Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

The Winchester Outpouring spreads Strange Fire

Proving that Charisma Magazine never learns, despite what they claim, they are now promoting The Winchester Outpouring here, as well as many other outpourings like the Golden Gate Outpouring, and continuing to promote the Lakeland Outpouring under this guise. So much for Lee Grady musing how Lakeland could possibly have happened and that all the people whould have run for the exits…

Rural Virginia Churches Mark Four Months of Revival Meetings
by  Paul Steven Ghiringhelli
Three pastors are exchanging pulpits to continue stewarding what is being called the Winchester Outpouring.

[09.04.08] In a mostly rural Virginia community west of Washington, D.C., Christian leaders who banded together this summer to bring revival to their region say they are witnessing miracles, including unusual manifestations such as feathers and gold fillings.

“It’s funny how it all began; I guess you could say it’s been sovereign,” said Lee Prock, the 45-year-old senior pastor of Agape Christian Church in Stephens City, Va., just south of Winchester, Va. “With the churches that are now involved, we just want to see our city changed and transformed.”

Prock’s midsized church, along with nearby Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship and Crossroads Community Church, are reportedly witnessing dramatic healings from ailments such as deafness, blindness, arthritis and fibromyalgia after four months of meetings that have come to be known as the Winchester Outpouring.

Prock told Charisma  that children from his kids’ church prayed for torn ligaments in a girl’s knee during one service, and the girl ripped off her brace and danced about, claiming healing. Her upcoming surgery was later cancelled.

Such healings can be typical in charismatic revivals, but unusual manifestations are reportedly occurring in Winchester as well, including feathers floating out of thin air and teeth filling with gold. In some cases the entire tooth has turned to gold.

“I’m personally one of those people who wants to see things documented,” Prock said. “I’m a very cautious [person] … until I saw gold teeth starting to happen. We feel that God will bring [transformation to the region] when supernatural power is being demonstrated.”

He said one example of such a demonstration involved an elder from Greenway Fellowship, a former Southern Baptist church that is partnering with Agape. Prock said the Greenway man was openly sarcastic and skeptical about reports of unusual manifestations—until he unexpectedly received a gold filling.

“When it happened, he wasn’t bragging about it, he was embarrassed,” Prock recalled. “It was kind of like eating humble pie.”

Prock said his church’s appetite for revival was stirred last year after Mike and Cherrie Kaylor, co-leaders of a Florida-based ministry affiliated with revivalist Randy Clark’s Global Awakening, began visiting the Winchester area.

Prock said the outpouring began in earnest in April, after the Kaylors visited the Lakeland, Fla., meetings led by revivalist Todd Bentley. “[The Kaylors] had some signs and wonders happen in their meetings, but I think they got some good fresh fire and a fresh impartation during their time [in Lakeland],” said Prock, who traveled twice this summer to Bentley’s meetings.

After continuous daily meetings in June exhausted some staff, the revival schedule was scaled back to weekend meetings only. “It was really tiring—you could say it was one of those educational ventures,” Prock said.

In addition to holding revival services, leaders of the Winchester Outpouring are encouraging churchgoers to get out of their pews and impact the world around them. Prock said a perfect example of this took place at an auto shop, where a church member’s testimony triggered a gold filling inside the mouth of a mechanic. A lapsed churchgoer, the mechanic subsequently was drawn back to Christianity.

“What we want is to energize the congregants to get out there,” Prock said. “God is healing bodies and changing lives, but the most significant thing for me personally is the working together of [our] three congregations. The level of support we give, and that I feel, are worth more than words can say. We have always been on the same team. Now we are working like it.”

The outpouring, now in its fifth month, is scheduled to continue during most weekend evenings this fall.

  2. This is such a plaque. I would rather have leprosy than have to partake of these abominations. I’m getting kind of tired of the feathers and the gold teeth stories too. Anyone ever stop to think why not a REAL tooth if god was doing anything at all?

I’m sure the next delusion will have something more “entertaining” for us than gold teeth and feathers. YAWN)

  3. Miriam,

I have noticed that many comments that are made on this site are later censored. Are you afraid of the TRUTH? Or should I say any “thoughts” that don’t fit your agenda. As posters began blasting Sarah Palin because she is Assemblies of God there were some, including myself, who came to her defence and were deleted from your comment section. FYI many in the Assemblies of God are Orthodox and against the NOLR and Pater Wagner’s NAR as well.

Feel free to delete this comment. I’m sure you will.

  4. I have not later censored any comments at all re: Palin (nor do I edit any about anyone else’s comment after the fact except perhaps to take out dodgy weblinks) – I could not care less what you post about her quite frankly, good or bad. And I have no agenda re her, any more than I have with Obama.

Before you accuse me get your facts right – comments are moderated which means they may take time showing up here. There are a large number of pro Palin comments which kinda goes against your argument, doesn’t it?

I am well aware than not all in the AOG are pro NAR. But that does not mean that some are not well up for it – read who comes to their church to speak and you see it is NAR through and through. I did respond to this statement before WHICH YOU WOULD KNOW IF YOU LOOKED!

Please stop “tasting” the Word and Spirit and start “testing” it by the Word.

And then pray for the people of this site and the person running it. There is nothing like it in charismatic Christendom and its blessings are manifold.

Would that not defeat the purpose of this site?! It makes it more interesting to respond to people with differing opinions. In case you didnt know this site isnt in America and you might not see your comment until the next day as ETPW, as much as she might like to, cant stay awake 24-7! This is a very fair site! Comment by Golda | September 8, 2008

  9. As a church we are living in some pretty sorry time..

With all these false revivals coming down the pike everyday and people are looking for all the signs and wonders of false jesus led by all these false prophets, repetitious worship leaders, that sing the same line over and over again with words that don’t mean a thing, reformed apostles and extreme prophetic mumbo jumbo teachings every where. People are eating this stuff up like they are starving to death.

But in reality what this boils down to is pure and simple laziness! It is so much easier to fall in to all the excitement of the moment then to pick up the Bible and read what the Lord really wants for us. Everything is being done corporatley, and nothing personally, praise, worship, prayers talking to the Lord all of it. That is… except reading the Bible, it seems that is neither done corporately or in private! People exclaim, “I found Jesus at so and so’s meeting last night!” But the question that begs to be asked is this…How do you find Jesus any where but the Bible? The Bible that is God inspired word, the book that teaches us God’s heart, His love for us, what was done for us, all His promise’s He made to us, these false leaders are afraid to touch. It is as if it burns their hands to touch it. (it probably does)

Then there is all the people who defend them? How? By throwing a scripture or two at us, of course taken out of context. I just want to ask this question to all these people…WHERE IS JESUS? The answer you are most likely to hear is…He’s over here, NO, He’s over there, He’s in the desert, No, He’s at Joyner’s meeting, or Johnson’s or Sheet’s or He’s busy in the third heaven entertaining Jones, Campbell, Bentley, King or the scores of other people making a living leading the masses astray!

It seems typical for the times we live in, to busy running here there and every where. Running faster and going no where. Fast cars, fast times with our families, fast food and fast worship with our Lord. Is it any wonder the Joyner’s and Johnson’s are getting rich? NO, it’s not, they are providing a service for todays life style, giving God as a quick fix for the spirit. The reason so many are falling for this is because it’s the hurry up watered down, WAY down version and nobody takes the time to check it out to see if what they spew is really the truth or not…Don’t have the time…we are living in the, “If it feels good do it” times!

AND Jesus gets lost in the shuffel! No alone time with Him, no real love for Him, no understanding of Him and what He did and the pain he suffered while He was being beaten to a pulp, then, had nails driven into His hands and feet on a cross, and hung there in pain until He died. Not a very peaceful way to die, not to mention while He is suffering He is hearing insults galore thrown at Him!
Then we have these apostates pretty much doing the same thing. They cheapen His death and make it seem meaningless. They have, and teach this idea….Ok so He did that 2000 years ago…but what has He done for me lately!?! Me me me!!! I want, Money, gold teeth, diamonds, rubies falling from the sky…OH don’t forget, I want angels they are the ones we owe everything to they are the one’s that usher in the “winds of change.” Why oh why can we not get this in to our hearts and minds…GOD CHANGES NOT!!!

People this is something we need to ponder, live, be ever thankful for, keep in the forfront of our hearts and minds, NEVER EVER FORGET….JESUS LOVES US SO MUCH! The sacrifice that WONDERFUL, AWSOME, LOVING, MAN made for us, this thing that brings tears to my eyes whenever I really think on and feel it right down in my spirit and heart, it’s simple but so deep at the same time….This LOVING Man did this just for us…Yes us, ungrateful sinners…..
HE PAID A DEBT HE NEVER OWED!!!!

  11. I have asked this question before, how do they know where the feathers came from. Angels may have wings but so do flys, beetles and planes and no feathers! I recently challenged a Healing Rooms Leaders who had a photo of a very large feather that had appeared in a locked car. They said they weren’t saying it was an angel’s feather, so the only conclusion could be that God is plucking feathers off Pelicans or Albatross or some other large bird.
Natural teeth are made from enamel, gold is a soft metal, that is why the central jewels on a ring are usually set in a hard metal like platinum, then put onto the gold band. Gold front teeth would look hideous so they only seem to appear out of sight. I wonder why?? God allows us to believe whatever we want, follow who ever we will even tho the narrow road is well lit with the lamp of the word, large warning signs (many will come in my name…don’t believe them),flashing caution lights (test the spirits) and stop signs (believe not every spirit). Just what do these people think these warning scriptures mean?? obviously not anything to do with feathers, jewels, oil, gold dust angels or visits to the third heaven along with proven false prophecy?!? Blind leaders leading the blind……

  12. I have heard so many lies about gold teeth it makes me skeptical. Sure God can give gold teeth. But the feather stuff to me is crazy nonsense and my heart tells me it aint God. I have been to TACF and alot of what happens there is indeed God, or it was years ago. So letting the Ghost move is good and holy but letting demons and their doctrines move is not. I say test the feathers and get documentation on the gold tooth. Otherwise it might be another lie. Hopefully it isnt but after Bentley havent we learned to test…and to listen to our inner witness…that also means not to demonize everything coming out of TACF. These people are not all devils and most of them just want God. They have wandered and need the rebuke they are getting through Lakeland. Whether they heed it or not is up to them. God help them. Toronto was a joy when I was there and it was all God and it was good. Things have changed and that is sad.

Another account regarding Bentley comes to us from Canada, where Bentley was invited to speak in a large Pentecostal church. This church had a large air conditioning system with ceiling vents. Bentley was told that he could not turn on the air conditioner, because a large number of pigeons had nested in the air conditioner unit, so the system was down until the problem could be corrected. Todd Bentley went over and turned the A/C unit on anyway, and pigeon feathers began to pour out of the ceiling vents and float downward upon the congregation. Bentley tried to tell the congregation that it was a miracle of angel feathers floating down upon them. He was kicked out of the church as a liar and deceiver and told to never come back!

  15. OhhowILOVEJESUS, You are right on track, the only thing I would say is that I know people who are well versed in the word, and can quote a good portion of the bible, yet because of years of subtle INDOCTRINATION and years of word faith teaching (which is just the forerunner to NAR) they quote scripture from a tainted point of view. For years the teaching that we have dominion, and if its GODS will just do it, dont ask, because you have already been given that authority, and GOD wont do it for us, its our job! This Hagin, Copeland teaching has much infected the church!! Plus the (TOUCH NOT THINE ANNOINTED GARBAGE) which causes them to think, well we can disagree with them but we need to be quiet about it because GOD will punish us for making it known to others, we just need to pray for everyone! I agree with much of what you said, I have just seen that much of the time these people are well versed and have been trained over the years to call this (TOPICAL) teaching, and have gotten to be expert at taking scripture out of context. Many truly believe this because they have been trained to. My prayer is that when the rubber meets the road they will remember that only by the SACRIFICE OF JESUS ARE WE JUSTIFIED! Not by going to some distant portal at a certain time, once again this is proof that a little leaven at the start can cause a big giant mess down the road! You are absolutely right, when it comes down to it the only thing that matters is the sacrifice that the SON OF GOD made for each and every one of us!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!

    Comment by Vince | September 8, 2008

  16. Yep Vince, you are so right about the WOF and even satan can quote scripture. You can only read and understand the Bible by the Spirit of God, or else it’s just a history book, that holds no meaning and don’t make a lot of sense to some readers. To some it should be titled, The Adventures of Jesus and His friends. The Lord showed me something that makes sense…if it’s head knowledge, it’s nothing, it has to be your heart knowledge through Holy Spirit to make it come to life. Something that people need to feel for them selves and not living vicariously through the lies and tall tales of spin doctors! GOD BLESS you to my brother!

    Comment by OhhowILOVEJESUS | September 8, 2008

  17. The gold fillings and feathers are hodgepodge for sure. I ask why would any true bible believing Christian believe this. Surely then Paul and Peter would have mouths of gold since they were so close to the “glory”. Peter would have never needed to fish again and Paul would never needed to make tents. Just sell there gold teeth and wait for more to magically appear. Not to mention why bother riding on a ship, just sow the feathers together and fly. Anyhow.. In truth this really saddens me and helps clear my focus on what I myself should be doing for Christ.

Also.. Why are the miracles reported always the same? Blindness, Deafness, Fybro, arthritis.? I am starting to see a trend. The miracles are always the same miracles.

Did everybody catch that? One sight of gold and discernment gets tossed out the window and they don’t even mind admitting that! How pathetic!

“We feel that God will bring [transformation to the region] when supernatural power is being demonstrated.”

Really? I too would expect to see transformation if it were in fact the true power of God involved. But let’s face it, not one of these wacko new revivals with their ridiculous manifestations has had one iota of impact on their surrounding communities. So to expect this one to be any different is surely insanity (doing the same thing, the same way, and expecting different results). I once knew a man that joked that after having watched a fight on TV one night, he was going to watch the same fight replayed again the next night to see if the other man would win this time. He was just joking, unfortunately these guys are serious. So sad…

Comment by Rick Haymaker | September 9, 2008

  33. Rick Haymaker:

You miss the point of this article completely.

Lakeland was false, and this Winchester Outpouring is also asssociated strange fire. Charisma Magazine have beeing rueing in retrospect how people could have been possibly taken in by Todd Bentley and Lakeland, yet are still promoting Lakeland and the same thing in different names in the above type articles. They are talking out of both sides of their face and it is thus most hypocritical.

Where did I ever say this Winchester pastor was a liar? I do not know if he is or not a liar, but innocently or not he IS promoting lying signs and wonders and lying prophets and lacks spiritual discernment. And is directly disobeying God.

I believe in miracles today, but I also believe in charlatans, counterfeits and occultists. Don’t you?

You arrogantly say you have learned to ‘recognise’ miracles, yet refuse to test and weigh what you see and hear against the Word of God and lack discernment. You then think yourself greater than the early church apostles, and somehow exempt from not only deception but also their advice and commands and exhortation to test the spirits. How proud and how arrogant of you to think you can do it all yourself without God! Perhaps you have only learned to recognise the false miracles that the Charismatic church have been saturated with for years – you know being slain in the spirit and that’s the only sign and wonder people do see apart from some nice feelings as they go down or some shaking – with no good fruit from it but disillusionment. Some signs and wonder!

You are thus led by questionable signs over the word of God and are prone to great delusion because of it. Truly, without repentence, you guys WILL follow the antichrist and his false prophet when he comes, for I tell you the truth, he is already here.

If someone says they have seen a miracle do you automatically believe them without testing their claims? Are you that naive?

    >> He used murdering Paul, peeping David, and big mouth Peter

You guys love taking verses out of context. Peter may have been a ‘big mouth’ but he did not preach another Jesus or another gospel or attempt to sell the Holy Spirit. He was not a false prophet.

Saul was a religious antichrist zealot but he repented and became Paul preaching the true Christ and did not murder again. His repentence led to him being used by God, so what is your point, that religious antichrist persecutors can be used by God so they should take centre stage in every church and minister to the flock before repentence as ‘God can use anybody?’?! That is not what the Bible says. Repentence comes first. Todd Bentley et al are antichrist and persecutors and murderous but they have not repented. So your point is?

‘Peeping David’, peeped and sinned and repented most ardently for it. The Bible does not justify at any point David’s sin. So what is your point? That peeping and murder is ok?! We let an unrepentent peeping and murdering evangelist on the circuit? Oh no, that is not what the Bible says. (An unrepentent David would still have been better as he did not preach another Jesus and was not corrupt through and through or dark like Bentley. At least he testified to the REAL God and not the father of lies.)

You would love if we would give you guys a break so the world can fall for even greater delusion on a mass scale.

To warrant such words? What warning to someone entangled in pride and deception they are in pride and deception? You really are not interested in the truth, are you?! When confronted with it you really cannot stand your ground as you have no ground to stand on [except for slander or straw man arguments - as your biblical argument was demolished as it was so false] If you honestly thought you were promoting the truth, and you had biblical justification for your beliefs, then you would vigorously attempt to defend it and contend for it. But you cannot and you ignore completely the truth when confronted with it. No doubt you will still spout off the same old rubbish about David and Paul and Peter to the next mug who may be taken in by it – even though you KNOW now it is not the truth.

And hey, I thought you said you were off out evangelising (not that I believed you, of course, as it was a deceptive sham point to try and put me down, but you have just proven it… why, oh why do you not love truth?)

It is in San Francisco , there is a separate post about it on the site.

I am sorry but I am not catching up to what you mean “a separate post about it on the site”?

  39. Well Jesus did have a coin appear i the mouth of a fish to pay taxes. Pretty weird?

(FIRST-I don’t endorse gold teeth-I go to the dentist to get them).
But, we need to be careful when we say, “Nowhere in the Word does it say Jesus gave people gold teeth, and if He did Jesus would give people real teeth.” Don’t you see that you defeat your own logic here? By saying that nowhere did Jesus give people gold teeth in the Word? Guess what?–He didn’t give them any real ones either.
Just a call for taking care with our words, and let us all humble ourselves and treat one another with gentleness in the love of God.
But of course continue speaking the Truth of the Word in Love.
And hey, if you guys with those feathers would send them to me I will personally have them tested to see where they come from.
But, be forewarned, whatever you send me I will keep, I need a new pillow, OKAY!
    GRACE TO ALL IN CHRIST!

  41. Mark>>>>”But, we need to be careful when we say, “Nowhere in the Word does it say Jesus gave people gold teeth, and if He did Jesus would give people real teeth.”

No, I do not need to be “careful,” because it is NOT in the Word. and I still stand by my position, Jesus weould have given REAL teeth with him being the Creator. You make him a counterfiet by taking away form His PERFECT nature.

“Don’t you see that you defeat your own logic here? By saying that nowhere did Jesus give people gold teeth in the Word?”

No, I do NOT see that I defeat my own “logic.” You have yet to proof that HE gives gold teeth as I say He would give real teeth.

“Guess what?–He didn’t give them any real ones either.”

And what do you base that on and how do you know??? The Word says He did so many more things that were not even written. Don’t hand me this trickery. And that is exactly what it is. You want to play it your way by acting all passive. Well it does not work.

“Just a call for taking care with our words, and let us all humble ourselves and treat one another with gentleness in the love of God.”

I took great care with my words, for your information.

“But of course continue speaking the Truth of the Word in Love.”

And do you really speak the truth? Are you really interested in it? Or are you one that really really does follow man?

  42. Thanks for that link on the Golden Gate outpourings.

    I read the article.

I know the senior pastor, Michael B., personally. He was a part of my ministry more than 30 years ago.

I was just recently visiting Promised Land Fellowship, say two weeks ago. Another Pastor friend and former elder in my church recommended I stop in and encourage Michael as he was exhausted physically, so my two sons and I took off on a Thursday and found ourselves at Promised Land Fellowship Friday evening for several hours. There were about twenty people there. There was some interesting times of heart “swelling” worship lead by a gifted female vocalist piano player and an acoustic guitar player/singer and a single male vocalist singer leading us in a time of worship.

I wasn’t overly moved by any of the atmosphere. They seemed sincere in wanting to bring God Glory.

I have known Michael and his wife over 30 years as I said so when he saw me he came over and gave me an “old” time bear hug.

There was some “liberty” in the room for people who were “moved” upon to read some Scriptures.

It wasn’t wild or overly noisy and no one was running around barking like a dog or squivering in a fetal position. Things were conducted in decency and in an orderly manner. As the time came to a close a call went out for anyone that wanted to be prayed for to come and there would be someone to pray with them. I didn’t see any miraculous stuff happen, nothing emotional happened while I was there.

I sensed this kind of Biblical “sense” in my spirit about Pastor Michael B. while among these San Francisco Christians at the corner of Gould and Market Streets that Friday night:

2Ti 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2Ti 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
    2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Michael shared something from John’s gospel and then exhorted us to lay aside our senses and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to the group in offering True Worship to God and try not to draw any attention to self.

After a bit of worship time a quietness settled over the group and I sensed the liberty to share an impression I was having and was acknowledge to do so so I did.

What I was most impressed to share with this group was the sense about Jesus Christ “being” the “Life” giving Spirit who, when we boldly come before God’s Throne of Grace we should experience Him as we boldly seek His “mercies” seeing He is the Father of Mercies and the God of all Comfort!

Also I wanted it to be known that with God, we do have now a “sound” mind and there is power in God in us as well as an outpoured love by the Holy Ghost who is sent to us as a Gift given.

I was only bothered by that assistant pastor one reads about in the article you can click on and read about in the Charisma interview with Michael available above. I felt he was patronizing Michael when he made an introduction of him to speak a few words to us after about an hour or so of worship and praise singing before the Lord.

This young assistant is from Bill Johnson’s Church in Redding. I am not overly fond of that somewhat fantastic fanaticism of emotions filled church one senses when around those folks. You can sense that cloth was on his spirit as he spoke. He kinda bothered me personally.

Personally I have publicly come out saying that Bill Johnson is just self justifying when he responds publicly at his Bethel Church website to the whole spectacle at Lakeland and the sad state of affairs Todd Bentley has brought that misguided hoopala there.

So, not having time to address my concerns with Michael, and my gut sense about his young associate pastor, ‘yet’, I just note that the discernment or vibes I came away with while being at this so called Golden Gate “ourpouring” at Promised Land Fellowship in San Francisco could be in the earliest stages of a Sincerity of Faith imparted by the Hand of God to these Saints hungry for help from above as they are in one of the most openly flaunted evil of societies in the country, San Francisco, California.

I leave off with verses and would stand and defend my friend Michael in that I bear witness that this is a place the Lord has him in his walk with Him:

1Ti 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

I will also say that I am aware of the fact that “GodTV” has been around their fellowship and are planning on being around some more.

I don’t like GodTV and what they do. I have not had any good experience with them and believe God, when He wants too can do much better in getting His message of the Gospel of the Kingdom out to every creature, the old fashion way, with His people standing up for the Lord in the midst of crisis and war and in times of peace.

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

There is a place for the Holy Ghost to come to a community and convict sinners and awaken a blinded, deadened soul’s conscience and the sinful souls of a region.

I leave off with that referred to work of the Holy Ghost from the mouth of Jesus and one place of prayer as King David was moved upon by the Holy Ghost and so wrote the song and assigned that it be sung/prayed before God Almighty as he was beginning his reign as the second King of Israel:

Joh 12:37 Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him,
Joh 12:38 so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Joh 12:39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,
Joh 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”
Joh 12:41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
    Joh 12:42 Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue;
Joh 12:43 for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.
Joh 12:44 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.
Joh 12:45 And whoever sees me sees him who sent me.
Joh 12:46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.
Joh 12:47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment–what to say and what to speak.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”

    and

1Ch 16:24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
1Ch 16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods.
1Ch 16:26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
1Ch 16:27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place.
1Ch 16:28 Ascribe to the LORD, O clans of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength!
    1Ch 16:29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;
1Ch 16:30 tremble before him, all the earth; yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
1Ch 16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
1Ch 16:32 Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!
1Ch 16:33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

  43. Hi, all. I don’t have a whole lot to say for or against the Winchester Outpouring apart from personal heartache & grief. I was a member of Agape Church for 15 years…youth leader, worship leader, on staff as the Pastor’s Assistant for a time….and what I’m reading on here is bringing me to tears.

I’ve been on an emotional & spiritual roller coaster since this whole Lakeland thing began in April. There were plenty of negative things that I wanted to say about it (especially the effect it was having on our church) and I, admittedly felt a little proud of myself after Todd & the Lakeland leadership were proven to be way out of line, but before I did, GOd had me read about David & King Saul.

King Saul disobeyed God in some bad ways, and his pride drove a wedge between him & God, caused him to go insane (via the spirit that tormented him), and cost him his kingship. After David was declared the future king by God through Samuel, King Saul made it a point to try and kill
David and chased him for a number of years. Along the way, David had every chance to become bitter, and even had a few opportunitied to kill Saul…but he didn’t. He even felt convicted for cutting the corner of Saul’s robe. David’s constant answer to those who questioned his actions was, “I will not touch the Lord’s anointed.”

Yes, there are criticisms I have regarding the discernment of the leadership of Agape…there’s PLENTY of obvious issues regarding the Kaylors that I could say to tear them apart on this forum, but that’s not being like Christ. I never understood why David didn’t just do away with Saul when he had the chance until I had to walk through seeing what this ‘outpouring’ was doing to those whom I love so dearly and what it was doing to myself and my wife. Saul made a lot of mistakes and had a lot of issues, but he was still a person, and God loved him…and David, who had a heart after God’s, loved Him, and I believe David’s heart broke for Saul seeing what had become of the King.

I love Pastor Prock, and I love each & every member of Agape Church. Rick Haymaker is one of the most incredible people I have ever met and is like a second father to me (and yes, he was out evangelising because that’s what he does). Before Jesus, we were ALL deceived…we were ALL leading each other astray (blind leading the blind), but Jesus didn’t come down here to just point out all our faults in the public forums and continuously stress how deceived we all were. No, he came and he loved unconditionally and showed us a better way to live…and that’s what we need to do for each other.

I am not a member of Agape Church any longer, and a big part of it is this whole “winchester outpouring thing.” There is plenty of dirt I could kick up, plenty of nakedness I could expose, but that’s not love. Pastor Prock is the most sincere man I have ever met. He is not purposefully or knowingly spreading lies or trying to create a false revival… He loves God, his family, his congregation, and the world with a deep love, and he continuously prays and seeks God on a daily basis. He was my shepherd for many years and will be my brother for eternity. What kind of family sits around on the internet pointing out each other’s faults? Should we adress things that we see that are out of line? YES. But it should be in the manner of Ephesians 4:25-32. We MUST remember that not all who are being caught up in all of this bad people. As in the case of the Winchester Outpouring, these are people who truly love the Lord and sincerely believe that they are doing the right thing. I believe what he have is not a case of purposeful deception on behalf of all those involved, but rather a matter of a little bit of leaven that has been allowed over time to being to spoil the loaf. While I am no longer a participant of all that is going on in VA, I still have a very loving and healthy relationship with all those involved and I know that when all is said and done, God’s truth will be revealed….the tares that were allowed to grow along with the wheat will be sorted out and thrown in the fire, and there will be reconciliation and restoration. We MUST not forget to love. Address the issue? YES. But in love.

    I hope I made some sense….

  44. >David’s constant answer to those who questioned his actions was, “I will not touch the Lord’s anointed.”

Yeah, no one is advocating killing anybody here.

But seriously, any valid teacher of the Word would want people to be Bereans and test these things to see if they are true.

On another note – I’ve been in many churches throughout the Shenandoah Valley (South of Winchester), often for revival services. I’ve got about 40 homing pigeons at home, many which are white, and I’m always picking feathers off my pants. Yeah, they fall off them all the time, even in church. So be careful and use a little discernment please.

The down feather on pictured on the drum looks like something that fell out of my down coat which has a tear in the side. BTW, down feathers occur on the breast, not on the wings, so I don’t know if angels have downy breasts or not but I tend to think not.

Could get messy when the angels start to moult.
