Vision for Fred Phelps of God Hates Fags, Westboro Baptist Church WBC, Kansas
I had originally written an article inspired about the infamous Pastor Fred Phelps, of Westboro Baptist Church, Topeka, Kansas, organisation ‘God Hates Fags’, here:
Fred and his people every single day denies the Bible, God’s character, and Christ’s mission and finished work, merely with their organisation’s name ‘God hates fags’. The first few words of John 3:16 state… ‘For God so loved the world…’ ‘World’, by the way, includes ‘fags’ as well as ‘hypocrits’. So when anyone says ‘God hates fags’ they actually deny John 3:16 and also dare to oppose what Christ did because of their own blinkered hatred.
As well as ‘God Hates Fags’, God according to Fred Phelps, also hates America, Canada, Sweden, and Ireland, Roman Catholics, Muslims and Jews, so it is not just fags apparently that are exempt from the love of God.
Fred and his church is the obnoxious organisation who are regularly on the news for all the wrong reasons - such as picketing military veteran’s funerals. More on Fred is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church
The mob at WBC are odious and self promoting media whores, who will use any means, fair and foul, with no regard for people’s (or God’s) feelings to promote their self serving message of hate.
According to Wikipedia,
When Kevin Oldham a homosexual musician died of AIDS-related causes in 1993, Phelps sent a photo of Kevin to his parents with the caption: “Kevin Oldham: Dead Fag”. in the wake of the tragic Amish school shooting, members of Westboro Baptist Church (Fred’s church) planned on picketing the funerals of the five girls killed in the shooting. Their signs were going to call the girls “whores” and that they are “burning in hell”. In an attempt to stop them, news radio personality/host Mike Gallagher attempted to dissuade them. After first rejecting a monetary offer, Gallagher offered them an hour of unrestricted airtime on his show. WBC accepted, and the picket was called off.
On October 5, 2006, members of WBC were “hosts” of the Mike Gallagher’s radio show, with Gallagher giving periodic warnings to listeners that they (the members of WBC) did not represent the views of him or the station. In February of 2007, the WBC threatened to picket the funeral of ten Bardstown, Kentucky family members who died in a fire as well as a similar one in Tennessee where four children died in a fire. In both instances, fliers were sent to the communities stating that God “hates” both states “for promoting sodomy and immorality” and for the states “rabidly persecuting” the church. However, on the Friday before the Bardstown funerals, the church elected to use an hour of radio time to promote their message.
On the day of the April 16, 2007 campus massacre on the Virginia Tech campus, the church declared its intent to protest the funerals of the students killed. This was announced on the church’s website. In a deal similar to that struck for the victims of the Amish school shooting, the church has agreed to not protest these funerals in lieu of three hours of unrestricted airtime on Gallagher’s show. On August 2, 2007 they have announced they will be picketing those who have died when the I-35W Mississippi River bridge collapsed.
In 2005, the British TV network British Sky Broadcasting produced an investigative piece using hidden cameras, which included footage of two of Phelps’ granddaughters, Libby and Jael. In the testimonial, Libby and Jael explain that they hope and pray that no one outside of Westboro becomes “elect,” because they want everyone else in the world to die horribly and burn in Hell, and that even if they didn’t believe their actions were dictated by God, they would still do and enjoy them anyway.
Anyway, after having someone purporting to be Pastor Fred Phelps come visit this site, while praying I asked God last night if He specifically wanted to say something to Fred, and this is what it is (it does not just apply to Fred but also his family):
“Fred, I saw a vision of you as a doctor in what was a hospital ward (symbolising being a minister in the world amongst the lost and hurting). I was reminded of the scripture ‘it is not the healthy that need a doctor but the sick.’ (eg Christ came to saves sinners (the sick) and not the righteous (the healthy)). However as you walked among the sick patients, instead of helping them or healing them, you injected the sick patients from a syringe full of poison…(poison = hatred, bitterness, vile). You went and did harm and not help, you did not at all please the Lord with what you did in any sense, and you do not currently serve him, you actually worked against Him. He says this about you: not I. In the vision, you walking among them looked so cold and grey and bitter and almost like a cardboard cutout flat and lifeless and two dimensional (lifeless, lacking joy and happiness and were also deeply hurting yourself). Hear the word of the Lord, Fred, you are not doing His work, neither are you reflecting his life or character. However…
Come, let Him change you. Repent and allow the Lord to put healing balm in your hands, that you may truly do his work as His Servant, and be full of life, light, joy and peace.”
