Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God's word

Chuck Pierce Building Up Treasure & Condemnation

I wanted to flag this comment up by ‘Blessed’ as it is very interesting and I did not want it be missed by getting ‘lost’ in the comments. Thank you ‘Blessed’ for sharing it with us.

“Just went to Chuck Pierce’s church. After the second worship song started either he or his helper-preacher told people to come up front and give immediatley if they wanted to reap favor from God. So, people began frantically writing checks out. They then brought these checks forward and put them in little treasure chests on the stage. During the morning they talked about prosperity a lot, plugged a worship minister’s cd at least three times, and said if you werent aligned under a prophet/apostle you were in a fragment.

The good part of the church is the people who are fervent in spirit and seem to really be on fire for God. But they teach tithing and made sure people knew God wanted them to prosper in this time of economic wilderness. I didnt have peace about Mr. Pierce and got really mad when he and his elders said ‘Give now and you’ll get favor from God’. They were singing a song about favor and I guess they believe you had to sow while that song was playing and after this prophetic word to get favor. It was sad because I literally saw several people frantically writing out checks in order to get them in the treasure chest before the song about favor ended.

In the end I felt Chuck and his leader Keith someone were con men because of this. If I hold him up and Paul Washer up I would say Chuck is the superapostle peddler and Paul [Washer] is the true apostle. Ten years ago I would have given all my money to Pierce and swam in his sowing deception but not now. I am wiser. So, I would not go back because of these things. But I felt the people did love God but need to wise up and boot Pierce out, or command him to repent.”

What is described is false prophecy, greed, merchandising, simony, fraud, lying, extortion, extreme manipulation, church abuse and heresy,-  all mixed into one.

  1. I have to say I am still grieved over watching the congregants at Chuck’s church frantically write out checks to throw in the treasure chests. Then they hurried up to the stage and put the checks in the chests. They seemed pretty in awe of Mr. Pierce and I guess his brother Keith, a prominant prophesier there. That was another clue someone was wrong. I believe the more God exalts you, the more touchable you are. I believe humility and touchability are entwined. Anyway, the people there are fervent worshippers and are serious about God. But I am not sure many of them know who God really is. I still feel bad because when I watched those people hurry to the stage to sow their money, I saw myself years ago. I gave and gave and gave and gave to get God’s favor and anointing and all I got back really was debt and thankfully a hard lesson: Be content with food and clothing. This is the will of God. Praise God for delivering me from prosperity error. I do believe God blesses us but He never wants us to focus on blessings and live for blessings. Our focus should be knowing Him and following Him. Shame on Chuck Pierce for being a peddling superapostle. And finally, there were alot of prophecies given out in this church. All were about prosperity and being blessed or victorious. I think if people were really prophesying there would be some chastening involved somewhere. Oh, and I forgot, they were singing a song about mud and climbing up out of it (miry clay) and of course the Keith guy I think prophesied that the mud was going to turn into gold. So the prosperity prophecies were buzzing bigtime. I feel sad for those new members who are in this church.

  2. This was funny, a peddling book by Pierce at mysimon.com. Wasn’t Simon in the bible all about money and using the anointing for gain?

  4. Dear Blessed: I thank you very much for the discerning you have about Chuck Pierce; God has told our daughter to attend university in Denton,Texas this Fall.I am looking for her church there and I found out that this ministries is selling so called anointing oil and I am not at ease about it.Do you have any suggestion about what church in that region our daughter can go? By the way;is anybody knows any good church in Houston Texas at all or are we might be the ones that God raised up all over America who came out of church and stayed at home learning from God Himself?
