of Todd Bentley proves anything, it is that the so-called apostles and self-described prophets of the neo-charismatic movement are neither. They have no spiritual discernment whatsoever, nor do they possess anything even remotely resembling an “apostolic” annointing.

During the “commissioning” service, described by participants in Charisma Magazine as “one of the greatest moments in revival history,” self-appointed leaders from the three “apostolic” organizations laid hands on Todd Bentley. The ostensible purpose of the ceremony was to bring Todd “into alignment.”

Overseeing the event was C. Peter Wagner, the head of the International Coalition of Apostles, who made the following “decree:”

“I decree to Todd Bentley, your power will increase, your authority will increase, your favor will increase, your influence will increase, your revelation will increase….I also decree that a new supernatural strength will flow through this ministry. A new life force will penetrate this move of God.”

Then, ironically, Wagner said this: “God will pour out a higher level of discernment to distinguish truth from error. New relationships will surface to open the gates to the future.“

What, exactly, is a “decree?”

Before I continue, it’s important to understand the significance of what Wagner was doing here with his “decree”. According to Dutch Sheets, protege and understudy to Wagner:

“Kingly intercession is released through decrees. With them we ‘legislate’ God’s will on earth, in much the same way an earthly king would dictate his.”   A decree, says Sheets, is “a type of govern­mental intercession or legislating from the heavens”

In Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation,  Chuck Pierce writes:

“A decree is an official order, edict, or decision. A decree is something that seems to be foreordained. This is what makes a decree prophetic…Decree can also mean to order, decide, or offi­cially appoint a group or person to accomplish something. A decree is linked with setting apart or ordaining something or someone.”

All this is just to point out that to make a “decree” isn’t simply to express a desire that something will happen. It is an act of “legislating God’s will on earth.” A decree bears the imprimatur of Almighty God. It is a “earth realm” proclamation of what God has already declared in the spiritual realm. As Mr. Pierce says, it is “an official order, edict, or decision.”

Tsk, tsk.

Four short weeks after Wagner decreed that Mr. Bentley’s influence, favor, and authority would increase, Todd has become a pariah, an albatross around the necks of those who rushed to Lakeland during the height of Bentley’s popularity. Revelations about Mr. Bentley extramarital affair with a staff member has forced him to step down from his own ministry.

Furthermore, reports are now coming forth that news of Bentley’s affair is just the tip of the iceberg:

“[A]ccording to what we have heard from several sources, this is much more than just an emotional relationship. According to staff And former staff members, they claim that Todd is a pathological liar. The board privately has said that Todd has been lying to them all along. We are praying for those around Todd to demand for him to get the help he needs before thrusting him back into ministry like they did 2.5 years ago when he had an affair with a different staff member.”

His influence will increase?  His favor  will increase? Those words, those utterly false, empty and powerless words of C. Peter Wagner, were the tinkling of a cymbal, the banging of a gong, the hollow utterances of one who believes that he, one day in the not too distant future, will rule the entire world.

The Snake Lady

During Bentley’s commissioning service, shortly after Wagner’s decree, “Prophetess Stacey Campbell” (aka The Snake Lady) was called to the stage to join Wagner, Rick Joyner, and the other leaders of the three “apostolic streams.”

Within seconds of arriving on the stage, Ms. Campbell launches into an uncontrollable frenzy of spitting, flailing, hissing and shaking. It’s an absolutely amazing display, mainly because those standing around her during this bizarre episode, those “apostles” and “prophets” who claim to be leading the body of Christ, DO ABOSLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT!

Why didn’t someone subdue Ms. Campbell? Why didn’t someone take the microphone away from her, politely escort her off to the side, and then cast the devil out of her or otherwise relieve her of whatever demonic force she is obviously suffering from?

As the spit flies across the stage, as this poor, clearly deranged woman jerks, and convulses, and hisses like a snake, take a look at the faces of the men around her. Look into their eyes, then ask yourself this question: Are these men behaving like leaders? Or are they acting like children, cowering in the face of evil?

“[W]henever a prophet speaks in my name and the prediction is not fulfilled, then I have not spoken it; the prophet has presumed to speak it, so you need not fear him.” - Deut 18:22″

Bill Johnson on Todd Bentley: Admits Previous Affair & Blames Present Affair on Todd’s Critics!

Thanks to ‘Kiev’ who directed me to this video here and transcribed it for me - the first few minutes of Bill Johnson’s sermon this week about Todd Bentley. Bill Johnson essentially says he won’t blame the opposition, but then immediately proceeds to blame them entirely for the outcome!

Bill Johnson:

“A great tragedy has come to light this past week. Todd Bentley the revivalist, who has been leading the Lakeland Outpouring meetings, has been having a major meltdown and has ended up filing for divorce – as a partial result of this particular meltdown.

{Endtimes thoughts – So it is the “meltdown’s” fault for Todd sinning – blamed from sheer pressure of work and the critic’s pressure – so all God’s fault really, not poor old fraudulent Todd’s. Not Todd’s guilt to own caused by his own sins from pressure of his sinful nature?]

This comes at the worst possible time, both for the revival and for those who have stood with him. Back in June, Che Ahn, John Arnott, and I went to Lakeland, Florida to do a commissioning service for Todd. We felt the need to stand with him as his opposition was great.

{As previously discussed the opposition was there for a very good reason! Because Todd was a liar etc…]

We can be a strength to Todd in this time, especially John and Che could be a great asset, as they’ve endured incredible opposition during the Toronto Outpouring.

{The reason you guys went was long term self promotion as well as coverup. Your “help” and “strength” obviously was not enough if that is what you really went for. But what of the Lord’s strength – ever consider that?]

Peter Wagner, a great great man of God, tremendous man of integrity,

{Integrity? In light of Wagner’s recent lying and backtracking statement!]

helped oversee and lead that part of the meeting. Although he had not personally endorsed the revival (now, I need to make the part of it clear, it wasn’t an opposition but he hadn’t been involved enough to be willing to endorse it)

{Bill needs to make this clear because of C Peter Wagner’s orders. Wagner, of course, is trying to distance himself from the revival and pretending he did not really promote Todd Bentley…when everyone can clearly see he DID.]

he felt it important enough to risk personal criticism from his peers in order to bring Todd into an apostolic alignment for his own safety.

{For his own safety. Don’t you love these obnoxious lying prophets’s spin on things in hindsight?]

I did not go to Lakeland to stand on the platform with Todd Bentley because he was perfect in character, or because we agreed on everything he was doing in Lakeland. I stood with Todd, in Lakeland, because of his enemies.

The relentless criticism and opposition, coupled with a sometime grueling unwise schedule, was bound to take its toll on this young man – emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. It happened two years ago, it could happen again.

{Uh huh. Blame it on God.]

I was involved in a-a-a restoration process to help Todd a couple years ago, in this very area. And it was thought to all of us involved that the healing had taken place,

{Note he talks about healing not SIN – and note also he admits their healing is not complete or effective – nor is their discernment. He has stated elsewhere these problems have been there for years]

when in fact there were areas that just weren’t dealt with. He just drug it into this great outpouring.

[So then it was not the revival's fault, the schedule's fault, or anything else, if YOU did not deal with the real issues which were SIN and repentence and fear of the Lord - generally in all areas of his life because evidently none were there and a child could see this. Because let us not forget he was sinning from Day One by lying.... and indeed even long before Day One at Lakeland. And these guys want us to believe they honestly did not know.]

It was my intention to bring a deflection into the mix so that he wouldn’t have to take all the heat by himself. Little did I realize it was too late. He was out to place a burnout again, abandoning his marriage, pulling out of all public ministry. While I’ll never blame Todd or Todd’s opponents for Todd’s bad choices – I mean, in no matter what condition you find yourself, in no matter what kind of opposition or circumstances are around you, we can never blame anyone else for our bad decisions.

{Decisions = sin]

Because there is always a grace available for the circumstances that we are in, to make righteous decisions and to always choose well and have the Lord defend us. Are you with me on this? I’ll never blame the opponents of this outpouring for Todd’s choices. However, it had a greater effect on the outcome than any of his critics will likely own up to in this lifetime. History proves this.”

{Endtimes note – but where were Todd Bentley’s critics two or three years – practically nowhere? And he did the same thing THEN – commit adultery – so he cannot blame it on either this revival’s work schedule or its critics! Elsewhere Johnson has also acknowledged that these issues were there for years – so he cannot even make up one excuse and stick to it and keep his story straight!]

Bill Johnson then continues to talk about apostolic dominion in the video. The “Shift” as people abandon denominations and become one ”family” – that means unity under Wagner’s NAR spiritual fathers – which funny enough this revival was always about. It is the apostles seeking to use this fall for their own gain – don’t let them!

“We need to work to transition the church from denominationalism to family..and I want to tell you why…..denominationalism is not healthy and the reason denominations were initially formed because groups of people had agreement in common doctrine and that agreement was what brought them together. When your foundation is doctrinal agreement…you have to remove the part that is the oddball; you have to get rid of anything or anyone that doesn’t conform. And even now this kind of a statement dials up religious values in good people that don’t realize that they have been trained by a system that is deficient, its defective.”

Comment from Sheeple on this last paragraph from here:

“Johnson relegates the criticism against Lakeland and Bentley to a “denominational spirit” and he even goes on to say that there are people in denominations who don’t have a denominal spirit and some not in denominations who do have a denominational spirit….. he tries to characterize the position of the critics by making it a denominational issue. The problem is, the majority of the worse critics are all coming from non-denominational – charismatic people. A quick tour of Charisma Magazine’s forums will prove enlightening, which incidentailly forced them to shut down the board with all of the anti-Todd posts.”

Sheeple also made the excellent point then:

“if you were helping Todd ” a couple years ago”, wasn’t Todd “aligned” then? The double speak from you people is unreal….The spin that is being offered in Wagner’s defense is that Bentley had to be brought into alignment before correction could be offered. However, due to the fact that Bill Johnson and others had to restore Todd previously due to similar moral issues, wouldn’t Todd already have been in “alignment” even though there was no official corronation?”

John Loren Sandford on Prophet Paul Cain

As many may still remember, Paul Cain famously lied – unrebuked – while prophesying at the Lakeland Revival in May. He claimed, while prophesying, that he had been “a celibate all his life”, when it is well known that he fell a number of years ago, due to multiple homosexual relationships as well as to drunkeness. Cain had only recently been restored back into ministry before this incident (funny enough with glowing false prophecies which the apostlic-prophetic movement make a habit of).

After Paul Cain’s lie on the night was exposed for what it was and publically criticised, there came a number of other lies from other sources in misleading and contradictory versions of the ‘truth’ in statements fed to the media. These statements from Fresh Fire Ministries and its associates claimed variously that Paul Cain had been ”misunderstood” or whatever they could think of in order to try and cover over Cain’s sin, and more than that hide their own sin and lack of discernment in allowing the deception to take place in the first place, and then after it took place, let it remain uncorrected and unrebuked.

Anyway, I found the following interesting statement by John Loren Sandford from Elijah House on Paul Cain’s website here.  This was written only approx five weeks after the infamous Lakeland incident, and this time period is apparently considered ample for restoration back into ministry after lying like this! Notice the excuses and the denials still for on the one hand they deny he was naughty and the claims lack truth, on the next hand they say he has confessed and repented! (I am not aware of any confession to the body). [It also laughably talks about sorting out the "root issues" but they obviously did not sort out false prophecy, nor do they care about Biblical commands about the restoration process.]

The other person that deserves named and shamed in this is Steve Dittmar, the Pastor of Jubille church, Camarillo, CA who not only has Paul Cain regularly minister at his church but also has a testimonial on Cain’s website.

“To whom it may Concern,

This is to inform that I have spent several days in intensive ministry with Paul Cain. He was very receptive, open and hungry to receive help. Some time ago, over eager to find acceptance, Paul made some statements which some felt were self-excusing or whitewashing. If there was any truth to that charge then, there is not now. Paul Cain has faced his mistakes and sins squarely, repented, confessed, and has received forgiveness. We sought out and dealt with many root issues as well.

I want to recommend to the Body of Christ that we receive Paul Cain again with open hearts and minds. Any of us can get off track. The mark of our Lord is redemption and reinstatement. My hope is that we who are the Body of Christ will evidence our Lord’s grace in relation to Paul.

Our Lord’s Way is not only to restore us to acceptance and functionality but to resurrect us to His original vision and purpose for us. In the end of our time of ministry, I “saw” that Paul Cain had been called and intended to be an early apostle of the prophetic movement, to lead and teach many in the proper prophetic use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, a forerunner for the Body. Please join me in recognizing this as Paul Cain’s calling in the Lord, and in prayers for his full restoration to what God intended him to be in the beginning. We need that ministry, Paul’s ministry. Let’s love him into it.
