Further to the recent revelations from one of C Peter Wagner’s apostles Robert Ricciardelli about Todd Bentley and the Lakeland deception (see here), here is some more information from Ricciardelli’s latest posts on the Charisma Magazine forum here.
(Please note that I in no way endorse Ricciardelli, his beliefs, or the movement he is attached to. However I attach this for information purposes as he has interesting insider information, that confirms what we already know - that Todd lies and falsely speaks for God and manipulates for money.)
“If you are going to lie or stretch truth like Todd does on a world stage, you can bet people like me who he is representing are going to speak up. Here is one of the errors.
In early June, I think on the 6th Todd gave an offering message that was manipulation and borderline witchcraft. He said the Lord told Him that there were 1000 people who were going to give $1000 and if they were obedient, the Lord said they would receive 1000 fold return. I am in almost daily conversation with Stephen Strader, and challenged him that it was not from God. He agreed and talked to Todd. Todd admitted that he worded it wrong, but that it was an idea he had to raise money for the 30,000 seat revival center they want to build. I then asked if he would repent publicly and they said no because the crowd changes every night.”
The following excerpts of a longer article by Ingrid Schlueter is from the website here. This sort of behavior within Christ’s church so grieves me and I feel like words fail me. Following on from the Benny Hinn fiasco in South Africa, here, what can I really say? I just want to weep…………..
“After a rambling, free-ranging talk about the worsening economy and the price of gas, John Avanzini told us that he would give us all two things to help us get through perilous times. The first was a list of 7 Bible promises, as he called them, that he had printed up on a card. The mixture of truth and error was very evident here.
The list, which is seen at left, gave the following “seven anchors for these perilous times”. Note that the word prosperity as he uses it is referring to material wealth. Spiritual wealth was never mentioned that night.
1. God has already made plans for your prosperity. Jeremiah 29:11
2. Everything you will need and want has already been provided for you by your great God. 2 Peter 1:3
3. God has already given you his best so there is no need to worry about him denying you anything else. Romans 8:32
4. God wants you to live with limitless supply. Judges 18:10
5. Your wealthy place is always on the other side of the perilous times you are facing.
6. It gives God great pleasure to prosper you in good times…in bad times..at all times. Psalms 35:27
7. In good times or in bad times, God is willing to make you rich. Proverbs 10:22
On the show today, I pointed out that there is truth and error mixed here. All of those Scripture verses given do talk about the prospering of God’s people. The idea that this is always referring to physical wealth is patently absurd. Avanzini and all of his huckster compatriots only use Scripture as proof texts for their own ridiculous claims that God wants everyone wearing Brioni suits and Rolex watches.
Avanzini told a story of how his grandchildren sometimes sit and watch him count money at the table. He described his stacks of 100’s, 50’s, 20’s and so on. He mocked at how his daughter told them, “don’t ask for anything, children.” He told us that she should have been teaching them to ask for money. He again mocked how she taught the children to say, “thank you” when he would give them money. He claimed that what they should have said instead was, “Can I have some more?” Avanzini apparently believes in training children early to be greedy and ungrateful.
The next thing Avanzini said he would give us to help us through “perilous times” was a stone. He went through several Bible references where stones “talked” in the Old Testament. Here Avanzini introduces the stone idea. He strolled down the aisles, his ring winking in the lights, and held out a shiny stone for a woman to hold. Avanzini told the assembled crowd of about 650 people that these stones should be rubbed whenever people faced rising prices or higher prices at the pump. The ushers went down the aisles with buckets of shiny, smooth stones and handed them out. (No, that’s not an unhappy face on the stone, just a weird stone we ended up with. Maybe someone could sell this stone-with-a-face on ebay.)
This moved him on to the seque phase of his message. He began transitioning to his real message by telling the story of Gideon’s sacrifice as recorded in the book of Judges. Repeatedly, Avanzini described the poverty of Gideon and how his offering of a goat was such a sacrifice for someone who lived in a cave. He described how the angel of the Lord IGNITED the offering on the rock. We, who were in possession of the lucky rubbing stones, would need to ignite ours. I’ll give you a guess how that should be done.
At this point, Avanzini turned to the pastor in the white suit, sitting in the audience and asks innocently, “Do I have a few more moments?” Well, not surprisingly, the pastor agreed. It’s a good thing, because as it turns out, Avanzini had a whole new doctrinal revelation to tell us about: the doctrine of reverse entrapment. If you’ve never heard of that before, that’s because God just showed it to him right there. Reverse entrapment is when you put a gift to Avanzoni on a credit card and outsmart the lenders who are trying to get rich off your debt. When you put a gift on a credit card, I quote, “something happens in the spirit world.” Here he tells everyone how to have a credit card breakthrough. Turns out Avanzini has a way for you to get rid of your mortgage debt. All you have to do is to give him a gift the size of your house payment and God will see that your mortgage gets paid off right away. If you don’t have a house, $500 will do nicely for future debt. Avanzini assured us that it worked for him.
Perhaps the man sensed a few hostile vibes from the audience (from our row in particular) because he warned us not to let the devil keep us back from getting free from debt by putting a gift for his ministry on our credit card. The credit card “invitation” began as the keyboardist began to noodle around with some mood music. Then Avazini warned everyone again not to let the devil keep us away. The people streamed down to the stage area and wrote out their credit card numbers and house payment gifts and left them at the expensively shod feet of the speaker. While the people came down to the front to divest themselves of their money, Avanzini appropriately chose to tell an Al Capone joke. I doubt if one other person in the house recognized the irony.
Avanzini then prayed an igniting prayer over the stones everyone was clutching. Presumably, we still have to ignite our own with a credit card gift, but maybe his igniting prayer was considered the first step.”
“LAKELAND. Evangelist Todd Bentley, whose unorthodox appearance and methods have attracted worldwide attention, will leave the long-running revival he has led here, it was announced Monday, although the local pastor who brought Bentley to Lakeland vows the revival will continue.
The Florida Outpouring began at Ignited Church of Lakeland on April 2, with Bentley, a 32-year-old Canadian, as a guest evangelist. Bentley was originally scheduled to lead services for a week, but when large crowds began flocking to the church, he agreed to stay on, and the revival has continued every day since then.
Hundreds of thousands of people from across the United States and the world have attended the revival, which outgrew at least four venues before tents were set up at Sun n’ Fun. Early on, the services were streamed live over the Internet, and some observers have credited the Internet for the rapid growth of the revival.
During the past several weeks, Bentley occasionally has been absent from the evening services, turning them over to guest evangelists or associates of his evangelistic ministry. He will return to lead the services tonight, but he already has scheduled appearances at revivals in Los Angeles; Louisville, Ky.; and Spokane, Wash., before Aug. 23.
“He’s going to be here regularly, just not seven nights a week,” Breidenbach said.
After leaving the Florida Outpouring, Bentley will conduct revivals overseas, including in the United Kingdom and Sudan, according to his ministry’s Web site.
The Rev. Stephen Strader, pastor of Ignited Church, said Bentley made the decision to relinquish leadership of the revival last week.
“He and I had both been praying about what God wants us to do,” Strader said. “There have been all sorts of rumors, but everything is OK. This has nothing to do with anything else.”

Todd Bentley runs away after the embarassing revealing ABC Nightline Report, returns much sooner than announced by God TV because it shows him for what he is (a deciever), and then they announce King Todd is giving his crown to Stephen Strader?! Prayer had nothing to do with it!]
Ignited Church will continue the revival, holding services every night after Bentley leaves, Strader said. And he is negotiating with other Lakeland churches to host services a few nights a week.
“We’re ready to take over. We don’t know at this point what venues we’ll use,” he said. “Most services we’ll be able to handle here at Ignited. We do anticipate crowds dropping off after Todd leaves.”
But Bentley may put in an occasional appearance. He plans to keep an office in Lakeland, in addition to his Fresh Fire Ministries headquarters in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Breidenbach said.
One of the churches that might participate in ongoing services is Believers Fellowship, at which Jeff Garvin, a Bentley associate, has preached in recent weeks.
“Stephen Strader is really the right man for this,” said the Rev. Wayne Friedt, pastor of Believers Fellowship. “He’s experienced, he’s prepared. They’ll still pack out Ignited Church.”
Bentley, covered with tattoos and employing antics borrowed from professional wrestling, has proved controversial. The revival has drawn attention for its claims of numerous miraculous healings of serious illnesses. Bentley has also claimed that more than two dozen people have been raised from the dead as a result of prayers offered at the revival.
Even some fellow Pentecostals have questioned whether Bentley’s revivals have placed enough emphasis on preaching and calls for repentance. A recent set of guidelines from the Assemblies of God, the largest predominantly white Pentecostal denomination in the United States, seemed to question the Florida Outpouring’s emphasis on miracles. Local pastors have expressed skepticism about exaggerated claims.
Recent news reports have been unable to verify any of the claims of healing, although Strader said privacy concerns and laws forbidding the release of medical records have prevented revival officials from releasing complete information about the identities and conditions of people claiming to be healed.“
[End times note - oh come on, do they think we are that stupid? Note that apart from them claiming to the crowds that they have the most 'documented revival healings in history', with doctor's records etc all collated to give to any media and sceptics that ask, which proves they are lying again one way or the other, this excuse is just pathetic and ridiculous. Remember also that Steve Strader is the guy who said only days ago that he makes things up and the Holy Spirit helps him to lie 'real cool' (see here). A worthy successor to Bentley indeed then.]
This is disgusting, and also heartbreaking for the children involved, and their family.

“Bangalore, India (ENI). A Christian father in Pakistan is trying without success through the courts to gain custody of his two pre-teen daughters who were kidnapped and made to convert to Islam.
On 12 July, a judge in Pakistan’s Punjab province ignored pleas that Saba Younis, aged 12, and her 10 year old sister, Anila Younis, who went missing on 26 June from the small town of Chowk Munda, had been kidnapped while on their way to their uncle’s residence and ruled that their conversion to Islam was legal.
The kidnappers, who had married the girls, had also filed for custody of the girls at a local police station on 28 June, asserting that the sisters had converted to Islam and their father no longer had jurisdiction over them.
“We are shocked by this court order,” Anita Maria, a lawyer and a spokesperson for a Pakistani Christian group told Ecumenical News International on 14 July. “Poor Christians in remote areas have to live with that.” Maria said that in some cases young women who have been abducted are charged with adultery if they refuse to convert and marry their abductors.
The police had been unable to trace the girls, and members of the local Christian community were shocked when their abductors came forward to claim that the girls had converted to Islam and that they had married the girls.
The Muzaffargarh district court on 12 July said the disputed conversion of the girls was legal, and it was this ruling that left the local Christians stunned.
“We will move the [Lahore] high court to challenge this order,” said Maria, who works as the programme coordinator for Pakistan’s Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement.
The Pakistan Minorities Concern network said in a statement that Younis Masih, the father of the kidnapped girls, was threatened by the local police when he went to complain about the kidnapping of his daughters. The statement noted that the village has only a few Christian families living among 150 Muslim families, and said that police refused to support the Christian family. The network pointed out that in 2005, nearly 50 Hindu girls and 20 Christian girls were kidnapped and the majority had been forcibly converted to Islam.
“This is a travesty of justice. But unfortunately, this is the practice here,” lamented Victor Azariah, general secretary of the National Council of Churches in Pakistan, which groups four Protestant churches. Azariah said, “The courts never help us.”
Christians account for only about two percent of Pakistan’s 168 million people, more than 90 percent of whom are Muslim.”

“JERUSALEM (AFP) — Barack Obama on Wednesday vowed to forge an “unshakeable” bond with Israel if he becomes the next US president and warned a nuclear Iran would pose a “grave threat” which the world must forestall.
The Democratic White House hopeful hailed Israel as a “miracle” as he courted Jewish voters at home, taking pains to stress he understood the security fears of the Jewish state and would not push it into a peace deal.
“I bring here an unshakeable commitment to Israel’s security,” Obama said, after a day meeting top Israeli leaders including Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, opposition Likud chief Benjamin Netanyahu, and President Shimon Peres.
Olmert, hosting Obama for dinner, replied that the presidential hopeful was following a tradition of the “great friends of Israel.”
“I know how friendly you are, and I know how much you care for us,” Olmert said.
The Illinois senator also tried to convince the Palestinians, during a short trip to see the conflict from the other side, on the occupied West Bank, that he would sponsor a vigorous peace effort if elected.
Obama picked his way through the tricky currents of Middle Eastern politics on the latest leg of a high-profile international campaign swing meant to assuage fears among some US voters that he lacks experience on the global stage.
The senator reiterated his vow to stop Iran developing a nuclear weapon, but defended his offer of talks with leaders from the Islamic Republic, promising to use “big carrots and big sticks.”
“A nuclear Iran would pose a grave threat and the world must prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon,” Obama said, as he visited the southern Israeli town of Sderot, long in the firing line of rockets from Gaza.
Obama however refused to budge on his offer to talk to Iranian leaders, which has sparked consternation among some in Israel, and drew charges that he is naive by his Republican rival John McCain.
“I would at my time and choosing be willing to meet with any leader if I thought it would promote the national security interest of the United States of America,” he said.
Obama held just over an hour of talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas after sweeping into heavily guarded Ramallah in a motorcade.
“I will not wait until a few years into my term or my second term if I am elected in order to get the process moving,” Obama said of Middle East peace efforts.
“I think we have a window right now that needs to be taken advantage of.”
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat told AFP that Obama told Abbas “if he wins the election in the United States he will be a full and positive partner in the peace process and will not lose a single moment in pursuing it.”
Obama also said that he had not backed down from his comment that Jerusalem should not be divided, which he made before the US Jewish lobby last month, sparking anger among Palestinians.
“I have not changed my statement,” Obama told reporters in Sderot after touring the home of a family in which a young boy lost a leg to a rocket fired by Palestinian militants from nearby Gaza.
“I continue to say that Jerusalem will be the capital of Israel. I have said it before and will say it again… but I’ve also said that it is a final status issue” that must be decided by negotiation.
Obama’s original comment was seen by some observers as prejudging final status peace talks, and his campaign has since said that it was poorly worded.
The senator also said he stood by Israel’s refusal to negotiate with Hamas, which the United States and European Union consider a terrorist group.
“It is very hard to negotiate with a group that is not representative of a nation state, does not recognise your right to exist, has consistently used terror as a weapon and is deeply influenced by other countries,” he said.
US polls showed Obama has yet to lock in an overwhelming advantage among the normally solid Democratic bloc of American Jewish voters, just over three months before the US election.
On a day rich in imagery, he paid his respects to veteran statesman Peres, and his role in Israel’s history.
“You have been deeply involved in this miracle that has blossomed and we are extraordinarily grateful not just as Americans but as world citizens for your outstanding service to your country,” Obama told Peres.
Earlier, the Democratic senator toured the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem to the six million Jews who perished under the Nazis.
Obama, who has already visited Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq and Jordan, heads on to a three-stop tour of Europe, beginning in Berlin on Thursday.”
We have already seen how Jan Jansen, Jeff Janson’s wife, claims to have met Bob Jones’ female angel ‘Grace’ here. Now Jeff Jansen describes meeting another female angel ‘Wisdom’, followed by the notorious female angel Emma, so rejected and spurned by Todd Bentley recently. He also describes Randy DeMain and others of the apostolic-prophetic movement meeting this angel Emma!

A 32 carat ruby sold for US$144,000 per carat at Sotheby's in 1989 so fifty carats 20 years ago means over seven million bucks for that stone - which would be much more today with inflation. Sizes above five carats are particularly rare - so if this is real it is an amazing miracle, so Jeff if you're reading this, can we proclaim your miracle to the world? When can I send around a jewellery expert please to look at your 22 amazing rubies? When will you sell these so we can give the money to the poor?]
“I had a sense of expectation something was going to happen. And Randy DeMain was there along with myself, Kari Browning, Terry and Jerry (Copper?) and there was some others that were there. And immediately the angels in worship began to come and they were all over the building, there were angels lined up the front, there were flashes of lightning….

“…and both Randy and myself were looking at these angels - Randy DeMain is a seer as well - and he’s pointing things out to me and I’m pointing things out to him, and I began to notice there was a table of showbread off to the left hand side and I was watching this, I saw this smoke, this round smoke doorway began to open up.
And I was just getting ready to turn to Randy and say ‘Randy, look there’s a ..’ and he poked me and said ‘Jeff’ - we both saw it at the same time. And as soon as he said ‘Jeff look’, out came the angel Emma. Now you can imagine what’s going through my mind. So we’re worshipping and here comes the angel and so I instinctively put my hand out because I knew what was coming. Worshipping with one hand up and I have my other hand out waiting for the red stone to come.

“Well the angel came, walked right up to me, past me, walked past Randy, walked past the others, walked right over to Terry and dropped this stone and I knew exactly what happened. Immediately he opened his eyes, saw the angel, screamed, the angel disappeared…….
“And I walked up there, Terry’s covered with gold, because he gets covered with gold a lot, and he was looking and there it was, the red stone and I thought that it is absolutely incredible…. we just kind of rejoiced a little bit and then everyone went back to their seats, and I went back to my place, and as I’m on my way thinking about what happened, thinking ‘Lord this is absolutely incredible, what you’re doing now, Emma’s bringing stones and all these incredible things, what’s going on?’ And I could not but help thinking ‘Lord, that’s my stone’.

“… and Terry felt led that he was supposed to give me the stone. He checked with his leadership and basically Terry brought the stone over to me and he gave me the stone. But as he was on his way over to me with the stone in his hand to give it to me, the stone that was in his hand that was wide open, his hand began to vibrate and the stone multiplied right in front of everybody, now there’s not one but two fifty carat red rubies.
[endtimes note: so Jeff is claiming to possess at least two fifty carat rubies worth over seven million bucks each. Wow. I hope he is insured good. When can I send a valuer around, and Jeff, when you gonna give those millions to a worthy cause. Are you still taking financial offerings, and if so, why, when you allegedly have such valuable property - and you claim you have 22 stones, not just 2, they must be worth a fortune, no more collections needed ever again - unless, you're not lying to us now are you Jeff?]
“He gave me my stone and he’s got his, and now I’ve got stone number 22. That all came out of a vision. This all came out of a heavenly encounter that I had the day before, getting up, seeking the Lord….”
[endtimes note: note that despite Wisdom's advice that wisdom is better than rubies, Jeff Jansen sure did like rubies a whole lot better than wisdom...]

“It appeared to me a female angel, she had female characteristics. She had hair that appeared to be grey and very blonde at the same time. She appeared both old and young at the same time she had a very youthful glow about her face, but when she turned a certain way you could tell that she was very old, that she was ancient. And she had on white garments that glowed and glistened and she had on a gold sash around her waist and around her head, and she bent down and placed a crown of pearls on my head. And immediately the Lord took me to a place in my spirit where he began to mister to my spirit very deeply about pearls……
And then I saw this angel and I knew who she was. You might ask, how do you know who she was, but I knew in the spirit. She didn’t say her name. She did appear to be a female angel - angels are normally neither male nor female but some do have male or female characteristics, and she was a female and I knew in the spirit, and I knew her by name even though she didn’t say her name, but she went by the name of Grace.”
Note that the angel Grace, is a companion to the angel Emma, and is introduced to folks by Bob Jones of the Kansas City Prophets. Bob Jones prophesied to the Lakeland crowds on May 13th, that both the angels Emma and Grace were there at the revival along with another very powerful angel. The angel Emma has now been denied and lied about by Todd Bentley because of all the controversy.

John Crowder goes to the keyroom of heaven, and grabs keys to mantles, encounters etc. In something with a storyline more befitting a computerised fantasy game, John Crowder claims that once you have ‘experienced’ a room in heaven, you can have re-access to it again in the future.
[Patricia King mentions visiting the wine cellar in heaven to get drunk here, Todd Bentley mentions raiding the gold chests and stuffing his pocket full of gold here.) , John Crowder mentions a heavenly keyroom to getting experiences and mantles (the various focuses during their imagined experiences possibly showing their hearts?) - anyway, all of these prophets mention their visits to the third heaven, but you know what? They don't once ever mention God - it is experiences, anointings or angels!]
After giving us a bizarre story about him hovering between heaven and earth and a building-sized key, Crowder then tells us about when he met William Branham.
John Crowder literally goes back in time to a meeting being conducted by William Branham.
“I began to float down, my body began to go literally through the ceiling, and I saw William Branham ministering. As I began to hover, I was hovering over the crowd, I was coming in from the heights, and as I passed the pupit where William Branham was ministering, he turned towards me and literally threw a lightning bolt right at me - bam! - and the lightning bolt hit me - bam! - and from that encounter forward I began having interactions with the angels like I’ve never had before.”
Note the focus again on the lightning bolt - a common element between Bob Jones, Patricia King, James and Michal Ann Goll, Todd Bentley, Don Pirozok and many others when mentioning ‘heavenly’ power and angels. And the possible connection here between lightning bolts, bams, and William Branham.
Of all the people that ‘God’ apparently chose to send Crowder back in time to, it was William Branham. Not the early church apostles, not the earthly Jesus, but Branham. This, again speaks volumes. False prophet and occultist and fake healer Branham.
And no mention of increased interactions with Jesus, just angels. Interesting.
From 6.00 minutes onwards in this video, John Crowder starts speaking again about angels, and claims that angels have been twiddling their thumbs for centuries waiting for the church to get a grip and to learn how to partner with them. They have been waiting for this special generation to rise up and partner with them, take them seriously and have encounters that will move through the virtues that God wants to minister through his angelic hosts.
‘Truth Speaker’ writes an interesting article about why C Peter Wagner’s bunch of false prophets and apostles may have chosen to “align” Todd Bentley on June 23rd (apart from prophet Bob Jones prophesying that June 22 through to July 22 would have the most glory) here. She says the date has special occult significance and is a key date for the Knights of Malta!
“It is of great significance that Rick Joyner was one of the men presiding over [the Todd Bentley commissioning on June 23rd]. Several years ago Rick Joyner was initiated into the Knights of Malta, the Order of Saint John. This is a known fact and Rick has even spoken about it and made an audio tape explaining it and defended it in his 1998 Morning Star Journal.

What are the Knights of Malta
The Order of Malta is a lay, religious order of the Catholic Church. It is a Hospitaller order, founded in Jerusalem during the eleventh century. Members of the Order seek to glorify God through his or her work with the sick and the poor and witness of the Catholic faith.
Sherry Shriner writes in her article: “Rick Joyner, Knighted By The Knights Of Malta”
“The primary organization, called the Knights of Malta, has its headquarters in the Vatican of Rome and is clearly controlled and operated by the Catholic church. Their official website gives their name as the “Sovereign Military Order Of Malta.” They state of themselves that this “is a lay religious order of the Catholic church.” It was founded in Jerusalem in 1099 and it was approved formally as an order by the Pope in 1113. They also say of themselves, “The Order of Malta was admitted to the United Nations as a permanent observer on August 24, 1994.” They also claim “official diplomatic relations with over eighty states and international organizations.” The Order of Malta is clearly a Catholic order, controlled by the Pope and totally committed to the Pope, the Virgin Mary, and service to Roman Catholic ideas and causes. It is a powerful and massive organization.”
The History of the Knights of Malta
“Blessed Gerard originally founded “The Hospice of St. John of Jerusalem” prior to the 1st Crusade to care for sick and poor pilgrims in Jerusalem. In 1120, after Pope Urban II issued a Bulla recognizing the Hospice as a military religious order, the Order became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem”. Its members became known as “Knights of St. John”, “Knights of the Hospital” or simply “Knights Hospitallers”. Later, after the capture of Rhodes, the Order’s name became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem and of Rhodes”. The knights of that period were known as “The Knights of Rhodes”, as well as by their previous names. After the loss of Rhodes, the Order came into possession of the Island of Malta. The Order’s name then became “The Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta”. After the loss of Malta the name of the Order became “The Sovereign Military Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta”. Since that time, the members have since been referred to most commonly as “The Knights of Malta”, however, they may still be referred to as “Knights of St. John”, “Knights of the Hospital” or “Knights Hospitaller”. The Order is now typically referred to as “The Sovereign Military Order of Malta”, “The Order of Malta”, or the “SMOM”. . .
The following quote is from: An Encyclopedia of Freemasonry and Its Kindred Sciences,” etc. by Albert G. Mackey, M.D., Thirty-Third Degree, Volume I, published by the Masonic History Company, Chicago, New York, & London, 1925, Volume One, pp. 392-95:
“This Order, which at various times in the progress of its history received the names of Knights Hospitalers, Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Rhodes, and lastly, Knights of Malta, was one of the most important of the religious and military orders of knighthood which sprang into existence during the Crusades which were instituted for the recovery of the Holy Land. It owes its origin to the Hospitalers of Jerusalem, that wholly religious and charitable Order which was established at Jerusalem, in 1048, by pious merchants of Amalfi for the succor of poor and distressed Latin pilgrims….
“…There are now two bodies-one Catholic and the other Protestant, but each repudiates the other….
“The degree of Knight of Malta is conferred in the United States as “an appendant Order” in a Commandery of Knights Templar. There is a ritual attached to the degree, but very few are in possession of it, and it is generally communicated after the candidate has been created a Knights Templar….”
The Knights of Malta are the militia of the Pope, and are sworn to total obedience by a blood oath which is taken extremely seriously and to the death. The Pope as the head of the Vatican is also the head of a foreign national power.
As a member of the Knights of Malta, and by virtue of your blood oath of obedience to the Pope, you are required to support to the death the desires of the head of the Order of the Knights of Malta-in this case, Pope Benedict XVI -over and above any other allegiance you may feel or pretend to feel toward any other loyalty-such as a loyalty to the Constitution for the united States of America.
Those who are presently members of the Knights of Malta must on penalty of death support those policies advocated by the Vatican. It is not hard for them to do this. They BELIEVE in these policies and principles. The polices which are espoused and proclaimed by the office of the Pope are as follows:
1. End of sovereignty for the United States and other countries.
2. End of absolute property rights.
3. End of all gun rights.
4. The new international economic Order (world government).
5. The redistribution of wealth and jobs.
6. Calls for nations to trust the United Nations.
7. Total disarmament.
8. Promote the United Nations as the hope for peace.
9. Promote UNESCO, the deadly educational and cultural arm of the United Nations.
10. Promote interdependence.
11. Support sanctions honoring Father Pierre Teilhard de Chardin-the New Age Humanist Priest.
12. Support the belief that the economic principle of traditional Christian or Catholic social doctrine is the economic principle of communism.
13. Promote the Pope as the acting go-between for the United States and the Soviet Union.
It doesn’t really matter what kind of religious or political affiliation a member professes, when they take an oath as a Knight they are obligated by that blood oath of obedience to follow the political lead of the Vatican and will do so to their dying breath-as all good Knights of Malta do. Their first loyalty is to the Vatican, anything else is secondary. Each and every member is under complete and total obedience to the Vatican’s political ambitions.
The Order of Malta has ambassadors or diplomatic representatives in more than eighty nations, and enjoys Permanent Observer status at the United Nations General Assembly.”
It is a known fact that Rick Joyner is very focused on warfare and the Knights of the Roundtable. Here is a quote from Joyner:
“Like the nation of Israel, the Order of St John the Baptist seems to have been uniquely preserved to play a part in the final battle between light and darkness. The church, and even Western civilization, is no less in jeopardy today than it was in the time of Suleiman. Conflicts within the church have weakened her to the point that she is more vulnerable to the enemy than ever. Even so, the Lord is not constrained to deliver by many or by few. He still has those who are true noblemen, who are establishing noble families throughout the earth. They are bound together by a common faith that transcends denominational differences. They, too, have vowed not to retreat before the enemies of the cross, nor yield a single acre of ground to the enemy of our faith.
The Lord is again calling together true knights of the Spirit. They will stand unified in spite of all the petty divisions and spiritual wars that go on around them. They know who the real enemy is, and they, too, will stand without wavering against the greatest darkness of their times, and they will push the darkness back. Some of these are in the modern Order of St John. Some of them may be in your church. One of them may even be you.” (pg 58, end of author’s text)

The Significance of the Date of Todd Bentley’s commissioning:
What is significant about the date and Rick Joyner being one of the presiding “apostles” at Todd Bentley’s commissioning is that June 23 is the eve of the Feast Day of Saint John, the Knights of Malta’s feast day!
The Sovereign Military Order of Malta observes as its feast day Saint John’s Day, June 24th. It is not insignificant to note that Saint John’s Day is on the same date as Midsummer’s Day, the pagan holiday of Litha. It is a time when pagans worshipped the sun god through the summer solstice.
“Midsummer may simply refer to the period of time centered upon the summer solstice, but more often refers to specific European celebrations that accompany the actual solstice, or that take place on the 24th of June and the preceding evening. European midsummer-related holidays, traditions, and celebrations are pre-Christian in origin and have been superficially Christianised as celebrations of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist as “Saint John’s Eve” festivals.”
“Midsummer fires served as sun charms to keep up the heat. Midsummer Eve, however, afterwards nominated as John the Baptist’s Eve, was a great fire-day far and wide. Von Buch, the traveller, speaks of seeing custom observed within the Arctic Circle.An old writer about Ireland remarked–”A stranger would imagine the whole country was on fire.” Brand writes of the Vigil of St. John–”They make bonfires, run along the streets and fields with wisps of straw blazing on long poles, to purify the air which they think infectious by believing all the devils, spirits, ghosts, and hobgoblins abroad this night to hurt mankind.” One, writing in 1867 said–”The old pagan fire-worship still survives in Ireland though nominally in honour of St. John. On Sunday night bonfires were observed throughout nearly every county the province of Leinster.” As Easter Day was of old devoted to Astarte, the East goddess, so was St. John’s Day to Baal.”
The Feast of the Nativity of St. John is set down in the Papal calendar for the 24th of June, or Midsummer-day. The very same period was equally memorable in the Babylonian calendar as that of one of its most celebrated festivals. It was at Midsummer, or the summer solstice, that the month called in Chaldea, Syria, and Phoenicia by the name of “Tammuz” began; and on the first day–that is, on or about the 24th of June–one of the grand original festivals of Tammuz was celebrated.
For different reasons, in different countries, other periods had been devoted to commemorate the death and reviving of the Babylonian god; but this, as may be inferred from the name of the month, appears to have been the real time when his festival was primitively observed in the land where idolatry had its birth. And so strong was the hold that this festival, with its peculiar rites, had taken of the minds of men, that even when other days were devoted to the great events connected with the Babylonian Messiah, as was the case in some parts of our own land, this sacred season could not be allowed to pass without the due observance of some, at least, of its peculiar rites. When the Papacy sent its emissaries over Europe, towards the end of the sixth century, to gather in the Pagans into its fold, this festival was found in high favour in many countries. What was to be done with it? Were they to wage war with it? No. This would have been contrary to the famous advice of Pope Gregory I, that, by all means they should meet the Pagans half-way, and so bring them into the Roman Church. The Gregorian policy was carefully observed; and so Midsummer-day, that had been hallowed by Paganism to the worship of Tammuz, was incorporated as a sacred Christian festival in the Roman calendar.
But still a question was to be determined, What was to be the name of this Pagan festival, when it was baptised, and admitted into the ritual of Roman Christianity? To call it by its old name of Bel or Tammuz, at the early period when it seems to have been adopted, would have been too bold. To call it by the name of Christ was difficult, inasmuch as there was nothing special in His history at that period to commemorate. But the subtlety of the agents of the Mystery of Iniquity was not to be baffled. If the name of Christ could not be conveniently tacked to it, what should hinder its being called by the name of His forerunner, John the Baptist? John the Baptist was born six months before our Lord. When, therefore, the Pagan festival of the winter solstice had once been consecrated as the birthday of the Saviour, it followed, as a matter of course, that if His forerunner was to have a festival at all, his festival must be at this very season; for between the 24th of June and the 25th of December–that is, between the summer and the winter solstice–there are just six months. Now, for the purposes of the Papacy, nothing could be more opportune than this. One of the many sacred names by which Tammuz or Nimrod was called, when he reappeared in the Mysteries, after being slain, was Oannes.
In other words this particular day, June 23, the beginning of Saint John’s Day and Midsummer Day is an ancient pagan celebration to the god Baal or Tammuz and it is marked by FIRE. Is it a coincidence that Todd Bentley is always talking about the Fire, and that his ministry is called Fresh Fire?
Here’s an early 20th Century NY Times article on the pagan significance of St. John’s Day (June 24). Here are just some quotes that highlight fire worship.
“How many and varied have been the forms of what we may term degenerate fire worship, or, rather fire worship ceremonial and superstitious rites engrafted on Christianity?….It appears to me to be simply a survival of the worship of Baal which was the universal fatih of our fathers–a remnant of that great fire worship which prevailed over the whole world, as known to the ancients….”
Here is Todd Calling for a spirit of fire and a spirit of burning. Unfortunately for him he is calling for the judgment of God. Isa 4:4 - The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
Mt 3:12 - His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Mt 13:40 - “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
1Co 3:13 - his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.
Heb 10:27 - but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Another interesting occurrence happened on this same date in 1947:
“The modern UFO era and the birth of the extraterrestrial hypothesis began on June 24, 1947, when Kenneth Arnold, flying his private plane near Mount Rainier in Washington, reported nine disk-shaped objects flying in formation at speeds he estimated to be over 1,000 miles per hour”
Is this all a coincidence? If so then there seems to be unseen hands arranging these circumstances and causing these men to speak certain phrases on an occult holiday.”
