Doug Addison: Sleepiness During the Day Could be God Trying to Speak to You!
I just reported on Doug Addison claiming a stake in the California Revival business here: Evangelism Angels Come from Africa to California
As a little bit more information on him, Doug Addison says he had a dramatic encounter with Jesus in 1985 after having a reading done at the Berkley Institute for Psychics.
Doug Addison sells his ‘prophetic’ services here, and evidently, from what he says and does – and who he hangs with – he has not left the New Age and Psychic behind. Merely adding the ‘Jesus’ and ‘Christian’ tags onto the exact same ungodly occultic beliefs, practices and principles and repackaging it as Christian prophecy.
Doug Addison and his wife, Linda, are founders of InLight Connection. They fled to Moravian Falls, North Carolina after Doug was warned by ‘prophet’ Bob Jones that God would take his life if he remained in California. However, it seems that Doug Addison’s focus is now back on California, and that has also seemingly been sanctified by ‘papa’ Bob Jones generously naming his alleged angel.
Anyway, here’s some ‘Prophetic Insight’ from Doug Addision’ site here - note the scripture twisting and taking something that is ungodly and sanctifying it to be a divine manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Note also this ‘prophecy’ being done apart from an actual relationship with the person of the real living God, replacing it instead with being led via manifestations, feelings and experiences – a crucial and fundamental difference between true and false prophecy.
“Sleepiness During the Day Could be God Trying to Speak to You!
By Doug AddisonI recently read Acts 10:10 and I noticed that Peter fell asleep during prayer and went into a trance and received revelation from God. Last week when I was speaking at a conference in South Africa the presence of angels came in the room and the crowd all got real sleepy. I am not really one to take naps during the day. A few years ago I was at a conference sitting on the front row and suddenly a wave of sleepiness hit me hard. I leaned my head back and drifted for just a few moments, and it lifted. I looked over at my friend sitting next to me and the same thing had happened to him. We concluded that when a woman sat down next to us who had been personally mentored by and ministered for years with Corrie ten Boom, (a minister who survived the Holocaust), the presence of God and ministering angels came with her. The anointing of God was so strong that it caused those sitting around her to experience a biblical trance which most thought was just sleepiness.
Yesterday I was about to buy a product on the internet. Then I got really sleepy all of a sudden, which seemed very unusual since I had just had a cup of tea. I lay down for just a few minutes and it lifted. All of a sudden I was struck with the idea to research the product further even though it was advertised on TV. I found a Web site that exposed it as a rip-off and that there are products available for a fraction of the price that work better. I am now more aware of the waves of unusual sleepiness that come suddenly. The next time you get hit with a wave of sleepiness that seems out of character, instead of getting a cup of coffee you may want to lay down for a minute. It could be God trying to speak to you!
Blessings,
Doug Addison”

California Revival Dreaming – Gwen Shaw and The Spirit of Lakeland
‘AriseMyLove’ said:
“Gwen Shaw of the End Times Handmaidens and Servants said that even though Todd Bentley fell, the “Spirit of Lakeland” would be coming to Southern California as per Wendy Alec’s prophesy of one year ago.
In other words, batten down the hatches in Southern California.”

The Miss California & Miss USA Carrie Prejean Row
I was going to remark on the hypocrisy going on among certain conservative Christian groups surrounding the Miss USA pageant, when I found someone had already effectively said most of I wanted to. Thanks to Cathy Mickels for alerting me to this article which is published below.
Just to add a couple of comments of my own first, Fox News report Carrie Prejean here saying that: ‘God was testing my character and faith’ – while she apparently has no problem parading her ‘assets’ and immodestly letting it all hang out in a skimpy bikini contrary to scriptural guidlelines.
The Christian Post report here that Carrie Prejean’s school, San Diego Christian College, said -
“As a community we congratulate Carrie on this accomplishment,” the school stated in an update of a story on Prejean. “She is a great example of a student who is seeking to have an impact on the world for Christ.”
Huh?! Apart from the fluffing and the evasion in giving the actual biblical answer to what she thought about gay marriage – this is what she actually said:
“And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” she continued. “No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”
how’s that impacting the world for Christ? [Over promoting American apple pie 'moral' values and those 'old-fashioned' values which are promoted by her family?] Honestly?
The Christan Post also report -
“Prejean is … also active in her community, serving in a ministry that helps women in the adult entertainment industry, volunteering at the local International Ministry Center where she has helped refugees learn to speak English, and mentoring children in foster care through the program Voices for Children.”
Carrie Prejean may be a really lovely girl. I respect that she said the little she did, and I am not knocking either her sincerity. Though this post is not really directed at her, but others, it does also have to be said she has been deceived, is living in a [false] Christianised version of cloud cuckoo land and needs to rouse herself against it and get real if she really wants to impact the world for Christ.
It is the others – not Carrie – that I am really directing this article at - those people who are currently using Carrie Prejean as their poster girl in their campaign against gay marriage and/or make such ridiculous statements as quoted – that DO know much better and now show themselves as blatant hypocrits.

“Miss USA Controversy – A Pastor Responds
http://www.sliceoflaodicea.com/culture-war/miss-usa-controversy-a-pastor-responds/
Apr 24 by Ingrid SchlueterI received this letter today from Pastor Larry DeBruyn of Franklin Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He has given me permission to publish it. Christians today are so obsessed with the moral squalor of the heathen in Sodom that they are missing the squalor within the Church. It appears that nakedness, in the cause of conservatism, is A-OK. (Concerned Women for America today joined many other conservative groups in holding up Carrie Prejean as the newest conservative hero.)
Ingrid,
I feel compelled to share my thoughts regarding the hullabaloo presently going on about Miss California and the Miss USA beauty pageant. Desperate to have their concerns about traditional marriage espoused in a public forum, evangelical Christianity, rapidly becoming marginalized in our society’s mainstream, is groping for almost anyone to give a voice for the traditional institution of marriage, one I fully endorse (marriage should be a covenant commitment between a man and a women for life).
The irony of this whole business is that here was a scantily clad woman—this of course can provoke lust in men (Matthew 5:27-29)—who was asked about marriage by a judge who supposedly isn’t even attracted to women. She gives the politically incorrect answer and in doing so, alienated the politically correct judges, and forfeited possible victory in the beauty pageant. By giving a correct answer to a loaded question about marriage, and by doing so without hardly any clothes on, Miss Prejean has now become the cause célèbre amongst conservatives and evangelicals for her affirmation of biblically correct marriage.
Admittedly, I at first joined the admiration society of the Miss USA contestant for boldly standing up for her beliefs in a hostile and prejudiced environment, until I realized my disconnect, until I began to think biblically about the whole matter, and recall the scriptural passages condemning nakedness. Instinctively, Adam and Eve covered themselves after sinning (Genesis 3:7). Correspondingly, they became conscious of their sin and their nakedness (By the way God covered Adam and Eve too, Genesis 3:21.). I think of Noah’s two sons who saw his nakedness (Genesis 9:18 ff.). I think of the High Priest who was commanded not to ascend the altar lest “his nakedness” be exposed (Exodus 20:26). In other words, in reverence to God the High Priest’s leg was not even to be exposed. I think of the Leviticus passages that command, “thou shalt not expose the nakedness thereof . . .” (Leviticus 18).” And women are to dress modestly that their prayers be not hindered (1 Timothy 2:8-9).
The parade of naked or semi-clothed bodies in our culture indicates our society’s desensitization to, if not outright denial, of sin (Remember, when Adam and Eve first discovered they were sinners, they instinctively covered themselves.). Years ago in the middle of the previous century, I had a friend who was a missionary amongst the Stone Age people of the territory then known as New Guinea. On one of his furloughs in the states, he remarked to me one day that all the while—for reason of the Gospel’s penetration into their hearts—the natives were putting clothes on, we in so-called “Christian America” seemed to be taking them off!
I recognize that I am not the last word on the subject. I grew up on the sandy summer beaches of Lake Michigan, and was on the high school swim team. During my teen age and young adult years in the 60s, I witnessed the girls’ swimsuits become skimpier and skimpier. I recognize God uses sinners. But I am aware that we sinners can also attempt to use God. I have no pretension of being a self-righteous prude. I have had, as with most all other men, a problem with lust, something Jesus pointedly warned about. So what really disturbs me as a pastor is observing how easily we Christians accommodate our values to the culture’s, to the system called the world, and seemingly without any tinge of conscience. As Christians, we are to use but not abuse the world, and God will be the judge of whether we were users or abusers, won’t He?
I can only go by the Word, the Holy Scriptures. It seems to me that one aspect of worldliness involves “the lusts of the flesh” (1 John 2:16). Furthermore, the Bible says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regards to its lusts” (Romans 13:14). After their conversion, Paul reminds the Ephesians that, “Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest” (Ephesians 2:3). And the Apostle Peter pleaded, “Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul” (1 Peter 2:11).
The prevalence of nudity and semi-nudity in our culture may help explain—there is no excuse for terrorism—why fundamentalist Muslims, whose women dress in burkhas (i.e., loose garments with veiled holes for the eyes), detest the west (See http://www.frbaptist.org/bin/view/Ptp/PtpTopic2002-01-14).
This whole beauty pageant controversy provides a sad commentary on both the state of the culture and to some extent, the values prevalent amongst Christians today. We have been, and are being, desensitized to nudity. Miss California may be the newest heroine amongst a desperate conservative sub-culture that sees our society sinking into a moral abyss, but this whole business ought to remind Christians of how the prevalence of human nakedness indicates our having been removed from God’s righteousness.
Respectfully,
Pastor Larry DeBruyn”

The Astrologer Who Has More Integrity Than The Church’s Popular Prophets Have
Article from here -
“Bulgaria investigates astrologist for quake claim
Bulgarian prosecutors launched an inquiry on Tuesday to establish whether a famous astrologist who had forecast an earthquake that failed to take place had committed the crime of spreading false information.
Hundreds of people from the southern city of Haskovo slept in tents and their cars on Saturday night after astrologist Emil Leshtanski said an earthquake with a magnitude of up to 7.0 on the Richter scale would rock the city that night.
Leshtanski had said the tremor would cause death and serious damage to the city of some 80,000 people, on the day predominantly Christian Orthodox Bulgarians celebrate Easter.
Bulgarians are highly superstitious, with psychics, healers and fortune-tellers enjoying wide popularity in the Balkan country of 7.6 million.
Panic gave way to anger once the predicted quake did not take place and several people in Haskovo said they would take Leshtanski to court for causing them distress.
Prosecutors said they will be collecting evidence in the case for up to two months on suspicion of spreading false information and causing panic. The astrologist faces up to two years in jail if convicted.
He published an apology to the citizens of Haskovo in a national newspaper where he writes daily zodiac forecasts.
Italian scientist Gioacchino Giuliani predicted a major earthquake around L’Aquila weeks before disaster struck the city on April 6, killing 294 people, but was reported to the authorities for spreading panic.”
Admittedly this guy, Emil Leshtanski, is facing criminal charges which may have forced his arm, but at LEAST he admitted he got it wrong and apologised for it publicly. Unlike Bob Jones, Todd Bentley and all the other prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation who never admit they were wrong, never admit they spread false information, let alone apologise for it - they just add even more deceit upon the original deceit and the lie gets even bigger. They carry on blatantly regardless.
But to their shame their followers just do not care. They really do deserve what they get then – fleeced and led astray by these men into spiritual insanity and delusion on the ever widening path of death.
Do the church really consider their souls of so little import? Or indeed God’s word?
Church, come back to HIM, your first love while there is still time.
God, bring your holiness and your purity back into the church! Bring back fear of you that your servants will serve you with fear and trembling, avoiding and not tolerating any evil, instead of treating you and your word with such a blatant disregard as they do now.
Somali Pirates tricked into Sharia Law trap
Article by William Wallis from here, 24th April 2009
“International community gives Somali gov’t heavy financial push
The unprecedented show of support for the country’s fragile transitional government at an international donor conference in Brussels will go towards maintaining and enlarging an embattled 5,000-strong African Union peacekeeping force, made up of Burundian and Ugandan troops, and towards training Somali security forces.
International donors pledged $213m on Thursday towards stabilising Somalia, galvanised by the threat to world trade posed by Somali pirates.
Ahmedou Ould Abdullah, the United Nations envoy to Somalia, said the commitments, led by the EU’s $72m (€56m, £49m), but which included a surprise pledge from Iraq, exceeded requests by about a third. He was as encouraged by the number of high-level international diplomats who showed up. Some delegates took this as a sign of a dawning realisation that naval vessels from around the world now patrolling the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean would be insufficient to curtail an epidemic of attacks by Somali pirates.
The attacks have pushed up shipping insurance costs and hampered international trade. “You cannot tackle piracy effectively at sea unless you tackle the root causes of piracy on land which [are] lawlessness and the insurgency,” Nicholas Bwakira, the African Union envoy to Somalia, told the Financial Times. He and other delegates expressed optimism that Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, the new Somali president and erstwhile leader of a 2006 ruling coalition of Islamists, was making real efforts to reconcile warring clans, and re-establish the authority of the state.
There have been 15 past attempts to create a viable national government since the 1992 overthrow of Siad Barré led to the collapse of Somali state institutions and the descent into clan war. The bitter experience of US troops and UN peacekeeping troops, who were forced into a humiliating withdrawal in the early 1990s, has deterred greater international intervention to halt the resulting humanitarian crisis and help Somalis rebuild the state.
But recent pirate attacks and the success of Islamist insurgents, some of whom are allegedly connected to al-Qaeda, appears to have put Somalia back on the radar. More than 60 countries were represented at Thursday’s’s conference. This saw Sheikh Sharif flanked by Ban ki-Moon, UN secretary-general, and Javier Solana, the EU’s foreign policy chief, among other international officials.
Mr Sharif and a coalition of other mainly Islamist Somalis were driven out of the country when Ethiopian troops invaded in 2006, with support from Washington. But the presence of the Ethiopian troops fuelled an Islamist insurgency which has increasingly drawn support from foreign jihadist elements. The Ethiopians have now withdrawn, but left insurgents in control of large parts of southern and central Somalia. They have continued attacks against the transitional government in Mogadishu, the capital, in spite of Mr Sharif’s own Islamist credentials and his efforts to promote broader reconciliation.
Mohamed Abdullahi Omar, Somalia’s foreign minister, said he believed a popular decision by parliament last weekend to implement Islamist Sharia law as national law, would undermine support for the insurgents, some of whom are fighting for just that. In an interview with the FT, he said the real answer to the threat of piracy was to fund and equip Somali forces capable of patrolling their own waters, and taking the fight to the pirates in their bases on land. “We could do this at 1 per cent of the cost of keeping the international flotilla in the water,” he said.”
Pastor Denounces Nigerian Churches Who Profit From “Witchcraft”
Article by Konye Obaji Ori from here, 23rd April 2009
“Nigerian Withcraft: Pastor fights deceitful counterparts
Attacks fellow pastor and calls for a stop to the deceit
A Nigerian pastor has called on fellow pastors in Nigeria to stop deceiving people with the notion of witchcraft. Apostle John Okoriko, the founder and president of Solid Rock Kingdom Church in Nigeria has described the practice of pastors as shameful and manipulative. However such assumed witches and wizards are always the poor in society.
“It is embarrassing in 21st century where every nation is going scientific and to space that we are still talking about witchcraft. It is time we faced reality and not absurdity,” the pastor was quoted as saying.
The scotching attack was specifically aimed at renowned evangelist, church founder, film actor and movie producer, Mrs. Helen Ukpabio, who claims to be able to identify witches, deliver them from their evil power, or cast them to the abyss.
“This thing is dragging our state backward; people have been brainwashed to think negatively. If they suffer a slight misfortune in their businesses instead of looking for practical solution, the pastors will tell them that they are attacked by witches and the person will become a slave to the pastors. It is sad,” the pastor added.
Helen Ukpabio, the acclaimed witchcraft expert recently hosted
a crusade in Akwa-Ibom state of Nigeria where she allegedly identified 500 witches. According to reports The 500 people, mostly children, voluntarily went out to label themselves witches or wizard in the crusade themed: Coven on Naked Wire.According to the fuming pastor, “If this state (Akwa-Ibom state) has been taken over by witchcraft, why can’t we use witchcraft to achieve good things; at least win international football matches? All we need to do is put eleven bewitched boys on the pitch and win the world cup.”
Eyewitness reports have claimed that the delivered witches and wizards were asked by Mrs. Ukpabio to attend the various branches of her church for eight months for them to be monitored and properly delivered.
Pastor Okoriko told reporters that Helen Ukpabio’s claim of delivering 500 witches and wizards was nothing but a charade since there were no such number of witches in Akwa-Ibom state. Such a claim is fraudulent and ungodly especially as they (the delivered witches and wizards) have been asked to attend the various branches of her church for eight months.
Pastor Helen Ukpabio has used the film industry to create a certain credibility for herself as an expert and force in the spiritual realm.
Despite the poverty, hardship and suffering that the political and economic instability in Nigeria creates amongst the poor, the acclaimed deliverer attributes it all to the making of witches and wizards. In her movies, there is always a a certain display of witchcraft powers which eventually gets subdued by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The charismatic pastor who lives in a 60 million Naira house in Calabar, southern Nigeria, has earned herself a huge crowd and followership across the country, as peope continue to seek deliverance from witches and wizards in their everyday lives.”
