Todd Bentley’s Huge Lie re: Astral Travel and John Knox
Jus to prove to you that Todd Bentley has been corrupt for many years, here is a huge whopper of a lie from 2003.
Todd Bentley from ‘LIVING UNDER AN OPEN HEAVEN’, Sept 19, 2003:
“A few years ago I had a translation experience that took me to Scotland. However, the Lord prepared me for this experience through an angelic visitation I had a month earlier at a meeting in Albany, Oregon. There an angel by the name of Healing Revival appeared to me in the building. People who came near this angel would fall under the power without anybody laying hands on them. If you didn’t see it, you could sure feel it. Children also started having angelic encounters and visions. When I stood in the pulpit, a hole in heaven opened up and a shaft of light came down. People couldn’t even come within a 30 ft. range it was like an invisible pool of glory. They would just fall down. But in the spirit realm I saw the angel standing there it was 14 ft. tall and went by the name of Healing Revival. This same angel comes frequently in my meetings today. The Lord told me that this angel was involved in a revival in Scotland with John Knox.
A month later when I was translated to Scotland, I went to a man’s grave where I saw a gravestone. It was John Knox’s grave. However, in the natural I didn’t know there was a man called John Knox. I was just a new Christian. So here I am in Scotland in a trance even though my body’s in Portland. As I walked up and down the street in this experience, I ended up visiting three locations. When I came back I didn’t know how long I’d been gone. After this experience I asked the pastor, “Have you heard of a guy by the name of John Knox? I was just at his grave in Scotland.” They said, “Yeah, He’s buried in Scotland”. Two days later a prophetess friend of mine e-mailed me to ask, “Todd, do you want to come to Scotland?” I thought, “This could be God!”
After getting the invitation to Scotland, I got on a plane in the natural and flew there. My last night in Scotland I asked the pastor, “Is there a guy called John Knox who’s buried here in your city?” He said, “Yes”. So I said: “Good. I’m going to tell you what the three geographical locations around his grave look like and then you’ll take me there. I began to describe what I saw in the invisible realm and then I went and saw and visited those places and touched them in the natural realm. .”
**********
I happen to know a little about John Knox. I lived for a short time in the city where he is buried (Edinburgh, Scotland), and the church he is buried at (St Giles Cathedral) is special to me as it played a key part while I was coming to Christ.
I know that Todd Bentley’s story is an utter fabrication because it cannot possibly be true. John Knox does NOT HAVE A GRAVE STONE. The burial yard of St Giles has been paved over for a carpark in modern times, and Knox’s grave is underneath one of the car spaces. A small yellow tile with no name on it marks the spot where Knox is believed to be buried. His initials are engraved on the window of the church opposite the car space.
“He was buried in St Giles’ graveyard. Due to modern constructions, there is no marked grave or tombstone for Knox other than a small golden plaque on the ground next to the church.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Knox
Whoops. You’d have at least thought that Todd Bentley would have researched better before telling a lie like this. Still who cares, when a lot of folk in “the church” are as gullible as they are, will swallow anything, and even when these liars are found out, still do not care, refuse to listen to the truth, and put their fingers in their ears while gnashing their teeth and stoning the watchmen.
Michael Guglielmucci Must Go through Restorative Process
From ABC News,
“The father of a Christian preacher who has admitted to lying about having cancer has told a congregation that his son must go through a restorative process.
Pastor Daniel Guglielmucci addressed more than 1,000 worshipers at the Edge Church in Adelaide’s south this morning, after his son Michael last week admitted to lying about having a form of leukemia.
“So now these five things must apply to him. He must humble himself, he must again hunger after God, he must be committed to holiness, to honour God, to honour church, and to honour everybody in the community,” he said.
“He must also have a heart to heal his own brokenness before he can ever reach out to the brokenness of others.”
Last week his Melbourne-based son, Michael, revealed he had lied about having a form of leukemia, while releasing a music single called Healer.
It is also believed he received a number of donations for treatment for his fake illness.
Pastor Guglielmucci read a statement from Michael, admitting to a 16 year obsession with adult pornography.
He earlier said his son is a sinner who must seek repentance and anyone who gave money to his son will be able to get it back.
Pastor Guglielmucci says his son may need to attend an overseas clinic, to overcome his behaviour.
Mr Guglielmucci’s lawyer says the preacher is receiving psychiatric treatment in Adelaide.”
The only thing that I am slightly confused/concerned about this, is why the church do not feel equipped to heal their own, now there has seemingly been full confession of the secret shame that led to the sicknesses. What kind of testimony is that to the world? The first that you cannot discern a fraud, and the second, there’s no real healing in Christ Jesus anyway. Where’s Hillsong when you need them?!
Mac Hammond & Living Word facing IRS investigation
By Andy Birkey, Minnesota Independent August 23, 2008 from here
“The Internal Revenue Service is investigating whether Living Word Christian Center violated the law for favorable compensation and loan dealings it gave to church founder and pastor Mac Hammond. Those compensation and loan dealings were first reported by the Minnesota Independent in February 2007.
The church has resisted demands by the IRS to open its books for an audit, and the agency filed a petition in United States District Court ordering the church to comply.
Earlier this month, a magistrate ordered Living Word representatives to appear and explain their refusal to comply with the IRS. In response to a summons in March, a church attorney told the IRS they would not comply until “an appropriate high-level IRS official” using “reasonable belief” requested information.
At issue are financial dealings detailed in documents obtained by the Minnesota Independent in early 2007.
According to the documents, which involved a loan application in 2003 and contained more than 100 pages of pictures and detailed descriptions of the church’s real estate assets, financial transactions and administrative history, Hammond owned two airplanes, one bought from Living Word for $1.06 million on credit supplied by Living Word. He leased the planes back to the church at a total annual rate of more than $893,000. The church asserted that “the aircraft are important to the efficient management of its ministry at the present time.” Living Word also rented a hangar to store the planes, and it paid for the expenses of the planes as well.
In addition, Living Word made several loans to Hammond since 2000 totaling at least $1.9 million: Two were for the planes, three were unsecured, and one enabled Hammond to purchase a house in Florida.
Reporting by the Minnesota Independent also triggered an IRS investigation of Hammond and Living Word in 2006 after being the first to report that Hammond endorsed then-State Sen. Michele Bachmann for Congress from the pulpit.”
The Star Tribune quoted Hammond as saying that an IRS investigation is “politically motivated,” and part of “a very clear effort, on a national scale, to discredit, defame and intimidate ministries and preachers of what has been called the ‘prosperity gospel.’”
“In his first public comments about the IRS inquiry, Hammond, who heads one of the state’s larger churches with nearly 10,000 members and reaches a greater audience through Sunday TV broadcasts, said that those “behind these attacks [are] enemies of the gospel.”
“They are fearful not only of the moral imperative communicated by these ministries, but the growing wealth and influence of those constituencies,” he wrote [to his congregation.]
Boys ‘flogged’ during Shia ritual
from BBC News, August 18th 2008 -
“A man whipped himself until he bled during a Shia Muslim religious ceremony, before allegedly forcing two boys to do the same, a court has heard.
Syed Mustafa Zaidi, 44, is accused of encouraging the boys, aged 13 and 15, to beat themselves at a community centre in Manchester on 19 January.
Manchester Crown Court was played a film showing Mr Zaidi beating himself with a whip made of knives and chains.
Mr Zaidi, of Station Road, Eccles, denies two counts of child cruelty.
It is the first case of its kind ever to be prosecuted in the UK.
The 20-minute video shown to the court showed the Shia Muslim Ashura ceremony in Levenshulme, with Mr Zaidi bare-chested among a crowd of about 150 men, chanting and singing.
He then used the whip – called a zanjeer – on himself.
Participants at the men-only event take it in turns, in small groups, to flog themselves, while the crowd around them chant the name of Husayn, a central figure in the Shia faith whose death they are commemorating.
The film played to the court also showed the 13-year-old boy, who Zaidi is accused of forcing, flogging himself with the whip.
‘Considerable force’
Prosecutors said the 15-year-old boy, who is not seen in the film but was allegedly forced to take part in the ceremony, suffered multiple lacerations to his back and shoulders, including a wound measuring up to a centimetre long.
Andrew Nuttall, prosecutor, said Mr Zaidi also harmed himself in the film.
“This devout man used considerable force upon himself, clearly causing injuries, and causing others present to fear for his safety to such an extent that they started to intervene and calm him down,” he said.
Mr Nuttall said Mr Zaidi then went on to encourage the 15-year-old boy to flog himself and gave him “no choice” about participating in the ceremony.
He said Mr Zaidi took the arm of the 13-year-old boy, took off his T-shirt so he was bare-chested and put the zanjeer in his hand and told him to flog himself.
‘Not for children’
The court heard how Mr Zaidi had attended a meeting at the community centre two days before the ceremony, where it was made plain that children under the age of 16 should not participate.
Mr Zaidi denies forcing the boys to participate and claims they had requested to take part.
Mr Nuttall said: “The prosecution say the defendant ignored the advice given to him that this practice was not allowed for children under 16 years of age.”
He said Zaidi forced the boys to participate in a ceremony “clearly designed to cause self harm”.
Mr Nuttall added: “This was not only against their own will but in any event is not allowed by law.”
The case continues.”
Todd Bentley and Bigfoot
Thanks to ‘OhhowILOVEJESUS’ for directing me to this article here.
Excerpts from the longer article….
“Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.” – Proverbs 27:20
Evangelist Todd Bentley and Bigfoot were both summer sensations this year – stealing the headlines and captivating both the curious and the critic with their 15 minutes of fame.
Bentley, a larger than life “miracle worker” from Canada, put on a big show here in the States that drew a lot of people and a lot of media attention down in Lakeland, Florida. …
Bigfoot, on the other hand, didn’t have to do a thing to amaze the masses but lay frozen in a freezer.
It didn’t matter how outrageous the claims – how preposterous the premise or how bazaar the behavior of those involved. Readers and viewers couldn’t get enough of either one. And most all the providers of news and information, both on and off the web, were happy to accommodate the insatiable appetite for more.
Why? Because everyone loves a circus!”
I had not heard that Bigfoot was making the news this year until I read this, and it immediately reminded me of what God had shown me in a vision on June 2nd this year (see Beware of Yeti Footprints) which was comparing Todd Bentley’s Lakeland Revival to Bigfoot and other such ’natural’ human hoaxes. The subsequent news since then re: Bigfoot being a summer sensation and Todd Bentley proven as being false, and this unassociated article that ’OhhowILOVEJESUS’ sent me tying the two things together, is a great confirmation of the vision.
Mike Bickle & IHOP Cult-like Tendancies
Thanks to the person for directing me to this interesting post here: http://truthspeaker.wordpress.com/2008/08/17/is-ihop-a-cult/
Don’t forget IHOP is linked to the Kansas City Prophets who were also a cult, who have rapidly infiltrated the mainstream Charismatic church since the early 1990s thanks to men like John Wimber and R T Kendall and C Peter Wagner, and manifestations and impartations like the Toronto Blessing and the Lakeland Outpouring.
On top of the IHOP article linked to above (please do take the time to read it), here is some additional material re IHOP finances by the same author.
“So, I said all that to say this: when you start with an incorrect biblical premise and then build on that foundation, what you will end up with is something totally unbiblical. In order for the leaders to maintain this they MUST resort to CONTROL of the members. Any time a member sees something wrong they must do damage control immediately so that the truth does not spread to others!! (ie: telling Sadparent’s son not to speak to his mother for a year)
Why, does this happen?? I will give you the simple answer…. follow the money trail!! $$$$$$$$
Do some research, check out that Mike Bickle is the CEO of IHOP and that his wife is the CEO of her realty company and Mike is the VP. Charisma did an article on her and her company a few years ago… it’s online and you can look it up. She finds property, IHOP buys it. She gets paid a commission. Then at the end of the year she gives all her profits back to IHOP their tax exempt organization and then they do it all over again!! Nice deal!! So, who really owns ALL THE PROPERTY? Mike and Diane!!
Now come along all the interns who have to pay almost 5K for 6 months to live there and PRAY there! ok, you do the math…. 100 interns at $4,900 each….. that comes to almost 1/2 a million dollars a year! Do that twice and you have a million. How long have you been there and how much have you paid to be members there? Please show me in the bible where you have to PAY TO PRAY?????
Well, I could go on, but time restrains me. I pray that your mind is opened to hear the truth. If you are willing just ask the Lord to show you the truth and he will.
And Just for your information here is some good info on identifying cults:
How to Identify Cults from ehow:
As diverse as cults may be in their teachings and individual creeds, there are undeviating similarities that identify them as cults. There are certain tactics involved in gaining and retaining membership which become so deeply ingrained in the cult member’s psychological and emotional make up that it is very difficult to leave the cult and reform their lives.
Step 1
Watch for changes in the individual’s personality and a growing estrangement from or even hostility towards family and friends. Cult members are discouraged from remaining in contact with former associates who might cause them to doubt the teachings and practices of the cult. Members are indoctrinated to distrust anyone who criticizes the cult or leader(s).Step2
Be aware. Cult members are often convinced to contribute all of their money and goods to the cult as a sign of their commitment. There is a strong emphasis on collecting money, which is often made by selling goods to the public and then donating it to the cult as part of their ministry. They spend much time recruiting other members, which they do by preying on their emotions.Step3
Recognize the lack of control over the member’s private life. Cult leaders monopolize the member’s time and relationships, cultivating complete dependence on themselves and the cult. Members are taught to distrust anyone outside the cult and are discouraged from reading any material except what is provided or approved by the cult. Marriages and living arrangements (usually communal living) are dictated by cult leaders.Step4
Note that cult members are discouraged from thinking for themselves. They are given little or no time alone and are constantly engaged in physical or group activities. They are engaged in mind altering behaviors, such as chanting, denunciation of selves and others and encouraged to report suspicious behaviors of other cult members, including their own families. Shame and fear of alienation cements their dependence on the cult.Step5
Notice the unquestioning dedication which cult followers exhibit towards their leader. They learn to rationalize his behaviors even if these contradict previously held beliefs or common sense. They believe happiness and redemption comes solely from their leader(s) and they will sacrifice nearly everything for the benefit of the cult.Step6
Keep in mind that forcing or coercing a member to leave a cult can cause psychological and emotional damage. They have been programmed to believe God will punish them if they leave, and threats are used to force them to maintain silence about cult activities. It is necessary to get help from a professional deprogrammer and assure that they are kept away from other active cult members.”
Angels are Ascending and Descending Upon YOU Right NOW!
The following is from the Elijah List here as an advert for Patricia King of Extreme Prophetic to peddle some of her false teachings.
|
“Angels are Ascending and Descending Upon YOU Right NOW!”
by Patricia King |
”Do you know that sometimes when you dream you are actually doing more than dreaming – you may actually be having a spiritual encounter with Heaven. Often angels actually meet with us while we sleep!
In this dynamic message by Patricia King you’ll receive three very important keys for accessing “Heavenly places” and find out more about how to “only do the things you see the Father doing.”
This is interesting, not just because of the merchandising, and not just because of the focus on angels and the bizarre claims about spiritual experiences, but the “Angels are Ascending and Descending Upon YOU Right NOW!” quote.
This idea is actually extremely blasphemous and antichist and is suggesting that ALL men can be as gods and portals to Heaven. However, in truth, angels ‘ascend and descend’ on only one man – the Son of Man, Jesus - the ONLY Jacob’s Ladder (or ‘portal’), the one and only bridge between heaven and earth. Any other ‘portal’ setting itself up instead of, or equal to Jesus, is antichrist – even if it apparently be done in Jesus’ name and is taught and prophesied by a ‘Christian’ prophetess.
What’s the next fad from this lot, as they get more and more blatant? Overt witchcraft from ‘former’ witch Patricia King? They already seriously dabble in the occult as it is with astral travel and bilocation etc, and their teachings are already smattered with witchcraft, albeit under other ’sanctified’ names. They will claim, no doubt, that it is only redeeming what the devil stole and they are only tapping into a source of God’s power….

A little more re: Dr Clarise Fluitt and her Dominionist Mindset
Further to my posts of false prophetess’s ‘Dr’ Clarice Fluitt’s words over Todd Bentley at Lakeland here , here are some interesting videos of her and her ministry. Notice the strong heretical blasphemous dominionism bent (eg the dominionists crush the serpent (not Jesus), and the associated NAR third wave spiritual warfare techniques.
