“Police officers told an open-air preacher in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, it is a criminal offence to identify homosexuality as a sin. They said this to Andy Robertson, even though he had not mentioned homosexuality in his preaching.

He was recording his preaching because the local council had been making allegations about the content of his message. The conversation with police officers was caught on tape.”

  6. In response to cellphonepreacher – thank you so much for providing that link. What a brilliant idea! I wouldn’t go as far as pretending to make a call but would just have a conversation with my wife about the goodness of God (we could talk all day about His goodness to us both), or discuss Scripture, or one of the topics on this blog – for instance the recent warnings of famine etc. I’ll brief the Mrs when I get home from this interminable night shift and give it a shot on the bus to work tomorrow.

  7. This is far from an isolated event. We are entering a time that will see an increase in the persecution of Christians in England, USA, European mainland, Australia and other western countries.
    The Washingon Times reported on a visit by police to a small group meeting in Bonita,California attended by 15 people,led by Pastor David Jones and his wife. When they admitted they were expressing christian worship/teaching and praying they were commanded to stop. They were issued with a citation which required them to obtain a state licence costing thousands of dollars or face fines. A bill is currently awaiting Obama’s signature which protects 547 kinds of sexual orientations and criminalises Christianity.
    Europe and Canada have already passed such laws which effectively renders faithful biblical preaching illegal.

  8. When I was working in a homeless shelter in London, some of the homeless visitors asked me to sing a hymn. I was told by one of the organisers to stop, as it is not allowed.

    In the Middle East, Christians are constantly watched, persecuted and told not to speak about their faith. Some have been put in jail and are being persecuted as we speak. Even some of my brothers who were previously Muslim and came to know the Lord Jesus, were caught and strung upside down and electricuted on their private parts.

    The problem the world fails to undertsand is this:
    Jesus is not an ideology or passing phase.

    He is the Son of God, the alpha and Omega!

    Everyone who is truly a disciple of Jesus will face persecution and more than likely it will make them stronger.

    Just recently, in the North region of India, a band of radicals came to a village in Orissa and cut to peices hundreds of men from a village who had left Hinduism for Christ.

    I also met 2 sweet old ladies that when they were caught and stripped naked and beaten, they got up and began to worship God. When I asked them if they were scared, they said that at that very moment they were filled with power on high by the Holy Sprirt and were able to endure it for the name of Jesus!

    When I look into America, I see many false preachers, preaching happy days as well as an internal fight to morally and spiritually corrupt the country with satanic ideologies which are now bearing fruit.

    Thank God, it’s coming to an end and Jesus is coming soon!

    But fist the Bible tells us that everyone child of God will be tested…

    In Revelation, the Word of God tells us that the Beloved “will overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death”

    Also in Rev 13:10 it says:
    “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”

    I pray that when your time comes to stand and testify of the hope that lies within you, you will have the Grace and courage to Stand! In the name of Jesus!

  10. Hi just as the Lord says you will be persecuted and identified as true followers of me, they first rejected Me and will reject you. This persecution is a tool the Lord is using to weed out the chaff from true converted believers in these end times. We are going to see many fall away from beleiving due to emotional commitment to the Lord and not True BORN again spiritual conversions of the inner man.There are so many believers who have made a decision to repent due to emotional response and not true spritual convicted repentence. Only spiritual rebirth in the inner man can withstand the fierce persecution which is coming upon the body of Christ, the Lord calls for obedience and true commitment to the Kingdom and the forsaking of the world is a must, we have to make a stand for the sovereignty of our almighty GOD and preach the word of life in the gospel of truth no matter what consequences arise upon us. Praise the Lord of Grace and Mercy for the power of the Holy Spirit and his eternal Word.
