Domionist Prophet Thomas Manton IV Arrested For Trafficking Porn

“Nairobi – Kenyan police has arrested an American preacher who faces charges of trafficking pornographic material, police said on Wednesday. Thomas Manton IV, a self-styled prophet, was detained late on Tuesday following a complaint by a woman who said he posted pornographic pictures of her on a website. “He will be charged for trafficking pornographic material and being in Kenya illegally,” a police officer said on condition of anonymity. The country’s top police spokesperson, Eric Kiraithe, and the criminal investigation department chief, Festus Malinge, confirmed the preacher was in custody but refused to elaborate. Thomas Manton IV used to hold weekly religious services in a central Nairobi hotel and describes himself on his website as “God’s voice to the nations”.

His biography boasts that he has healed the lame, the deaf and the dumb and that his countless prophecies included the September 11 terror attacks and “the Western Bank/Gaza conflicts (sic)”.

Among the best-selling DVDs listed on his online store are “Kill the Middleman”, “God’s Path to Promotion” and “How to Become Devil Proof”. – AFP”

Endtimespropheticwords comments  – I had never heard of this guy before. However a quick trip to his website tells us all we need to know to see whether he’s of God. I think it says much that Manton wants me to pay to hear a word allegedly from GOD. That says it all. Here’s a foretaste from a prophetic DVD  -

When I watched 9.00 o’clock Citizen TV news here in Kenya last night, It came as a real shocker to behold a man who even prophesied the re-election of president Mwai Kibaki back to power in the bloody 2007 elections. His voice was so powerful that his DVD was re-played live to the President just a few days before his controversial re-election at a prominent city church-in Lang’ata, Nairobi. I have no problem with Manton, but anyone who claims hears THE LORD, MUST surely depart from evil,without which (holiness) the bible says it is impossible to see God. I do not want to Judge Manton, but I pray that he will find God’s deliverance from his personal addiction to pornography. otherwise for now our ears are forever shut to his prophetic utterances

    As to whether the man – Prophet Thomas Manton is a perfect man – God knows (…. or He is working on the matter).

    But as for this specific media story, there is certainly more to it than meets your eye. Don’t mind – you didn’t get all the details. Read this …

    In the run-up to the infamous Kenya 2007 presidential elections, this Brother came out too strongly on some issues. He was just too outspoken during the whole election process.

    For example, he spoke too strongly (and too publicly) against some key Kenyan politicians whose evil lives he exposed “too” vividly. He prophesied that God would not have them in the positions they were seeking. And true to Manton’s word, these guys lost their bids so stragely – even after everyone was sure they had their political moves perfectly played out!!!

    That big man could have habored bitterness against this prophet guy is therefore not hard to figure out. In the eyes of many Kenyan Christians, it was only a question of “when” – not “if” – scores would be finally settled.

    For those of us who knew the events surrounding the 2007 elections, this saga is (99.9%) somebody’s reaction to those times and related matters. It is just like when John the Baptist spoke against the political big man of his day. He paid for it, didn’t he?

    Poor child of God Manton, may his God rescue him.

    As he puts it, his pursuers may be offering him a chance to redeem himself. Possibly they want his head, or maybe a million bucks in bribes! Somehow – they are just telling him – it is pay-back time!!!

    As for you (the blogger)& me, always let us limit ourselves to the KINGDOM business that God has called us to. None of us is called to “judge” who good or bad prophets are. Our commission is clear: Go ye therefore to the whole world and preach the GOOD NEWS …..(What news??…GOOD…GOOD …VERY GOOOOOD…NEEEWS)!!!

    Please rate each of your posts – how much of the GOOD NEWS content will you want to post out to the world? Won’t you seek today that all men will find God’s Amazing Grace – including this poor American preacher? Pray for him and bless God for him.   5. I am appalled. I live and work in Nairobi. I attended Dr. Manton’s service on the 23rd of December 2007 where he predicted President Kibaki’s re-election and the ethnic chaos that would follow. However, he came across as though he had a hindsight of what Kibaki and his ruling friends had planned since he hinted at the elections being rigged but that it was the will of God for Kenya. Most of what he said that evening happened. However to me Manton came across as a very arrogant and proud man from his mannersims and talk. What shocks me now is the juxtaposition between what he preaches in Church and what he plays behind the scenes. Independent sources indicate that he is being investigated for RAPE, PROSTITUTION and PORNOOGRAPHY. To make matters worse, there are graphical images and a video clip of the “servant of God” filming himself and a lady in the act. This is a big shame to the Church. In the same 2007 meeting, Manton had testified how he had led prayers to dethrone the spirit of Koinange street–a redlight street of Nairobi. How come the physician has fallen sick?

  7. Mt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. You appear not to have known much about Dr. Manton’s ministry nor have you heard of him before yet you are quick to publish your conclusive article about him. Why would he be so stupid as a man of God to have gone to the extent of publishing a woman’s pornographic image on the internet? Reading your first paragraph anyone with intelellect can see that something is not adding up. I have been to his ministry and I have been very much blessed. I have no doubt about him whatsover. Reading from different articles from your website it is obvious you are a self appointed judge who calls herself a Prophetess. Why then not let us into your prophetic insight so we can know how God has used you as a Prophetess? That will make us understand you more. Watch out and be sure to read the bible so you could have full understanding of of a balanced WORD of God.

  9. Whether Thomas Manton is guilty or not of the porn charges is not the main test here of whether he speaks for God. The things he says and does within his “ministry” show him to be false. His charging for his prophecies, and what he prophesies declare who he speaks for = himself!

  10. so when he prophesied about the 2002 election and was well received by the people of Kenya in maltitude that was true as agreed by all. All his prophetic word then came to pass and is being fulfilled. What does that mean? Then in 2007 he also gets another word for Kenya and because this time the nation is devided on tribal grounds and some refuse to hear what God has spoken through Dr. Manton in which case all came to be fulfilled and is being fulfilled, he is now not a man of God? Now then you Prophetess bloger you say that what Dr. Manton does in his ‘ministry’ how do you get to have that insight? Have you met him or been into his ministry? Pastor Kim stated the obvious that what Dr. Manton is currently facing in Kenya exactly as stated – Pastor Kim’s post. Prophetic words have been released before hand concerning what Dr. Manton is going through that saints needs to pray for him. Prophetess you are not a threat to satan therefore you have nothing to fear you are already a mouth piece of Lucifar judging God’s servants. Dr. Manton is clearely and purely framed. Not to mention in mordern times high tech digitals can also be manipulated. You need to visit Kenya to know what you are talking about. If I were you I will hold on first and watch how God will move – as far as this matter is concern. I clearely understand what Pastor Kim is saying. I said again it will be good to have an insight of your ministry litreature etc.. that will make us understand what you are as far as being a self apointed judge.

    “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” – Matthew 7:16

    Jesus would disagree with you. And I see no scripture where the Lord exempted prophets from that standard. You are not rightly dividing the Word of God.

  12. Which Bible do I read?
    I must admit I am a baby in Bible matters and may therefore never match your arguments on – who we are & who we are not to judge in the Body of Christ. Bear with my “unlearned” state.

    I just got to meet Christ recently – in August 1985 at age 19 – having come from a God-less, Bible-less African lifestyle and had absolutely no understanding of prophecy and related issues. However, I am coming up well by God’s grace……

    It is now just over 20 years or so …..and no doubt ….I will get there ….by and by. (Please keep looking behind – and soon, you’ll surely notice a small guy coming up – maybe some 45 years after now).

    Meanwhile, have you read that a Manton look-alike was arrested yesterday at JKIA Nairobi airport? When scandals are being manufactured, people will stop at nothing!!!!!! Check out the story in the Kenyan media today.

    My heart goes out for this poor American guy, his mum, siblings, cousins and all others who are his friends. I can imagine what agony and torment this saga is visiting on them. God will lift them up & heal their wounded hearts soon.

    As for you (and those in the line of your thought), I know you don’t care who his Mum is, or whether he has a family or friends. They may all go to jail for ever for a CD he supposedly taped of his naked self and allegedly sent to an un-named woman – Or?

    Kindly tell me, what really do you gain when others crash, fall, are hurt and are wrecked? Does this really bless your “prophetic ministry?”

    God bless you ….BUT KNOW THIS… you need help …very fast. I discern you have a major sickness in your spiritual life. Take heart – Jehovah RAPHA!!!!! – He heals! He will heal Manton – if the guy nedds healing, and you – COS’ you need His healing NOW!

    I read your comments that you made and would like to say to you that being a prophet according to the word of God has more to do with being a preacher of righteousness than it does with foretelling future events. Being a preacher of righteousness would consist of a strong emphasis on the preaching of the cross of Christ, what Christ did there for humanity and of preaching repentance. Does Thomas Manton preach those things or does he preach primarly about money and success and what God can do for you? The apostle Paul said “Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the cross”. The most important thing for the christian is their sanctification, not being rich, but being more like Christ.

    Pastor Kim, I sense a humble spirit within you.

    I can speak to this matter seeing a former President of yours sent his ambassador to my office requesting that we come and pay your nation and people a visit because our reputation preceded us to him.

    I have spent a great deal of time in African nations. So, for one who has been there and done that, I can attest to the ugliest of spiritual wickedness that works upon your shoulders, a bondage so harmful and great, it will take an Act of God to break off and lift the burden and weight of such wickedness at work there among your people.

    As for this man, I don’t know him. Either way, a false charge or true, he is no different than me as I can shamefully admit I too have broken the Law of Righteousness and according to the Bible I do read, I then am a transgressor of all God’s Holy Righteousness.

    If the scheme against this man is true and it is a permissive act of Satan himself, this man will be guided out of this black hole and God will undoubtedly receive His due Glory for the Grace and Mercy with which He led him out. If this thing is true as is being reported by Miriam herein, then, what befalls the man but to turn to God and let God guide him out of the darkness and the power of Satan that has so emboldened him to such a degree of wickedness!

    What troubles me, if it is true that Miriam reports, that you can call a prophecy phone line and “buy” a word from this man who purports to be a Man of God?

    That would one of his errors then, wouldn’t you agree in light of these verses of Scripture that we have been given to be nourished up on in this wicked world tormented by the devils?

    Act 20:17 Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him.
    Act 20:18 And when they came to him, he said to them: “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia,
    Act 20:19 serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews;
    Act 20:20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,
    Act 20:21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Act 20:22 And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there,
    Act 20:23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me.
    Act 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

    Note well that Paul gave “freely” and without “charge” the Word of God in living with and among them and he so lived by example a life that involved “hard labor”, work so as to provide for those in need, both of his personal inner circle and for others to follow that by so living this sort of Life of Christ, they gave to the poor and weak, laying down their lives, not saving up garnished wealth of others to be with. No, instead he lived a life of becoming poor and weak that many would become rich and strong in Him!

    Dr. Manton ministers the Gospel in full ~ meaning he is not a one sided preacher. He does believe that it is a right of every believer as the scripture state here:-3 John 1:2
    Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. This means physical well being and spiritual well being of a believer. He is a man who has given himself up to serve the Lord without any reservation.

    I recently was listening to one of his messages produced sometime ago ‘Soulwinners Arise!’ He shared his testimony in that audio message and the need for every Christian to witness the Gospel and to let others know that Christ came to save the lost.

    I was moved with his passion and the desire to inspire the listener to become the messanger of the GOOD NEWS of Christ. Yes, Dr. Manton preaches righteousness and not just Prophecies. Any prophecy that is not backed with sound doctrine is as good as baseless. Therefore the WORD of God is a solid foundation of any believer and that I can testify that Dr. Manton is a strong believer in the WORD.

  19. Most so called prophets and their words don’t have any value in real life!

    I was thinking today about all the prophecies that I had heard and had read and most of them were useless and meaningless. They sounded nice but just like in a balloon there was nothing their but they never came to pass!

    Last week this so called prophetess, a school teacher, prophesied over me and my friend, and it was a typical evangelical prophecy that said “go and do something for God”!

  20. He Can Prophesy but the problem with him or this whole issue is SEXUAL SINS.Sexual Demons are so strong for they invade BODY, SOUL , AND SPIRIT AT A GO. The word of God is telling us when two are joined together they become one.Thus When a man and a woman engage themselves in a sexual relationship they become one, body soul and spirit.In the spiritual Realm sexual demons are strong because when deliverance is being conducted the party has to be delivered the body, soul and spirit. And later healing is necessary and its also a process.The spirit of Rust and pornography is not only with the unbelievers its even found in churches today and we only need to do as the word of God commands. (TO MARRY) I would like to know if Thomas is married! Is there someone who knows? Well This man is not a devil worshiper or a satanist as many may call him. All he need to do is confess to our father in heaven and ask for forgiveness and he will be healed and his ministry too.In This spiritual warfare people need to look into their lives e.g, abortions, generation curses, Sexual sins, Witchcraft and drug addiction among others Be blessed everyone ..

  21. It’s apparent that Dr. Manton transgressed. He may have heard from God previously but that doesn’t mean he’s not prone to Adam’s nature. There’s strong evidence of this man committing prostitution and producing porn videos with local girls. It was only a matter of time before the skeletons in the cupboard were exposed. I have attended his meetings and have discerned an arrogant and proud spirit in this man. There’s always a fall before pride. Concerning his “predictions” about Kenya, we are not bound by their [in]accuracies to qualify the man as a true prophet. The inherent contradictions between what he says and what he does is what Christ asked us to examine. Even Christ himself said in the last days shall come false prophets and miracle workers using His name. But these alone don’t qualify men and women to be called Servants of God.

  22. Brethren from our arguments, I can sense that we all are children of the same father and OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Personally, I willingly forgive Manton, a prisoner of conscience. If God is exposing his other lewd acts for the sake of his purification and HIS OWN GLORY so be it! . God is in control or (…Are we wiser than HE). Manton just like me, could be a christian, once addicted to porn. The only thing I didn’t do was to have sex. I watched all lewd images and still lifted up my hands in worship before the LORD in church the following day. Right now I have been delivered and so I believe Manton will.   23. Some on this thread have a really strange way of viewing the scripture and the life of the Lord. It’s almost as if they are saying “ignore the sin just as long as the sinner preaches the Word of God”.

    Perhaps I misunderstand, it’s certainly possible. Yet I cannot see anywhere in scripture where the real church is to make peace with sin and openly accept it. Paul counseled otherwise in his letters to the Corinthian church. Then again, I may misunderstand what some are trying to say.

    If that is true, then the emphasis would not be upon prophecies and money. It would be upon the gospel, “Jesus Christ and him crucified”. Also, telling people about Jesus is wonderful, telling the gospel message is what all believers should engage in. But after you have told them and then they give there heart to Jesus, what then. Do you preach money and success and what God can do for you. The problem that christians have is not really their bank account but rather sin controlling there life in some way, sin is the real problem. So, yes the Lord wants to bless his people, but leave that up to him to do, when you start saying stuff like it is a believers right, it does’nt come off very humble. I believe that God will meet our needs according to the scripture and God did’nt intend on everychristian being rich and driving the finest automobile, thats not the gospel, the gospel is “Jesus Christ and him crucified” and that within that statement, we have all that we need from Christ, he is the source and the cross is the means.     However even if he is guilty as alledged,let the law sort out.I dont judge him and if I know where his church is,I wont mind to join and hear what God has to say.

    I just want to bring to your attention that I have been following Dr. Manton’s ministry for sometime. In that I can testify that he is no false Prophet. In any occassion whether he prophecy to individuals, nations or to the body of Christ he records them. He is not a vague prophet, most prophetic words through him have been fulfilled. I therefore wonder how you would qualify him as a false prophet. Just because some of the text in his website causes him to be misunderstood that doesn’t make him to be a false prophet. In fact he is one of the major Prophets of this time who is accurate also desires to see the church rising. Just because he may not belong to the ‘known cirles’ of Prophets that doesn’t make him false. Elijah in the bible came out of no where. Dr. Manton is not one of those who prophecy just houses and cars and fail to record their messages because they are not sure of their prophetic words. Such when one go back to them they rephrase what they have prophecied. I for one I have a testimony through his ministry not only a personal prophecy but God is working through me as result of being connected to Dr Manton’s ministry. There are several contradicting version of the claimed sin that Dr. Manton has apparently committed. Not to mention the very day or the following in the week that Dr. Manton was accused someone who looked like him to the extend that the Police arrested him thinking it was Dr. Manton at the airport. There is more to this than what meets the eye. Time is in God’s hands all will come to light. Let’s pray for God’s perfect will in all this. Thank you. God bless you.

  28. I don’t know more than what i’ve read here, but this seems like a Joseph-syndrome: somewhere, he upset someone who couldn’t deal with it, and had to produce some case to get him out of the way.

    I agree, though, the “positive speaks” for 2009 seem a lot like pretty much every mega-profit’s words.

  29. I clearly recall a little, often overlooked, rather annoying and very much applicable booklet, that few people know. Oh, many know of the li’l overgrown pamphlet and some even quote it, but it general, it doesn’t seem to make much sense nowadays to waste time with reading an obsolete few pages such as that. And never, ever believe that the truth might be hidden or exposed in a li’l overgrown pamphlet such as that, because it is very arrogant to claim that anyone can know God or what He wants.

    That almost disused, unnecessary, annoying, irrelevant li’l overgrown pamphlet used to be called the Bible, the written Word of God, through which He reveals Himself and His Will to mankind.

    And if i recall correctly, there is a little annoying verse that states something in the line of, we must be holy as our Father in Heaven is holy. And another annoying verse, conveniently left out of the common quotations, where the Lord Jesus tells the woman caught in adultery : “go, and SIN NO MORE.” Somehow, i fail to see the correlation between the true God, who is full of justice, and grace, and mercy, and wrath, who forgives, yet shall not let the sinner go unpunished; and those who claim to serve Him, yet get stuck on the cliche of His love, while refusing to obey the command to warn the sinner against sinning; who silence the Words of the Holy Ghost, for soothing words of men.

    Have you ever read the beautiful, soothing words of my Lord Jesus, as written in Matthew 23?

    Oh, for those who wondered: that first paragraph was merely a heart-felt commentary on the gospel as preached by a lot of preachers nowadays.

  34. Ministers of God are required by Scripture “to be above reproach”. 1 Tim 3:2/7. How much simpler could this be? Any believer publicaly discredited as a result of moral sin can be restored to fellowship but not to ministry for the simple reason they are no longer above reproach and thus no longer scriptually qualified. In the case of false prophets or teachers who are mere talkers and deceivers,they must be silenced. Titus 1:10/11. They claim to know God but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient and UNFIT FOR DOING ANYTHING GOOD. Titus 1:16.
    Those who object to this application of the Word of God often cite David’s restoration as grounds for returning a fallen leader to ministry. What they fail to understand is that David never had a PRIESTLY function to forego. The argument is bogus.
    One hardly needs to exercise discernment to perceive the corruption of this man. He is an agent of Satan and an enemy of the church. In common with most false prophets his chosen pathway of sin and deception leads to a love of money and the loss of moral integrity.

  35. Dear Friends, It is unfortunate that you all do not know Manton in a personal way-I do. I worked for him for 5 months. He is not being framed or false accused. Everything you read in the media is true. I was in his minstry as an undercover investigator and attested that everything was true. I brought him a house girl and he used her for the same porn things. She told me everthing that I already new. I was his personal assistant and I am writing from being there. Some of the prostitutes he used to sleep with used to even come to his church. He would get the prostitutes in his recidents and the night watchmen would tell me who came and what time they left. Those porn dvds I have watched and some of the watchmen testified to me that those were the ones who came to the house. I am not writing this to argue with you. I just want you to know the truth and hope it will sed you free. If you do not believe me, get to email me and I will show you hard evidence. It is not about exposing the man but the sin. I have prayed for him alot. You ask him to tell you the truth if he even fears God. It is not an accidental sin it is deliberate choice of lifestyle. He has been living like that and God will sort him out. Be ware that you are deffending what you do not know. His falling is something we prayed and fasted for for many months for the sake of the church and the many believers he was disiving. I pray that God will open the eyes of the church to see the amount of evil that is going round. I am not perfect but I know holiness is key to livng right.
    Pray that you will not be contanminated in the defense of one who has continually defiled the prophetic altar.

    I am confused about this whole saga. Can someone, anyone, give me the following information.

    a) Who is Thomas Manton Accountable to? Does he have a spiritual Father or ministry to whom/which he answers?

    Also, if he has indeed done this, let us pray that God will restore him in the faith. Let us pick him up and pray for him. If I was him, even if I was guilty, I would need prayer more than anything else. Jude says to snatch them from the fire, hating even the very clothes they wear.
