Benny Hinn & Oral Roberts Debt Cancellation Stickers

Some people are beginning to think that Benny Hinn may be reforming his errant ways, in the light of his recent criticisms on false revival {see the videos here]. I aim to be going into much more detail about what Benny Hinn says in these videos soon, but in the meantime here is extra evidence that the leapord has really not changed his spots – and this ‘outing’ of falseness within revivalism was not only extremely hypocritical and deceptive of Benny Hinn, but was to boost himself as ‘the main man’ – as well as boost his finances, of course. The following article is from Benny Hinn’s website here and it is very recent. He ain’t changed.

Debt Cancellation

Dear Partner,

While news reports scream headlines of uncertainty in the world’s economy and each day brings news of financial chaos, I’m writing to tell you about a heavenly economy with infinite resources that never lose value and always reap a mighty reward. And while the world is asking, “How could this happen in our global economy?” we who trust the Word of God for truth see unparalleled opportunities and a season of great reward in our immediate future.

That is why I am more convinced than ever that, as we complete 2008 and move into 2009, how you respond to this unprecedented season of miracles during the next few weeks might very well determine what happens for you in the coming year! For as you apply the principles throughout the Word of God, you can rise above all the challenges you face during 2008!

In the past two letters I have written to you about Isaac, as recorded in Genesis 26, and how he stepped out in faith during a time of horrible famine, even when it was not natural to sow seed. He sowed seed to change his circumstances!

{Endtimes notes – that is, send money to Benny Hinn and get rich! Why does Benny Hinn need to constantly appeal for money if this spiritual principle of sowing and reaping is correct?  Should he not sow his money to increase it, if it works so well, instead of scamming his way around the flock?

Of course Hinn does not practice what he preaches, as it is a scam, only working one way – his way. What a very foolish man to sets his sights on the things of this world which will be gone in a flash – and by it earn himself damnation. This silly man needs to repent and NOW before it is too late.]

“The Bible has so many instances where God does the impossible when we dare to plant natural seed into the supernatural.

There is another instance, recorded in 2 Kings 4:1-7, when Elisha was approached by a widow in great need. Her late husband had been in ministry with Elijah and Elisha, and after Elijah was taken to heaven, then her husband passed away, she was caught in a terrible situation of debt and lack:

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

Elisha had replaced Elijah as the head of the school of prophets, so it was not unusual that she would come to him for help after her husband’s death. She had been left penniless. The creditors were demanding payment, and were determined to take her two sons as bondsmen if she could not pay. (Mosaic Law gave the right to claim children of the debtor who could not pay, and they were then forced to serve the creditors until the next year of Jubilee.)

God heard the cry of the widow’s heart. Elisha never asked her for anything, nor did he receive anything from her. He was simply sent to give her a word that would change her life forever, for God saw beyond the woman’s circumstances, beyond the actual and factual.

Elisha did not focus on the widow’s bleak situation and what she did not have. Instead, he asked what she did have. God already knew what she had—a pot of oil!

Impossible circumstances call for unusual actions!

{What a corrupted distortion of this wonderful bible story, to apply it to sending him, a FALSE prophet, a liar and a cheat, your money so you can allegedly get rich/blessed/whatever.]

Elisha told the widow to do something that made absolutely no sense in the natural. She only had one vessel of oil, but he told her to go and borrow every container she and her sons could lay their hands on.

{The difference is, Elisha was a true prophet of God and was NOT focussed on amassing wealth for himself but in working for God. The prophet in the Bible did a miracle with the oil and then gave all the oil back to the woman – he did not take a ten percent or more cut of it!  Crucially, he was not working as a charlatan fleecing the masses as Benny Hinn does. Elisha came up with the goods – working true signs and wonders with the ’seed’ given – unlike Benny Hinn who has an interesting stage show with lots of anointed hankies, falling about, shaking and quiffs, but no verifiable results of healing. He does not offer what he falsely promises. That is a huge whacking all-important difference.]

Imagine what the neighbors thought!

Still, she obeyed.

She was willing to do the unusual.

She had nothing to lose.

She faced an impossible situation.

And look what God did. Imagine, as she poured oil into container after container until all the vessels were running over with oil! Think how her sons reacted, for those containers of oil meant that they no longer hadOil from heavean to face a lifetime as bondsmen!

Within moments, the widow went from being penniless and facing the loss of her sons to suddenly realizing that everything had changed. She was told by Elisha to sell the oil, pay off the debts, and live on the profits! Needless to say, she wasted no time and followed the prophet’s instructions.

Just a pot of oil and a word from God, spoken through His prophet Elisha, changed everything. Her debt was canceled. She had plenty left over.

{Let us remember this and remember it well. Yes God worked a miracle and provided for the widow’s financial/material needs. But ultimately it was not so much about money, it was about the glory of God manifested in and through this miracle. The focus was on God’s glory shown through the miracle and not on the money itself.  God was the one loved and sought after, not the money. A key difference with Benny Hinn and those he preys on, where God is seen as a means to an end, be it money/healing/power – and not to be glorified in for who He is with the blessings following afterwards as secondary.

Note also that the widow did not then ask for even more, she was very content with what she had been given. That is another key difference.]

What about you?

You may face dire circumstances, but what do you have in your hands that God can use to turn everything around?

{For greedy Benny Hinn to pounce on? At a very difficult time as well, that is even worse than fleecing those who can afford it – it is literally brazenly snatching all some folks have, literally robbing the bread from the children’s mouths, to add to his mutli-millions.  Oh the fool! How shall it be for him on that final day?]

That pot of oil became her secret to success and financial breakthrough, yet she could have easily said, “That’s all I have. There is no reason to go grab lots of other containers. I’m not going to embarrass myself in front of my neighbors—and I’m certainly not going to let go of the last ounce of oil I have for a prophet when I’m hungry myself!”

Can you imagine if she had refused? Instead, the woman used her vessel of oil and did the unusual to move into the unthinkable. Her faith and obedience made all the difference in the world.

{A key is discernment too. She was not a foolish woman preyed on by the corrupt deceivers that the New Testament warns about. Yes she gave what she had in faith, but she knew it was God speaking through a true prophet who produced the goods, unlike Benny Hinn who speaks for himself and does not produce the goods.]

That pot of oil represented her faith—and her act of sacrifice was the very act that shattered the grip of want and poverty forever. What she did with it changed her family, her fortune, and her future.

What do you have in your house? What do you have in your hands? If you will pour out your faith, God will use what you have.

The pot is not a gift, a talent, money—it is your faith. What are you doing with that faith?

Up to the point when she talked to Elisha, this woman had apparently ignored the pot of oil in her house as a life-changing resource. In doing so, she was ignoring the power of the Lord to perform a mighty miracle.

What about you? Are you using your faith? Expressing it? Or are you leaving it on the shelf?

What is in your house, your heart, and your hands that God can use mightily?

{Benny Hinn is getting a bit desperate here, isn’t he?]

By expressing your faith, God will begin to multiply, for faith always fills the situation when you begin to give it away.

{Who does Benny Hinn give away to?]

And if you don’t use your faith, it will wither away.

{Manipulative!]

God doesn’t look at your circumstances. He doesn’t look at your talents. He doesn’t look at your gifts and natural abilities. He looks at your faith. Your faith is what pleases God.

{And true faith is built solidly on the word of God and upon the character of God and unlike Benny Hinn does not contradict it. It links with wisdom and discernment. Faith is NOT false hope and delusion created by evil men, merchandisers and manipulators to con you out of your last dime.]

In fact we are told, “Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). Faith pleases God!

{This is disgustingly manipulative of Benny Hinn.]

Faith also moves the hand of God. Jesus taught this very clearly: “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).

Do you want to see God’s miraculous hand in your life? It is time to pour out what you have—your faith!

Today is a difficult season, yet God is telling His people to pour out faith, not hide it. Put it into action, regardless of the circumstances surrounding you. As you act in faith, you will see results as Isaac did in Genesis 26—from planting seed during a horrible famine to receiving a supernatural abundance—and as the widow and her sons did in 2 Kings 4, pouring out the oil and watching it multiply again and again!

Now is your time. Disregard the reports of famine, destruction, lack, and hopelessness. Your situation is not nearly as bad as Isaac’s or the widow’s were, yet they stepped out.

Step out in faith, and as you do, I want to take your name to my precious friend Oral Roberts, a mighty prophet of God, to pray over your seed and your needs.

{Oh this really takes the biscuit. Apart from the simony of course, for if Benny Hinn really cared no money would be changing hands. Oral Roberts – a mighty prophet of God?!! This is the man who infamously said that God would ‘take him home’ if he did not get all the money he needed, and who is also linked with Latter Rain and word faith heresy. He is one of the biggest hucksters out there, as is his huckster son, Richard Roberts. His college ORU recently had to lay off many staff and has been plagued by scandal. Now if Oral Roberts and Richard Roberts are so mighty, why are their own college’s finances suffering now? Do they lack the faith?! Maybe they should sow a seed to Benny Hinn to fix these finanical problems?!  THEY DO NOT THOUGH AS IT OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT WORK AS THEY KNOW IT IS A SCAM. THESE GUYS ARE SLICK CONMEN.]

I am planning to take each act of faith we receive during coming days to Dr. Roberts’s home, and we plan to lay hands on each response, believing God for a mighty outpouring.

This mighty prophet of God and I will be praying that God will use your act of faith—your natural seed-gift—to be planted into the supernatural. And like the widow and her sons, your debt can be canceled and your life will be so full of all that God pours out upon you that you won’t be able to contain it.

God cares for you so much.

[But apparently He will only help you and hear your 'faith' if you send Benny Hinn money?]

He hears the cry of your heart. This 2 Kings account of the widow and her sons shows His heart. He loves you so much. It is His will that you reach out in faith for all that He has for you. It is His will for you to have an abundance. He said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

[The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy - Benny Hinn describes himself! Note the picture below of Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts at the altar to their god, money.]

Step out in faithStep out with your act of faith. What is in your hands? Get the “pot of oil” out, express your faith, and then watch what God will do!

God’s outpouring and harvest are ready to be unleashed in your life. You may feel as if you only have a little, as did the widow, but what God can do with something that is precious to you will transform your life forever!

If you want to change where you are right now, spiritually and financially, what are you willing to do in faith? Sowing precious seed will change everything.

We are in a mighty season of change in so many areas—spiritually, politically, and financially. In a major area of transition, people of God are receiving more and more revelation about God’s outpouring on their lives.

{Is Benny Hinn advocating the ‘Outpouring’ now?! What a hypocrit.]

This is exciting, and I want you to be a part of it. I want your debt to be canceled and your life to move into a new dimension of biblical abundance!

As you plant your most generous and precious seed today, you will be acting in faith and moving into a new dimension which Seed November Lettercan unlock the door to great blessings in your life, for our Lord Jesus declared, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).

Sow your seed with mighty expectations for today and the future! Now is the time, for your greatest days are ahead. Your future is so much greater than your past and your tomorrows can be more prosperous than anything you have known before!

For we know it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6)…

Preaching the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the unchanging Word of God, and expecting the mighty and miraculous power of the Holy Spirit,

Benny Hinn

  1. I’ve read in some Benny Hinn literature sent to partners that when he first started out, Oral Roberts showed up at his church early in his ministry and told him that he would struggle financially if he didn’t introduce seed sowing to the people. When I read that #1 Oral Roberts discovered a big potential ministry talent. #2 Oral Roberts spotted his own kind. The letters to partners in both ministries read exactly the same. First general comments, then a story out of the bible, the partner’s needs and then the seed sowing punchline. The letters over the years have become more corrupt and manipulative. The early letters of Oral Robert’s were more on a homey, cozy and personal level. I would suggest with the increase of ministries using the seed faith scam Oral and Benny had to become more ruthless in their business stratagies. Oral Robert’s is a BUSINESS MAN and is honoured in Tulsa as such. I was shocked while listening to a Jerry Savelle tape speaking about his mentor Kenneth Copeland (in the beginning of Copeland’s ministry) that Copeland told him that this seed faith was the best thing he had ever stumbled on. Of course you know that Oral Robert’s is Kenneth Copeland’s spiritual father.

  3. 1TM 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Oral Roberts is a joke and a man devoid of integrity just like Benny Hinn. Oral told his son Richard to divorce Patti because he didn’t like her complaining about how they were getting rich of the gifts of the poor. Oral Roberts is a respecter of person who defended his friend Jim Bakker who was also a crook and then wondered why ORU went into debt and never recovered from it!

Down through the years Oral and Richard have supported other mega ministries that had no integrity including Ron Clark of Living Water Church in Tampa now defunct and the Karl Strader of Carpenter’s Home Church Lakeland which was sold to another thief Randy White of Church without Walls who is now struggling under a $ 23 million debt

  4. Well, what a twisting of scripture! The widow didn’t give the oil to Elisha! She was just doing what God asked her to do and God blessed her.

Hinn says: “That pot of oil became her secret to success and financial breakthrough…”. Unbelievable. The pot of oil was not her ’secret to success’, it was God who showed His mercy. Hinn is talking smoothly and spiritual, but in the end the goal is clear. Like I said in my comment to the video’s of Hinn about false revivals: He is claiming to be the real thing and accuses others to be false, so he can get all the money. A wolf in sheepsclothes! Nothing has changed.

  5. It’s a fact that those pastor or ministers today who have integrity are very few! Many others are following the example of Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, Creflo Dollar and Kenneth Copeland hoping to acquire great material wealth which is not what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about:

  6. Thanks for this Miriam, it is great timing to ‘nip in the bud’ any notions about a change of heart from this chief of charlatans. Benny Hinn has a lot to answer for because he has been ‘on the game’ for so many years and has, in many ways, taught the Todd Bentley’s etc. how to do it. He REVELS IN THE GLORY, which belongs to God alone, and LOVES the life of the idol rich.
I shudder to think of the rude awakening that awaits him in eternity. Of course I along with every true christian would be thrilled to see him truly repent, and do pray to this end, but until I see bitter tears and total change from this man, I will never be convinced.
I happen to know that Miriam was up into the early hours to get this posted, God Bless her, it is extremely helpful.
    THANK YOU JESUS.

  8. Benny Hinn – The IRS & US Senators is proud of Pastor benny’s Financial Transperancy

“Senate Finance Committee Gives Benny Hinn Ministries High Marks for Going “Over and Above” in Matters of Financial Transparency”

Over three years ago, Benny Hinn Ministries (along with many other large ministries, charities, and other exempt organizations) was contacted by the Internal Revenue Service, who asked a series of in-depth questions about our activities, expenditures, and governance. These questions probed deeply into every aspect of our organization and included questions on compensation, housing, use of the ministry aircraft, Hinn family employment, travel expenses, and many other areas—even going so far as to query our status as a church and a 501(c)(3) organization.

Senator Charles Grassley’s office released a press statement on July 7, 2008, regarding the ongoing inquiry into the financial accountability of six ministries, including Benny Hinn Ministries. Senator Grassley commented favorably on the cooperation and comprehensive nature of Benny Hinn Ministries’ responses to his inquiry. Senator Grassley characterized our submissions as “extensive.” The press statement described the material as “substantially informative” and “in good faith.”

Specifically, the senator said, “Benny Hinn Ministries has engaged in open and honest dialogue with committee staff. They have not only provided responses to every question but, in the spirit of true cooperation, also have provided information over and above what was requested.”
The senator commended Benny Hinn Ministries for instituting reforms without waiting for the committee to complete its review, citing that self-reform can be faster and more effective than government regulation.

Final delivery brings total of Benny Hinn Ministries response to 4,361 pages!

    Comprehensive Report
This detailed report, provided voluntarily at the request of Pastor Benny Hinn and the Church’s Board of Directors, brought the ministry’s response to a total of 4,361 pages, and answered a wide range of topics outlined in the senator’s letter of November 5, 2007.

This final submission is the sixth in a series of in-depth answers that are in furtherance of the Church’s commitment to provide comprehensive responses to the senator’s questions and to demonstrate proactive leadership to our donors.

Our highest calling is to honor God in all we do and to be accountable to Him. Secondly, we are called to be accountable and transparent with our partners.

Higher Standard of Openness and Strong Dedication to the Great Commission

As the ministry has now delivered the final set of in-depth documentation to Senator Grassley’s office, Pastor Benny Hinn and the Church’s Board of Directors continue to follow a pattern of openness and transparency.
As good citizens and as followers of Christ, we in this ministry must adhere to an above-and-beyond approach when it comes to the scriptural mandate to “render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s” (Matthew 22:21), as the Lord instructed. Each year we submit all legal filings to the appropriate governmental authorities, ensuring that our ministry complies with both the spirit and the letter of the law in relation to all government agencies that have the authority to regulate church organizations.

We will continue to do so and are very open about the fact that this church sets a high standard by spending 87 cents out of every dollar received on ministry. Only 13 cents from each dollar goes to administrative costs. Considering the worldwide impact of our ministry—including media ministries, missions, crusades, conferences, prayer, resources, and educational outreaches—our administrative costs are exceptionally low compared to those of most organizations and corporations.

That is because of our commitment and accountability to God and our partners, and we will continue to make sure that we use wise stewardship with every seed planted into the fertile soil of this ministry.
We believe that as we seek to set a standard for accountability and transparency with those in our nation’s government, we will see a speedy and successful resolution so we can return to devoting all of our energies and resources toward preaching the life-saving and miracle-working Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world!

PASTOR BENNY HINN WITH PAT ROBERTSON

    - Here is a clip of a special report featuring a recent interview aired on “The 700 Club” in which Pat Robertson and Pastor Benny Hinn discussed senator Charles Grassley’s investigation into the financial affairs of several prominent ministries. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6647494547369165905&ei=WMKpSPPSF4384AK3m8QQ&q=benn y+hinn+cbn&hl=en

Quotes – “I AM NOT EVEN ON MY INTERNATIONAL BOARDS; I DON’T EVEN SIT ON THOSE BOARDS MYSELF. MY U.K. BOARD, I’M NOT ON THAT; CANADIAN BOARD, I’M NOT ON THAT. THE BOARD IN INDIA… CAUSE WE HAVE MINISTRIES ALL THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, I AM NOT ON ONE INTERNATIONAL BOARD, NOT EVEN AUSTRALIA. THE ONLY BOARD I’M ON IS IN THE U.S.”

Quotes ” You know, I just want to preach. I said “Hey listen, guys, god did not call me to handle this,” I said. “You go do whatever you have to do to be up front.” I said, “The bible says we are to be clean in the sight of men, not just God. I SAID; “GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY’RE ASKING FOR.” AND HONESTLY, I SAID, “LISTEN,” I SAID, “WE ARE AN OPEN BOOK,” I SAID, “THERE’S NOTHING TO HIDE.” I SAID, “WE’VE JUST BEEN LOOKED AT BY THE IRS. SO YOU TELL THOSE LAWYERS GOD SPOKE.” AND THAT WAS IT.”

BUT HONESTLY, I REALLY FEEL THE LORD IS GOING TO USE THIS FOR HIS GLORY. I AM ON MY WAY TO TAIWAN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THE STADIUM IS ALREADY PACKED, 28,000 SEATS. AND PAT, ONE OF THE THINGS I’M REALLY PRAYING FOR NOW IS CHINA. YOU’VE BEEN TO CHINA OF COURSE. IN FACT, I’M SUPPOSED TO GO IN AUGUST, BUT THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT HAS ASKED THAT I WAIT ‘TIL NOVEMBER, BECAUSE THEY FELT THAT MY VISIT WAS TOO IMPORTANT TO HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME AS THE OLYMPICS. AND IT REALLY IS GRACIOUS OF THEM. BUT REALLY DO PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL GIVE ME FAVOR, CAUSE MY DESIRE IS TO SEE THAT I CAN GO AND MINISTER IN CHINA FREELY.

  12. I have an idea.

He did say a “natural seed gift”, right?

Well, folks, there are a lot of natural seeds all over everywhere.

Why not send one of those “natural seed gifts” to him and see what happens? :)

As I read this Miriam, I am a little bit ashamed at how easily I am drawn into all this! I greatly rejoice when I sense your discernment!

You are hitting on the real issue here, “his” false faith. If he believed a word of what he writes, he should be the first to give away all his millions to the poor seeing in the Isaac story, the returns were outrageous, like 100 times in return!!!

What does that look like? Well, give one dollar and receive from God two back, 10, and you receive back 20, 100, 200 returned. What about 1,000,000, yep, two million!

The point about the Elisha story though seems to be missed with me in that the whole of the world at that time was in depression. Why did God send to one woman among many who were struggling financially in those days?

There is a “law” Moses taught at Deu. 15 that should be studied to understand why the depression of those days. These folks were being very rebellious to God in that they did not take into account for the True “blessing” that Law teaches.

Deu 15:1 “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release.
Deu 15:2 And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, because the LORD’s release has been proclaimed.

And as you read along, another more important Truth is discovered, which is Hope.

Deu 15:4 But there will be no poor among you; for the LORD will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess–
Deu 15:5 if only you will strictly obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all this commandment that I command you today.
Deu 15:6 For the LORD your God will bless you, as he promised you, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow, and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

And finally you can see God’s view on one being reluctant to give:::>

Deu 15:9 Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the LORD against you, and you be guilty of sin.
Deu 15:10 You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
Deu 15:11 For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

  14. The big difference between the event of Elisha and Benny Hinn is that God backed up Elishas words while Benny Hinn just makes claims. You might be better off by giving your money to needy people. Scripture says that you have lent it God and likely will be a greater blessing for both parties then.

  15. When Benny Hinn sells and gives away his $ 10 million mansion then he can prove he has integrity! Until then he is nothing but a fraud and that is why there are very few healing in his meetings that are verifiable!

  16. What I don’t understand is why these silly people keep sending him money. We are supposed to be content with what we have, we give out of a thankful heart, not to get more back. Wake up people this is called GREED

  17. I suggest we all send Benny Hinn a small pot of oil with some empty containers and a return address. I can’t find the part in the Bible where Elisha tells the widow to pay him for multiplying the oil, so where does this guy get off? If he took this literally, we should just send him our bank statements (which is worth about the same as a pot of oil in my case) and he should be able to multiply this into some empty bank accounts which we borrowed from our neighbors…? These guys are an embarrassment to real Christians.

Thanks for a great Blog! Love reading it.

  18. Dude, are you guys blind? Do you know how much it cost to host a crusade, or even an international crusade? Things are not free. It cost into the millions to host a international crusade.

87 cents out of every dollar received are used on the ministry. Only 13 cents from each dollar goes to the administrative costs. Considering the the ministry includes; media ministries, missions, crusades, conferences, prayer, resources, and educational outreaches.

Do you know how much it cost to spread the gospel through TV? His program reaches over 190 nations.

He has preached the gospel to more than 1 billion people. Yet people condemn him for what he said 20-30 years ago.

  19. BD

Do you know how much it cost to host a crusade, or even an international crusade?

What has any of this to do with how much it costs to run a crusade? That is totally another subject. Please actually read what he says here and why it is criticised as manipulative and unbiblical! He is NOT asking for money for a crusade or for ministry, he is asking for your money so he can allegedly mutiply it for you.

Yet people condemn him for what he said 20-30 years ago.

Not so, please get your facts right. I condemn him for what he says today. [And what he has said in the past that he has never retracted or repented of.] Benny Hinn said the above printed article recently in the last few weeks. He also recently sold the atonement offering scams, and promised to make millionaires in South Africa if people gave him money.

Do you actually know about Benny Hinn’s lifestyle, BD? How he lives while on ministry trips [10,000 dollar a night hotel rooms - and that is just him?] His multi million dollar home and very expensive suits etc? Still think all the money goes to ‘ministry’? One has to ask – are YOU blind?

  20. I seed into my local church and the ministries that we do locally within my community..seeding for ministries includes: money, time, attention, and talents for the Lord’s work in investing into other’s lives. Going to the local rescue mission..helping with the church’s food pantry, praying for others..and the list goes on..what sweet joy comes from doing these things unto the Lord.
I stopped watching many TV ministries due to their ’seeding’ doctrine. Did not sit right in my spirit in what they were doing.

  21. BD, you said,

“He has preached the gospel to more than 1 billion people”

Here’s what I want you to do. Go to the bible and read and find out what Jesus, Paul, etc. called ‘the gospel’. Then, get some tapes of Benny Hinn (any will do).

Next, compare what is called the gospel in the bible with what Benny Hinn preaches.

Then come back here when you can say, with FULL HONESTY, that you still believe that he has preached THE BIBLICAL GOSPEL to a billion people.

  22. endtimespropheticwords, WITHOUT MONEY, A MINISTRY CANT SURVIVE. YOU CANT RUN A CHURCH WITHOUT MONEY.

I mean, am i the only one who thinks around here. who do you think pays for the crusades? who pays the tv bills? who pays for the mission work? who pays for the hospitals?

Things are not free, they cost alot and alot of money.

IRS already investigated him this years and His clean. 87 cents goes to the ministry. Who are you with little mind to condemn him, knowing nothing of what he does. Even after releasing it to you.

  24. >YOU CANT RUN A CHURCH WITHOUT MONEY.

Wow. You have been brainwashed real good. You can actually, BUT this is not the point. I repeat the main point of this article, please pay close attention.

The issue here is not him asking for money. The issue is WHY he says you should give him your money and what he says he will do with it. Eg you give ’seed’ to get your money back multiplied many times over. Are you any clearer now as to why this is wrong? Manipulative? And unscriptural? And lying as it obviously does not work for them and they do not practice it either?

You have the added issues on top of this of how he spends the ministry money on personal items, and what kind of gospel he preaches and other lies he says, but that is another topic.

  25. Miriam,

if I might? This is for BD:

BD, we do think and, after all, show me in the Scriptures where what Benny Hinn is doing is Biblical?

Why does my sending him “God’s money”, “seeding” his work with that that He gave me to Steward with and to bring back a return to Him, release me from my responsibility to the Great Commission?

And as for the “ends of the earth” where the Great Commission is to be brought too, let me ask you, are you any closer to the ends of the earth than where you are sitting right now reading this post?

These men are deceived and are getting “worse” boldly deceiving others and they will give an account to God for the deceitfulness of both their sins and their riches.

The thing is this, the True Church needs to rise up in the Grace of God and advance this Gospel of the Kingdom entrusted to us according to our Calling and Election, not according to Benny Hinn’s deceitfulness for riches!

Read this “Word” to “True” Spiritual leadership and square what the Apostle Paul is teaching to them with Benny Hinn’s manipulative ways. Cite or link me to one video where Benny Hinn ever teaches anything remotely like what the Apostle Paul taught, found here:::>

Act 20:17 Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him.
Act 20:18 And when they came to him, he said to them: “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia,
    Act 20:19 serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews;
Act 20:20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,
Act 20:21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Act 20:22 And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there,
Act 20:23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me.
Act 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Act 20:25 And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face again.
Act 20:26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you,
Act 20:27 for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
Act 20:28 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.
    Act 20:29 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
Act 20:30 and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish everyone with tears.
Act 20:32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Act 20:33 I coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.
Act 20:34 You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities and to those who were with me.
Act 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

When you are brought to Salvation by the sanctification work of the Holy Ghost, as is the presupposition here at Acts 20, God will bless you and increase you, prosper you, keep you healthy and cause your soul to prosper so that you will have more than enough so that you also will be able to with any additional money help the “weak”. You first must receive before you can give. Benny Hinn’s teaching is, “give” first and he then adds deceitfully, his promise, not God’s, that by so giving to him, you will receive back an increase without any hard work. Now, how can that be the same thing any one of the Epistles teaches? It just is not the same thing. Might I add here BD, “think about it”.

Benny Hinn is becoming a stumbling block to weak believers and instead of killing covetousness, he produces it by causing his false promises he makes to the giver something God never promised them or called them to do!

What he’s doing simply is wrong and it is an error and it does not establish sound doctrine!

A good profit, the Apostle teaches comes from hard work and “charity”, not giving to Benny Hinn and expecting a hundred times return just for sending him money because his jet costs $20,000 to fly him around the world and pay his food budget, sometimes it is $10,000 a month, both documented expenses, mind you.

I have to say BD, it appears you are the one not thinking! I hope I haven’t offended you? If I have, please tell me what it is so that I can make amends?

This has to be one of the most amazing, astonishing things I have ever seen! A message by Benny Hinn that I agree with! What is the man playing at? I hope and pray that this is for real. One blogger has noted, sarcastically, that once again, God has used an ass to speak his words.

  28. I dont blame you micheal, you dont know the man nor his ministry.

All you can talk about is his teaching on giving, which is biblical.

If you do not give or tithe in your church, then your not forwarding the kingdom of God in that church.

Why dont you talk about salvation and healing. The truth reveals all

  29. Also michea, United States Senate Committee on Finance. In a letter to BHM,[17] Grassley asked for the ministry to divulge financial information[18] to the Senate Committee on Finance to determine if Hinn made any personal profit from financial donations. And BHM sent them over 4,000 pages of info. And the United States Senate Committee on Finance found them clean. Benny Do not get your donations, people think Pastor Benny takes your money. No, He does not touch your money. He has a fixed income.

Dental and medical examinations, birthday celebrations, educational activities—what many youngsters take for granted—are major events for the staff and children of My Father’s House in the Tulancingo area. The home, built and underwritten exclusively by Benny Hinn Ministries partners, opened in May 2004, providing a nurturing environment for abandoned, needy, and less fortunate children.
