“When I was a kid, I read about David Wilkerson who took to Gospel to the gangs of New York. I even saw the movie “The Cross and the Switchblade” that was made about him. Many know about that, but most don’t know what happened in his church just eight years ago.

In the fall of 2001, Pastor David Wilkerson, of Times Square Church in New York City, was warned by God that a calamity was coming. For six weeks they felt an intense burden and enormous heaviness. A critical need for intercession was so profound that Pastor Wilkerson canceled everything on the church calendar – mission’s conferences, youth events and every guest speaker.

For six weeks, there wasn’t a sermon. Instead, there was intercession for our nation with weeping and repentance. They knew something was coming and that something was bad. And that something was soon. So they prayed. And prayed … and prayed.

Then Wilkerson felt God telling him something that seemed rather bizarre. He felt God telling him to make sandwiches – lots of sandwiches. What were they for? Who would eat them? That part wasn’t clear, but his church did what they believed God was telling them anyway.

And on the 10th of September they stayed up all night making hundreds and hundreds of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.* [see note below] By morning they had about 2,000 sandwiches. At 8:46 a.m. the first plane hit the World Trade Center and Times Square Church was ready to feed and minister to rescue workers and victims of our nation’s worst attack.

Making sandwiches all night is a strange thing to do. If someone told me to stay up all night making sandwiches, I’d probably tell them they were crazy. But if David Wilkerson says he’s heard something from God today, I think we’d be crazy not to listen.

He now says he feels the same thing he felt leading up to the attack by radical Islam.

Warren Buffett has said that our economy has “fallen off a cliff.” With the election of the most pro-abortion president (and Congress) in history, there’s no question that we deserve God’s judgment.

The bottom line is that we are economically and morally bankrupt .

So, when the guy who made the 2,000 sandwiches on Sept. 10 warns us: “AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN,” I think we would do well to heed it. And follow the words Wilkerson quotes from the prophet Jeremiah and “turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds.”

  1. Back on September 1, 2001, we helped our son get settled in his dorm room at NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology) in Newark. Was a very hot day, and I went into the lounge area next door to his room to rest. Looked out the window to see what part of NYC, if any, you could see from there. The only buildings visible from there were the Twin Towers. And then, for some reason unknown to me, I started to cry. The first thought that came to me was David Wilkerson’s prophecy about the city burning. I still kick myself for missing the deeper part of that, and all I could pray was “Lord, save those who can be saved”.

  3. As a followup: The author has been contacted and said that the story she shared was given her directly from someone in the church. There are others who said the story of the sandwiches was in a letter to supporters. At this point, I don’t care about the sandwich part of the story, but will not share it myself unless DW himself confirms it. :)

    It strikes me that it is no coincidence that the “deluded” charismatic church this day is caught up (still) in the deceptions of Lakeland.

    Just think, if all those “prophetic intercessors” at the time of Lakeland were really prophetic, they would not have been bothering with the Bentley’s “great, End Time REVIVAL!” They would have been on their knees, praying for God’s judgment on the economy to pass and/or warning and preparing the Church.

    I always think about the Monica Lewinsky affair when I think of how sin actually destroys.

    Bill Clinton said that he was getting a phone call from the leader of the Sudan who had Osama Bin Laden in custody at the very moment Monica was in the room having sex with him. Clinton was so busy with his intern, he was blinded to the opportunity being given him by the Sudan to take Bin Laden in custody.

    The same way, Lakeland was a huge, Satanic distraction from the true End Time events last summer that the true prophets of God were already seeing.

    The liars of the NAR will not heed nor see this coming catastrophe in advance, either as their people are being fed another pack of lies about Bentley now. It is a distraction to true intercessors to make sure they do not go to prayer.

  6. I will always remember what my pastor mentor had taught me, “Let’s go into the Word and see what God has to say about it”. II Chronicles 7:14 reads, ‘If My people which are called by My Name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land’. It doesn’t say if the world, it says if My people. The church needs to again find a place in the presence of His glory!

  8. Wilkerson’s prophecies are not exact in the way biblical prophecies are. Secondly prophecies of this nature were given as a call to repent.

    I might add that I find it shamefull that a minister would attempt to add to his reputation by giving such bogus prophecies that do not meet basic scriptural guidelines for prophecy. When will they learn that the Bible, “The Word of God”, is sufficient. And then be faithful teachers instead of puffers up of self. Perhaps 9/11 happened because David Wilkerson refused to repent of his false prophecies! It makes about as much sense as the other prophecies he has come up with.

    David Wilkerson seems a man that is dedicated to God’s work. I would definitely like to see the benefits to God’s people that would result from him not engaging in this conduct. The increased reputation it would bring to God’s people from repenting from these thigs is something I look forward to.

  9. I do believe David Wilkerson is a man of God and that we as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ should heed his warning. Other men of God are also giving out warnings and even non believers who see catastrophic things happening at least from a financial aspect. We as the body of believers need to live holy lives before our Lord and be ready for the church to be called home. Because of our atrocities here at home such as 40 million babies being killed and all the immorality going on its very believable that something of a catastrophic event could occur here. Whoever has not read “Dead Heat” by Joel Rosenberg should. Most important we need to be ready and living for Jesus.

I was surprised to read about David wilkerson’s prophecy because for over 2 years now the Lord has been saying to me that very terrible days are up ahead, he used words like horrific, frightful and he instructed me to warn people and to prepare. Well, I did not have a clue and did not understand what this meant but as I started to hear from the Lord more and the messages became more urgent I started going out and warning people. I wrote messages to churches, I warn people I meet almost everywhere.

    Then the Lord started giving me messages for the churches, He said they had turned their backs on Him going after Baal and after strange flesh. He said they say they belong to Him but they are not His; they lie, steal and fornicate and claim they belong to Him. if they do not repent they will face His judgement.
    Lately I have been hearing that we must be grounded in Him or we would not be able to stand for what is ahead. I have also heard someting I did not fully understand. It is “Lighten your load because of what is ahead” and “Get rid of the excess”
    I know with a certainty that something is uphead of us and I know that this is the time for christians to seriously fall on their faces before God and if their is anything that stands before you and God this is the time to reprnt.

    Last night, when we were getting ready for bed, Pam complained of a stomach ache. She will remain in the hospital on a forced fast, no food or water, for two days. This made me think of what the Lord said this week! On Sunday morning I had shared that the Lord is bringing down a new form of intercession. You are going to be called to intercede in a different way this week. Your assignment is going to be more clear this week than it has been in the last three weeks.

I have friends who were missionaries in India and they are setting up an orphanage and school amid great opposition. they have rescued little children from prostitution. They told us of an orphanage they knew that had rescued a little boy from paedophiles and a gang of men gathered outside and said send him out or we will kill everyone inside and burn the house down. they had to send the boy back out. Now which act is likely to trigger the tribulation more, that or greedy people. Or is the greed of America cause all other evils in the world.

    In revelation babylon is judged because it is drunk with the blood of the saints and also its greed. Is America babylon??

    I had the following dream of a coming Darkness five years ago. Often, people are ridiculed when they share a prophetic word, even by Christians. I realize also that there are all types of false prophecies everywhere. However, I am convinced that it is a warning from God concerning events that are now in the making and about to fall upon America. I care enough about God’s people to share the warning. The Darkness could refer to the collapse of the economy or a terrible terrorist attack on the nation. I do not know which. In one part of the dream, there were six men dressed in black and riding six black motorcycles. I have wondered for a long time what they symbolized. It could be events or it also could mean years. If it means years, then six years would have elapsed before the Darkness would fall upon the land. The dream occurred in 2004, Six years would make it 2010, which is next year.     A DREAM OF THE COMING DARKNESS

    In the fall of 2004, I had a dream. It was so real and terrifying that I had to get up from my bed. The following is an account of the dream:

    “I was visiting my birthplace, a small village in the beautiful Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia. I pulled my car off the road and parked in front of the old Methodist Church. I got out of the car to stretch my legs. The day was absolutely pristine and picture perfect. The sky was cloudless, the sun bright, and the air fresh and crystal clear. I was admiring the beautiful flowers growing in people’s yards. Many were busy working in their yards and gardens on such a gorgeous day. There was such peace and serenity.

    I turned and looked toward the southeast. I was astonished at what I saw. A billowing cloud of complete blackness was suddenly approaching the town. It completely blotted out all light and scenery where it advanced and covered. It approached the village limits, which was a river southeast of the community.

    I made the comment, “Oh my God, the Darkness has come!” I sensed great evil and danger in it. I looked around to see if anyone else saw what I saw. To my amazement, people were oblivious to the approaching wall of darkness. They were still busy working in their yards and around their homes.

    I made the statement, “They do not realize what it will be like when the Darkness comes. All of the sun light, beauty of nature and peace will disappear when the Darkness moves in. Everything in their lives will suddenly and drastically change.”
    I turned to get into my car to flee the approaching Darkness. All of a sudden, six motorcyclists drove out of the blackness and across the bridge into the town. I gasped, “The advance guard of the Darkness has arrived!” These riders were on black motorcycles and dressed in black leather from head to toe.

    I jumped into my car as they approached. They slowed down as they reached my car and the leader yelled out, “Don’t you dare leave!” I locked my car doors as he approached and floored the gas pedal. My tires squealed as I fled. The motorcyclists pursued me and tried to force me off the road. I swerved into two and caused them to wreck. The rest pursued me for many miles and shot at me.

    After some distance, I approached some men working on the road and asked for help or to make a call for me to the police. The cyclist were no longer in sight. I started to get out of the car but heard a voice from above warning me to not to get out of the car but to drive on. Finally, I realized that I was running out of gas and stopped down the road to refuel. I pulled up to a gas station and started refueling. The dream ended with me praying for God’s protection while I refueled.
    When I awoke, I was trembling with fear. I got up to settle myself.

    The parts of the dream that stood out were:

    1. The Darkness suddenly came upon the land.
    2. Before it came, all was serene, beautiful and peaceful.
    3. No one saw it coming.
    4. An advanced guard came into the community first on a reconnaissance mission.
    5. The Darkness then moved in and totally blotted out all light and beauty. Life drastically changed for people.
    6. I fled for safety.

    America is on the threshold of something cataclysmic that will radically change life, as we know it. A wall of Darkness is about to suddenly fall upon this land.

    John 14:13 tells us that the Holy Spirit will tell us of things to come. He warns us in advance to prepare us for what is ahead.

    Hebrews 11:7 records, “…Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with Godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household….”

    An advance guard of this Darkness is already at work. People are living in a false sense of complacent security. I believe that the cup of iniquity is full in America, which will unleash divine judgment upon this nation. Something is about to shatter the hardness of this wicked nation’s heart.

    God has revealed to me that a Great Awakening is about to burst forth upon the scene. This Awakening will give America and the world one last chance to repent. Most importantly, it will bring the Bride of Christ together. Historically, Awakenings have preceded calamity. This could happen again. However, the coming Darkness may actually precede the Final Awakening and be the cause of people turning to God, which would bring about the Awakening.

    May God’s people listen to the warning of the Holy Spirit and move with Godly fear to the saving of their households and neighborhoods. God desires for us to prepare an ark of safety to which people can flee for refuge when disaster comes. Let us listen and quickly move. Darkness is coming!

    Sounds like the Hells Angels literally!

    I am of the opinion that the darkness is just that. A hidden secretive manipulation of the “enemy” on a wide scale that until recently has been moving and growing relatively undetected. I say relatively because I am aware, as are others, of a very strong antichrist movement in my city. I have commented before about the “head” of the satanist church in my city – attending a well known bible college. This person was asked to leave. I am also aware of people (satanists, spiritualists, witches) who have successfully been through Bible college and are now ministers. They actively and with efficient organizational skills enter the churches and become leaders. They then teach ‘christianisms’(God-speak) to their own (coven members) and deliberately undermine Jesus work within His own walls – the church.

    They are also involved in stalking people, even to the point of tapping phones, bugging houses, tracking cars. I know this sounds unbelievable but many, many people are involved in this and I know first hand some of these people personally (my own brother and father are involved in satanism (to a degree – by that I mean I don’t think they know how bad it really is, although they do stalk people for their coven and are involved in spells, witchcraft, ‘dream-weaving’, etc) – but my mother, younger brother and myself are Christians.

    In my city the spiritualists, witches, satanists are in some connection with the bikers – and also involved in drug deals – and there’s lots of money involved in all of this. Corruption in a large scale is rife.

    This morning as I was praying I felt Like God was asking me to pray for His righteousness. I don’t know whether this will be as a judgment or as revelation and conviction of God’s truth. The Holy Spirit convicts of righteousness, of sin and of judgment.

    Mostly I feel that God is Perfect and all of His ways are just. That means that even though we may know of and witness terrible unjustness at times, we can trust God at all times. The darkness does not have to consume those who walk in God’s light. The world may be covered with darkness and that darkness may impact us and effect us AND WILL CERTAINLY TRY US – but it will not overcome us.

    But I am not saying that the darkness evident in my city is the same darkness in your dream. Perhaps there is a very serious judgment to come because of the evil in our cities.

  20. David Wilkerson, is a well meaning and sincere man. But he is not a prophet. He needs to stick to doing other things, and leave the prophecies to the prophets. I read years ago his book on “The Vision and Beyond’. Well all that book did was get a lot of Christians running in anxiety, and frankly those prophecies totally failed to deliver! Anyone can simply say bad things (and be specific) are going to happen in the future–and guess what?-Wait long enough and it will happen (eventually) I could for example say there is going to be a large earthquake in San Francisco. Eventually the earthquake will happen, but that doesnt mean I am validated as a prophet! Nope, David W needs to stay away from his prophecies of doom. He is false, and to be honest I think somewhat sad as well.

As i was listening to david wilkersons anguish preaching the Lord showed me one of the areas we as the Body of Christ have strayed away from and it is Priestly duties.We are called to be a Royal Priesthood Rev 1 v 6 and 1 peter 2 v 5, our way of priestly duties have been lost, we are to be TRUE MINISTERS unto the Lord offering up spiritual sacrifices. We as beleivers are ALL held as the office of priests and are to perform our priestly duties ministering to the Lord offering sacrifices of service, turning and submitting our whole hearts unto Him, worshipping Him with our Body, Soul and Strength, offering up true worshipful attitudes of heart, ministering to the Lord in prayer and sacrifices of praise.
    The Lord questions us are we DOING, fullfilling these priestly duties on a daily basis let alone a weekly basis.
    Or has the world taken part of our dedication, commitment and time causing us to forget our true spiritual priestly duties as a Royal Priesthood chosen by the Lord himself. we need to recognise in these end times what the important things in our faith and relationship is with the Lord.
    The Lord says we are being ROBBED by the enemy, he is diverting and distracting US form ministering to the Lord in these priestly duties, how is he diverting – well we may be busy doing things within ministry which is good and Godly but id it is taking our time away from spending time in the Lords Presence we are being diverted away with busy lives in trying to serve all the time rather than spending QUALITY TIME in the PRESENCE of the Lord. This is the enemies objective a busy Christian will be too occupied with serving and doing good rather than getting in the PRESENCE of the Lord to hear the TRUE instruction and direction from the Lord Himself.
    The Lord calls us now to come into His presence and fulfill our priestly duties in ministering to the Lord so He can saturate us with what He wants to deposit deep into our spirits by Prophetic Revelation directly from the throne room. Bless the Lord of Glory…..

  23. Very interesting posts. Thanks to all who take the time to share with others. I wanted to share something that God revealed to me a few years ago. He showed me a fallen church…that the people who were his remnant were called from the church and because of that, it fell. I got the impression that God is not very happy with “churches” and that his church has been and always will be his people, not a building, not a business like it has become. These people are on the run and hated by the mainstream/lukewarm christians. I don’t know why they are hated but it is a matter of life and death. It was a beautiful thing…we were on the run and each day trusted in God to supply our needs, nor were we worried about such nonsense. We gathered in houses or wherever he led us. I wasn’t sure if I’d be alive for that time, or if he was just showing me something–he does that sometimes, but I hoped that I would be because what a beautiful illumination that shined on his people. And they relied entirely on him and by him. The demons were afraid and in awe of these people because of how brightly they shined. (He showed me the illumination around his people one day in a church–it was so cool because the people who were illuminated were the people that I radiated toward–those I loved instantly)
    It really doesn’t matter what tragedy befalls God’s people, because he will be right in the middle of it, directing and winning. This is something that will happen in the future. He is gathering his people. If he calls you from your church, go. From what I gather, all of his people will be called from the church–it has become corrupted. Eventually, church will be held in homes and secretly. Get ready to be hated…(I’m sure some of you already are–I’m considered a God freak and weird by most people. Luckily, I’ve never cared if people accept me. God bless you all.

  25. People better heed Wilkerson when he says that things are going to get messy fiscally/financially/economically for this U.S. in the future.

    John Stossel reported that Medicare is $30 trillion dollars in the hole. Social Security is $46 trillion dollars in the hole.

    All taken together, all federal gov’t programs are over $100 trillion dollars in the hole. One Senator said that if we continue to pay what we do on the interest and principle, it will currently take over 32,000 years to pay back this debt and all the future forecated debt.

    Obama is printing money like it is going out of style. His current spending trajectory over the next 8 years has him spending us into debt at 4 times what Bush spent, and I thought that it was hard to equal or surpass Bush’s big spending ways, but apparently it is not for “Duh One.”

    More than one noted economist – be it from Harvard or Yale -has said that hyperinflation (due to money being printed like it is going out of style) seems likely in the not-too-distant-future.

    Pray, pray, pray for the U.S.

    I have occasionally looked at this site, but something has come to my attention recently that ties in with several comments I have seen in this thread. I thought it might be useful to some of you.

    I am not a prophet. I am not predicting anything specific. However, the date, the Ides of March, has come to my attention recently, in a very interesting way.

    If you subtract 911 days from 9/11/12,(the 11 year anniversary of 9/11/01) you will find yourself on 3/15/10, that is, the Ides of March next year. Most of us know about the illuminati practice of using occult numerology in their false flag attack plans. Madrid was 911 days AFTER 9/11, for example.

    It gets more interesting. On that date, at sundown, the real jewish New Year begins, that is 1 Nissan. Coincidence?

    I am sure the fate of Caesar in 44 bc and the speculation about the 44th POTUS meeting a similar fate is not lost on prophecy watchers.

    The illuminati/new world order folks love to hide their nasty plans in plain sight. Many references to 9/11 were in movies and television shows prior to the event. I have noticed that 3:15 has a way of showing up here and there too. Did anybody see Amityville Horror? 3:15 am? The witching hour? What are they telling us?

    I believe that a photo out of a VATICAN press conference recently seemed to be showing 3-1-5 by the arrangement of the items in the picture. hmmmm.

    I was interested to see that other ppl have had visions and promptings about this date. I cannot say what, if anything will happen on this day, but I sure will be prepared, and watching on that day. Also I will be warning anyone who will listen to be ready as best they can be for what lies ahead.

    Jesus is coming soon, even so come Lord Jesus.

    As I already wrote today on another thread,I took this day off to be with the Lord.
    I was blessed that I could minister to Him just like You said!I always minister to the Lord but today was a very especial day because I had to deal with hurts from the past and the Lord was so gracious (as He always is) in ministering back to me and giving me good advise.
    It’s good when we forget about everything else and just minister to the Lord with our ALL!
    The Lord loves to be loved!
    Even though I already love the Lord with everything there is in me,I asked Him to increase my hunger and to give me more love and passion for Him!
    I pray the same for whomever reads these words!
    Remember that Jesus loves You (individually) and that no one can replace You in His heart!
    Right now,I feel such a joy in my heart and so much peace!
    I lost a day of work (financially)but I have gained much more!Money cannot buy spiritual treasures!

As far back as 1979, I was noting the lukewarm mainline churches…the bike riders came riding in with their Prosperity Gospel – ahead of the dark cloud of high inflation in the economy–greed was increasing..nobody was saving. It was ‘name it and claim it–cattle on a thousand hills. Prosperity teachings roared over the TV waves into every home. My bro. Jim and I were wanting to be disciples of Christ–believing in ’self-denial’–but all we saw were Christians eating, drinking and making Christmas merry! It got so bad that we were persecuted in all churches, who were under this Prosperity Darkness — loving the evil Christmas Spirit…of self-indulgence. I was called a ‘doomsday’ (unhappy) person because I was warning against all this self-indulgence being condoned in Christianity–calling itself the fulfillment of the American Dream–a real Dark Cloud over everyone…full of false hopes. I saw this Amer. Dream was not coming from the Holy Spirit. It frightens me to see how much of what we thought was Christianity is only an affront to the Cross of Christ! Some call it Churchanity. But I note many who escaped Churchanity still continue in the gluttony of Christmas..we have a challenge presented to us today to FREE ourselves of the lies that God is pleased with the practices and teachings of this ‘everything is beautiful just because we go to Church’..the promises of the false Church Spirits–let’s face it–these Church Ministries are Caretakers of Idols. Churches are idols– venerated objects going back 1500 yrs. In these last days, God is revealing the truth– Let us return with a full heart toward God and stand firm on His Word, the simplicity of the Gospel–JESUS ALONE..our only righteousness…expose the Masonic workers of Darkness. We must be overcomers–putting aside Prosperity Dreams. Sober up–for the days are evil. American Dreams are lies that entangle us in worldliness, affections for mammon…we are to guard our hearts…putting our confidence in the substance of things unseen, above. Don’t be deceived, Stand firm, watching and waiting for His return. Come Lord Jesus.

  32. to follow up my previous comment re the Ides of March, has anybody noticed the television show “flash forward” where one of the main characters, a detective called DEMETRI NOH, is told he will be murdered on 15 March 2010? The name Demetri means “belonging to Demeter” the harvest goddess, mother of the creature Persephone whose statue adorns the congress building, and the surname NOH refers to a Japanese theatre performance where the object is to find the hidden meaning. Right on cue, a Nazi in prison introduces the element of KABALLAH being the reason for the blackout that is the premise of the show lasting 137 seconds, the gematria value of the word KABALLAH. They are really trying to tell us something. I would advise everybody to be prepared for ANYTHING on that date, there is definately something planned.

There is some reason to think it might be an assassination attempt on Obama, or just as likely another 9/11 style terror attack. Either way I am not looking forward to it, and hope to be ready for anything.

  37. my goodness i have been reading these comments and i am very surprised how numerology and the illuminaty agenda is promoted as fact. I dont know if this gov and the world govts are controlled or not by a group of elite people,but if it is, God is in control of everything,so the body of Christ don’t worry about tommorrow for the Lord is with us, yes God will give us a warrning but I think he will give it to us individually,we all have different needs so we are going to here according to it.I have heard of actions towards the church and the economy but lets be truthful God’s judgements are just and just like in the times of Noah he will look after his children.
