Rory and Wendy Alec: “On November 29, the pledge altar in Washington DC, and the certificate altar in Jerusalem will close, officially marking the end of this Missions Week. Saints, time is running out! 

{end times note – what for the return of Christ? But no, time to get your offering into God TV! What kind of ‘mission’ is that?! A money making mission for a greedy and apostate tv channel who promote apostasy and false prophets? Note also the nonsene about ‘altars’.]

“On that day we will begin to plant ONE MILLION TREES in Israel in a prophetic, apostolic display of preparing for the coming of the Lord… BUT WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT YOUR IMMEDIATE HELP!

[endtimes note - 'prophetic apostolic display'?!! Since when does planting trees, even in Israel, become 'prophetic' let alone 'apostolic'?   Unless, I suppose, Rory and Wendy Alec of God TV can make these trees clap their hands as a sign when the true messengers of God speak - which would be seldom if ever televised on their God-less TV station bearing in mind their line-up of crooks, quacks and charlatans.]

“Will you give generously TODAY and help GOD TV reach millions of lost souls around the world? 

[endtimes note - how will anyone be reached by tree-planting alone?  And even when God TV do televise 'preaching' the gospel - whose gospel do they preach? Not God's, not the Bible's, that is for sure. It is the corrupt and lost preaching to the lost pp the Todd Bentley Lakeland debacle, that God TV are none the wiser, and even the more corrupted for.

Those that financially support God TV are partly culpable and accountable for this twisted lying distorted message being broadcast. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM EVEN A JOT OR TITTLE for if you do, you support a false gospel and its corrupt messengers. Somebody told me in great sadness that God TV aim to spread broadcasting into China. The Chinese church and Chinese people need this distorted Godless message like a hole in the head!]

“When you do, we’ll plant a tree in Israel in honor of every $25 you give to fulfill God’s command to “dress the land” for Christ’s return.

{God’s commission to dress the land for Christ’s return?! How ludicrous! God TV evidently do not know the scriptures about what must come first before Jesus returns, or they do not care. 

Raising 25 million dollars for this?!

And as for their claim that they were told this prophetically, what about Wendy Alec’s claim, among her many other documented quakery false prophecies, that Jesus would personally come in the clouds in his chariots and set foot on stage at Lakeland at Pentecost. It did not happen! She is a false prophet that nobody should take seriously apart from to rebuke.]

“We’ve already received an unbelievable response,

{Unbelievable there are that many mugs out there who have fallen for this.]

 ”but there are many more trees still needed to meet our ONE MILLION TREES goal!

“Saints, I am in the midst of 40 days of fasting and prayer for BREAKTHROUGH in your life,

{Yeah right, for my life? For anyone’s life? Pull the other one. And even if Rory and/or Wendy Alec were really genuinely fasting and praying for me, according to Jesus command they should not boast about it, as that is what the pharisees do, let alone manipulate me with this information by what comes next for that is the stuff of simony – for look at what comes next…. a plea for money again [surprise!]. I was going to call Rory and Wendy Alec spiritual prostitutes, but at least a prostitute gives all that is promised to the punter for the money handed over and I do not think that can apply always with what God TV  offers….]

{Oh, derr! Maybe they are just fasting and praying for God Tv’s ‘partners’ – people who hand over money to her, the more the better, and the more they give they more they will get screwed blessed by Wendy Alec’s god whom she does not speak for. If I want in on the action, and want her prayers, I need to pay up. And  fasting and praying for ‘breakthrough’ so her partners can send her even more money, not breakthrough in truth and light and discernment - for when light comes, true revelation, that puts her and the rest of her corrupt and apostate bunch out of a job.]

“… and I know many of you are joining me in this. I believe that when your tree is planted, you will see multiplied blessings as your tree grows to maturity.

{How does this work then?!

I am well aware of the common ancient beliefs running through superstitious folk Judaisim and paganism about the life and welfare of a tree being connected to the life and welfare of the person it is connected to. Superstitious pagan practices in many cultures the world over include planting the placenta/a baby’s afterbirth/umbilical cord under a tree soon after a child is born. Some believe if the tree withers or dies, the person it is connected to will wither or die – and if it flourishes the person will flourish. There are also beliefs about the animistic spirits dwelling in trees and many will hang prayers, gifts and offerings to the spirits in the branches or within the bark. BUT THIS AIN’T SCRIPTURAL AND IS TO BE REBUKED AND NOT ENCOURAGED by ‘Christian’ television!

One has to ask, exactly what spirits – apart from greed and lust for fame fortune and power – are leading Rory and Wendy Alec to speak this is from and for the LORD God of Israel?]

“So be expectant!

Time is running out.”

  1. I saddens me to see the way Wendy, Rory Alec of God TV are going, as they say, they started in a little flat and used a public phone box at the start, What happened them? I believe that, in the beginning they were sincere, or am i naive?
    it is puzzling, are we called to walk the walk quietly and in humility doing what the master asks quietly, and at all times having a great reverence for our great and mighty God.

  3. This is unbelievable! Rory and Wendy should be ashamed! Asking money for one million trees? They should give all that money to the hungry people in Africa and Asia.

    How can people still believe this crap and give money?
    The Alec’s are a disgrace to the body of Christ. Hungry wolves that want money and position. I think that when Jesus would really show up in their studio or platform, He would smash their ‘golden calf God-TV’ to pieces and clean the whole mess.

    It makes me very angry when I read this e-mail from God TV. They are using ‘God’ for their own selfish plans.

    I saw the message that they will broadcast in China a few weeks ago and I started praying for the Chinese christians that they will not be deceived by the false gospel and false teachings that God Tv shows…

  4. Hi ya!

    I really did see this on TV and for the life of me I couldn’t understand why they wanted to plant those trees! Everyday flipping thru the channels I’d see the Mission Week. I thought I must have been missing something so I really tried hard to watch it hoping that I’d finally “get it” spiritually but alas it wouldn’t happen.

    Then I saw the top guns like the numbers guy, ahm Runcey (I think), the african guy always talking about wealth transfer, (I’m still clueless!!) and Benny Hinn.

    Even before I started to read this website, their teachings were not resonating with me, they weren’t making any sense at all! I just flipped the channel. (But you konw it’s nice to have a christian channel on instead of some of the disgusting cable stuff.)

    Back to the trees issue though, I just wonder if they really can’t find something more productive to do with the money? Really – there are so many needs out there!

    I had to turn off the TV the other day when wendy said of Obama that God told her – Obama is who should be the president (this is after her station was generally promoting the republicans) because at least he is a christian and so God has something to work with (to that effect). Tsk, tsk… Oh please

    By the way, Miriam your writing style is so unique, ie your “writing voice” is very reader friendly and enjoyable.

    I, too, feel sorry for the Chinese and Europeans who depend on GOD TV but what is the option at this point?

THis whole Earth will pass away and there will be a new Earth and a new Jeruselem!!! ANd by the way I’m sure God’s got it furnaced with lot’s of nice trees on his own!

  6. It must be blindingly obvious to everyone by now that this woman is completely and utterly barking mad.Has she even thought about the logistics of planting one MILLION trees? Is she and a few chums going to do it? More to the point,does the government of Israel know that these starry eyed fanatics are going to turn up out of the blue with a million saplings needing a million holes digging in Israeli soil? One can only hope that the Israeli version of the Department of the Environment sees it the way Wendy Alec & Co does. Somehow I can’t see even the most secular Jewish government jumping to take instructions from a looney western Christian hell bent on planting prophetic foliage all over the place.

  7. I did a little research on this a while back. God.tv is not going to plant a single tree, they are just going to funnel the funds into the Jewish National Fund’s plant a tree campaign. (They admit this somewhere in the fine print)

    If you check the JNF website, they are offering the same deal except for $18 a tree.

    So god.tv is likely just pocketing the difference, assuming they even bother to finance the promised number of trees…

    I’m guessing their financial records are not public.

    Secondly, it’s amazing Rory is so portly with all that fasting he does..

    And thirdly, it was entertaining watching them squirm in the latest “Behind the screens” trying to explain how Wendy’s fairly blatant “McCain will win” prophecy was so wrong.

    How did they do it? She actually knew Obama would win, but the LORD asked her to not share that part. Amazing! (That they don’t burst out laughing recording these things.. thank God for retakes!)

  10. Oh dear, this is sad indeed. Sometimes I wonder why The Lord God almighty is not intervene with all this stuff. I mean, His Name and Honour is being mocked. Even unbelievers are noticing the foolishness about these theories and are making complaints about it (Genesis-Jesus He knows me/The Hooters-Satellite) And as a Christian I cannot even disagree with their stance. They are right, and it is so painful to see that unbelievers are right concerning this matter. It is so scary as well that God TV is spreading NAR influenced doctrines through the airwaves into different countries. So you are only accepted as a christian as long as you give a lot of your money to them or other NAR institutions… They support a tree planting project in Israel. Okay, for what purpose? Why indeed not giving it to the poor in Africa/Asia or helping christians who are persecuted. Why is it always so man-centered. And why haven’t God TV apologize publicly about their false prophesies. It is so sick. Oh Lord, when, when will you show yourself that your Name and Person may not be mocked or being used for personal selfish gain. How will an unbeliever ever repent and believe in You when they see this easy-going-gospel where the message of repentance, self denial, picking up the cross and following You is completely ignored. Please Lord Jesus, show Your Real Message and the Real You, so that these people still have time to repent and use their influence for the Real Message of Your Word.

  15. A few years ago, I supported God TV by making a donation for 12 months. I’ve since had my eyes opened, so to speak, but I must say that their programming got much worse after Wendy received her ‘heavenly blueprint’ for the newly launched schedule over a year ago. I still receive their ministry letters and just got the one about the trees. My first thought was how pagan it all sounded, not to mention the 40 day fast. They do love their ‘magic’ numbers don’t they?
    Actually it makes me feel physically ill because their influence is so wide and far reaching. I too wonder whether they started out sincere or are sincerely deceived? I’m guessing not?

  16. Yes, she said that she saw a vision of a key locking, and the words ‘A man’s choice’ and then elaborated that she thought this meant that Sarah Palin was just ‘a man’s choice’ and not the one who would actually do it, because she would be locked out or something.

    A few weeks before, she was talking about extra-terrestrials actually being in contact with the US government and in reality, being demons trying to control the upper echelons of government. Make what you will of that. You never know, some people who lap this sort of nonsense up may have put it on Youtube somewhere.

  18. I have been confused by Missions Week which began weeks ago and is still going! They twisted Scripture throughout the Feast of Tabernacles and continue to do so. Nowhere in Scripture are we told to give to anyone except the poor in the church and our own leaders in the church. Scripture is not safe in their hands, when they quote it Beware!

    check out Habbakuk. He was asking the same basic questions, and he was surprised by the answers God gave him. Eventually, he ended up praising God and got so excited by what God intended. Specifically, slavery in Babylon followed by a return to Israel after an exile that lasted 70 years.

    The equivalent today is not the state of the society we live in by the state of the church we belong to.

    Like it or not, the Wendy Alecs/Benny Hinns of this world are considered by many inside the church as belonging to the church. There is a cancer spreading in the Body of Christ and God is going to deal with it. It won’t be pleasant for any of us, but we need to get ready for it so that we can endure it. Jesus calls on us to overcome and patiently endure the trials and tribulations of this life, so that we can claim the crown and reside with Him in everlasting and abundant life.

    Yes there is great apostacy inside the church. But Jesus calls on us to examine ourselves and make sure that we have repented of our own misdeeds. When our life is entwined in His life, then we can look to bring truth into any situation. We must sound the alarm, because Gods’ Wrath is coming onto the church, to refine it, to purify it and to make it fit for purpose … to make disciples of all ethnic groups.

  21. Thank God that we have a scriptural sound TV channel in the UK which helps to counteract all the nonsense spouted. Its Revelation and Genesis TV. Only a few channels up from God TV well worth the effort of a few clicks on the remote. (Also available on Internet.) Fill your minds with substantial food, not this McDonald’s, quick fix, calorie laden, nutritionally worthless, empty nonsense.

    Interestingly the Condors (Revelation and Genesis Tv) and the Alec’s started on the path of promoting christian TV at the same time. One is run on a very humble basis. Fund raising is done monthly, when the needs of the stations are made known and also an update of what the previous months money had been spent on and also the state of specific funds ie, out door broadcast van.
    Because of this people trust them and are happy to fund them. No outragous promises of financial blessings being poured out on this channel. I get the feeling that Howard Condor would prefer to poke is left eye out than go down that road. (They went down that path once and found it all so tasteless that they vowed never to do it again and have adopted this monthly method.)
    Its a pity a few more allegedly christian channels don’t do the same.

  25. People asked about whether the Alecs started off GID TV with genuine good intent. Well here is a short video showing their God TV origins, and showing even back in 1996/97 they seriously lacked discernment. Look who is involved, Benny Hinn among others at the commissioning.

They built base at Sunderland, which just so happens to have been one of the most economically deprived parts of England with cheap labour and property prices.   29. Oh yes!! Benny Hinn has investments in poor 3rd world companies that exploit cheap labour to make North American products. Of course he would rationalize this as he is giving these people a job and probably asking them to sow seed for the 100 fold return. I actually heard one preacher say that at first it bothered him to take the last penny from the wretchedly poor but he knew he was helping them to help themselves through seed sowing. Kenneth Copeland said on a tape that it was useless to help the poor by giving them money but show them how to sow seed (in his ministry) so they could help themselves. So you see they would be doing the poor a disfavour by giving to them. By taking from people, you give them the opportunity of becoming properous in every area of life. Even pschopaths have a perfectly sane reason for killing people.

    Are you sure about the other two cahnells you mentioned bing pure. My friends and I were watching one of them, I think Genisis T.v, is that the one run by Howard Condor? and he was talking about false teachers and the money train gospel h.W.&P and my friend said to me ” Cant understand it,he talks about the prosperity teachers and then lets Benny Hinn on the station”. Is this true od these stations can anyone tell. i dont know cause I dont have a t.v and only watch it occasionally at friends houses. And one more comment. Even on the decent channels I still find some of the teachings/speakers very surfacey. No depth no anointing. Very very few speak as one with “AUTHORITY”…

    I also wonder why no one publically rebukes the false teachers by name on T.V or challenges their teachings on T.V. Maybe you should start a station Miriam. I would support you. Although watch your sword doesn’t get drenched with blood like David. It seems a certain amount of softness goes when that happens. I say that affectionitely to you Miriam.

    I know myself that it says somewhere in the scriptures that God will bless those who bless his people. Sorry for lack of reference but I know its there. I suppose there are many ways to bless Gods people, by prayer preaching or standing up for them among some. I am not saying that the Jewish nation is saved because of other covenants or anything but I do believe they are loved on account of the Patriarchs as it says in Romans. Again I want to point out that I am not pro the Alecs or God T.v quite the opposite, but I make mention of all the above to once again point out to people that false teachings can almost always be supported by scripture. Isn,t that what Peter says about those that distort Paul’s teachings. So don’t be surprised if you get a justification back in any reply you may receive.

    My own personal opinion is that the Alec’s should be challenged on much bigger issues than this such as how they can support people that have falsely prophesied, and that repeatedly, words that they said the Lord gave them such as Benny Hinn. I believe that because there is so much questioning and concern and confusion about what the Alec’s support and put out that it is time perhaps that an open meeting be arranged in a giant auditoriam and they should appear on a panel along with Benny Hinn and some others to be openly questioned by Church leaders from around the Globe who have a mind to do so. No phone ins No questions being answered from their t.v station but an open face to face accounting. Then I believe you you will see who is who. I for one will attend.

  37. Miriam, I was wondering if you are familiar with “The unknown Prophet” (Wendy Alecs book)? My dad keeps quoting from it that she “Prophesied” the downfall of the liberal press in America and that the Dow would crumble right before our eyes. Well both of these are in the process of happening, NO MYSTERY TO ME. I was just wondering if you knew how many “Prophesies she made in this book and how many have not come to pass? I cant ask him for the book as he knows I dont trust or believe her. I know you are busy but any help would be much appriciated! GOD BLESS!!!
