Marjoe Gortner wrote that A. A. Allen advised him how to tell when a revival was over:

“When you can turn people on their head and shake them and no money falls out, then you know God’s saying, ‘Move on, son.’”

  1. READ WHAT RICK JOYNER IS SAYING – WHEN GOD GOT A DIVORCE

    So, should someone who is divorced be disqualified from ministry or from leadership in the church? How can we disqualify someone from ministry or leadership for something that would disqualify God? In Jeremiah 3, we are told that God gave Israel a certificate of divorce. God is divorced. Nearly half the people in our churches have been divorced. A good many Christians now stay away from the church because they have suffered a divorce, and they feel condemned by the church for it. This is an issue that we need to address for the church, not just Todd.

    When God got a divorce, was it His fault? Of course not! He was the most perfect Husband there could ever be, but He had a wayward wife that He finally gave up on. That is what happened, and if you do not believe me, go read it yourself. There is a limit to what even God will put up with and rightly so. There are things that justify divorce. Even so, I think it is because the Lord Himself went through a divorce that He hates divorce so much. Divorce is always a tragedy and usually even more for the children than for the parents.

    I am not at all saying this to justify Todd or condemn him. At present, I still do not know enough about his situation to condemn or justify anyone. Unrighteous judges, who are often those who rush to judgment, are also condemned in Scripture. I am writing this to try to keep some from stumbling by jumping to conclusions. We have a brother, a sister, their children, and a ministry that is really hurting right now. I greatly appreciate Todd’s willingness to keep ministering and praying for the healing of those who are afflicted and hurting, but he, his family, and his ministry need much healing right now. One thing that would help them and the body of Christ, possibly more than anything else, is to see some real Christian charity expressed in this situation and some righteous judges stand up, which is the duty of true elders in the church.

    It would be one of the great tragedies to the body of Christ in our times to lose a ministry like Todd has. He is called to start much more than the Lakeland Outpouring, and just as the Lord went around destroying the works of the enemy by healing the sick, casting out demons, and demonstrating the power of the kingdom, Todd is doing that. He is taking ground in real power ministry on a level that has not been seen in decades. To lose Todd, and to lose Fresh Fire Ministries, would be a major defeat for the body of Christ. We would survive, and we would still ultimately prevail, but the cost of this defeat would be great.

    Additionally, if someone claims to be a minister of Christ, then what he teaches—the fruit of his lips—should also be scrutinized in the light of Scripture. Those who tested Todd Bentley’s teachings with Scripture were not misled by him.

So there is far more reason, perhaps, to believe him than ones who have not confessed up and are still pretending?

    A A Allen was a charlatan and liar of the first order – you defend him and Todd Bentley and yet you call ME the fool?! [I suppose you want us to believe that Amy Semple McPherson was really kidnapped as well?!]

    It has to be said too that even if A A Allen was completely teetotal, even if did not practice simony and deceits of slight of hand, even if he were really framed by numerous people as you claim, even if he was not a showman, even if he led a perfect life – it does not change that the Latter Rain that you and the Voice of Healing “evangelists” promote is an abherent heresy from the pit. But the fact is he did lie as well. Just like many lies sorround your movement in many different men.

    I also note you have dodged all the main points I have asked. Exactly which gospel and which jesus do you present? How has the Cabala inspired you? Why do YOU hate the word of God so?

    “A.A. Allen was known as “God’s man of faith and healing power.” Allen’s healing services looked more like a sideshow. He was most known for his “ability” to build the faith of the crowd in order to see someone healed. I watched this personally on the God’s Generals video series compiled by Roberts Liardon. Allen taught that God had given him the ability to turn $1 bills into $20 bills. He was of one the first ministers to promise financial blessing to those who gave to his ministry. In 1955, Allen was arrested for drunk driving in Tennessee. After the arrest, he was stripped of his credentials with the Assemblies of God (AoG). After being stripped of his credentials, Allen would play the role of martyr claiming that he was knocked unconscious and framed by men who poured alcohol down his throat. Many followers bought Allen’s alibi, and his ministry continued. However he died in 1969 with cirrhosis of the liver, and was found to be drinking yet again on the night that he died as he had a high level of blood alcohol content.”

    My concern about A A Allen has to do with the words that the “angel” who spoke to Paul J Cunningham in 1965 about Allen were about.

    Cunningham, as you should well know, Mr. Dowell, did not put this “angel of restoration revival” to the test of the Word of God.

    If Cunningham HAD put this so called “angel” to the test, he would have immediately seen that this was a DEMON.

    Notice there are three things right off the bat in your friend Cunningham’s vision of “the Angel of Restoration Revival” that do not line up with the Word of God.

    ” I was in a city-wide revival meeting in the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, in Vallejo, California, February, 1965.

    …Late one night, after having a tremendous outpouring of the Spirit of God in the service, then returning to my apartment, I went to bed at approx. 1:30 A.M. At about 2 A.M., the room filled with light, and, suspecting that someone had entered and turned on the light, I sat up in bed and looked around. The room was empty of any human being, but filled with a glorious, supernatural light, and in the midst of the light, stood an Angel of God.

    The Angel spoke:

    “Fear not, I am sent of God to instruct you and tell you of a New Move of God that is beginning in the earth”. . .

    “This move will be called Restoration Revival, and will bring restoration to the Church, the Body of Christ, and will be different from any other revival the world has ever known. . .

    as it will climax with the physical return of Jesus Christ”.

    The Angel continued:

    “You are to close your crusade here in Vallejo, and go to Miracle Valley, Arizona, to minister to A. A. Allen. These are the words you are to tell him . . .’God has chosen you to spearhead and announce Restoration Revival to the world . . . you will be used of God to begin this New Move, which will continue until Christ returns. You will need New Faith, to take a New Step forward. This will be granted unto you, and your ministry will grow by leaps and bounds, because the world must hear . . . and you have been chosen by God to announce it to them.’ ”

    The Angel told me also:

    “Go to Miracle Valley and you will be given further instruction . . . go at once.”

    I closed my crusade the following evening, and drove to Miracle Valley, and after waiting on the Lord for three days, the door opened for me to minister personally to A. A. Allen, during the evening meeting. (The story was carried in the April, 1965 edition of Miracle Magazine, which we have available on floppy disk).

    For the next 6 years, (until his death in 1970) I was a prophet to the Allen Ministry, and a close personal friend of A. A. Allen…”

    And of course, in those dangerous years when this Branhamite “prophet” Paul J. Cunningham worked with A A Allen, what happened?

    Allen broke his vows to God, started drinking and divorced his wife, and died an early death at age 59. So much for the fruit of the “prophecy” of Paul J. Cunningham.

    So Mr. Dowell, let’s go back a generation or two and re examine the words spoken to your friend Paul Cunningham by that supernatural entity.

    1. The thing said to Cunningham:

    “I am sent to tell you of a New Move of God that is beginning in the earth…”

    Okay, Mr. Dowell…

    What “new thing” would that be?

    Solomon said “there is nothing new under the sun”.

    Jeremiah said of the coming messianic age, when women would “encompass a man” as in wartime — that it would be a “new thing in the earth”. It meant that there was a new thing God would do with female prayer warriors who would ‘encompass” men in the spiritual battle. It is about Pentecost.

    But both of these missives of God were given in the Old Testament.

    They were precursors to the coming Messianic age.

    There is no need for “restoration” of the age of Pentecost, sir.

    The gifts that fell at Azusa were not a ‘restoration” of Pentecost. They were always there. People across the centuries since Pentecost had spoken in tongues, etc.

    And don’t use the book of Joel on me or us either. Joel 2:25 is a restoration of what the Satanic army of Joel 2 has stolen from God’s true Saints.

    The “great army that God sends against His true saints” is the deluded Army of heresy and AntiChrist who will “kill us and believe they are doing a duty for God” as they want us to bow down to the false Jesus. THAT is the great army of Joel 2, Mr. Dowell, and it is from what this army has stolen will God “restore” to His true people in the New Jerusalem.

    So there is no such thing as “a restoration” of the gifts of Pentecost but more importantly for a Branhamite, there is no such thing as a “restoration” of the OFFICE OF THE PROPHET OR APOSTLE as the Latter Rainers/ Manifest Sons of God types teach.

    There is no such thing as a “restoration” of these positions because the OT Prophetic and NT Apostles were given in their time period for that time period. No modern prophet can have the gift of infallibility to write the Word of God.

    No modern Apostle will have the same gifts of infallibility or ‘binding and loosing” of the foundational church doctrines that Jesus gave to them.

    Sorry. Modern prophets are subject and accountable to a local church body under the Pastor and Teacher and elders. Any other idea, such as a “prophet to the nations” is bunk and not biblical and not necessary — the Holy Spirit has come who will “teach us all things” and is a better gifting than the OT spirit of Elijah, for example. The Holy Spirit IS GOD.

    So there’s that. The Bible also NO WHERE TEACHES that there will be a “restoration revival” before the Second Coming, as this lying angel of Cunningham suggested.

    The only “revival” is the AntiChrist’s revival — the rest is the Lord’s warning of the “great Apostasy” or great falling away.

    So, there is nothing new in the earth that God will create now that had not already been seen or done at Pentecost.

    There is nothing new under the sun, either, so the OT is still God’s Eternal Word of Truth.

    So there is no such thing as the demon sent to destroy A A Allen spoke to Cunningham — a “NEW MOVE OF GOD OF A RESTORATION REVIVAL”.

    Because there is no need to restore the things of Pentecost, they were NEVER lost, except to the sin of unbelief.

    THAT BRINGS US TO THE SECOND WARNING TIP OFF for Cunningham’s 1965 ‘angel”.

    NO MENTION OF SIN, the CROSS, OVERCOMING, or even of Jesus Christ Himself.

    How does Cunningham deal with this? He doesn’t. He stupidly and dangerously obeyed without “putting the spirits to the test” as God warns us

    Plus anyone with even an cursory understanding of A A Allen knows that God gave Allen those 13 directives for his life of things he must do in order to serve Him. How come this ‘angel” didn’t mention them?

    So that’s another HUGE warning that Cunningham stupidly disregarded.

    So then there’s the thing about a NEW MOVE OF GOD that will require a “new faith” in A A Allen?

    Uh… what new faith? What spearhead? Where was the fruit?

    Cunningham’s “angel” lied. There was no fruit in Allen’s life at the end of this ‘New Move”.

    Plus, the “angel” said, mimicking the angels of the OT, that ‘it was there to ‘instruct Cunningham” and tell him of a New Move of God that is beginning in the earth…” This contradicts Scripture, sorry, Mr. Dowell.

    “Angels” do not come in this modern, post Pentecost dispensation, to “INSTRUCT”.

    THAT IS THE JOB OF THE HOLY SPIRIT as SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF

    “For the Holy Spirit will come to teach you all things…”

    So, by what authority was this “angel” speaking to Cunningham?

    I will tell you what this is. This is the demon of Hell. This is the same demon that spoke to Joseph Smith about a coming ‘restoration” of the Bible and “restoration” of the OT prophets to the Mormons.

    This is the same demon who spoke to Bill Hamon about prophesy but Hamon was too stupid to put that demon to the test.

    And Paul Cunningham I’m afraid, also did not put this ‘demon” to the test of the Word of God.

    You are deceived, Mr. Dowell and so is Cunningham. And this angel lied, in anycase, as Allen died without ’spearheading” anything, but died a divorced and compromised man, just like all the other Branhamites.

    William Branham, like Joseph Smith, was a misogynist who hated women.

    Bob Jones made women into his whores as he molested them while prophesying over them, another Branhamite.

    Paul Cain, another Branhamite, was so scared of women all he could do was practice Baal worship by sodomizing heterosexual men in order to “cure them” of their homophobia WHILE he was praying over them. This is Baal worship, false prophesy and sexual perversion.

    Todd Bentley, another Branhamite, was targeted by Satan for his own past homosexual sins and voila, ended up in sexual immorality whilst this false ‘RESTORATION REVIVAL OF LAKELAND” was happening.

    Wake up Mr. Dowell and repent. Branham was deceived. So was Paul Cunningham who was sent to deceive A A Allen.

    Cunningham needs to repent as well. You do not read your Bible if you think the “Joel 2″ army of God is a “good” thing.

  22. P.S. I invite anyone on this site to also take a look at the words of the “angel” who spoke to Paul Cunningham “prophet to A A Allen”, as I am sure I have missed many tip offs as to the Satanic origins of this entity.

    The “fear not” opening line is quite humorous. Reminds us of the angels who spoke to the shepherds on the night Jesus was born, and well before the Holy Spirit was freely given at Pentecost.

    Buford Dowell and Paul J Cunningham need to wake up and repent of this Brahhamite heresy of the NAR.

    Cunningham and his false prophesies and false teachings destroyed A A Allen, in my opinion.
