Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Rick Joyner Revelation of His True Colors

This here is unbelievable: Rick Joyner is asking for money and look at the way he is doing it!

[Large picture of ‘How do you receive a 100-fold blessing’  at the top of this article.]

Rick Joyner:

“In the midst of the recent economic turmoil, the question that you and I are asking is: “How do I access God’s blessing …

{Endtimes note: the same way one always did – through faith in Christ Jesus!]

“… and live from the Kingdom’s economy …

{Endtimes note: This is man’s dominionist NAR Kingdom, not God’s kingdom, that Rick Joyner is talking about, for how does God’s Kingdom get diminished or affected by the “world’s” problems? If Rick testifies his god’s kingdom is affected or knocked by the world’s problems, then he testifies it is only the world and the god of mammon he serves.]

“… despite all of the world’s problems?”

1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham…12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

Here is the principal: during a time of lack, sow a seed to ensure a harvest. The New Testament church in Acts 11 followed this same model of sowing a seed as a response to famine.

{Endtimes note – what scriptural distortion!

The first scripture is talking about sowing seed on one’s own land to grow crops - not about giving to another ministry to get back physical and/or spiritual blessing.

As for the second scripture referred to, how is the early church preparing and sending ahead food aid for their stricken brothers as a love gift [eg expecting nothing in return for the gift from their brothers or God] for a prophesied time of famine  that would spread through the entire Roman world, the same as giving money to Rick Joyner so one can be blessed oneself by the giving?

{Besides which Rick Joyner is always prophesying great transfer of wealth to him and his associates, so why does he not wait this out in faith – for this prophetic scenario is the very opposite of the guys in the Book of Acts who prophesied need. So in Acts they prophesied need and met the need. Joyner prophesies riches so according to scripture there is no need to meet the current need, as fantastic riches are coming according to him and numerous of his NAR prophets associates – so if we hold by that scripture Joyner himself cites. we should send him nothing as there is no need. And if he is wrong about riches coming, he is a false prophet and/or liar that should not be supported by the church anyway!]

The early church vs Rick Joyner  -

  • The early church gave where they saw a specific need in others vs Rick Joyner says if you see a need in yourself give to HIM to get blessed – the specific purpose the money one gives goes to is far less important in his/the giver’s book – which is all wrong
  • The early church gave out of love and concern for their brothers to meet a need vs Rick Joyner encourages to give out of love for self so one can be blessed/anointed/rewarded in return.
  • The early church gave expecting nothing in return for themselves for the gift vs Rick Joyner says to give to bless oneself/get one hundredfold return
  • It was a give and take process, so that while one group of people gave what and where they could one time, it might work the other way around  with the prior recipient of the gift being the giver the next time – vs Rick Joyner the flow of funds consistently only seems to go one way – to HIM and his ‘ministry’.
  • The early church gave willingly and voluntarily and if they could -   they were not manipulated to give, especially if they could not afford to - vs Rick Joyner manipulation, and deliberately using distorted scriptures, false teaching and false prophecy in doing it.
  • The early church hated, condemned and rebuked simony [selling blessings/the Holy Spirit and His gifts] vs Rick Joyner who by his own behaviour directly encourages simony and makes false claims with it.
  • The early church encouraged ministers being self supporting by the work of their own hands, and they did not encourage lavish living. Rick Joyner is a ‘professional’ prophet and minister who expects the flock to financially support him very generously.
  • The early church condemned elitism, heresy, blasphemy, lawlessness, false teaching and false prophecy, charltanism, lying, cover-ups and merchandising, Rick Joyner engages in and/or supports all of these things.
  • The early church commanded having nothing to do with such men as Rick Joyner - Rick Joyner, however wants you and your money to have everything to do with him.
  •  The early church gave true prophetic words that were tested, and proved true and accurate vs Rick Joyner, who commands people NOT to test and weigh his words which consistently prove not only to be unreliable, but also unscriptural.
  • The early church never used the seed faith scam vs Rick Joyner who deceitfully uses the unbiblical seed faith scam to get money out of you – but if it worked, he would be sowing seed wouldn’t he, and he would not need to be asking you for yours as he would be so wealthy!
  • The early church prophesied need, and so met the need. Versus Rick Joyner who prophesies riches so there is no need to meet his current lack.

Crucially, Rick Joyner does not practice or manifest what he falsely preaches, prophesies and promises. I have already covered the blatant deceit and  hypocrisy in him and his associates selling “recession proof” products on the Elijah List, promising transfer of wealth and riches and the like – yet here he is  just like Steve Shultz {see Here: Elijah List Plead for Money] and C Peter Wagner begging for money {see here.]

Rick Joyner’s product on a recent Elijah List listing here offered:Keys to prospering during any economy -addresses those issues which must be understood in order to overtake, overcome, prosper and succeed in this season!“   If the alleged keys spoken of that Rick Joyner claims to understand are so effective, why does Rick not use them to ‘overtake’, ‘overcome’, ‘prosper’ and ’succeed’ – for himself and his ministry? And testify to his god? Because he cannot. Because they are false and he is a liar.]

“At this time of the year MorningStar Ministries would love for you to consider sowing a year-end gift into our ministry.

As you know, zao water, CSCL, and other projects are looking for and need your partnership. As always, MorningStar does not make this type of appeal throughout the year for cash.

{They just peddle their products and prophecies and conferences {and even web streaming of their church services] for money in the meantime and make other type of appeals for cash…]

“We do however at this time write a serious note to our friends and family, asking you to consider thinking about MorningStar in your year-end giving. All giving that is received on or before December 31st will be credited for the 2008 tax giving year.

Top Ways to Give
1. Appreciated stocks/bonds
2. Appreciated property
3. Gifts in kind/appreciated assets
4. Regular donations
5. Make a pledge for 2009

“The reason we got involved with MorningStar Partners was because I wanted everything that God had for me. I wanted to be a part of this ministry because I saw a great work that they were doing, and it’s like ‘I have to be a part of this, I want the reward.’

This ministry has integrity and that impresses me. I trust that when we send our money in, the people that are in charge of the finances seek God and I see the fruit… I just see that’s its awesome! It’s a good place to put your money.”

Bryan and Mona Gabriel, 8 Year MorningStar Partners and Nehemiah Project Sponsors

I deeply appreciate your consideration for making a year-end gift or pledge for 2009.

Blessings on your Christmas and New Year, and I pray that God prospers you body, soul and spirit.

Rick Joyner

PS: Sow a seed now and reap a harvest for ’09.”

I watched somewhere between 5-10 Lakeland meetings and the only time I saw Todd open a Bible was when He read and ‘preached’ from this passage, right before offering…birds of a feather…

  2. Can I just say that I have written and asked several ‘big name/famous/rich’ ministries for financial help, and NONE of them ever sent me a dime. I got tired of all the slick newsletters begging for money which I didn’t have. (Yes, I admit I have sincerely given to many through the years, but eventually I got fed up(and wised up)… and have gotten off 90% of the mailing lists). I wrote to them with real, desperate needs and some wrote back, with denials of help. Most ignored my pleas.

  3. It is interesting to see that many ministries, prophets and apostles who seemed to have no connection, are now showing their real face. It all comes together.

See how the list of names gets longer every day: Kenneth Copeland, John Arnott, Rick Joyner, Chuck Pierce, Todd Bentley, Paula White, Mike Murdock, and many many more (just look to the rigth, the list on this site). When they are under pressure, they show their real face and motives.

What is the connection? They all have the same father of lies, satan, the one who shows himself as an angel of light, but inside he is pure darkness.

  4. My prayer is that in this famine in the land all the false Third Wave ministries including Morning Star, Fresh Fire, TACF, etc. will die from lack of financial support in Jesus name!

  5. Rick Joyner:

“In the midst of the recent economic turmoil, the question that you and I are asking is: “How do I access God’s blessing and live from the Kingdom’s economy despite all of the world’s problems?” unquote

“Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life–what you shall eat, or what you shall drink–nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they? Which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothes?

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither labor, nor spin; and yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. But if God thus clothes the grass of the field, which exists today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we put on?’ “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own affairs. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
    (Mat 6:25-34)

So, asking “how do I access God’s blessings and live from the Kingdom economy” seems to indicate a person doesn’t live by the truths above.

If people like Rick repented of their merchandising and prostituting the Word, and the rest, and sought first the Kingdom, then they wouldn’t have a worry in the world.

  7. Here is the entire chapter of Genesis that Joyner basically picked and choosed the verses as he pleased. There are 10 verses between the ones Joyner gave! Verse 1 is about the famine that forces Issac to Gerar, while verse 12 occures when Issac is already in Gerar and after he denies he is (the beautiful) Rebekah’s husband to Abimelech (in order to protect himself). Verse 12 occures not in the land that was in famine, but in Gerar and pertains to actually planting crops (as Miriam said). I hope those who recieved Joyner’s letter where sharp enought to read the verses in between 1 and 12. Read:

“1Now there was a famine in the land, besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.
2The LORD appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you.

3″Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

    4″I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

5because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.”

    6So Isaac lived in Gerar.

7When the men of the place asked about his wife, he said, “She is my sister,” for he was afraid to say, “my wife,” thinking, “the men of the place might kill me on account of Rebekah, for she is beautiful.”

8It came about, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out through a window, and saw, and behold, Isaac was caressing his wife Rebekah.

9Then Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Behold, certainly she is your wife! How then did you say, ‘She is my sister’?” And Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘I might die on account of her.’”

10Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.”

11So Abimelech charged all the people, saying, “He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”

12Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,

    13and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;

14for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.

15Now all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with earth.

16Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are too powerful for us.”

17And Isaac departed from there and camped in the valley of Gerar, and settled there.” Genesis 26:1-17

  8. The true shepherds don’t fleece the sheep, they care for the sheep. People will give from their hearts to those who genuinely care for God’s people. And Shepherds should work for a living anyway, but that’s another story.

Is it any wonder that God chose to send His angel Gabriel to the only true shepherds in Israel at His first coming?

It is such spiritual irony that God would do it that way in essence telling those who called themselves shepherds they were not able to receive His revelation.

The true shepherds were, well they were true shepherds of the sheep. They were watching the sheep in the darkness ready to give their lives confronting wild beasts and thieves.

The Shepherds saw the Lord as they obeyed the revelation.

Immediately they shared with Mary and Joseph what the angel told them and they went everywhere after they left the stable telling anyone who listened that a Savior has been born. That is what a true shepherd does…He lifts up Jesus!

“For unto all of us has been born in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord.”

This is glad tidings of great joy. Let us forget the false shepherds at this time and focus on those who simply share the glad tidings that a loving God has sent to sinners a Savior. He is able to save us from the power of sin if we’ll ask Him. That is what He does.

Now here we are before the second coming of Jesus. Who are the true shepherds watching over the flock in the darkness protecting them from animals, crooks and liars?

Here is some Christmas joy to all of you who are true shepherds to whom God makes His revelations:

  9. More top ways of giving:

    1. Your first born.

    2. One quart of blood.

    3. Great, great grandmother’s wedding ring.

    4. Secure power of attorney from your aging, ill parent before your siblings do in order to increase the estate 100 fold by sowing with us.

    5. ‘Borrow’, aunt Mary’s savings found in a rolled up pair of socks in the back of her draw in order to surprise her with the hundred fold return. What better gift to give for the new year.

  10. This is very telling to me–he says at the end of his money grabbing thrust that he wants us to help him in their mission”to preach the gospel of the kingdom”. Whatever happened to the “Gospel of Jesus Christ” that Paul and the N.T. Apostles preached?

    Comment by Victoria | December 23, 2008

  11. Any ‘god’, with which you can do a financial deal, is not the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is typical of idol worship the world over; you do deals with the idol.

And it ‘works’ , the devil makes sure it works.

You couldn’t imagine Jesus or any of the Apostles asking, “How can i get the Father to bless me? What will it take to get the benefits of the Kingdom economy?”

  12. Thank you for reporting this article. I hope more people will see the truth about this “seed faith” doctrine. Of course, we should give to the Lord’s work but not to receive anything back. We should do it in love. I have given over the past 40 years and the Lord has always provided my needs plus a little extra.

  13. THE WORLD IS IN GREAT ECONOMIC TROUBLE AS U.S. housing slump deepens
By Emily Kaiser and Tomasz Janowski Emily Kaiser And Tomasz Janowski
WASHINGTON/SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Bleak housing data showed the United States and Britain were sinking deeper into recession and authorities from Washington to Tokyo worked hard to spend their way out of the worst downturn in decades.
Japan’s government on Wednesday approved its biggest-ever budget to revive its economy while U.S. President-elect Barack Obama sought to clinch a deal with congressional lawmakers on a massive stimulus package even before the Christmas Day.
“Japan cannot avoid the tsunami of the world recession, but it can try to find a way out,” Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso said announcing the budget.
“The world economy is in a once-in-a-hundred years recession. We need extraordinary measures to deal with an extraordinary situation,” he said.
A record drop in U.S. existing home sales and prices last month reported on Tuesday showed the world’s biggest economy was on track for what one Federal Reserve official said could be the longest downturn since the World War Two. Housing is at the root of the U.S. slump and the global malaise and economists expect the economy to decline much more in the current quarter after a 0.5 percent contraction in the third quarter. Britain, the world’s fifth-largest economy, is in an equally dire shape.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said house prices were set to fall by 10 percent next year, confirming the bleak outlook after Tuesday’s data showed the economy shrinking by 0.6 percent in the third quarter.
The relentless flow of bad news overshadowed rescue efforts and prompted a warning from European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet that investors could be overlooking the importance of steps already taken by policymakers.
Japan had its share of gloom this week, reporting a record drop in exports — the mainstay of an economy dogged by weak consumer spending — and a similarly sharp collapse in business sentiment.
    RECORD BUDGET FOR JAPAN
Grim data and warnings from the central bank that the worst may not be over fanned expectations that it will cut its key rate to zero from 0.1 percent and revive a policy of flooding banks with interest free cash it abandoned just two years ago.
Doing its part, Japan’s cabinet approved a record 88.5 trillion yen ($980.6 billion) budget for the next fiscal year starting in April. The plan boosts overall spending, excluding debt servicing costs, by 9 percent compared to this year’s initial budget and aims to accommodate part of 12 trillion yen in extra spending on government stimulus packages.
In Washington, Barack Obama’s team was nearing agreement with congressional Democrats on a huge emergency spending bill intended to jolt the weak U.S. economy and create 3 million jobs over two years, Vice President-elect Joe Biden said on Tuesday.
In recent days, government sources have talked about moving a bill through Congress next month with a price tag in the range of $675 billion to $775 billion over two years.
But rounds of aggressive interest rate cuts, bank bailouts, and massive spending totaling trillions of dollars, have failed to cheer up investors pounded by a daily barrage of news of layoffs, corporate losses and grim economic statistics.
On Tuesday, Spain, Europe’s fifth-largest economy, declared it had stumbled into recession and New Zealand data showed it was suffering its worst contraction in eight years.
    PRAYER FOR VICTIMS
In a telling sign how bad things have become, Australia’s religious leaders saw it necessary to speak up, calling for support for victims of the financial crisis and asking “how the international captains of finance could have got it so wrong.”
“We celebrate Christmas this year at a time of economic turbulence throughout the world unknown since the 1930s,” said Catholic Archbishop of Sydney Cardinal George Pell.
“This situation is unlikely to improve quickly, even here in Australia, so our first thoughts should be with those who have already lost their jobs,” he said.
Markets, resigned to the fact that emergency action may fail to prevent the worst global downturn since the Great Depression, struggled for direction on Wednesday as investors looked forward to the end of a horrid 2008.
Stocks in Sydney and Taiwan rose on the last day before the Christmas holiday but markets in Hong Kong Seoul and Tokyo followed Wall Street lower. Tokyo’s Nikkei average lost 2.4 percent as investors dumped Toyota and other auto-related stocks after the world’s top carmaker forecast its first-ever annual operating loss.
ECB chief Jean-Claude Trichet said markets were underestimating the impact of central banks’ and governments’ response to the financial crisis.
“There is an underestimation in the financial sphere of the very great importance of the decisions that were taken,” Trichet told said in a speech at a Paris think-tank on Tuesday.
