  1. More impressed by the scripture references printed on packaging used by In N Out Burger here on the West Coast. Excellent product and value, and a great witness.

  4. religious people are insane. You’re offended by a cross and a scripture?? Would you rather have our youth be wearing a marijuana symbol or maybe a naked girl symbol? You need to realize that the youth will not change and wear what you want them to wear. The youth and teens won’t listen to your kind of music. Christian music yes, but to your liking, I doubt it. Do you actually think Jesus would debate or even take the time to think about this subject? I can picture Jesus saying to Matthew “Hey your robe represents me, how rubbish of you.” If a person wants to wear $500 oakley’s or $5 walmart glasses it makes no difference. If a person wears Armani clothes or Wrangler clothes it makes no difference. If a person lives in a $300,000 house or in a mobile home it makes no difference. What matters is the heart. A heart changed and molded into the image of His Son. Lets stop worrying about what people wear and start to influence our youth in a positive way. Not tearing them down because we don’t agree with what they wear.

One last thing. Anyone find it quite sad that a Christian business is just trying to create stylish products and other “christians” are just out trying to “discern” if the product is acceptable or not?

  5. Just a shame that an animal was slaughtered with no dignity to produce the In N Out Burger.

  6. “Would you rather have our youth be wearing a marijuana symbol or maybe a naked girl symbol?”

I guess your out of touch of society, I don’t see too many people wearing Marijuana branded sunglasses. I think most people prefer to wear sunglasses without any symbol.

I dont find what people wear offensive, provided that its with modesty they are clothed, the issue here is the blatant merchandising of the gospel, be it in whatever form.We can never forget that Christ died that we might have access to His eternal Kingdom, not so that we can unashamedly rip apart the gospel message, His gospel message , for the sake of a few dollars here and there. His laws were to be written on our hearts, not on our sunnies, or our t shirts , prayer shawls, coffee mugs, candle holders, key rings, torchs, you get the idea!

    God Bless

  8. Jesus Heals,

Nice try at using a Straw Man. No one here is “offended” by use of a cross and scripture. What is at issue is whether or not a scripture is beng manipulated and whether or not this is a shallow and pedantic appeal to Christians for profit. If there was a cross on the side and there were words that said “Jesus gave his life for you” that would be different.

Secondly, you then used a False Dichotomy when you said “would you rather have our youth wearing a marijuana symbol or a naked girl symbol.”

As if Christian kids will turn to that if they don’t have access to these glasses.

Third, people here aren’t trying to get kids to not wear glasses or, as you put it “youth will not change and wear what you want them to wear.” What is at issue is whether or not a scripture is bing manipulated and whether or not this is a shallow and pedantic appeal to Christians for profit.

Then you go off on a tanget about music when the OP never raised that in the first place.

“Your robe represents me…” Nice try to imply that these glasses somehow represent Jesus.

The cost of clothes or glasses or houses or the brand label isn’t at issue here. That is a use of a Red Herring by you.

What is at issue is whether or not a scripture is being manipulated and whether or not this is a shallow and pedantic appeal to Christians for profit.

The last two lines of your post: yet another use of a Straw Man by you. Oh yeah, they are just trying to create a stylish product and “Christians” here are trying to “discern” whether they are acceptable or not. Poor poor them… mean pople here. Puhleeze.

And you put the word “Christian” in quotes. As if those who have a problem with a scripture being manipulated and have a problem with a pedantic appeal to Christians for profit somehow aren’t truly Christians.

Your post has been thoroughly shredded, Jesus Heals. We can see that you have no regard for the manipulation of a scripture. You have no regard about pedantic appeals for profit with a scripture being tied in to it.

This shows that you do not love God’s word. If you did you would take issue with the manipulation of Mat 5:14 and profit being tied in with it.

I look forward to continualy linking to this thread whenever you post here at endtimes and pointing to your post and my response to it. :)

  11. If the Word of God is being manipulated for profit and profit alone, than yes, shame on the manufacturer. If the company, out of a heart for the youth, is attempting to provide a well-made product for people who love the Lord and His word to wear, than good for them. Yes the word should be “written on our hearts”. But for me, it also helps if it is sometimes written elsewhere as well (a t-shirt, my bible, an index card, a rubber band around the wrist, etc). And to create strife and division leading to bickering over this issue, when Christians the world over are DYING for Jesus is absolutely NOT the light Christ modeled for us. Christians, stop bickering. You are family in Christ. Act like it.
