Rick Joyner on Numerology & Superstition & Wicca

Rick Joyner recently posted The History and Future of the Present Revival – Part 8   on the Morning Star website here. I already dealt in detail with the bit in this article about Todd Bentley’s moral failures here. I now want to move on to the rest of the article dealing with the much hyped 08/08/08 meeting that they had called a fast for for the previous forty days.

“We knew that our gathering on 8/8/08 would be significant, and we were not disappointed. Eight is the number of new beginnings, and we had many prophetic indications that this day was going to release a new beginning for us. It did.

They ‘knew’ it was going to be ”significant” from “prophetic indications” because proven false prophets like Bob and Bonnie Jones told them it would be!  And other numerological claptrap perpetuated on the Elijah List was used to divine this meeting as special - but, it should be noted, it was so special that even their own prophets and apostles did not believe them (eg John Paul Jackson, Sharon Stone…) which speaks volumes, as these guys had no hesitation whatsover missing the event and accepting appointments elsewhere on that day!

So, regardless what happened, significant or not these guys would make it be “significant”,  even if it was not. Rick Joyner can make anything into “sigificant” even using last season’s NFL scores.

 I caught part of the meeting via God TV, and the crowds were noticably tiny – despite all the hype.]

The night before this gathering in our Breakout Meeting, there was an unusual and high level anointing.

[Endtimes thoughts - Notice that even by his own admission, Rick Joyner acknowledges that Todd Bentley had TOLD him about his marital separation before this meeting (note too that the indications are that key leaders knew long before this moment as well) and Joyner and Jones and all the others did nothing but keep quiet and cover-up.  What kind of god gives an "unusual" and "high" level of anointing at a gathering of false prophets and cheats, when people directly disobey his word - on numerous levels?]

We later realized that 8/8/08 had already begun in the Lord because He starts His days on the evening before.

{In Jewish thought, but then if they go by this they are surely mixing calanders and it was not 08/08/08 on the Jewish calendar!]

Through the summer we have had extraordinary meetings, with exceptional healings, miracles, signs, and wonders.

{Medically verified evidence anyone?]

Even so, much of what has been happening at MorningStar has come through our youth and students,

{Youth who do not tend to be discerning, or know any better – and also lack the wisdom or confidence of age to see through charlatanism and lies and manipulation for what they really are.]

and we have been greatly looking forward to them returning in September from summer vacation. But on Thursday night, August 7, it was electric, and it felt like one of the meetings filled with the youth and kids even though many were not there. There was a renewing, and everyone was seemingly feeling and acting younger. This too is a sign. This anointing for renewal is for body, soul, and spirit. We are going to be getting younger rather than older in many ways.

{This ties in with Latter Rain immortality. I have a video clip of Danny Steyne talking to Sid Roth, where both of them claim they will live for years and Sid Roth claims he will start looking younger and younger as a sign and wonder.]

The bride of Christ is called to be without spot, which speaks of her purity. That she will be without wrinkle speaks of her perpetual youthfulness.

{Oh please - did he really say this?! Can you believe this twisting of the meaning of wrinkles? Wow]

Because eight is the number of new beginnings,

{According to the Kabbalah and also to Wiccan belief?]

 there was a spirit of renewal present here and it is manifesting in us in many ways.

{So the spirit of renewal – renewal to make all of you look younger (not holier or more God-fearing or more truthful] would NOT have come if it was not 08/08/08 as your spirit is as superstious and number abiding as you lot? It was not the Spirit of God then!]

Of course, renewal and refreshing come from the presence of the Lord, and the Holy Spirit will quicken our mortal bodies. Not only are people having their visions and hopes renewed, but many have been feeling and even looking much younger after being in our meetings for a time.

{Note yet again the scripture twisting here.  It was mainly youth that were hit by Joyner’s reckoning, so did that mean these teens now looked infantile?  It should be noted that Rick Joyner or Bob Jones is not looking any younger nor is Todd Bentley, nor are key sicknesses of body, mind or spirit being healed. Rather people are only becoming more perverse. And it should also be remembered that they have blamed the meetings on tiring Bentley out and causing a physical/emotional/spiritual breakdown- but err…they are supposed to be refreshing and healing? Surely, if what they are really selling here was really in the bottle, then Todd would have been leaping about like a young gazelle, even more the renewed from a hectic schedule, and not just leaping from bed to bed? 

What spirit is really at these meetings that testifies to false prophets, charlatans, adulterers and liars and does not give what it promises?] 

These are also the times when we can expect “signs in the heavens and on the earth beneath” as prophesied in Acts 2:19. The thousands who came to our gathering on August 8 witnessed a significant one. Days before, a high pressure system had been sitting over the area, and the temperatures had been as high as 100 degrees. The night before our gathering, a low pressure system moved through, and cleared the air. When we began our 8/8/08 meeting at 5:00 p.m., according to the weather report, it was 88 degrees, and the wind was blowing at 8 mph. Though this is what we prayed for, it is of course far beyond our ability to do something like this. It was a sign from heaven.    

[What? They prayed that God would give them a dumb sign like this which only confirms these superstitions and false prophesies? Their god is apparently able to do this with the weather but not to actually heal anyone or do any real signs and wonders. Regardless, somebody previously testified on this blog that they checked the temperature stats and wind as soon as they heard this live.  "Joyner went on to say that it was 88 degrees today there and that the wind was blowing at 8 miles an hour. The average temp there this time of the year is 90 and I checked the temp and it was actually a little hotter than 88 and  the wind was actually gusting at around 5 mph..."]

August 8 is a special day for my family and our ministry. My daughter Amber’s birth was prophesied by Bob Jones in 1988 to come on August 8 and that she would weigh 8 pounds. Bob prophesied this two years before she was born on August 8, 1990, at about 8:00 a.m.

{“About” 8am? Either it was or was not an 8 in the time! 7.52 or whatever cannot be a prophetic sign for 8am! How loose is Joyner playing with the rest of the figures?]

She weighed 8 pounds just like we had been told. The prophecy was that she would be a sign of a new beginning that was coming to the church. That new beginning is here! Amber turned 18 on 8/8/08, which is the age of maturity, and we can expect to see the new breed of ministry that the Lord has been promising to now begin to emerge into their purposes.

{New breed.  The Latter Rain elite. Different dates that have been off have been given before by their emerging by Bob Jones who has been prophesying this since the 1970s , but try, try, try again, eh?  And Todd Bentley was supposed to be part of this new breed too!

The New breed is nowhere in the Bible, nor are new beginnings or transitions in this sense.]

It was also in 1988 when Bob Jones was told by the Lord that he had “lost his marbles in the garden,” as a metaphor of how mankind had lost its mind at the Fall in the Garden of Eden. Bob was also told that he would begin finding marbles in his literal garden that he planted each year, and they would each be a prophecy. On the day of Amber’s birth, Bob found marble number 8, and it was amber in color. Amber is the color of the glory of God and represents the coming of His glory to His people. In fact, we need to see His glory to get our sanity back and that is precisely what this new beginning is going to reveal—the glory of God.

All mankind’s sanity is restored because a mental patient and perverted false prophet finds some lost marbles. Uh Huh. Not because Jesus died on the cross then.]

When we were given this prophecy, Julie and I were not expecting to have any more children. Many Christians have likewise ceased to expect any more from God, but He has other plans! You may think your time of bearing fruit is over, but it does not matter how old you are because we have been given a new beginning. You have been given a new beginning. This is a new day! We, the church, are not going to be the same from this time forward. A great change has come, and though it may take some longer than others to recognize it, with some resisting it (as is always the case), a new thing has been released, and we will not be the same again.

{Ah so those who are resisting it, have not recognized it according to Joyner! But we are resisting it BECAUSE we recognise it for what it is as well as know its true author. The author being the father of lies.]

Greater Signs and Wonders

We have seen more healings, miracles, and supernatural signs in the last sixteen weeks than we have in the last sixteen years—and we have experienced a lot in the past! We continually walk around in awe now,

{Not in awe of God though, for if they did, they would stop lying!]

and this is without question a new level for us,

{As you have been promoted through this…]

 but I also think it is just one more step back to what should be normal church life.

{God help us if this is percieved as normal Christian life!]

This “new beginning” is actually a return to the “ancient paths,” the path of life that the church in the first century began to walk on before it was diverted from its course.

{Ancient paths – new age neo pagan buzzword. Not lost on the initiated. Why use it unless you are one of the initiates calling to the initiates?  Note this bearing in mind the later revelations re Sept 21st.

As to referring to the first century church “before it was diverted from its course” – does he mean diverted by those super-apostles? Or false teachers and prophets? Or those that crept in unawares because the church did not test them or their claims? Or those who sought to corrupt the message and make it a license for immorality?  Or Jezebel with her teachings? He and this movement are all these things and more!

Or does he mean Roman Catholicism, which Joyner and other prophets are linked to via the Knights of Malta, and Rome’s agenda they secretly promote?

Or does he rather mean by power, signs and wonders. But the 1st century signs and wonders were real, not lying. They also followed the preaching of the real word. So how on earth can Joyner claim they go back to this, when their message and their signs repeatedly call away from the word.]

Nothing on this earth is as wonderful as knowing the Lord and watching Him do the wonderful things that He does. These are truly the days of miracles and wonders. As awesome as 8/8/08 was, and as our nightly Breakout Meetings are, He keeps on telling us to get ready for more! We still have not seen the birth, but what we have been experiencing are the last spiritual contractions, or birth pangs, before the birth. Again, this is not just about MorningStar or the Lakeland Outpouring, it is far bigger. True revival is coming to America!

{Note the distortion re the Birthpangs re the Manifestation of the Sons of God – that is the Latter Rain immortal perfect God-men.

“True revival is coming to America” – but err…I thought they said Lakeland was revival. Does that mean it was not revival and not true either?!]

This is about the harvest that is the end of the age.

{Scriptural distortion yet again. The harvest at the end of the age refers to the separation of believers from  non-believers at the last Trumpet blast.]

We need to have a clear perspective of what is coming so that we can be used in it.

{The false prophet and beast are thrown into the Lake of Fire. That is what is coming. Is that a clear another perspective to run away from this false prophet movement and repent of it?]

Every one of His people on the earth at this time has a significant calling to fulfill. For this reason it has also been our purpose from the beginning of the Breakout to equip the people who come to go home and release healing and miracles into their families, their churches, and their communities.

{But not with the truth.]

Todd Bentley’s Ministry on 8/8/08

We were very excited about having Todd Bentley back with us for the gathering on 8/8/08. Todd has stirred up the church like few others in recent times. There are also very few who are neutral about him. Immediately, unprecedented excitement and threats about Todd were coming. The threats encouraged us even more that this was from the Lord, but in these times, they must be taken seriously, and we prepared for a move of God and attacks from the enemy. As most of us have learned, the greater the move of God, the greater the attacks usually are.

{Threats? – talk about using a Straw Man argument try and negate the critics! Note also that Joyner accuses all lovers of truth as being threatening and working for the enemy. Well this is true in a sense as we are working for Joyner’s enemy – as Joyner does not serve the Most High God, but the father of lies - and Our God is opposed to false prophets, false apostles, liars and hypocrits. We “threaten” them in the sense we expose them. But the only one talking violence – ever – has been Joyner’s lot pp their Civil War in the church prophecies where those against their type of revelation will be removed and exterminated for the sake of unity and power and dominion of the false apostles’ government.]

We had food vendors, different exhibition tents, and bookstores set up and ready early in the morning,

{Yes that says it all. Bring the tables of the merchants INTO the temple as first priority]

and people started coming just after 9:00 a.m., even though the main service was not scheduled to start until 5:00 p.m. By noon, the crowds were getting large, and everyone seemed to be having a great time in the festival atmosphere and the incredible weather.

{The crowds were noticably small when I watched it.]

When the meeting began, the presence of the Lord was heavy, and as often happens in our meetings, many people’s eyes were opened to start seeing things in the spiritual realm.

{If that were true, they would have RAN]

To see the energy and zeal on the crowd was most encouraging, and though there was plenty of room for everyone to sit, thousands actually stood for the entire five-hour meeting.

I have known Todd for years and have spoken at his conferences just as he has spoken at ours. However, he was as anointed that night as I’ve ever seen him, and he said it was the strongest he had felt for some time.

{Others have testified this was evidently not the case that night. But whatever, what does this claim say about Todd’s anointing and His God? How could God be WITH Him in this sense?]

His message was both profound and anointed.

{Profound? I have never known Todd to be profound, or anyone – even his fans – call Todd ‘profound’ before! Most do not have the cheek to as they don’t think they can get away with that audacious claim! But Joyner is the same man who said that Shonnah Bentley and Todd’s associates deserve to sit a the right hand of God in heaven for knowing and working with Todd!  And where would Todd sit – the throne itself?]

The ministry time was powerful, and many people, some of whom we knew, were healed. There were also what the Scripture calls “noteworthy miracles” (see Acts 4:16). When it was over, everyone on our team and everyone I talked to afterward said that the day had exceeded their expectations. God had no doubt smiled on this gathering in a remarkable and prophetic way. The DVD sets from that night will be classics.

{Oh wonderful, more merchandising!  But after all that talk and prophetic significance blah blah blah what actually happened?  Where are the Joseph Company that Bonnie Jones prophesied would be unveiled at that meeting.]

….. What will be happening at MorningStar? I will address that in a bit more depth also, but we received a new commission on 8/8/08, and we are going higher, deeper, and further.

{A new commission for WHAT exactly? And also, what is wrong with the old commissions and commands and why are they blatantly ignoring them? Why would God give any of them a new commision when they boot the other commands in the face with disdain?]

We are close to the birth of something we were created for, that we believe will begin this fall, around September 21.

{And this is?  BIRTH BIRTH, What is all this crap? Always talking forward about what WILL happen the NEXT time. What about present tense obedience to what we were really created for and focussing our eyes on Jesus in the present tense?]

We have been given that date like we were 8/8/08 and it is not a coincidence that this date is exactly six months after the Honoring the Father’s Conference we hosted with WhiteDove Ministries.

{The date given from false prophets. Uh huh. Ok so you designed the date to have numerological significance. But so what if it is six months since the last conference? Really, so what. What does six months prophetically signify? Who cares? Why on earthy does it matter? This is just pagan superstition!]

Because of this, we moved our Harvest Conference to begin on September 18, and the Worship & Warfare Conference to begin on September 22, so September 21 will be the Sunday in-between. Come to either or both of these if you can, and you may be a part of history.

[Talk about humility! But 08/08/08 was supposed to be history too.

Watch whether many of the other prophets and apostles bother to attend this event to see whether THEY really think it is history or hype.

Does 21st September have any significance?

In ancient Greece, it is the eighth day of the Eleusinian Mysteries.

It is also United Nations Global Peace Day.

But even more importantly Sept 21st is the autumn equinox called 'Mabon' (The god of YOUTH - note Joyner's previous comments on youth).  It is one of EIGHT wiccan days and is a wiccan harvest festival called 'The Witches' Thanksgiving'. It has a festival like atmosphere. It is also called Harvest Home, the Feast of the Ingathering, or Thanksgiving - so it is a corrupted pagan festival. Respect is given to the coming darkness (of the winter) and The Dark Mother is honored, the Crone aspect of the triple goddess (a corrupt blasphemous trinity). HUGE BONFIRES ARE LIT. Rituals to thank the growing energies of the God and the fertility of the Goddess are performed.  It used to be celibrated along with Michaelmass, the feast of Michael the archangel in some places, so it would be interesting if Michael is mentioned there much....]

Because this will be a large outdoor event, we are also making a place for dozens of ministries, churches, Christian artists, publishers, etc., to lease a tent at a nominal charge so they will be able to share about their ministries and resources.

We will have midnight bonfires,

{This bonfire is the proof that many of these guys are pagans/witches! This is not an innocent coincidence that they just so happen to have bonfires on a pagan festival day on the second most important date in the Wiccan calendar – and at MIDNIGHT at that (this has even more significance) – and that Rick Joyner has used other buzzwords when describing the event such as “festival” and “Ancient paths” and “harvest conference” and “youth” (the god mabon) as well as using all the numerology related to 8 and Saturn! Note that many of these guys are not just innocently decieved, they are deliberate decievers in the craft!]

roaming worship and ministry teams, and other events that will create a festival atmosphere that is conducive to members of the body getting to know one another. Many important bonds between them will begin at this event. This one really could be historic, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 8,888 that come.

{why 8888 when it is on September 21st? Surely it would have been 8888 on 08/08/08? and Sept 21st would have its own numbers like 9 and 21? Unless Joyner is pointing to some Wiccan meaning in the 8s.]

By the way, did you notice that this is Special Bulletin #8? I didn’t plan that, and I just noticed it myself.

This is just the year of eight for us. Even our NFL team, The Panthers, finished 8–8 last year. For us that was a perfect season.”

{Perfect? Why? That is not a good season, let alone perfect, it is numerological claptrap. So the outcome of sixteen NFL games was determined by God to give a prophetic sign to this bunch?! Of what exactly?! Don’t they have enough 8s already?]
